A selection of viewpoint is a first priority for landscape evaluation. However, it has been artificially carried out by a subjective method without of criterion. Therefore, this study proposed the objective and quantitative viewpoint selection methods using space syntax and GIS. For this, the study area on samduk3 residential improvement district located at Daegu city was divided into 24 sectors of visibility zone by distance and direction. After that, the preliminary viewpoints equally distributed in space were selected by axial map analysis of space syntax and viewshed-frequency analysis of GIS. According to the result of selection of the final viewpoints using the VEI(Viewpoint Evaluation Index), all the final viewpoints were placed in the National Debt Repayment Movement; VEI value of VP-2 was 112.63 in the foreground, VP-10 was 18.31 in the middleground and VP-18 was 5.55 in the background. Selected viewpoints were verified as a big changing of landscape variation and high chance of view such as the public area, the park and the high-density residential area. Thus, VEI will be used as a quantitative method of selecting viewpoints and it is expected to be able to use as the objective indicator.

With the advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies, the provision of data-driven AI services that enable automation and intelligence is increasing across industries, raising concerns about the AI security risks that may arise from the use of AI. Accordingly, Foreign countries recognize the need and importance of AI regulation and are focusing on developing related policies and regulations. This movement is also happening in Korea, and AI regulations have not been specified, so it is necessary to compare and analyze existing policy proposals or guidelines to derive common factors and identify complementary points, and discuss the direction of domestic AI regulation. In this paper, we investigate AI security risks that may arise in the AI life cycle and derive six points to be considered in establishing domestic AI regulations through analysis of each risk. Based on this, we analyze AI policy proposals and recommendations in Korea and validate additional issues. In addition, based on a review of the main content of AI laws in the US and EU and the analysis of this paper, we propose measures to improve domestic guidelines and policies in the field of AI.
Upper gastrointestinal series is a diagnostic test that X-ray passes through the stomach after administering contrast media such as barium or gastrografin. Upper gastrointestinal series with an advantage of no side effect except temporary constipation or abdominal pain has been widely used to diagnose diseases of the gastrointestinal system. However, image degradation and diagnostic accuracy frequently occurred when improper movement and breath control were carried out by lack of understanding the overall inspection process for the upper gastrointestinal series. The movie of the upper gastrointestinal series was made for improving inspection accuracy and image quality. The examinees encouraged to see the movie for waiting time before doing upper gastrointestinal series. In this study, image quality and diagnostic accuracy was examined for the effect of the movie about upper gastrointestinal series. 60 patients composed of each 10 people from 30s to 80s were selected randomly among both 2,940 examinees in 2014 and 3,076 examinees in 2015. Image quality was evaluated by the full width at half maximum of profile for each image using the Image J. The measurement of the full width at half maximum showed 0.208 mm and 0.133 mm for after and before seeing the movie. Thus it was verified that the movie education could improve the image quality and diagnostic accuracy for upper gastrointestinal series.
This thesis is about design spirit demanded by the 21st century vehicle design studied in consideration of city commuter. First of all, going over the transition of the last century vehicle design led to the arrangement of the changes in vehicle models. Even though the invention of vehicles brought about immense improvement in living standard of the people, it also brought about other factors that were harmful for human living. Through this realization the main fact that should be emphasized is that the vehicles in 21s1 century should not be a threat to the human life or be the main cause for the environmental pollution of the earth. With the question as to whether the vehicles development direction at the beginning of the year 2000 like the Retro design and Hybrid-Compact car development is appropriate to these demands, the development of City Commuter vehicle (the most human and environment-friendly concept which can also serve as the connecting means in transportation system) and its case studies were compared. Through this, the design spirit that should be inherent in environment and vehicle human and vehicle relationships and the design factors needed for the continuous development of the vehicles were arranged.(classified) Rather than suggesting a new direction for the specific style for vehicle design, this thesis is to emphasize that to improve the standard living of the people with vehicle as a product that will be continually produced in the 21st century, the morals and the mission of the designers about the environment and humanity recovery should be the core of the active movement and education of vehicle design.

The simple bacteria cooperative optimization (sBCO) algorithm that we developed as one of optimization algorithms has shown relatively good performances, but their performances were limited by step-by-step movement of individuals at a time. In order to solve this problem, we proposed a new method that assigned a speed to each individual according to its rank and it was confirmed that it improved the performances of sBCO in some degree. In addition to the assigning of speed to the individuals, we employed a new mutation operation that most existing evolutionary algorithms used in order to enhance the performances of sBCO in this paper. A specific percent of bad individuals are mutated within an area that is proportion to the rank of the individual in the mutation operation. That is, Gaussian noise of large standard deviation is added as the fitness of individuals is low. From this, the probability that the individuals with lower ranks can be located far from its parent will be increased. This causes that the probability of falling into local optimum areas is decreased and the probability of fast escaping the local optimum areas is increased. From experimental results with four function optimization problems, we showed that the performances of sBCO with mutation operation and individual speed were increased. If the optimization function is quite complex, however, the performances are not always better. We should devise a new method for solving this problem as a further work.
This study aims to investigate the technical efficiency of major container ports in the Bay of Bengal area and to study how certain factors influence the efficiency of container ports and terminals. The research is conducted on the four main container ports in the Bay of Bengal area, namely, Colombo Port in Sri Lanka, Chennai Port in India, Chittagong Port in Bangladesh, and Yangon Port in Myanmar. There are three input variables (quay length, storage area, and the number of cranes) and two output variables (throughput twenty-foot equivalent units and vessel calls) chosen for the process in this study. This paper evaluates the efficiency score of the defined variables and suggests implications for further improvement of the core competitiveness of the four selected ports. The findings indicate that Colombo Port is the most efficient on a technical scale, followed by Chennai Port, Yangon Port, and Chittagong Port. However, the slack and radial movement calculation results show that the inputs and outputs of the four ports need to be adjusted to be efficient and to reduce the amount of resources that are wasted. The results validate the adaptability of the improved data envelopment analysis algorithm in port efficiency analysis. The research findings provide an overview of the efficiencies of the selected container ports and can potentially affect the port management decisions made by policymakers, terminal operators, and carriers.

Purpose: This study compares the effects of treadmill gait training accompanied by visual feedback and general treadmill gait training on the gait and balance ability of patients with chronic stroke. Methods: A total of 11 patients with chronic stroke were randomly divided into either the treadmill gait training accompanied by visual feedback group (six patients) or the general treadmill gait training group (five patients). The gait and balance ability of the two groups were measured before and after the interventions using the functional reach test, the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test, Berg's balance test, and the Biodex balance test. The treadmill gait training accompanied by visual feedback group performed the exercise under the supervision of a therapist after first being provided with a hat and a goal that was devised for the purpose of providing visual feedback information. The interventions were applied to the respective groups for four weeks. For the statistical analysis, we conducted a Mann-Whitney test to compare the results between the two groups. Additionally, the Wilcoxon test was used to compare the results from before and after the intervention in each group. Results: The treadmill gait training accompanied by visual feedback group showed a significant difference in terms of the functional reach test after the intervention when compared to the general treadmill gait training group (p<0.05). Although there was no significant difference, the treadmill gait training accompanied by visual feedback group showed a larger improvement in the TUG test, Berg's balance test, and the Biodex balance test than the general treadmill gait training group (p>0.05). Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that treadmill gait training accompanied by visual feedback can be used as a beneficial intervention scheme for the recovery of the gait and balance ability of patients with chronic stroke.
The quantity of noxious wastes generated by the growth in industrialization and population in all over the world and its potential hazards in subsurface environments are becoming increasingly significant. The extraction of the contaminant from the soil and movement of the water are restricted due to the low permeability and adsorption characteristics of the reclaimed soils. Incorporated technique with PVDs have been used for dewatering from fine-grained soils for the purpose of ground improvement by means of soil flushing and soil vapor extraction systems. This paper is to evaluate several key parameters that affected to the performance of the PVDs specifically with regard to: well resistance of PVD, zone of influence, and smear effects. In the feasibility of contaminant remediation was evaluated in pilot-scale laboratory experiments. Well resistance is affected on the vertical discharge capacity of the PVDs under the various vacuum pressures. The discharge capacity increases consistently in areal extents with higher applied vacuum up to a limiting vacuum pressure. The head values for each piezometer at different vacuum pressures show that the largest head loss occurs within 14 cm of the PVD. Air flow rates and head losses were measured for the PVD placed in the model test box and the gas permeability of the silty soils was calculated. Increasing the equivalent diameter results in a decrease in the calculated gas permeability. It is concluded that the gas permeability determined over the 1,500 to 2,000 $cm^3/s$ flow rates are the most accurate values which yields gas permeability of about 3.152 Darcy.
Purpose : The purpose of this study was to find out The effect of Low back pain on the total pattens of Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation(PNF). Methods : The subjects of the study were 62 low back pain patients. They were divided into two groups: 31 in the experimental group and 31 in the control group. the experimental group performed modalities and PNF total patterns three times for a week. the control group performed only modalities and ROM exercise three times for a week. Back muscle strength was measured by a back muscle strength measuring machine, the intensity of pain was measured by the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), and the level of disability was measured by Oswestry low back pain disability index. Study measurements were compared before and after 6 weeks exercise program. The two groups of subjects were assessed by utilizing two different balance measurement: Static standing balance was measured by balance performance monitor (BPM) and Dynamic standing balance was measured by one leg standing(OLS). The scale for static standing balance was measured by using, sway area, sway path, max velocity. Results : The results of this study were as follow: 1) The score on visual analogue scale shows statistically significant increase on PNF group of post test(p<.05). 2) The score on Oswestry low back pain disability index. shows statistically significant decrease on PNF group of post test(p<.05). 3) The change sway area was statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(p<.05). 4) The change sway path was statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(p<.05). 5) The change max velocity was statistically significant on pre-test and post-test(p<.05). 6) The score on one leg standing shows statistically significant increase on PNF group of post test(p<.05). Conclusion : These results of this study indicated that Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Total patterns which performed for six weeks had a statistically significant influence on low back pain. If the exercise for muscle strength is performed along with therapeutic stabilizing exercise, a better effect can be expected on low back pain. We hope that this study will provide a basic data for further research with a bigger group and on a long-term effect.
A 9-month-old female Korean short hair cat weighing 2.2 kg presented for evaluation of a two-week history of obstipation. The owner reported that the cat sustained pelvic fractures 4 months previous to the onset of fecal tenesmus. On physical examination, fecal tenesmus was observed and restriction of the movement of the right coxofemoral joint was evident. Rectal palpation revealed narrowing of the pelvic canal with a hard bony protuberance at the bilateral acetabulum and pubic bones. Radiographs revealed a distended colon with feces and narrowing of the pelvic canal with abnormal structure of the pelvic bone. Conservative management consisting of stool softeners and a warm water enema was instituted; however, there was no improvement in obstipation. Partial iliac, ischial, pubic, and acetabular ostectomies were performed. Postoperative radiographs and rectal palpation revealed the enlarged pelvic canal. Stool softeners (5 ml orally twice daily) was administered following surgery for 14 days and then tapered down to 2.5 ml for 14 days. A warm water enema was performed twice postoperatively. At examination 14 days postoperatively, no problems with defecation and gait were reported. There was no evidence of obstipation and lameness of the left pelvic limb 5 months postoperatively.
