  • Agricultural product distribution means all economic activities ranging from farmers(agricultural products producers) to consumers. In general, as the domestic agricultural product distribution channel is complicated and many distribution agents are involved in the distribution process, it takes a lot of distribution costs and is characterized by a relatively high distribution margin. Therefore distribution agents involved in the distribution channel requires an integrated, unified information system based on an accurate and seamless information exchange and mutual information sharing to integrally manage information. In this paper, we propose a standardization plan for database structures to use and share the distribution information among distribution agents and to implement an integrated distribution information system.

  • This study examined the effects of information volume and distribution on learners' cognitive load and recall in a mobile augmented reality (AR) environment. Information volume refers to the degree of information users are provided in a learning task, while information distribution indicates the way in which information is distributed, either in a virtual or real format. Sixteen undergraduate students participated in the study, which employed a 2 × 3 randomized block factorial design with repeated measures. Information volume and distribution were independent variables, and factors in learners' cognitive load (mental effort, perceived ease of use, and perceived task difficulty) and recall test scores were the dependent variables. Information volume had significant main effects on perceived ease of use and task difficulty, and recall test scores, while information distribution had significant main effects on perceived task difficulty and test scores. A detailed discussion and implications are provided.

  • The purpose of the study are summarized as follows : First, it has researched the possibility of the Distribution Information application in Sea Food Wholesale Market. Second, the effects which the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler Corporations can obtain in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information are classified into the effects of task, cost, and competition. It has analyzed the influence of these effects in direct and indirect Trust between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, it has recognized the upcoming problems in Sea Food Wholesale Market by building up a Distribution Information, and it has suggested a plan to make the Distribution Information application successful in Sea Food Wholesale Market. This study has used a questionnaire to verify 5 hypotheses. Research model, factor analysis, correlation relationship analysis. The result of this study are summarized as follows : Building up the Distribution Information influences positively on the effectiveness of task, cost and competitiveness regardless of it being the Wholesale Market Company or the Intermediary Wholesaler corporation. However, the results of this analysis are to verify differences according to the degree of construction of the Distribution Information and the degree of the perception of the problems between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations have shown that there were distinct differences in the degree of computerization and of efforts to build a Distribution Information. Also there were distinct differences according to the degree of perceiving problems relating to building up the Distribution Information and the stages of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations. This study suggest three important steps that will help to establish a successful Distribution Information. First, the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations should make efforts to increase mutual profits in partnership, and make direct Trust by sharing mutual information. Second, the lack of understanding of the Distribution Information between departments within the company requires educating employees about the Distribution Information. It is necessary to expand the communication networks of the Distribution Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler. Third, mutual exchange of Information should be possible to offer systematic exchange of Information between the Wholesale Market Company and the Intermediary Wholesaler corporations.

  • Nowadays meteorological information is systemized as a useful knowledge which has a significant effect on the overall industrial domains over the simple data. The distribution industry, which has the short life cycle, depends on the meteorological information at the strategic level. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the continuous investment in meteorological information because there is a hostility to paying for a service, particularly it does not provide accurate and reliable information. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to increase the usefulness of meteorological information in the distribution industry for its economic effectiveness from the core meteorological factors. We found significant meteorological factors (temperature, precipitation, disaster) that have a critical influence on the distribution industry through the hierarchical analysis process, and their importance according to the type of distribution channels, such as department store, large-scale discount store, convenience store, and home shopping. We performed the AHP analysis with 103 survey samples by middle managers from the various distribution channels. We found that precipitation is the critical meteorological factor across the distribution industry. Based on this result, we stress the difference in the level of the meteorological information in order for the effectiveness of each type of distribution channels.

  • Kullback-Leibler (KL) information is a measure of discrepancy between two probability density functions. However, several nonparametric density function estimators have been considered in estimating KL information because KL information is not well-defined on the empirical distribution function. In this paper, we consider the KL information of the equilibrium distribution function, which is well defined on the empirical distribution function (EDF), and propose an EDF-based goodness of fit test statistic. We evaluate the performance of the proposed test statistic for an exponential distribution with Monte Carlo simulation. We also extend the discussion to the censored case.

  • In computer vision, salient object is important to extract the useful information of foreground. With active contour analysis acting as the core in this paper, we propose a bottom-up saliency detection algorithm combining with the Bayesian model and the global color distribution. Under the supports of active contour model, a more accurate foreground can be obtained as a foundation for the Bayesian model and the global color distribution. Furthermore, we establish a contour-based selection mechanism to optimize the global-color distribution, which is an effective revising approach for the Bayesian model as well. To obtain an excellent object contour, we firstly intensify the object region in the source gray-scale image by a seed-based method. The final saliency map can be detected after weighting the color distribution to the Bayesian saliency map, after both of the two components are available. The contribution of this paper is that, comparing the Harris-based convex hull algorithm, the active contour can extract a more accurate and non-convex foreground. Moreover, the global color distribution can solve the saliency-scattered drawback of Bayesian model, by the mutual complementation. According to the detected results, the final saliency maps generated with considering the global color distribution and active contour are much-improved.

  • Recent developments and trends in the electric power consumption clearly indicate an increasing use of DC in end-user equipment. According to the trends, new DC power distribution systems have been researched and developed although we presently enjoy a predominantly AC power distribution system. We can use various grounding schemes in DC distribution system as well as in AC distribution system to protect human body and equipments. However, we need to evaluate carefully which grounding scheme is appropriate for a specific system before applying those schemes. In this paper, we analyze the human safety and system effect according to various grounding schemes in Low Voltage DC (LVDC) distribution system. Some components in LVDC distribution system are modeled and computer simulations are conducted by using ElectroMagnetic Transient Program (EMTP).

  • Degree distribution can provide basic information for structural characteristics and internal relationship in social network. It is a critical procedure for social network topology analysis. In this paper, based on the mean-field theory, we study a special type of social network with exponential distribution of time intervals. First of all, in order to improve the accuracy of analysis, we propose a spreading coefficient algorithm based on intimate relationship, which determines the number of the joined members through the intimacy among members. Then, simulation show that the degree distribution of follows the power-law distribution and has small-world characteristics. Finally, we compare the performance of our algorithm with the existing algorithms, and find that our algorithm improves the accuracy of degree distribution as well as reducing the time complexity significantly, which can complete 29.04% higher precision and 40.94% lower implementation time.
