The purpose of this study is to investigate and to develop a decision support system for supporting the outworn facility replacement analysis in shipbuilding. This paper also provides an information system which can be effectively applied to various criteria in decision making. The modelbase of decision support system uses the concepts of the analytic hierarchy process along with an appropriate scoring methods. The AHP represents an improvement over other well-known scoring approaches since the criteria weights of priorities established by the AHP are not based on arbitrary scales, but use a ratio scale for human judgements. The proposed methodology in this research enables the decision maker to evaluate the investment alternatives based on qualitative data and quantitative data in a systematic way.

Torsion mode or bending mode of drive-line for rear-wheel drive vehicle exists in low frequency band. If resonance exists there between natural mode of driveline and powertrain excitation force, drive-line will manifest excessive vibration response. Also, the vibration response can be transmitted to vehicle body and can induce booming noise. A vehicle in this study exhibits a booming noise problem under specific transmission gear condition. To draw performance improvement plan, finite element analysis technique was used. Modification was evaluated qualitatively and priorities were derived. Finally, effectiveness of best modification was verified through test and full vehicle FE analysis.

This paper proposes a novel data prioritization and transmission mechanism to minimize the number of packets transmitted and reduce network overload using the constrained application protocol (CoAP) in resource-constrained networks. The proposed scheme adopts four classification parameters to classify and prioritize data from a sensor. With the packet prioritization scheme, the sensed data having the lowest priority is only delivered using the proposed keep-alive message notification to decrease the number of packets transmitted. The performance evaluation demonstrates that the proposed scheme shows the improvement of resource utilization in energy consumption, and bandwidth usage compared with the existing CoAP methods. Furthermore, the proposed scheme supports quality-of-service (QoS) per packet by differentiating transmission delays regarding priorities.

In the future, all kinds condition of industrial safety is a primary need in all advanced countries in which workplace safety is an issue. Furthermore, the increasing complexity of production systems and the rapidity of technological innovation have consolidated the recognition of the strategic value of safety, alongside the traditional competitive factors such as quality, costs, delivery time and flexibility, In this paper, the some critical issues of changes and counter-plan in an adequate safety management were identified by above considerations as follows： needs of systematic identification and analysis of safety factors； requirements to define priorities and budgeting to support the decision-making process; and needs of audit activities and indicators which measure company performance in terms of safety improvements, and so on.

In the past few years with the popularization of the Internet using mobile devices such as the universal in the field of information technology has made rapid development and spread, the width and speed of change is also expected to grow much. As a result Internet telephony (VoIP) was to emerging, VoIP as a leader in next-generation converged services, the proliferation of IPTV services, including the successful introduction and subsequent convergence of the early to gauge whether the settlement is much distance in terms of importance. Therefore, this research using the Internet and telephone customer satisfaction survey, and Kano analysis is important from the perspective of the customer requirements by looking at what the Internet phone service in the development and improvement priorities are supposed to be able to stand.

The application of computers and information technologies progressed with remarkable pace has paved the way for technological innovation toward the efficient integration of various functions in a manufacturing system. Actually it is observed that the greater part of manufacturing companies already initiated significant efforts to integrate information systems and attained the level of integration to some extent. The purpose of this paper is to clarify the strategic direction that manufacturing firms are pursuing through integrating information systems. Using the extensive data gathered from Japanese manufacturers, it is attempted to find the differences in competitive priorities and action programmes between the companies with high and low-level system integration. Our empirical data reveals that the manufacturers with highly integrated system are focusing their competitive capabilities on the rapid design change and new product introduction, and accordingly they place a greater emphasis on the action programmes related to design, process and quality improvement. As a conclusion, highly integrated firms tend to pursue new product development strategy more intensively, thereby they want to be a preemptor in the new market through exploiting technological advantages of integrated manufacturing system.

In the automated manufacturing systems, the problem regarding how to make production activities flexible is even more important and critical than that regarding how to product large quantities, and the more flexible, if possible, the manufacturing system is, the more competitiveness and profitable factors it gets. This research, therefore, concentrated on establishing the flexibility and evaluating performance on the manufacturing system, operational flexibility is considered because of enabling the manufacturing system to get both the improvement of production rate and the adaptive ability of environment changes. For it, we used the analytical tool, GSPNs, which is a kind of timed Petri-Nets. GSPNs is competent enough to consider practical situations just like operation priorities, machine failure, randomness, concurrency and so on. Through the GSPNs analysis, it is confirmed that in the manufacturing system with operational flexibility is compatible with the traditional performances such as production rate or mean waiting time.

When English language teachers are deciding on their priorities for teaching pronunciation, it is imperative to know what kind of differences and errors are most likely to interfere with communication, and what special problems particular first-language speakers will have with English pronunciation. In other words, phoneme discrimination skill is an integral part of speech processing for the EFL learners' learning to converse in English. Training using sound visualization technique can be effective in improving second language learners' perceptions and productions of segmental and suprasegmental speech contrasts. This study assessed the efficacy of a pronunciation training that provided visual feedback for EFL learners acquiring pitch and durational contrasts to produce and perceive English phonemic distinctions. The subjects' ability to produce and to perceive novel English words was tested in two contexts before and after training; words in isolation and words in sentences. In comparison with an untrained control group, trainees showed improved perceptual and productive performance, transferred their knowledge to new contexts, and maintained their improvement three months after training. These findings support the feasibility of learner-centered programs using sound visualization technique for English language pronunciation instruction.

This study was to indicate the direction of the family life education program through understanding people's concerns in the family life education areas and their needs for the program conditions. The results of this study were, 1) Their priorities about educational subjects were human development and parent ing for the adolescent group and the adult group and the family relationships and parenting for the elderly group. 2) They wanted the program provided by Professional educators in social education institutes or a local autonomous entity. 3) They needed the program such as 1 week period, 1-2 hours per subject, places within 30min from home.

정된 예산으로 철도선로시설을 개선하고자 할 때 사용할 수 있는 효과적인 예산배분 방법 중 하나는 가장 노후도가 심각한 선로구간부터 우선적으로 예산을 투입하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 예산배분에 사용할 수 있는 선로구간 노후도 평가방법을 제시한다. 선로구간의 노후도는 궤도, 분기기, 노반, 교량, 터널 등 요소 시설물의 노후도로 결정되며 궤도의 선형 또한 선로구간 노후도에 영향을 준다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 노후도 평가 방법은 각 요소의 노후도 점수에 AHP로 구한 요소 가중치를 반영하여 선로구간 노후도 점수를 구하는 것이다.
