The National Forest Seed and Variety Center aims to write a manual for cultivation and characteristic inspection of new seed varieties in Korea, serving dual purposes. The first is the enhancement of the test guidelines, particularly the distinctness, uniformity and stability (DUS) test, for new seed variety, where research and examination are conducted based on the test guidelines. However, if the crop-specific test guidelines are initially reorganized, the details are unclear. Therefore, it seeks to maintain a written record to prevent confusion when the person in charge is changed. The second is to encourage the development of new varieties. By incorporating general characteristics and cultivation techniques in the manual, it seeks to encourage breeders to develop new varieties. Additionally, it serves as an important chronological record of the creation process, thereby helping future manual authors. This article introduces the current status of new plant variety protection and outlines the significance of creating a manual for cultivation and characterization of Actinidia arguta for screening new varieties.

An extensive study on miniaturized bandpass filter(BPF) appropriate for mobile communication systems is presented in this paper. The miniaturization has been accomplished by incorporating low-loss high-index materials inside a resonating cavity fabricated in silicon substrate using micromachining etching techniques. By use of materials with dielectric constant $\varepsilon_r$=500, filters with volume less than 0.11 $mm^3$ have been designed at the center frequency of 5.8 GHz with 3.3% bandwidth. The electrical performances and design tolerances of these filters for a variety of materials and shapes are discussed and design guidelines are presented herein.
FMS is two or more computer controlled units interconnected with automated workhandling equipment and supervised by an executive computer having random scheduling capabilities. The complex nature of a FMS, coupled with the need to maximize its performance, means that such a system can be effectly designed only by iterative computer simulation methods. At the operational level, simulation had a reduced role to evaluate the performance of planned FMS under a variety of operating strategies. This is probably due to the fact that few simulation models are able to access the current status data of the system. This study reviews the role of simulation for design/operation of FMS and suggests an interface scheme for incorporating a simulation package with a FMS operational database. This scheme can be used for reducing the performance gap between design and real operation of a FMS.

Further developments on a dynamic biomechanical model are presented to assess musculoskeletal stresses and human responses. The model being developed is an extension of the Articulated Total Body (ATB) Model, originally developed by Calsapan Corp. for the study of human dynamics during automobile crashes, later adopted to the U.S.Air Force to simulate the reactions of aircrew personnel to such forces typically encountered in various phases of flight operations. Further refinements were introduced by Freivalds and Kaleps(1984) to account for a human neuromusculature. In this study, modelling of active neuromusculature was described and simulations of whole-body human motion were performed using the ATB Model. It indicated the potential of using a muscularized biomechanical model coupled with CAD capabilities to simulate human responses in a variety of industrial settings as well. This will serve as a basis of incorporating computer aided design methods into a muscularized biomechanical models.

RAFT polymerization can produce under controlled conditions polymer chains incorporating well-defined chain ends. By designing a simple way of producing functional RAFT agents, a variety of ${\Box}-end$ groups was successfully introduced onto hydrophilic polymer chains. The ${\Box}-end$ group being a thiocarbonyl thio function was used as efficient chain transfer agent in dispersion or emulsion polymerization to produce original functional latex particles.
The provision of personalized user interfaces for mobile devices is expected to be used for different devices with a wide variety of capabilities and interaction modalities. In this paper, we implemented a multimodal context-aware middleware incorporating XML-based languages such as XHTML, VoiceXML. SCXML uses parallel states to invoke both XHTML and VoiceXML contents as well as to gather composite multimodal inputs or synchronize inter-modalities through man-machine I/Os. We developed home networking service named "HomeN" based on our middleware framework. It demonstrates that users could maintain multimodal scenarios in a clear, concise and consistent manner under various user's interactions.
Numerous cases of enamel renal syndrome have been previously reported. Various terms, such as enamel renal syndrome, amelogenesis imperfecta and gingival fibromatosis syndrome, and enamel-renal-gingival syndrome, have been used for patients presenting with the dental phenotype characteristic of this condition, nephrocalcinosis or nephrolithiasis, and gingival findings. This report describes a case of amelogenesis imperfecta of the enamel agenesis variety with nephrolithiasis in a 21-year-old male patient who complained of small teeth. The imaging modalities employed were conventional radiography, cone-beam computed tomography, and renal sonography. Such cases are first encountered by dentists, as other organ or metabolic diseases are generally hidden. Hence, cases of amelogenesis imperfecta should be subjected to advanced diagnostic modalities, incorporating both dental and medical criteria, in order to facilitate comprehensive long-term management.

Solutions of geotechnical engineering problems require calculation of deformation and stresses during various stages of loading. Powerful numerical methods are available to make such calculation even for complicated problems. To get accurate results, realistic stress-strain relationships of soil are dependent on a number of factors such as soil type, density, stress level and stress path. Attempts are continuously being made to develope analytical models for soils incorporating all such factors. The nature of stress-path dependency, the principle that governs deformations in sand, and the use of Lade's single work-hardening model for predicting sand response for a variety of stress-paths have been investigated and are examined. The test results and the analyses presented show that under some conditions sand exhibits stress-path dependent behavior. The strains calculated from Lade's single work-hardening model are in reasonable agreement with those measured, but some discrepancies occur. The largest difference between measured and calculated strains occurs for proportional loading with increasing stresses and for stress-path directions.

Today, SPA fills many of the same needs as they did thousands of years ago, including relaxation, wellness and stress relief by incorporating many of the same methods embraced by the ancients such as a multitude of hydrotherapy treatments, thalassotherapy and massage therapy, one of the most widely used SPA treatments. The definition is as follows: SPA is entities devoted to enhancing overall well-being through a variety of professional services that encourage the renewal of mind, body and spirit. It was from here that the concept of modernday SPA evolved, incorporating full health and beauty services along with sport, aquatic and rest facilities. Todays SPA, a absolute concept, is being specialized and spread as fast as undefinable just in a word. Thalassotherapy, a kind of SPA therapy, contains minerals and trace elements. Born more than 4,000 years ago in ancient Egypt, thalassotherapy comes from the Greek words for thalasso(sea water) and therapeia(to heal). Thalassa was the Greek personification of the Mediterranean Sea that surrounded them and gave them so much of their sustenance. It helps to nourish, hydrate and refine skin texture and also eliminate metabolic waste and toxins in the body. Thalassotherapy is recommended for post-natal and postsurgery recovery period, chronic fatigue, circulatory problems, cellulite control and dermatological problems. It's also possible to enjoy the thalassotherapy SPA as a day guest. Be sure to try the jansu massage, given in the heated sea water pool. As a trained therapist gently whisks clients through the womb-warm water, clients can practically feel the toxins leave their body. Many women from all over the world have been kept up beautiful skin with applying thalassotherapy to their faces and bodies since long times and these days in France, they are getting great curative clinical effects from renovative and scientific technological combination. Thus thalassotherapy will be absolutely ultimate form of natural healing which can keep and recover human's health and beauty.
