  • We have studied the needs for developing plasma displays with 1080p quality and the possibilities to construct an affordable 42-inch full HD PDP. It seems impossible to get a prototype unless we overcome technical difficulties. First, we should find a way to innovatively improve luminous-efficacy and interconnection problems. At the same time, we should find a way to overcome image quality degradation in single scan.

  • Almost all buildings/infrastructures made of composite materials are fabricated without proper design. Unlike airplane or automobile parts, prototype test is impossible. One cannot destroy 10 story buildings or 100 meter-long bridges. In order to realize “composites in construction”, the following subjects must be studied in detail, for his design: Concept optimization, Simple method of analysis, Folded plate theory, Size effects in failure, and Critical frequency Unlike the design procedures with conventional materials, his design should include material design, selection of manufacturing method, and quality control methods, in addition to the fabrication method.

  • This paper presents a concept design of detail design software for high speed catenary system. In this software, M.D.(mounting diagram) can be peformed and parts D/B can be also managed. french one, used in Kyung-bu high-speed line, is not good at user's interface, and the source code is not opened. So, it is impossible to use it in the different environment and catenary system. Through this program, automation of detail design and user's convenience can be derived.

  • This paper proposes an adaptive fuzzy control scheme for a class of continuous-time nonlinear dynamic systems for which an explicit linear parameterization of the uncertainty is either unknown or impossible. In order to improve robustness under approximation errors and disturbances the proposed scheme includes deadzone in adaptation laws which varies its size adaptively. The assumption of known bounds on the approximation errors and disturbances is not required since those are estimated using adaptation laws. The overall adaptive scheme is proven to guarantee uniform ultimate boundedness in the Lyapunov sense.

Chaos Synchronization using Power Line of Chun′s Circuit (전력선을 이용한 Chua 회로에서의 카오스 동기화)

  • Chua's circuit is a simple electronic network which exhibits a variety of bifurcation and attractors. The circuit consists of two capacitors, an inductor, a linear resistor, and a nonlinear resistor. In this paper, a transmitter and a receiver using two identical Chua's circuits are proposed and synchronizations of a power line are investigated. Since the synchronization of the power line system is impossible by coupled synchronization, theory having both the drive-response and the coupled synchronization is proposed. As a result, the chaos synchronization has delay characteristics in the power line transmission system caused by the line parameters L and C.

  • In this paper, traction system for urban transit maglev system is proposed. Using vector control strategy to control magnitude and frequency of output voltage transiently is general. But in case of traction system for railway vehicle, it is impossible that adapt vector control because there is one-pulse mode in a high speed region. So this paper proposes the control strategy using vector control in a low speed region and slip frequency control in a high speed region. And also proposes overmodulation method that makes to change in one-pulse mode softly. The performance of traction system will be verified by simulation results using ACSL.

  • Several well-known soil classification charts, like made by Robertson(1986,1990), Olsen(1981), existed already. In Korea, Lee Sun-Jae(1997) made new classification chart based on Unified Soil Classification System with locality In this study, 6 classification charts were applied respective area. Even exact decision is impossible which one is correct, this study can give useful guideline.

  • According to the principle of KCR (Korean Cataloging Rules), all headings should be done in Korean. But due to the existence of homonym, arising between Korean and Chinese character, both of them are used in Korea, it is impossible to distinguish original Chiness character of author's name. Therefore, a method to correctly distinguish the Heading in Korean by co-writing Chinese character for headings in Korean character in the author space of body of the entry is presented.

  • The aim of this study is, by the Lime-Stabilization of decayed Organic Wastes, in preventing the reclaimed Waste from being another pollution due to reclaiming those things. 1. A perfect reaction is possible by the addition of poor Stabilization-Lime of 5 percent in a short time of 5 minute. 2. PH of the Stabilization-handled Wastes rise over 12. 3. Malodorant of Stabilized Wastes is slight because malodorant Volatilize in the course of the Stabilization or is captured in the handled subetance. 4. The second pollution scarcely brings about because a rapid decomposition is impossible on account of the coating of Alkali Substance.
