The cascaded H-Bridge Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) is used for protecting high voltage and large capacity loads from voltage sags. The LC filter in the DVR is needed to eliminate switching ripples, which also provides an accurate tracking feature in a certain frequency range. Therefore, the parameter optimization of the LC filter is especially important. In this paper, the value range functions for the inductance and capacitance in LC filters are discussed. Then, parameter variations under different conditions of voltage sags and power factors are analyzed. In addition, an optimized design method is also proposed with the consideration of multiple impact factors. A detailed optimization procedure is presented, and its validity is demonstrated by simulation and experimental results. Both results show that the proposed method can improve the LC filter design for a cascaded H-Bridge DVR and enhance the performance of the whole system.

The purpose of this study is to reconsider the rating method for the floor impact sound insulation performance in current criterion. Although there are some arguments about proper standard heavy impact source with reproducibility of actual impact source in residence building, bang machine is adopted as the only standard heavy impact source in domestic criterion. To inspect the rating methods of evaluation criteria, this study conducted vibration test for both of standard heavy impact sources and actual impact sources. Using the test results, the floor impact sound insulation performance levels were assessed by each of several criteria. In addition, low frequency noise beyond current criteria was evaluated. Consequently, the floor impact sound levels have different performance levels according to adopted criteria, and measured floor impact sounds are bound to annoy the neighbors in the low frequency range. Current criteria does not consider the spectrum characteristics of floor impact sound according to impact sources and low frequency noise. This may cause the difference between the floor impact sound insulation performance level and human perception. Thus current criterion needs to be complemented to reflect the spectrum characteristics of floor impact sound levels according to impact sources and sound pressure levels in low frequency range.

Impact sounds, such as those created by footsteps, the dropping of an object or the moving of furniture, can be a source of great annoyance in residential buildings. Running and jumping impact sound by child and walking by adult are one of the most irritating noises in an apartment buildings. It's necessary to know that the impact power characteristics of real impact source in an apartment buildings. This study aims to investigate the impact power and impact time of normal walking and fast walking for 62 adults. It is shown that when the weight of the person increase, the maximum impact power increases. The impact power waveform for the adults walking varies for subjects walking types. The normal walking impact power lower than that of fast walking and impact time is higher than that of fast walking. The range of the impact power generated by adults walking is less than 1000 N.

As the hydrogen industry grows, expansion of infrastructure for hydrogen supply is required, but the safety of hydrogen facilities is concerned due to the recent accidents at the Gangneung hydrogen tank and the Norwegian hydrogen fueling station. In this study, the damage range and impact analysis on the on-site hydrogen fueling station was conducted using Hy-KoRAM. This is a domestically developed program that adds functions based on HyRAM. Through this risk assessment, it was evaluated whether the on-site hydrogen fueling station meets international standards and suggested ways to improve safety.

In order to investigate the possibility of processing of brittle material by ball impact, the effects of boundary conditions about impact damage of soda-lime glass by small spheres were evaluated experimentally. It was investigated that crack appearance developed in soda-lime glass with boundary conditions of without sealing, single-sealing and double-sealing by impact velocity. The double-sealing was most effective in the development of perfect cone than other boundary condition. In case of double-sealing condition, PVC and Polyurethane sealing were more effective in producing a perfect cone formation than other sealing materials. The impact velocity range over which perfect cones were formed was influenced by both the contact area and diameter of impact particle.

This study is a fundamental investigation for standardization of the heavy-weight floor impact measuring method by the impact ball. The distribution chrematistics of floor impact sound level and reverberation time in a receiving room of the testing building for floor impact sound were measured with variations of number and arrangement of the sound-absorbing materials. Total 8 cases were investigated. The distribution of the floor impact sound level($L_{i,\;Fmax}$) was measured at 30 points with same intervals. The absorption coefficient of the room is 0.10 in case of installation of 6 absorbing materials and 0.02 in case of non-installation. The distribution shape of the impact sound pressure level was similar to the result of the bang machine driving at the measured frequency range. However, the overall reduction of the impact sound level investigated in the 125 to 500 Hz shows that the sound absorption characteristics of the receiving room actually affects the result of the heavy-weight impact measurement.
This paper describes the failure mechanism and Charpy impact test of Fiber glass Reinforced Plastic composites which it was actually used for side plate of vessel. There are two examinations. The examination I, the specimens which it given temperature range $-25^{\circ}C$-$50^{\circ}C$ and with different initial notch length did impact test and then it compared impact energy(Uc) and impact fracture toughness(GIC). The examination II, the specimens which it putted into fresh water and sea water for scheduled hours did impact test and it compared impact energy(Uc) and impact fracture toughness(GIC). From examination I, it showed that impact energy(Uc) and impact fracture toughness(GIC) were peak at ambient temperature and decrease as temperature reduced. Fracture toughness(GIC) showed increase as initial notch length reduced. From examination II, impact energy(Uc) and impact fracture toughness(GIC) tended to increase which specimens putted in fresh water compared with sea water and maximum tolerance rate tend to decrease as permeation hours will be long.

Although Environmental Impact Assessment(EIA) in Korea has been improved markedly over the past two decades, by enlarging the range of projects for assessment, instituting pub lic participation and environmental monitoring, and similar measures, it remains deficient in its coverage of human health in Environmental Impact Statements(EISs). Health Impact Assessment(HIA) can supply the necessary correctives. HIA is a combination of procedures, methods and tools by which a policy, programme, projects or legislative procedure may be judged for its potential effects on the health of a population, and the distribution of these effects within it. The principle of health protection is, however, established as a primary concern in EIA processes, in practice health is scarcely mentioned or the discussion is limited to a description of effects through the biophysical environment. The whole range of possible effects on health, including those mediated by socio-economic factors is often ignored, and no effective mechanism are in place to successfully incorporating health criteria and expertise into environmental, assessment(EA) that include ElA, SEA. These are foremost among the current issues facing EIA in Korea.

Impact is one of the major cause of damage to fruits druing varios processes from the production on the farm to the consumer. The tissue of fruits are ruptured in a very short period time less than 10ms by impact loading. Mechanical behavior of fruits under impact loading can be analyzed better with high speed sampling data acquisition system and one of them is a digital storage oscilloscope. A impact test system was developed to test the physical properties of fruits including apple, pear, and peach which may lead to a better understanding of the physical laws. The test system consisted of a digital storage oscilloscope and simple mechanism which can apply impact force to fresh produce. Rupture force, energy, and deffrmation were measured at the five levels of drop heights from 4 to 24cm fur each internal and external tissues. Rupture forces for apple and pear were in the range of 72.9 to 87.7 N and 70.8 to 84.1 N for external and internal tissues, respectively. Rupture forces far peach external tissues were in the range of 43.4 to 65.0 N.
As urban growth continues, the earth ecosystem is increasingly dependent on the patterns of urban growth. The impact intensity from urban growth is expected to change predictably with distance from the urban center. However we can't fully understand yet how urban development pattern affects urban ecosystem. In researches about urban ecosystem, it is important to relate the spatial pattern of urbanization to ecological processes. So we used gradient analysis with time data; 1980's, 1990's and 2000's. We attempted to quantify the urban spatiotemporal impacts in Daejeon-city and Cheonan-city, Korea, along a 75km long and 3km wide transect. Through the results, we found the impacts range of urbanization with urban development process of two cities. When the urban growth was concentrated on in both cities, the impacts intensity and range were much stronger and wider. As a result, in urban planning or green space planning, we have to consider suitable urban development forms with surrounding areas, and make legal clauses which limits landuse change. This quantifying the urban gradient is an important step in understanding urban ecology.
