  • As smart devices become popular, users can use authentication services in various methods. Authentication services include authentication using an ID and a password, authentication using a sms, and authentication using an OTP(One Time Password). This paper proposed an authentication system that solves the security problem of knowledge-based authentication using optical character recognition and can easily and quickly authenticate users. The proposed authentication system extracts a character from an uploaded image by a user and authenticates the user using the extracted character information. The proposed authentication system has the advantage of not using a password or an OTP that are easily exposed or lost, and can not be authenticated without using accurate photographs. The proposed authentication system is platform independent and can be used for user authentication, file encryption and decryption.

  • In this paper, we proposed a new authentication method using video that was taken during moving a hand-held camera in front of the face. The proposed method extracted individuality from the obtained image sequences using the parametric eigenspace scheme. Changes of facial appearance through authentication trials draw continuous tracks in the low dimensional igenspace. The similarity between their continuous tracks are calculated by DP-matching to verify their identities. Experimental results confirmed that different motions and persons change the shapes of continuous tracks, so the proposed method could identify the person.

  • This paper presents fingerprint authentication method based on minutiae quadrangle definded by neighboring two Delaunay triangles. In this method, we first make minutiae triangle through Delaunay triangulation which adaptively connect neighboring minutiae according to the local minutiae density distribution, and then use feature vectors in authentication which is extracted from the minutiae quadrangle formed by neighboring two minutiae triangles. This prevents the degradation of matching ratio caused by the errors in image processing or local deformation of the fingerprint, and we can authenticate more discriminately as this method reflects wider local area's topological features than the features extracted from the individual minutiae triangles. To evaluate the proposed algorithm's performance, experiment are conducted on 120 fingerprints, of which size is 256 ${\times}$ 364 with 500dpi resolution. Robust authentications are possible with low FRR.

The copyright protection against a multimedia data hazard the authentication techniques it will be able to confirm the content authentication, ownership authentication, illegal copy of the image which stands is demanded. confronts to the water marking technique of existing and the researches the fact that against a picture is most. In this paper, It does not damage the video data. As inserts copyright information and it protects the copyright. It is with a copyright protection which leads the wavelet transform which is a watermark of frequency base from visual system viewpoint in the human being center with it proposes the watermarking technique against a forgery prevention.

  • In this paper, the multiwatermarking method to make it possible to the authentication, modification detection and copyright protection of the digital image was proposed. After the original image is transformed by the DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform), the encrypted watermark information is embedded into the LSB(Least Significant Bit) of LL band on the low frequence domain for authenticating and detecting modified position in the image. And watermark information is embedded by exchanging the wavelet coefficient for the copyright protection. Thereby, we can authenticate the modification and detect the modified location by extracting the values of LSB on the low frequence domain. And we can perceive the copyright information of original image by extracting the embedded watermark on the high frequence domain.

  • Digital image watermarking techniques have been studied in various fields in order to protect the copyright of multimedia contents mostly composed by images. JPEG compression is a representative copyright attack for image watermarking. The CRT-based watermarking methods in DCT domain have been studied, because these are robust for JPEG compression attack. In this paper, we propose a new method with improved performance compared with the existing CRT based methods in DCT domain. The proposed method selects the DCT block according to the denseness at the watermark insertion phase, and iteratively adjust the CRT Conditional coefficients at the watermark extraction. This paper shows that it is more robust for the JPEG compression attacks through experimental results.

  • Face membership authentication is to decide whether an incoming person is an enrolled member or not using face recognition, and basically belongs to two-class classification where support vector machine (SVM) has been successfully applied. The previous SVMs used for face membership authentication have been trained and tested using image feature vectors extracted from member face images of each class (enrolled class and unenrolled class). The SVM so trained using image feature vectors extracted from members in the training set may not achieve robust performance in the testing environments where configuration and size of each class can change dynamically due to member's joining or withdrawal as well as where testing face images have different illumination, pose, or facial expression from those in the training set. In this paper, we propose an effective class discriminating feature vector-based SVM for robust face membership authentication. The adopted features for training and testing the proposed SVM are chosen so as to reflect the capability of discriminating well between the enrolled class and the unenrolled class. Thus, the proposed SVM trained by the adopted class discriminating feature vectors is less affected by the change in membership and variations in illumination, pose, and facial expression of face images. Through experiments, it is shown that the face membership authentication method based on the proposed SVM performs better than the conventional SVM-based authentication methods and is relatively robust to the change in the enrolled class configuration.

  • The content-based hashing for authentication and copy protection of image, video and 3D model has to satisfy the robustness and the security. For the security analysis of the hash value, the modelling method based on differential entropy had been presented. But this modelling can be only applied to the image hashing. This paper presents the modelling for the security analysis of the hash feature value in 3D model hashing based on differential entropy. The proposed security analysis modeling design the feature extracting methods of two types and then analyze the security of two feature values by using differential entropy modelling. In our experiment, we evaluated the security of feature extracting methods of two types and discussed about the trade-off relation of the security and the robustness of hash value.

  • This paper proposes a novel blind image watermarking scheme exploiting Block Truncation Coding (BTC). Most of existing BTC-based watermarking or data hiding methods embed information in BTC compressed images by modifying the BTC encoding stage or BTC-compressed data, resulting in watermarked images with bad quality. Other than existing BTC-based watermarking schemes, our scheme does not really perform the BTC compression on images during the embedding process but uses the parity of BTC quantization data to guide the watermark embedding and extraction processes. In our scheme, we use a binary image as the original watermark. During the embedding process, the original cover image is first partitioned into non-overlapping $4{\times}4$ blocks. Then, BTC is performed on each block to obtain its BTC quantized high mean and low mean. According to the parity of high mean and the parity of low mean, two watermark bits are embedded in each block by modifying the pixel values in the block to make sure that the parity of high mean and the parity of low mean in the modified block are equal to the two watermark bits. During the extraction process, BTC is first performed on each block to obtain its high mean and low mean. By checking the parity of high mean and the parity of low mean, we can extract the two watermark bits in each block. The experimental results show that the proposed watermarking method is fragile to most image processing operations and various kinds of attacks while preserving the invisibility very well, thus the proposed scheme can be used for image authentication.
