The statistics of occupational injuries and illnesses is one of the most important indicators of worker's safety and health in the field of occupational safety and health. The conventional statistics was produced without consideration of gender difference. This study was planned to investigate the difference of occupational injuries and illnesses by gender because that recently female workers was increased through the change of industrial structure such as from manufacturing dominated to service dominated structure. Statistics of occupational injuries and illnesses collected by workmen's compensation insurance system that have no information about gender composition of population. Economically active population survey was used to calculated the rate of occupational injuries and illnesses by gender. The distribution of estimated rate of occupational injuries and illnesses by industry, occupation and the type of accident were different between male and female employees, but those by the size of enterprise, age of the injured, the duration of the first recuperation, and job tenure were similar between male and female employees. This study has shown that gender sensitive approach may be applied to policy of occupational safety and health because that gender neutral perspective may not discover the fact of gender specific problems.
The characteristic of fire and explosion related to electrostatic discharge is that it is difficult to reproduce the electrostatic charge and discharge phenomenon in addition to the large human and material damage. Therefore, in order to prevent accidents and disasters related to electrostatic in fire and explosion hazard areas, it is important to manage the level of electrostatic in a safe manner from the perspective of system between industrial facilities and human bodies. Rule 325 of the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations, "Prevention of Fire / Explosion due to Electrostatic", requires the use of grounding, conductive materials, humidification and electrification in order to prevent the risk of disaster caused by static explosion and electrostatic in the production process. In order to comply with these measures, related technologies, standards and systems are needed from the viewpoint of preventive measures related to electrostatic in fire and explosion hazard areas, but in Korea, it is still insufficient. Therefore, technical, institutional and managerial measures are needed as a precautionary measure to improve the level of ESD safety in fire and explosion hazard areas and prevent electrostatic related injury. In Korea, we analyzed the current status and characteristics of electrostatic related disaster by using the statistics of industrial accident and fire statistics of the Ministry of Employment and Labor. We also analyzed the current status and characteristics of electrostatic related disasters in Japan using JNIOSH accidents and disasters investigation cases and JNIOSH fire accident data of Japan Fire Bureau. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the current status of electrostatic related accidents and disasters in Korea and Japan in order to improve the safety management of electrostatic in fire and explosion hazard areas. In order to prevent accidents and disasters in the industrial field, The technical, institutional, and managerial measures to manage the level of electrostatic in a safe state were derived from the system point of view.

Local governments are required to take measures to prevent occupational accidents under Articles 4(2) and 4(3) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and this study suggested the necessity of establishing an IT-based integrated safety and health information sharing system for serious accident reduction and safety and health management through the case of Incheon Metropolitan City. Recently, as local governments have established labor and health ordinances and basic plans, the need for an independent integrated safety and health management system based on local industrial characteristics has increased. It is necessary to establish a cooperation and support system with basic local governments and hub institutions, share integrated safety and health information with related institutions and organizations, and play a pivotal role in regional safety and health management by managing occupational accident statistics and implementing basic policies. The system through local governments' safety and health management will reduce serious accidents in the region, and the comprehensive safety and health management system for small businesses and projects ordered by local governments will strengthen the operability of the site, which will be effective in preventing critical accidents and industrial accidents.
This study is to observe the effectiveness of the applied model and to present the improvement plan and directions for development for the case management practical model suitable for the actual condition of Korea Labor Welfare Co. and needs of the industrial injury patients. The concrete purpose of this study is: First, observe the difference of stressor experience and experience degree between the experimental group and the comparative group. Second, observe the difference of stress of the experimental group and the comparative group. Third, find out how the stress affects the support degree and satisfaction degree. Fourth, present the improvement plan of case management model, which can promote the psychosocial rehabilitation of the industrial injury patient based on the research results. The outline of the main research results identified in this study is as follows. The stressors the industrial injury patients perceived are health problems, family matters, the problems concerning hospital recuperation (hospital staff and environmental problems), economical problems, problems of coming back to society, problems with companies, problems with Korea labour Welfare Co. and other problems. And the experience of stressor was prominently lower in experimental group than comparative group in the whole problem, health problem, problems with Korea Labour-Welfare Co. and other problems. The stressor experience degree was conspicuously lower in experimental group in the whole problem experience degree, health problem experience degree, problem with Korea Labour Co. experience degree and other problem experience degree. Besides whether or not the case management is applied is having a prominent affect on the primary factor affecting the stressor experience degree, therefore the patients applied with case management has less stressor than the patient who didn't. The difference of degree of tension experienced by the stressor in both groups, the degree of stress, was not conspicuous in statistics so it shows that the application of case management in this research has not affected the degree of tension. The field which had been the most help was emotional support in help level the experimental group perceived through applying case management about industrial accident patients and recuperation, compensation problem, medical treatment problem, family matters has been helpful in this order. The help level of the whole problem was in higher level than the middle value. The stress factor which affects the case management problem settlement is the whole body of stress. The satisfaction level of help through applying case management was highest in emotional support and family matters, recuperation problem, company problem, compensation problem, and medical treatment problem was the next highest. The satisfaction level of the whole problem was higher than the middle value. The stress factor affecting the satisfaction level of help is the whole body of stress. Therefore to reduce the stress level of industrial accident patients and for them to come back to local societies, we need to reinforce the continuance and responsibility of case management model, increase staff, reinforce the role of counsel and medical treatment, intervene in the patient's plan of leaving the hospital, develop social support system and the need to establish After Care Center.

The KSA caused an error in deriving the statistical measurement items due to the misconfiguration of the safety variables and sub-modules that constitute the safety statistics framework for external causes of death, and pathogenesis, without considering the academic classification system of the field and area of the disaster/accident. By naming it as a mechanism, it was analyzed that the result of poor statistical validity has arrived. Therefore, in this study, by changing the safety parameters according to the WHO safety definition and setting the sub-modules appropriately, the categories of falls, drowning accidents, and accidents exposed to inanimate mechanical forces are classified as accidents at industrial sites and work in daily life. As a result, by systematically re-establishing the complex group of statistical items of the NSO by deriving the field of disasters/accidents according to the nature of the source of external causes of death and setting the relevant domains academically, statistical validity gets better and It is anticipated to play an important role in determining the direction of safe investment.

Objectives: The successful implementation of the Port Safety Special Act is a very important matter. Now that one year has passed since its introduction, this study aims to review the achievements so far and identify future tasks. Methods: The provisions of the Special Act on Port Safety were analyzed and the latest literature related to port safety management was reviewed. In addition, an in-depth interview was conducted with a business owner. Results: The achievements over the past year are as follows. As business operators took greater responsibility for safety management, blind spots in safety were resolved to an extent. Specialized training for the port unloading industry was provided, and a safety management system was established for unloading docks. In addition, the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries was able to intervene in the prevention of safety accidents at ports through the deployment of port safety inspectors. In 2022, the port industry accident frequency and death rate declined compared to the previous year. Conclusions: The "Port Safety Special Act" has become relatively well established in the port industry over the past year. However, since the Serious Disaster Punishment Act was implemented in January of the same year, there is a limit on determining what is necessarily the effect of the Special Act. Future tasks include unifying contracts centered on cargo handling companies, supporting safety management costs, increasing the number of port safety inspectors, producing reliable port disaster statistics, and cooperating between the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

Accidents at construction sites in Korea account for more than half of all industrial accidents. To solve this problem, a policy to strengthen safety education was implemented to ensure the safety of workers. However, it was analyzed that there is a high possibility of accidents because workers did not receive proper safety information for each risk factor due to general lecture-style education. In addition, statistics show that the accident status of workers with fewer years of period is high, indicating that a customized information delivery method needs to be proposed for unskilled workers with fewer years of period. Research on the importance of education has been conducted, but no information delivery method has been identified. For unskilled workers to effectively receive safety information, appropriate delivery formats (text, photos, illustrations, 4D-BIM, 360-based panorama, video, animation) were analyzed, and a new method of education was proposed. If customized safety information is provided according to this proposal, effective information delivery to unskilled workers will be possible, and it is expected to be verified in various ways.

Object: The purpose of this study was to survey the government official support status of the agricultural diseases, injuries and accidents among Korea and foreign countries and to suggest the agricultural policy of Korea. Methods: For this purpose, we analyzed the current national management support status among four foreign countries and Korea about agricultural diseases, injuries and accidents of farmers. For the foreign countries and the national support current status of agricultural diseases, injuries and accidents, related literature such as books, theses, articles, and web documents from the government organization of each countries were collected and analyzed. Key words for web-site and web documents were agricultural diseases, injuries, and accidents, government official system, safety and health, farmer's welfare, and farmer's official support system. UK, United States of America, France, and Japan were selected as the foreign countries' cases. Results and Conclusions: Implications for the agricultural diseases, injuries and accidents derived from the reviews among foreign countries and Korea were as follows: governmental supports should include (1) efforts on unifying administrative systems, (2) special support and management systems focusing on special subjects such as the agriculture that have been neglected, (3) aligned strategies including vision, goals, long-term plans about national safety and health projects, (4) development of supporting systems considering the features of agriculture, (5) systemized national surveys about occupational injuries and accidents for basic statistics and national studies, (6) active prevention efforts of agricultural diseases, injuries and accidents, and (8) specialized funds for safety and health of Korean farmers.

According to the railway accident statistics in recent years, the frequency of accidents has been significantly reduced, due to the advance of related technologies and the establishment of safety information management systems. Nonetheless, accidents due to errors in the operation and maintenance phase and faults in safety design continue to occur. Therefore, to prevent accidents, guidelines for the safety design and manufacture of railway vehicles were established, and a request for the independent safety evaluation of safety designs was made. To respond to this, rail system developers must prepare safety cases as a safety activity product. One of the main items of these safety cases is the safety-related application conditions (SRAC) and, thus, the question of how to develop these SRAC is an important one. The SRAC studies reported so far focused only on the simplicity of the derivation procedure and the specific safety activities in the design phase. This method seems to have the advantage of quickly deriving SRAC items. However, there is a risk that some important safety-related items may be missing. As such, this paper proposes an improved method of developing the SRAC based on the idea of performing both the safety design and safety evaluation activities throughout the whole system lifecycle. In this way, it is possible to develop and manage the SRAC more systematically. Especially, considering the SRAC from the initial stage of the design can allow the safety requirements to be reflected to a greater extent. Also, an application case study on railway signaling systems shows that the method presented herein can prevent the omission of important safety-related items, due to the consideration of the SRAC throughout the system lifecycle.

Purpose: This paper conducts IoT and CCTV-based safety monitoring to analyze accidents and potential risks occurring at construction sites, and detect and analyze risks such as falls and collisions or abnormalities and to establish a system for early warning using devices like a walkie-talkie and chatbot service. Method: A safety management service model is presented through smart construction technology case studies at the construction site and review a relevant literature analysis. Result: According to 'Construction Accident Statistics,' in 2021, there were 26,888 casualties in the construction industry, accounting for 26.3% of all reported accidents. Fatalities in construction-related accidents amounted to 417 individuals, representing 50.5% of all industrial accident-related deaths. This study suggests implementing AI chatbot services for construction site safety management utilizing IoT-based health monitoring technologies in smart construction practices. Construction sites where stakeholders such as workers participate were demonstrated by implementing an artificial intelligence chatbot system by selecting major risk areas within the workplace, such as scaffolding processes, openings, and access to hazardous machinery. Conclusion: The possibility of commercialization was confirmed by receiving more than 90 points in the satisfaction survey of participating workers regarding the empirical results of the artificial intelligence chatbot service at construction sites.
