  • This study suggests an efficient algorithm for updating discovered association rules in large database, because a database may allow frequent or occasional updates, and such updates may not only invalidate some existing strong association rules, but also turn some weak rules into strong ones. FUP and DMI update efficiently strong association rules in the whole updated database reusing the information of the old large item-sets. Moreover, these algorithms use a pruning technique for reducing the database size in the update process. This study updates strong association rules efficiently in the whole updated database reusing the information of the old large item-sets. An updating algorithm that is suggested in this study generates the whole candidate item-sets at once in an incremental database in view of the fact that it is difficult to find the new set of large item-sets in the whole updated database after an incremental database is added to the original database. This method of generating candidate item-sets is different from that of FUP and DMI. After generating the whole candidate item-sets, if each item-set in the whole candidate item-sets is large at an incremental database, the original database is scanned and the support of each item-set in the whole candidate item-sets is updated. So, the whole large item-sets in the whole updated database is found out. An updating algorithm that is suggested in this study does not use a pruning technique for reducing the database size in the update process. As a result, an updating algoritm that is suggested updates fast and efficiently discovered large item-sets.

Research and Experimental Implementation of a CV-FOINC Algorithm Using MPPT for PV Power System

  • This research suggests maximum power point tracking (MPPT) for the solar photovoltaic (PV) power scheme using a new constant voltage (CV) fractional order incremental conductance (FOINC) algorithm. The PV panel has low transformation efficiency and power output of PV panel depends on the change in weather conditions. Possible extracting power can be raised to a battery load utilizing a MPPT algorithm. Among all the MPPT strategies, the incremental conductance (INC) algorithm is mostly employed due to easy implementation, less fluctuations and faster tracking, which is not only has the merits of INC, fractional order can deliver a dynamic mathematical modelling to define non-linear physiognomies. CV-FOINC variation as dynamic variable is exploited to regulate the PV power toward the peak operating point. For a lesser scale photovoltaic conversion scheme, the suggested technique is validated by simulation with dissimilar operating conditions. Contributions are made in numerous aspects of the entire system, including new control algorithm design, system simulation, converter design, programming into simulation environment and experimental setup. The results confirm that the small tracking period and practicality in tracking of photovoltaic array.

Service Innovation Strategic Consensus: A Lesson from the Islamic Banking Industry in Indonesia

  • This study aims to analyze the agreement of service innovation using contingency approach (manager personality, organizational structure) moderated by leadership agility. The study has been carried out on Islamic banking companies' managers in Indonesia, from East Java and Yogyakarta region using purposive sampling technique with questionnaire and interviews as the method of data collection. The total number of respondents in the sample is 184. This sample is then analyzed using Euclidience Distance Simple Regression and Simple Regression Moderation method. The results prove that: (1) there is a partial fit between incremental strategy with reactive personality and mechanical organizational structure, which increases the service performance; (2) there is a partial fit between radical strategy with proactive personality and organic organizational structure, which increases the service performance; (3) leadership agility is able to strengthen the fit of the relationship between incremental innovation strategy and reactive personality toward service performance; (4) leadership agility is able to strengthen the fit the relationship between radical innovation strategy and proactive personality toward service performance; (5) leadership agility is able to strengthen the fit of the relationship between incremental innovation strategy and mechanical organizational structure toward service performance; and (6) leadership agility is able to strengthen the fit of the relationship between radical innovation strategy and organic organizational structure toward service performance.

  • 본 논문은 헬리콥터 제어 성능 향상을 위한 증분 트위스팅 보상기법을 제안하고 자체 개발한 헬리콥터 시뮬레이터를 통해 그 성능을 검증한다. 본 보상기법은 헬리콥터의 기본 비행제어입력에 2차 슬라이딩 모드 보상입력(일명 트위스팅 보상입력)을 간단하게 추가하는 증분 방식으로, 기존 비행제어법칙의 구조를 그대로 유지하면서 헬리콥터 제어 성능을 향상한다는 데 장점이 있다. 제안된 보상기법은 자체 개발한 헬리콥터 시뮬레이터를 통해 기존비행제어법칙 대비 과도응답 및 정상상태 응답 특성을 개선하는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • This paper presents a technique that can obtain an optimal solution for the Security-Constrained Economic Dispatch (SCED) problems using the Interior Point Method (IPM) while taking into account of the power flow constraints. The SCED equations are formulated by using only the real power flow equations from the optimal power flow. Then an algorithm is presented that can linearize the SCED equations based on the relationships among generation real power outputs, loads, and transmission losses to obtain the optimal solutions by applying the linear programming (LP) technique. The objective function of the proposed linearization algorithm are formulated based on the fuel cost functions of the power plants. The power balance equations utilize the Incremental Transmission Loss Factor (ITLF) corresponding to the incremental generation outputs and the line constraints equations are linearized based on the Generalized Generation Distribution Factor (GGDF). Finally, the application of the Primal Interior Point Method (PIPM) for solving the optimization problem based on the proposed linearized objective function is presented. The results are compared with the Simplex Method and the promising results ard obtained.

  • Earth Anchor method as a supporting system is widely used in the large scale deep excavation of urban areas or slope excavation project. Considering the application frequency of that method and catastrophe of that method under unproper construction management, we can find out many problems relevant to the domestic design and construction management of earth anchor method. When we encounter the cases of rapid increments and various decrements in earth anchor axial forces, considering the characteristic of earth anchor method, it is an essential point to catch the reasons and to prepare countermeasures. This article introduces two actual monitoring examples based on the close analyses of measured data in a typical large scale deep excavation project and slope excavation project. One is a rapidly increasing case of earth anchor axial forces with the continuous advance of incremental deformation in a geological layer interface. And another is a decreasing case of earth anchor axial forces with the construction conditions. The effort of this article aims to improve and develop the technique of design and construction in the coming projects having similar ground condition and supporting method.

항공기 재료 성형시의 손상진전에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Damage Propagation of an Aircraft Material During Forming)

  • In this paper damage propagation of a material during forming is investigated with the concept of continuum damage mechanics. An isotropic damage model based on the theory of materials of type N is adopted to describe the damage process of a ductile material with large elasto-viscoplastic deformation. The stiffness degradation of the loaded material is chosen as a damage measure. The highly nonlinear equilibrium equations are reduced to the incremental weak form and approximated by the total Lagrangian finite element method. To simulate contact condition, extended interior penalty method with modified coulomb friction law is adopted. The displacement control method along with the modified Riks' continuation technique is used to solve the incremental iterative equations. As numerical examples, upsetting problem and backward extrusion problem are simulated and the results of damage propagation and $J_2$ stress contours with and without friction are presented.

Iterative Analysis for Nonlinear Laminated Rectangular Plates by Finite Difference Method

  • A new system of equations governing the nonlinear thin laminated plates with large deflections using von Karman equations is derived. The effects of transverse shear in the thin interlayer are included as part of the analysis. The finite difference method is used to perform the geometrically nonlinear behavior of the plate. The resultant equations permit the analysis of the effect of transverse shear stress deformation on the overall behavior of the interlayer using the load incremental method. For the purpose of feasibility and validity of this present method, the numerical results are compared with other available solutions for accuracy as well as efficiency. The solution techniques have been implemented and the numerical results of example problem are discussed and evaluated.
