Small-Signal Modeling and Controller Design of Grid-Connected Inverter for Solid State Transformer (반도체 변압기용 단상 계통 연계형 인버터의 소신호 모델링과 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, a small signal model for grid-connected inverter with unipolar pulse width modulation method is presented. Small-signal analysis allows to predict the stability and dynamics of the inverter. To regulate output voltage and to achieve power factor correction, inverter has two control loops. Loop gains are useful to identify the stability for multi-loop controlled system. Based on small-signal model, controllers are designed to improve audio susceptibility and output impedance characteristics. Proposed small-signal model and controllers are verified by PSIM simulation and experiments.

  • We propose a coordinated motion control algorithm of dual manipulators handling a flexible object. The controller is designed so that it can specify the apparent impedance of the object as well as can control its deformation. The experimental results will illustrate validity of the proposed algorithm.

  • In this paper, the patient monitor consisting of amplifier, scan converter, A/D converter, CRT amplifier, and micro-controller part was developed. This patient monitor measures the patient's 4 states in the hospital such as electro-cardiography, respiration, blood pressure, and temperature. The control and processing methods based on micro-processor employ the flexibility, extensibility and economy over other conventional system. The followings are incorporated in this system. First, record the heart rate trends for 1 and 4 hours respectively. Second, measures the respiration by impedance pneumography. Third, measures the blood pressure with auto-zero balance. Fourth, linesrize the temperatures by bridge method.

  • This paper discusses the operation zone of distance relay on transmission line connected unified power flow controller(UPFC). Depending on operating conditions of UPFC, the trip characteristics of distance relay is influenced by the prefault conditions. In this paper, apparent impedance of distance relay influenced by the UPFC control of distance is calculated.

  • The control of flexible joint robot is getting more attentions because its applications are more frequently used for robot systems in these days. This paper proposes a robust impedance controller for the flexible joint robot by using integral sliding mode control and backstepping control. The sliding mode control decouple disturbances completely but requires matching condition for disturbances. The dynamic model of flexible joint robot is divided into motor side and link side and the disturbance of the link side does not satisfy matching condition and cannot be decoupled directly by the actual input in the motor side. To overcome this difficulty, backstepping control technique is used with sliding mode control. The mismatched disturbance in the link side is changed into matched one in the respect to virtual control input which is the state controlled by actual input in the motor side. Integral sliding mode control is used to preserve the impedance control performance and the improved robustness at the same time.

  • Arc Fault Current is an electric discharge which is occurred in two opposite electrode. In this paper, arc current control algorithm is designed for the interruption of arc fault current which is occurred in the local electric network. This arc is one of the main causes of electric fire. Arc fault in electrical network has the characteristics of low current, high impedance and high frequency. Conventional arc current controller does not have the arc current interrupt function. Hence, Controller of arc current is designed for the interruption of arc fault current which has the modified arc characteristics.

  • The Active Superconducting Current Controller (ASCC) is a new type of Superconducting Fault Current Limiters (SFCL) which can limit the fault current in different modes. It also has the particular abilities of compensating active and reactive powers for electrical networks. In this paper, it is confirmed that the performance of ASCC in different operating modes introduces a limiting impedance in series with the network which can even degrade the transient stability and the operation of the Over-Current Relays (OCR) employed in a power system. In addition, the model of a three-phase ASCC is simulated, and the effect of descriptive modes on the current limiting level is investigated. For the transient stability analysis, a single machine-infinite bus system is tested, and the effect of operation modes is studied based on an equal area criterion obtaining the critical time and the critical angle. Modifying the setting parameters of OCR such as time dial and pick-up current, the protective coordination is also studied in different operating modes.

  • Induction heating system is time varying system around curie point. So, it has many troubles which are system shut down and change the load impedance. In this paper has been designed the parallel resonant inverter which controlling the constant power and tracking the load resonant frequency with PLL is possible, in order to minimize switching losses and solve it's many troubles. The current full-bridge type parallel resonant inverter of an induction heating system was composed of IGBT in switching device. For regulating the output power of an induction heating system, the Fuzzy logic controller is used. The Fuzzy controller makes the control signal for a stable power regulating control and when reference is changed, it is superior to adaptability. It has been evaluated a stable behavior for a noise with switching and a load disturbance.

  • POWER PC series are common to the Central Processing Unit for Military Single Board Computer. Among them, G4 group, which contains the 74xx series supported by Freescale manufacturer is mainly used in the Military applications. We focus on the Interface between memory and controller. PCB stacking method, component routing, impedance matching and harsh environment for Military spec are the main constraints for implementation. Also, we developed memory as a module for the consideration of Military environments. The overall type of SBC should be designed by the form of 6U VME or 3U VME. Therefore this study suggests the electrically optimum Interface matching, Artwork technology based on the signal cross over and PCB stacking method on the harsh environment.

  • The active noise control method that was developed for long duct has some problems to be applied for short duct. To overcome this problem, we apply the SISO(Single Input Single Output) algorithm for the active noise control of short duct using zero acoustic impedance boundary. The SISO algorithm can input noise signal and error signal with one microphone simultaneously. The real-time controller was implemented using TMS320E25 DSP(Digital Signal Processing) chip and it's performance was evaluated by experiment. As a result, we obtain total 4.7dBA noise reduction for 0.80m short duct.
