This Study was undertaken to evaluate the present health status and fatigue of the workers in T. Industrial Company in Pusan in Jan. 1971. The results were based on a question are from 354 working girls. The results of this study are as follows: 1. The largest portion of the workers, 20.2% of the questioned employees, were observed to lie at age 20. 2. Regarding their formal education, 76.0% of them had completed middle school. while only 7. 1% had graduated from high school, . 3. 63.0% receive 7-8 hrs. of sleep a day while 18.4% receive S-6 hrs. of sleep a day. 4. 36.4% spend leisure time reading: while 15.5% spend it resting and thinking. 5. 53.8% of them live in the company′s dormitory and 31.6% live at home. 6. Time spent in travel to work: 32.8% spent 40-49 min., 23.6% spent 10-29 min. 7. The shift times were reported as: 44.1% wonting from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M. and 33.9% working from 6. A.M. to 2. P.M. which is what they are doing now. 8. Regarding symptoms of fatigue: 1) Physical symptoms were: 48.3% complained of "feeling bean in the legs, ", and 39.3% complained of "general exhaustion. " 2) Psychological symptoms were: 37.6% said that "it is boring to talk"and 26.3% said" they had a desire to be alone". 3) Nitrogenic symptoms were 49.7% complained of "asthenopia"and 37.0% complained of"vertigo and "staggering legs". 9. When asked about the most fatiguing time during work, the following information was reported: 25.2% felt the first hour in the morning was most fatiguing while 22.9% felt the sixth hour in the evening, and 22.8% eelt the fifth hour at night was. 10. 38.4% complained of sleepiness at 3 A.M. and 35.0% at 4 A.M. during night work. 11. 38.1% found Sunday the most fatiguing work day and 20.% found Monday. 12. The results of the effects of their work on certain diseases: 51.1% showed those with anemia as most effected by work. 13. In their Response to the question, "do you eat breakfast\ulcorner"57.0%, the largest portion, answered, " none at all ": 36.3%, enough. 14. Regarding the accident rate relating to the length of time employed at the company 28.5% was the highest accident rate from 5year to 6 year. As a result of this study, it could be concluded that the employer should consider the following points: 1. employ according to the worker′s vocational aptitude. 2. adjust the shifts. 3. offer rest time and off days, and establish recreational facilities. In the end we can contribute to the promotion of the workers of the workers and to the prevention of accidents due to industrial fatigue.

The demand of construction risk analysis is rapidly increased to improve the competitiveness of construction companies and the sound management of the construction project. However, estimating the amount and uncertainty of the risk is difficult due to the wide range of risks in the construction industry. Moreover, most of the research on risk management of construction risk is only focused on the causes of risk without separate the internal and external risk. This study statistically analysis the internal risk and external risk based on the accidents cases which are caused at construction sites to define the difference and importances of the risk. An accident cause analysis and T-test analysis are carried out to reach the goal of study. The results of the study are expected to be used as a guideline of construction project risk analysis.
While the natural gas supply industry has continuously been growing, its potential hazard has also risen since the natural gas facilities essentially require installations that carry highly flammable and pressurized gas close to the populated areas, posing a serious consequence of significant property damage as well as human casualties in the event of accident. Therefore Quantitative Risk Assessment (QAR) has been recognized as a appropriate method to reduce the risk as far as possible, considering the reality of unachievable zero-risk. However, it is hard to perform effective QRA on hundreds of gas facilities because of insufficient number of expert and long-term analysis. In this paper, we suggest a conceptual QRA system framework to support more efficient risk analysis in gas supply facilities. In this system, the experts make questionnaires and internal calculation formula needed in accident frequency/consequence analysis of the facility through pre-analysis on the point of analysis, called incident point, and general users locate the point on the map and input the value required by the questionnaire to obtain the risk. Ultimately, this is suggested based on the idea that the specialization is available in QRA analysis process and the validity of the system is verified through actual system construction and application.
Since the establishment of Security Business Act in 1976, the Korean private security industry has rapidly grown in the qualitative and quantitative aspects. In the circumstance, various roles of private security guards have been demanded. A private security guard as the first contactor of the users of multi-use facilities should first find an accident field situation and make a response when an accident occurs, and should give first aid as most as possible until emergency medical workers arrive. However, there is a lack of first-aid education for the private security guards who are responsible for the safety of facility users. Therefore, the purpose of this study is first to find how many times private security guards have job and first-aid education, and analyze how the education count influences their first-aid ability; secondly to analyze how private security guards' satisfaction with first-aid education influences their first-aid ability. To achieve the purpose, this researcher conducted a questionnaire survey on first-aid ability of the private security guards working in the metropolitan areas. For data analysis, Stata se/ 14.0ver was applied. For the analysis on validity and reliability, exploratory factor analysis was conducted and a Cronbach's a value was drawn. To find the actual conditions of first-aid education, frequency analysis, inter-group difference analysis, and multi-regression analysis were conducted. According to the data analysis, there were not enough times of job education and first-aid education for private security guards, and their satisfaction with first-aid education and first-aid ability were difference depending on the job and first-aid education counts. Also, their satisfaction with first-aid education partially influenced their first-aid ability.
According to the last 5 year statistics of KGS, there occurred 22 under ground gas pipe accidents per year in Korea. And about 5 accidents per year were caused from the third party digging. IT recognition technique could reduce such underground gas accidents. Among IT recognition technique, RFID is most poplar. In the air, RFID were applied to various fields including the distribution industry, but underground condition, the research and application cases of RFID were little This research was undertaken to see the applicability of RFID to underground gas pipe safety. By use of 900 MHz RFID reader and commercial metal tag, the stable recognition distance was measured in the similar underground condition of LNG pipe. Stable recognition depth of RFID tag were measured to be 50, 45, 25 cm in the medium of soil, 5 cm-thick-concrete+soil, and water respectively. The measured distances were considered to be the meaningful distance to prevent the gas pipe accidents Also the efficient ways to input the required gas pipe data to the 24 byte metal tag were proposed. Application of RFID to underground LNG supply system will not only reduce the gas accidents due to third party digging but also improve the gas line maintenance efficiency.

Objectives: To develop a model of a official management system for agricultural disease, injury and accidents, We analyzed current Korean status and management system about occupational injury and accident of farmers. Methods: For national management systems of industry safety and health and current status of occupational injuries and accidents of farmers, related literature such as books, theses, articles, and web documents were collected and analyzed. Gu-mi hydrogen fluoride leak accident in 2012 was amplified social anxiety for chemical accidents. To relieve these anxieties Off-site Risk Assessment was introduced in 2015. Off-site Risk Assessment is targeted at most chemicals, and most of the high-pressure-toxic gases which are mainly used in high-tech industries such as semi conductor, display, Photovoltaic panels industry are included in the substance of the Off-site Risk Assessment. Since Korean companies occupy a high market share in high-tech industries, high pressure-toxic domestic gas consumption is constantly increasing. Accordingly, it is expected to increase the possibility of accidents. In accordance with the circumstances, this study was to conducted Consequence Analysis(CA) about high pressure-toxic gases those are high demand in domestic. CA was used for ALOHA developed by US EPA & US NOAA and the CA result of Arsine was the largest at 4,700 m. CA results are expected to be utilized for determining the effective Safety distances when high pressure-toxic gas leak.

As the quality of life has been improving, people are getting higher interest and higher expectation for safety. However, the accident rate at the construction site is still high. Therefore, it is urgent to secure the safety at the construction work. Due to the nature of the construction industry, construction sites are directly exposed to the external environment. The possibility of accident occurrence is increased due to various factors such as the always variable processes, the diversity of manpower input, the increase in vulnerable class, and the danger of construction equipment..Particularly, the disasters occurring at the small- or medium-sized construction sites (budget ≤ 12 billion KRW) account for 88.9% of the total disasters at construction sites (73.4% for casualty). It was due to the lack of management caused by the absence of supervisors and insufficient safety measures. Moreover, it is difficult for the small- or medium-sized construction sites to apply basic safety measures such as safety education and safety facility installation by themselves in order to prevent disasters because they don't have sufficient safety organizations. It is because they have relatively less safety personnel and poorer technology system than large-sized construction sites. Therefore, in order to reduce accidents in construction, it is necessary to prevent accidents at the small- and medium-sized construction sites. From this point of view, the objectives of this study were to identify the key risk items causing accidents frequently by analyzing the accidents at construction sites and identifying problems associated with safety management, and to secure the safety at the small- and medium-sized construction sites.

In 2017, the ratio of the number of victims and deaths in the construction industry was the highest with 25.2% and 29.6%, respectively. Especially, as safety accidents at construction sites continue to increase, the economic loss is greatly increased too. Therefore, in order to prevent safety accidents in the construction work, the safety risk assessment index by type of construction was developed, and the main results of this study are as follows. First, 17 factors related to safety accidents at construction sites were derived through survey and interview survey, and this study suggested 9 items(process, type of construction, progress rate, contract amount, number of floors, safety education, working days and weather) throughout the expert advisory meeting. Second, the risk assessment index for safety accidents was developed based on the ratio and intensity of safety accidents. Third, to verify the risk assessment model, the construction safety risk assessment index by type of construction was derived by surveying and analyzing the statistics of the construction accident. In addition, the risk strength was calculated by dividing human damage caused by construction safety accidents into those killed and injured. The risk assessment index based on the frequency and intensity of safety accidents by type of construction is expected to be utilized as basic data when assessing the risk of similar projects in the future.

There have been many efforts to identify and eliminate the direct causes of the construction accident, but many accidents are still occurring in the construction industry. The main reason for the construction accident is not because of ignorance of the causes, but because of safety insensitivity. This paper analyzes why construction workers feel safety insensitivity and how safety insensitivity varies depending on their age and work experience. A survey of 103 construction workers confirmed that systematic safety education is the most important factor in minimizing safety insensitivity of construction workers. On the other hand, economic reasons such as cost reduction were identified as the most tempting factor to increase safety insensitivity. In addition, the survey results showed that those in their 40s and 50s, the largest proportion of construction workers, have a significantly higher level of safety insensitivity than those in their 20s and 60s. These findings are expected to be valuable source that can be used to prevent construction safety accidents.
