This paper presents a user interface for vision based indirect teaching of a robotic manipulator with Kinect and IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) sensors. The user interface system is designed to control the manipulator more easily in joint space, Cartesian space and tool frame. We use the skeleton data of the user from Kinect and Wrist-mounted IMU sensors to calculate the user's joint angles and wrist movement for robot control. The interface system proposed in this paper allows the user to teach the manipulator without a pre-programming process. This will improve the teaching time of the robot and eventually enable increased productivity. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the performance of the robot control and interface system.

With the aim of examining the effects of implementing international financial reporting standards (IFRS) on teaching accounting and auditing at universities and colleges in Vietnam, a case study was conducted at 30 universities, colleges, and 208 lecturers in Vietnam. Next, the study employed the structural model analysis method by PLS_SEM software to process and analyze the collected data. The research results show that: (1) There are eight factors that affect how IFRS is applied to teaching, including the training program, (ii) teaching staff, (iii) IFRS application regulations, (iv) related party requirements, (v) faculty/school administrators, (vi) teaching aids, (vii) IFRS teaching methods, and (iii) students; (2) there are three factors that affect the quality of teaching staff, including applying IFRS to teaching at the university and colleges, (ii) Regulations on the application of IFRS, (iii) Requirements from related parties. At the same time, the study also shows that, regarding the indirect relationships, applying IFRS to teaching does not play an intermediary role in these relationships. However, at the 10% significance level, it was found that there is an indirect relationship between regulations on the application of IFRS by the Ministry of Finance and the quality of teaching staff through the variable applying IFRS to teaching.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to explore the structural analysis of the relationships among principals and fellow teacher's emotional support, teacher's active motivation for choosing the teaching profession, self-leadership, and child care efficacy and commitment. Methods: Data were collected from 465 child care teachers and analyzed by means of structural equational modeling(SEM). Results: First, principals and fellow teacher' emotional support was found to have a direct effect on teacher's child care commitment, as well as an indirect effect through teacher's self-leadership. Second, teacher's active motivation for choosing the teaching profession was found to have a direct effect on teacher's child care commitment, as well as an indirect effect through self-leadership and child care efficacy. Third, teacher's self-leadership was found to have a direct effect on teacher's child care commitment, as well as an indirect effect through child care efficacy. Fourth, teacher's child care efficacy was to found have a direct effect on teacher's child care commitment. Conclusion: These results suggest the need for a great deal of utility to improve teacher's child care commitment.
Objective: This study investigated the relationship between preschool teachers' creativity, teaching efficacy, and creativity-fostering teaching and examined the mediating effect of teaching efficacy. Methods: A total of 202 preschool teachers participated in this study. The Creative Behavior Inventory (CBI), Teaching Efficacy Scale, and the Creativity-Fostering Teacher Behavior Index (CFTI) were used for the survey. A hypothesized model and alternative model were tested using structural equation modeling. Collected data were analyzed using 18.0 PSAW and AMOS. Results: The results showed that preschool teachers' creativity was positively associated with their teaching efficacy and creativity fostering teaching. Preschool teacher's teaching efficacy positively related to their creativity fostering teaching. Preschool teachers' creativity had a significant positive direct effect on creativity-fostering teaching and also an indirect effect on creativity-fostering teaching via teaching efficacy. Conclusion/Implications: Implications to foster creativity in preschool and kindergarten are discussed, highlighting the necessity for teacher education to promote teaching efficacy as well as teacher's creativity and creativity-related activities.
This study examined whether self-correction or metalinguistic explanation might make a difference in the ability to accurately write two English grammatical structures when learners received indirect teacher feedback in the form of underlining target errors in a Korean EFL college classroom. With the goal of helping low-proficiency students improve their ability to accurately write sentences including nonfinite present participial relative clauses and present participial constructions, four groups were formed: a group which received indirect feedback, a group which received indirect feedback and metalinguistic explanation, a group which received indirect feedback and self-corrected errors, and a group which received indirect feedback and self-corrected errors after receiving metalinguistic explanation. The results showed that the effects of either metalinguistic explanation or self-correction integrated with indirect feedback on learners' ability to accurately write the target structures were not meaningful, while the combined effects of metalinguistic explanation and self-correction were statistically significant.

Indirect determination of pan evaporation (PE) has been highly regarded, due to the advantages of intelligent models employed for this objective. This work pursues improving the reliability of a popular intelligent model, namely multi-layer perceptron (MLP) through surmounting its computational knots. Available climatic data of Fresno weather station (California, USA) is used for this study. In the first step, testing several most common trainers of the MLP revealed the superiority of the Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) algorithm. It, therefore, is considered as the classical training approach. Next, the optimum configurations of two metaheuristic algorithms, namely cuttlefish optimization algorithm (CFOA) and teaching-learning-based optimization (TLBO) are incorporated to optimally train the MLP. In these two models, the LM is replaced with metaheuristic strategies. Overall, the results demonstrated the high competency of the MLP (correlations above 0.997) in the presence of all three strategies. It was also observed that the TLBO enhances the learning and prediction accuracy of the classical MLP (by nearly 7.7% and 9.2%, respectively), while the CFOA performed weaker than LM. Moreover, a comparison between the efficiency of the used metaheuristic optimizers showed that the TLBO is a more time-effective technique for predicting the PE. Hence, it can serve as a promising approach for indirect PE analysis.
Objective: This study explored the relationship between early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy, teacher-child interaction, and preschoolers' school readiness. Methods: The data were drawn from the seventh wave of the Panel Study on Korean Children. The subjects of this study were 1,150 preschoolers and their teachers. Early childhood teachers reported their teaching efficacy, their interaction with preschoolers, and preschoolers' school readiness. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Results: First, early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy did not have a direct effect on preschoolers' school readiness. Second, early childhood teachers' teaching efficacy had an indirect effect on preschoolers' school readiness through teacher-child interaction. In other words, teachers with a high level of teaching efficacy had high-quality interactions with preschoolers, which led to preschoolers showing a high level of school readiness. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study highlight the importance of teachers' high teaching efficacy and high-quality interactions between teachers and preschoolers to improve preschoolers' school readiness. In addition, this study contributes to a better understanding of the mechanism by which teachers' teaching efficacy influences preschoolers' school readiness.
We used structural equation modeling to analyze data from 298 high school students in South Korea to investigate the relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout and the mediating effects of student-perceived need-supportive teaching and students' basic psychological need satisfaction. The results showed that student-perceived teachers' calling was not directly related to students' academic burnout and that student-perceived need-supportive teaching mediated the indirect negative relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout. Furthermore, student-perceived need-supportive teaching and students' basic psychological need satisfaction sequentially mediated the indirect negative relationship between student-perceived teachers' calling and students' academic burnout. Implications and suggestions for future research are discussed based on these results.
This study examines the mediation effect of teacher-child interactions in the process of the impact of teacher's teaching-efficacy on childhood education institutions and classroom environment on peer-play interactions. We used data from 970 children aged between 49 and 55 months and 970 homeroom teachers from the fifth Korean Child Panel (2012) of the Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The model fitness was excellent after data were statistically analyzed with model of structure to testify the relationship and effect among teaching efficacy, classroom environment, teacher-child interactions, and peer-play interactions. First, the analysis also showed that the teacher's teaching efficacy did not influence peer-play interactions directly, but gave an indirect effect on the peer-play interactions with the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. Second, the classroom environment directly and indirectly influenced the peer-play interactions with the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. Third, the variable of teacher-child interactions was fully effective as a mediating variable in the process of the teaching efficacy and classroom environment influence on teacher-child interactions. Teaching efficacy and classroom environment influenced the peer-play interactions through the mediation of the teacher-child interactions. The significance of mediation effect of the teacher-child interactions was verified through a bootstrapping method.
The purpose of this study was to examine impact of hospital computerization on the nursing practice. The study was conducted using the repeated measured design. The subjects were 166 nurses working at surgical nursing care units in a tertiary teaching hospital. A questionnaire was developed based on the Burke's study, and reviewed by a committee for content validity. Eighty-eight nurses responded the questionnaire throughout the study. Indirect nursing care time significantly decreased(p<0.05) after the computerization. These decrease related to time saving in checking physicians' order and writing nursing records. However, the change in direct nursing care time was not clear. In conclusion, the computerization led to the decrease in indirect nursing care time but it did not link to increase in direct nursing care time. Therefore, nurse managers should take into account redesign of the nursing works after computerization.
