  • Purpose: Mountain biking as a sport and recreational activity has grown rapidly over the previous two decades. The purpose of this study is to analyze differences of leisure satisfaction by demographic characteristics of mountain bike participants. Research design, data, and methodology: To accomplish the purpose, the study employed purposive sample method among nonprobability sampling and collected data from 300 participants. Of collected data, 288 responses were analyzed excepted for uncompleted responses. To analyze data, study utilized statistical techniques including descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, independent-sample t-test, and one-way ANOVA, and to verify difference between individual groups in relation to significant results, Duncan's multiple range was conducted. Results: Findings indicated no differences of leisure satisfaction by gender. Similarly, education level and occupations have not influence leisure satisfaction. Yet, differences of leisure satisfaction by participation frequencies were observed. Of participation frequencies, participants riding 5 times a week were more satisfied with MTB participation than the other groups participating less 3 times a week. Conclusions: The findings provide a couple of insights in terms of promoting MTB participation. In specific, results indicated that MTB would be attractive sports that is able to appeal huge populations regardless of their education and occupation. Furthermore, consistent participation is judged an effective way to increase psychological, educational, and social satisfaction. In this sense, regional MTB clubs could play a salient role in motivating riders to more participate in MTB. Hence, establishing strategies for encouraging club activities are needed.

To this end, Korea-National Survey of Student Engagement(K-NSSE) data involving 814 students from T University were used, and logistic regression analysis and t-test were applied. The main results obtained through this are as follows. First, engineering college students' major satisfaction factors include major-career relevance, college immersion, and positive academic sentiment. Second, depending on the grade, it was confirmed that the factor of major-career relevance in the lower grades, and the factors of meaningful learning experience and college immersion in addition to major-career relevance in the upper grades had a significant influence. Third, the higher the meaningful learning experience, positive academic sentiment, and college immersion, including the major-career relevance, the higher the major satisfaction was found in the middle-class group with a score of BO or higher. This study is meaningful in that it revealed differences in influence by individual characteristics as well as major satisfaction influencing factors that can be practiced in universities such as learning experiences.

  • Purpose: This study investigates the effects of scuba diving resort service quality on customer satisfaction and revisit intention, considering the moderating effects of perceived risk by scuba divers such as individual, social, and physical risks. Methods: This study surveyed scuba divers using scuba diving resorts in South Korea. The data were analyzed using multi-regression and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The results of this study are as follows; all five service quality dimensions (tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy) significantly affected customer satisfaction and customer satisfaction also affected revisit intention. However, no moderating effect by perceived risk were observed between customer satisfaction and revisit intention. The cause of these results is believed to be the nature of scuba diving as a adventure sport. Conclusion: These results implies that scuba divers' purchase action can be different from the general service users from the perspective of perceived risk. Considering the uniqueness of adventure sports of scuba diving, the managers of scuba diving resorts need to act actively paying attention to all dimensions of service quality, and customer satisfaction.

According to the test results, several factors such as sex, age, kind of network lines, usage frequency, e-mail usage, e-shopping, online problem experience might explain the different levels of Internet service satisfaction in the high-speed Internet network. This study might shed a guidance to scholars conducting Internet-related studies and practitioners who plan information policies and business strategies.
