Despite the increasing pervasiveness of electronic commerce, very little empirical research has been done to examine its use in organizational contexts. Based on theories from the technological innovation literature, we developed an integrated model of electronic commerce initiation, adoption and implementation in Korea. We selected a random sample of 500 Korean leading companies. A questionnaire survey examined factors in initiation, adoption, and implementation of electronic commerce. Independent variables of this research were environment uncertainty, organizational characteristics(namely, organizational size, centralization, and formalization), and information system maturity. The resultant study sample included 62 firms across the industries. The empirical tests of the hypotheses were performed. According to our findings, environmental uncertainty, centralization, formalization, and information system maturity have a significant effect on the electronic commerce initiation, adoption and implementation.

실제 많은 기업현장에서 소프트웨어 패키지를 통해 전사적 시스템을 구현하는 기업들이 급증하고 있으나, 상당수 프로젝트들이 실패하거나 기대성과를 충족하지 못하는 사례들이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구는 이 같은 결과가 소프트웨어 패키지를 적용해 시스템을 구현하는 기업들이 패키지의 표준 프로세스에 맞추어 기업 프로세스를 변화시키지 않고 ERP 표준 기능을 상당부분 수정하거나 사용자들이 시스템 도입으로 변화된 프로세스를 수용하고 제대고 적응하지 못하기 때문에 초래될 수 있음을 지적하였다. 그리고 비즈니스 프로세스를 ERP 프로세스에 맞추어 변화시키는 구현단계별 활동이 ERP성공적 도입에 근본적으로 중요하며, ERP구현프로세스에서 비즈니스 프로세스 변화 노력과 함께 변화관리 노력이 통합적으로 이루어질 때 비로소 ERP 시스템 도입성과가 달성될 수 있음을 실증적으로 밝혔다. 본 연구의 결과는 ERP 도입을 준비하고 있거나 구현과정에서 적절한 접근방식을 찾지 못해 고민하는 많은 기업들에게 실용적인 ERP구현 가이드로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The objective of this research project is empirically investigating factors influencing EPP system implementation based on the degree of volatility of business environment. The results show that computes with low volatility have successfully implement ERP system compared to companies with high volatility. This research project also identified success factors of each phased chartering phase, executive participation sound assessment of business condition, good understanding of ERP system and carefully constructed case are identified as success factors. During project expenditures, participation of various groups, technical resources, prefect and change management are found to be important for successful construction. Trained users, integration of systems, well-designed process and technical and human resource are found to be success factors during shakedown phase. Managers commitment technical infrastructure, system flexibility, and adequate resource for maintenance and renewing system are identified as success factors of onward and upward phase.

Critical success factors (CSFs) have been replicated and applied in a wide variety of settings for more than two decades. Most previous research on CSF have focused on identifying critical factors, based on the variance theory, in terms of the correlation between individual factor and Information system (IS) success. However, it is unknown how a set of critical factors Influence each other and lead to IS success, which means the process of IS implementation. in this research, we aim to understand how a set of critical factors influence each other and lead to IS success in the context of IS implementation for Customer Relationship Management based on the process theory. This research has implications In explaining a mechanism leading to CRM systems success based on the influencial relationships among the critical factors.

본 연구는 Openwave WAP Simulator를 이용하여 WML과 WMLScript의 구현 방법을 소개하고자 함에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해서 본 연구에서는 WAP시스템의 구조와 WAP 브라우저의 중류 및 WAP 콘텐츠 개발 방법에 대한 기존 연구들을 살펴본 후 Openwave Phone Simulator는 물론 Oponwave WAP Simulator, Openwave HTTP Simulator, Nokia Mobile Internet Toolkit을 이용하여 이를 구현하였다. 현재 WMLScript의 구현을 위한 제 설치과정과 복잡한 절차들에 대한 연구는 다소 희소한 편이라 본 연구에서는 이러한 제 과정을 순서대로 소개하여 WMLScript를 이용한 모바일 응용프로그램의 개발과 실험을 보다 쉽게 하고자 한다.

본 연구에서는 보다 효율적이고 지능적으로 운영될 수 있는 미래형 우편접수창구를 구축하기 위한 계획을 수립한다. 현황분석을 위해 우선 사용자의 요구사항을 정의하고 현행 문제점과 각종 이슈를 분석하며, 선진국의 다양한 우편서비스 제공기관에 대한 선진사례분석을 수행한다. 선행된 현황분석과 선진사례분석 결과를 기반으로 미래형 우편접수창구에 대한 기념적 모형을 설계한다. 제안된 모형은 무인우편창구, 다량우편창구, 통합우편창구로 대별할 수 있으며, 비효율과 부정확성을 제거하기 위해 정보기술과 자동화기술을 적용함으로써 우편접수 업무가 보다 효율적으로 수행될 수 있도록 설계되었다. 이후 제안된 개념적 모형의 구축을 위한 추진과제를 정의하고, 개별과제에 대한 실행우선순위를 결정하기 위해 현업담당자와 관련 전문가의 설문을 통해 과제들의 중요도와 선후행관계를 평가한 후, 최종적으로 우편접수창구에 대한 구축계획을 수립하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 구축계획을 바탕으로 향후 보다 효율적이고 효과적인 우편접수창구를 구축할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

We presents a source module implementation system using building blocks as one of the software reusing approach. Based on module text retrieval system, system is composed of library management program and new module making program for module management. We build a software module by virtue of the reuser's customization and by applying a practical module to this model and then proved that program development through reusing approach is better than that of writing out a source code directly.

KORMARC used in library bibliographic information, had been pointed several weaknesses such as inflexibility lack of link information and compatibility. In addition, a sudden increase in digital information associated with development of internet is demanding an integration of web resources metadata as the resource of library information. This study mentioned XML/KORMARC system or adaption of XML standard format turned out to be the most efficient way to use KORMARC formats and to expand the range of those information service such as bibliographic information, factual information, referral information and full-text.

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is an important part of interorganizational electronic commerce due to the strategic impact derived from its use. In order to ensure successful implementation of EDI, EDI controls must first be developed. Because they are implemented in an environmental context, the characteristics of organizational environments have a significant impact on EDI controls. The control strategy for the EDI system - formal, informal, and automated controls - should fit certain organizational environments. A research model has been developed to depict the moderating effects of six environmental variables including industry, organizational, and task characteristics on the relationships between controls and implementation. It is shown empirically that the relationships between EDI controls and implementation are indeed affected by these factors. The results can help management design formal, informal, and automated controls in view of their own environmental contexts.

This paper describes the design and implementation techniques of a generic Internet-based telerobotic system. The purpose is to make available the precious technical information and hands-on experience of the authors for the research community. The paper is based on the telerobotics system that the authors recently implemented between KAIST, Korea and Saga University, Japan. In its current functionality, two control modes: high-level supervisory control and low-level supervisory control are explored demonstrating their merits and demerits.
