  • This paper is studied the noise and vibration characteristics analysis of the three-phase induction AC motor of the electrical forklift. And we suggest the method which the reduction orders the noise and vibration to be the mechanical. In other to investigate these characteristics, we considered the mechanical characteristics, the electromagnetic effects, and these interactions. In mechanical, we studied the characteristic of the stator, the bearing supported condition of the rotor, and the sound radiation. In electronically, this paper is considered the harmonic effect which is related the magnetic motive force (mmf) with respect to the characteristic of the slot number of the rotor and the stator and the pole number of the motor. Finally we investigated the overall noise and vibration of the induction motor by relations between the electronically harmonic and the mechanical resonance of the stator. By the analysis of the generally three-phase induction motor, we suggest the design methodology to low noise and vibration.

  • From the discovery of Alago's disk, a number of trials and efforts have been concentrated on a small-sized and light-weighted induction motor. They have devoted themseleves, however, mainly to a improvement of cooling effect, a proper weight-distribution of copper and iron and desirable number of slots. In consequence, such an effort restricted only to the field of design, has resulted in unsatisfactory developments in the insulating materials consisting of the main parts of an induction motor. The quality of fibre and paper which are used as class-A insulation materials with their "compound" and "varnish" has been increased to some extent. Similarly Class-B insulation materials like asbest mica has been almost a combination of inorganic and binding materials. But nowadays synthesic chemistry is making a remarkable progress. So it comes possible for us to have silicon resin and other good ones of similar charateristics. And even a thin silicon resin insures us to get excellent heat-pro f and insulation, so a better space factor and cost-down in motor design have come possible in most advanced nations of the world, but not in our country. Furthermore, a consideration of productivity and economy in manufacturing process has been neglected by a majority of engineers. This is more unpleasant und more undesirable. I think this rational method of induction motor design using new synthesic resin will devote in making your productivity and economy better. And the nation-wide standard value of electric motor size is sited here. size is sited here.

  • Application of induction machines in wind turbine driven generators is a good alternative due to their good characteristics such as efficiency, reliability and low cost. Nevertheless, when isolated operation is required, the application of external capacitive bank, connected to the stator windings, to provide self-excitation results in a rather complex analysis. This paper presents an analysis of self-excited induction generator connected to a load either directly or by an intermediate of a power converter. At first a dynamic model of the induction generator accounting for magnetic saturation is developed. Then a number of balanced and unbalanced capacitors, passive and active loads are verified. Experimental results obtained from laboratory tests are compared to those simulated; the two are shown to be in good agreement.

  • This paper proposes a new diagnosis algorithm to detect broken rotor bars (BRBs) faults in induction motors. The proposed algorithm is composed of a frequency signal dimension order (FSDO) estimator and a fault decision module. The FSDO estimator finds a number of fault-related frequencies in the stator current signature. In the fault decision module, the fault diagnostic index from the FSDO estimator is used depending on the load conditions of the induction motors. Experimental results obtained in a 75 kW three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor show that the proposed diagnosis algorithm is capable of detecting BRB faults with an accuracy that is superior to a zoom multiple signal classification (ZMUSIC) and a zoom estimation of signal parameters via rotational invariance techniques (ZESPRIT).

  • The characteristics of an induction motor vary with the number of parameters and the performance relationship between the parameters also is implicit. In case of the induction motor design, we generally should estimate many objective physical quantities in the optimization procedure. In this article, the multi objective design optimization based on genetic algorithm is applied for the three phase induction motor. The efficiency, starting torque, and material cost are selected for the objectives. The validity of the design results is also clarified by comparison between calculated results and measured ones.

  • In this thesis. we present a new method for inducing a probabilistic dependency grammar (PDG) from text corpus. As words in Korean are composed of a set of more basic morphemes, there exist various dependency relations in a word. So, if the induction process does not take into account of these in-word dependency relations, the accuracy of the resulting grammar nay be poor. In comparison with previous PDG induction methods. the main difference of the proposed method lies in the fact that the method takes into account in-word dependency relations as well as inter-word dependency relations. To access the performance of the proposed method, we conducted an experiment using a manually-tagged corpus of 25,000 sentences which is complied by Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). The grammar induction produced 2,349 dependency rules. The parser with these dependency rules shoved 69.77% accuracy in terms of the number of correct dependency relations relative to the total number dependency relations for best-1 parse trees of sample sentences. The result shows that taking into account in-word dependency relations in the course of grammar induction results in a more accurate dependency grammar.

  • Morphometric observation on the ovarian follicles of ICR strain-female mice has been conducted to investigate the effect of induced inflammation on the follicular populations. Inflammation was induced by administering 25${\mu}\ell$ of turpentine oil intraperitoneally 2 times at the interval of 3 days. Mice showing 5-day estrous cycle about 20 days after induction of inflammation are placed in experimental group. Normal follicles of 100~399$\mu\textrm{m}$ in diameter increased at estrus but those of over 400$\mu\textrm{m}$ decreased. super-ovulation increased the number of normal follicles of over 400$\mu\textrm{m}$. The number of normal follicles of over 400$\mu\textrm{m}$ 48 hours after superovulation was not significantly different between experimental and control groups. Present results indicated that the number of preovulatory follicles 48 hours after PMSG injection did not decrease in the mice which showed regular estrous cycle even after the induction of inflammation.

  • The ovarian cycle, the biological minimum size, and artificial spawning frequency by artificial spawning induction of the female hard clam, Meretrix petechialis, were investigated by histological observations and morphometric data. The ovarian cycle of this species can be classified into five successive stages: early active stage, late active stage, ripe stage, partially spawned stage, and spent/inactive stage. The spawning period was from June to September, and the main spawning occurred between July and August when the seawater temperature exceeds over $20^{\circ}C$. The biological minimum size (shell length at 50% of first sexual maturity) in females were 40.39 mm in shell length (considered to be two years of age), and all clams over 50.1 mm in shell length sexually matured. In this study, the mean number of the spawned eggs by spawning induction increased with the increase of size (shell length) classes. In case of artificial spawning induction for the clams > 40.39 mm, the number of spawned eggs from the clams of a sized class was gradually decreased with the increase of the number of the spawning frequencies (the first, second, and third spawning). In the experiments of artificial spawning induction during the spawning season, the interval of each spawning of this species was estimated to be 15-18 days (approximately 17 days).
