The Role of Source Credibility of Streamer and Platform Policy in Live-commerce: A Perspective on Reduction of Consumer's Uncertainty (라이브 커머스 스트리머의 자원 원천 신뢰성과 플랫폼 정책의 역할: 소비자 불확실성 감소의관점)

  • Live commerce, a rapidly growing sector, facilitates real-time interaction between streamers and consumers about specific products. This business model aids rational purchasing decisions by offering visual demonstrations of product usage. This study aims to identify potential uncertainties faced by consumers in live commerce and propose strategies to mitigate these uncertainties for streamers and platforms. A research hypothesis was formulated based on prior studies and tested through surveys conducted on consumers aged 20 and above with live commerce experience. The study revealed that a streamer's credibility (trustworthiness, expertness, and reputation) significantly impacts purchase intention by mitigating uncertainty. The platform's return policy also interacted with product uncertainty, influencing consumer purchase intention. These findings provide a roadmap for creating a tailored service strategy for live commerce platforms, focusing on reducing uncertainty in the product purchase process.

  • Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become the focus of societal attention due to its wide range of applications and profound impact. This paper constructs a comprehensive theoretical model based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2), integrating variables such as Personal Innovativeness and Perceived Risk to study the key factors influencing enterprises' adoption of Generative AI. We employed Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to verify the hypothesized paths and used the Bootstrapping method to test the mediating effect of Behavioral Intention. Additionally, we explored the moderating effect of Perceived Risk through Hierarchical Regression Analysis. The results indicate that Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence, Price Value, and Personal Innovativeness have significant positive impacts on Behavioral Intention. Behavioral Intention plays a significant mediating role between these factors and Use Behavior, while Perceived Risk negatively moderates the relationship between Behavioral Intention and Use Behavior. This study provides theoretical and empirical support for how enterprises can effectively adopt Generative AI, offering important practical implications.

An Examination of the Relationship between Learning Outcomes of Employees Participating in Work-Study Integrated Degree Programs and University Efforts in Response (일학습병행 재직자학위연계 교육과정 참여학생의 학습성과와 대학측 대응 노력 간의 연관성 고찰)

  • The degree-linked programs for employees, operated by joint training centers in specialized universities that have implemented work-study integrated programs, are educational programs that require an annual government budget of around 80 billion KRW. However, the 70+ universities running these programs face issues such as a decline in academic achievement and an increase in dropout rates among students. In this paper, I conducted multiple regression analysis based on observed and measured information to examine whether the participating students in these programs are achieving an appropriate level of academic performance and to identify the factors that universities need to invest in to achieve that level. To do this, I hypothesized a causal relationship between the university's input factors and students' academic achievement, and used the SPSS program to analyze the statistical data, confirming the validity of the hypothesis. The collected data for the study were obtained through a survey developed using a Likert 4-point scale, which quantified the distribution of grades among students enrolled in IT-related departments offering the degree-linked programs for employees and the emotional contact efforts made by the universities to motivate them for academic success. Particularly, through the results of multiple regression analysis, it was confirmed that these input factors, unlike those for students in general education programs, require more personalized and frequent interactions.

Manual Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis: A Review of Clinical Study (족저근막염의 수기요법에 대한 문헌 연구 보고)

  • Objectives This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of manual therapy for the treatment of plantar fasciitis by reviewing existing randomized controlled trials. Specifically, it seeks to identify various manual therapy techniques and evaluate their applicability in clinical settings. Methods The study reviewed literature from six databases (PubMed, the Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, ScienceON, Research Information Sharing Service, Korean studies Information Service System) up to April 2024. Studies were selected based on criteria including randomized controlled trials involving manual therapy for plantar fasciitis. Results An analysis of ten studies involving 714 patients revealed the use of techniques such as joint mobilization, muscle relaxation, and pressure point techniques. Manual therapy was found to be more effective in reducing pain than both extracorporeal shock wave therapy and routine physical therapy alone. However, caution is needed in generalizing these results due to the limited number of studies analyzed. No significant adverse effects were reported. Conclusions Manual therapy demonstrates potential as an effective treatment for plantar fasciitis, offering benefits in pain management and functional recovery. However, further high-quality randomized controlled trials are necessary to strengthen the clinical evidence and establish standardized treatment protocols.

  • The Fourth Industrial Revolution is driving transformative changes across society, leading to a surge in demand for professionals skilled in computer technologies. However, traditional education systems face challenges in adapting to rapidly evolving technologies, with long learning durations and high costs. In response, microdegrees have emerged as a solution, offering focused, short-term learning in specific fields, thereby enhancing flexibility and accessibility in education. This study explores how microdegrees provide new opportunities within existing educational frameworks, examines their roles and impacts across various domains, and identifies key elements to consider when designing microdegree programs. Ultimately, microdegrees will play a crucial role in rapidly adapting to technological trends and cultivating the workforce needed for the future. This research aims to contribute to foundational studies on microdegrees, driving educational innovation and proposing a new educational paradigm.

  • This study proposes a novel model to address the security, usability, and scalability challenges of cryptocurrency wallets. The model is implemented as a web application that combines FIDO2 (Fast Identity Online v2) with Account Abstraction (AA), offering enhanced security by storing private keys within the Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) of users' mobile devices. By utilizing two types of private keys, the model supports three account types, allowing users to flexibly select security levels and functionalities according to their needs. The research findings show that the proposed model provides strong security against various attack scenarios while also improving usability and scalability. By integrating hardware wallet-level security with the convenience of software wallets, this new paradigm for cryptocurrency wallets is expected to contribute to the widespread adoption of blockchain technology

  • The amount of information on the Web is explosively growing as the Internet gains in popularity. However, only a small portion of the information on the Web is truly relevant or useful to the user. Thus, offering suitable information according to user demand is an important subject in information retrieval. In e-commerce, the recommender system is essential to revitalize commercial transactions, raise user satisfaction and loyalty towards the information provider. The existing recommender systems are mostly based on user data collected at servers, so user data are dispersed over several servers. Therefore, web servers that lack sufficient user behavior data cannot easily infer user preferences. Also, if the user visits the server infrequently, it may be hard to reflect the dynamically changing user's interest. This paper proposes a novel personalization system analyzing the user preference based on web documents that are accessed by the user on a user device. The system also identifies non-content blocks appearing repeatedly in the dynamically generated web documents, and adds weight to the keywords extracted from the hyperlink sentence selected by the user. Therefore, the system establishes at an early stage recommendation strategies for the web server that has little user data. Also, user profiles are generated rapidly and more accurately by identifying the information blocks. In order to evaluate the proposed system, this study collected web data and purchase history from users who have current purchase activity. Then, we computed the similarity between purchase data and the user profile. We confirm the accuracy of the generated user profile since the web page containing the purchased item has higher correlation than other item pages.

  • Record Information Services is an aggressive action of connecting documentaries focusing on the information needs of user. However, recent studies on the parliament's written information service recognize the necessity that it should segment the user's information requests, and provide personalized service, but have not discussed for specific cases or measures. While the importance of Web services written with the proliferation of information and popularization of the Web is emerging right to know but, it is not being performed properly by lack of sufficient manpower and budget along with lack of recognition in hands-on sites upon the user analysis. So, while increasing the efficiency of the hands-on workers of Record Information Services, the introduction of analytical tools that can be utilized in low budget agencies is needed. Web analytics is to analyze the behavior by analyzing Web logs which web users have left you visit the site. To estimate the behavior they want to request information of the analyzed Web user aims to provide a Web service, the Web service further continued improvement. There are several types that include among them Google Analytics offering a variety of analysis items for free and all over the world, many people are already using. This study introduces a Google Analytics web analytics focused and proposes a service improvement plan with specific web user segmentation analyzes the cases of Korea Democracy Foundation of Open Archives introduces them to the actual institutions.

The Influence of an Aesthetically Appealing Product on the Using Time, Flow, and Recall Memory (제품의 심미성이 제품의 사용시간, 몰입도, 정보 기억도에 미치는 영향)

  • Three experiments were carried out in order to determine whether users have longer using time, better recall of product information, and flow in an aesthetically appealing product (media player) in products offering good usability. For the experiment, fourteen emotional words were employed which were made up of 8 aesthetic and 6 usability words. In a preliminary experiment, the subjects freely used three media players and selected emotional words by a 7-point likert scale to distinguish a group of similar usability value and another group contrary to the other in aesthetic and usability value. (N=18) In the main experiment, it was hypothesized that users use more and have more flow and recalled information in the case of the aesthetically appealing product. Therefore, in the main experiment, we measured how much time subjects spent using the product and asked them to make an assumption regarding the time spent by the group that has the same usability value. We then examined the time they spent and the gap between the actual and estimated time. We also calculated the amount of menu information recalled via a questionnaire. In the last experiment, we selected the group of products contrary to each other in aesthetic and usability value and assessed the differences in using time, recall of product information, and flow. (N=18) The empirical results provide evidence that aesthetically appealing products are associated with greater flow and recall of product information than other products, thus supporting the hypothesis. In addition, it was found that there is a positive correlation between the aesthetically appealing product and flow index as well as with recalled information.

Study on the Impact of XAI Explanation Levels on Cognitive Load and User Satisfaction : Focusing on Risk Levels in Financial AI Systems

  • In this paper, we examine the impact of XAI explanations on user satisfaction and cognitive load according to the risk levels defined in the EU AI Act. XAI aims to make the internal processes of complex AI models understandable to humans and is widely used in both academia and industry. The importance and value of XAI are continuously rising; however, there has been little research determining the necessary level of explanation according to AI system risk levels. To address this gap, we designed an experiment with 120 participants, divided into 8 groups, each exposed to one of four levels of explainability(XAI) within low-risk and high-risk financial AI systems. A quantitative approach was used to measure cognitive load, user satisfaction, mental effort, and the clarity of the material design across the different AI system interfaces. The results indicate that the amount of information in explanations significantly affects cognitive load and user satisfaction, depending on the risk level. However, the impact of the level of explanation on user satisfaction was mediated by the material design, which determined how easily the information was understood. This research provides practical, regulatory, and academic contributions by offering guidelines for determining the necessary level of explanation based on AI system risk levels.
