  • We propose a new method to extract valid lines from a visual image. Unsupervised clustering method is used to assign each line to any of the line groups according to its orientation. During the low-level image processing we use an adaptive threshold method to reduce human supervision and to automate the processing sequence. To reduce the misclassification rate and to suppress the superiors line support regions at the clustering stage, the adaptive threshold method is consistently applied. Performing principal component analysis on each line support region provides an efficient method of obtaining line equation. Finally we adopt the theory of robust statistics to guarantee the quality of each extracted line and to eliminate the lines of poor quality. We present the experimental results to verify our method. With the proposed method, one can extract the lines according to the internal orientation similarities and integrate the whole process into one adaptive procedure.

  • This paper presents an adaptive Retinex algorithm for improving dynamic range of image representation. The proposed Retinex algorithm detects degraded brightness by using skewness and the degraded components are compensated with local statistics. In particular, we propose a new compensation function for dynamic range so that effectinve image representation can be achieved. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has the capability to improve the dynamic range with reduction of color degradation.

  • Present paper aims to examine the effect relation among component factors of WOM effects in on-line. Specially, to examine the comparative study on market maven and early adopter. For that purpose, we categorize WOM effect into two subcategories; knowledge improvement, Image improvement, purchase intention. And as the of study, chose student a college. Through these methods, we were able to obtain participation of 96 people from student a college. Using 68 responses(19 responses removed). we derived statistics by means of Win SPSS Version 12.0 statistics program package. The result can be summarized as follow; First, market maven has stronger WOM Effects in On-line on consumer's knowledge improvement, and Image improvement, purchase intention than early adopter. Second, the market maven has stronger effect on early adopter. Finally, we discuss the results of analysis and suggest research limitation and future and future study.

  • In this paper, we present a digital authentication technique using content-based watermarking in digital images. To digest the image contents, Hopfield network is employed on the block-based edge image. The Hopfield function extracts the same tit fur similarly looking blocks so that the values are unlikely to change to the innocuous manipulations while being changed far malicious manipulations. By inputting the extracted bit sequence with secret key to the cryptographic hash function, we generate a watermark for each block by seeding a pseudo random number generator with a hash output Therefore, the proposed authentication technique can distinguish between malicious attacks and innocuous attacks. Watermark embedding is based on the block-based spread spectrum method in DCT domain and the strength of watermark is adjusted according to the local statistics of DCT coefficients in a zig-zag scan line in AC subband. The numerical experiments show that the proposed technique is very efficient in the performance of robust authentication.

  • For a message hiding technique to be effectual, it needs to have availability, confidentiality and integrity. Steganography is the science of hiding one message within other types of digital contents. In this case, attempt to defeat steganalysis by restoring the statistics of the composite image to resemble that of the cover, these discrepancies expose the fact that hidden communication is happening. In this paper, I present a steganography scheme capable of concealing a piece of secrete information in a host image and base on the technique's OCT, RGB, statistical restoration.

  • In this research, we propose a new efficient iterative method for fixed point problems of generalized α-nonexpansive mappings. We show the weak and strong convergence analysis of the proposed method under some mild assumptions on the control parameters. We consider the application of the new method to some real world problems such as convex minimization problems, image restoration problems and impulsive fractional differential equations. We carryout a numerical experiment to show the computational advantage of our method over some well known existing methods.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the modern men's fashion coordination to see the image in the center of TV dramas in terms of Habitu that is formed within hierarchy and class. The subjects range is included fashion style, color, accessories, hairstyle and appearance. 950 pictures used in the analysis sheet. In research methods, content analysis and basic statistics were used. The results of this study were as follows. First, the hierarchy image formed by Habitus is significant difference. The upper layer is coordinating elite luxurious and prestigious image of the fashion styles. The middle layer is coordinating neat and capable image. The lower layer does not care about the appearance and image appearing weary life is coordinating. Second, the class image formed by Habitus, CEO often interests in fashion image coordination. Senior executive is represented clean and luxurious image. General white color dresses in a suite such as office look. Blue color does not care about the fashion coordination and is expressed an easy dress for labor. Architects of the unstructured free-spirited image is represented. Physician and resident physician dress in shirts, no pattern tie, pants, robe. And they is coordinating neat and tidy attire to represent professional and reliable image.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate about the image of aging and attitudes toward the elderly. Method: The instruments in this study were used questionnaires developed by Han and Won. The subjects were 75 nurses and 74 nursing students. The data was collected from May. second to 30th, 2006. Data was analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficients using SPSS Win program. Results: The level of the image of aging was relatively positive between nurses and nursing students. The level of attitudes toward the elderly showed relatively high either. Their image of aging and attitudes toward the elderly were significantly correlated. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop education programs and curriculum in nursing school to increase the positive image of aging and attitudes toward the elderly.

  • This study investigated the effects of sociocultural influence and body image on appearance enhancement behavior (facial management, clothing selection, and weight/figure management). For data collection, a questionnaire was administrated to 378 female college students in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do from May $23^{rd}$ to June $10^{th}$ 2013. A SPSS 18.0 statistics package was used to analyze data along with descriptive statistical analysis, frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis and frequency analysis. The results were as follows. First, sociocultural influences were divided into three factors: media influence, peer influence, and parental influence. Overall sociocultural influences had positive effects on appearance enhancement behavior. Second, body image was divided into: appearances-management, body-satisfaction and body confidence. Sociocultural influences had a significant effect on overall body image. Third, body image positively affected overall appearance enhancement behavior.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships among variables of body image, self-esteem and depression in college female students according to the normal and overweight. Method: The subjects of this study consisted of 245 college female students. The data was collected through personal interviews using questionnaires from May to June of 2001. The data was analyzed by the SPSS computer program, and it included descriptive statistics, x$^2$-test, t-test and the pearson correlation coefficient. Result: Demographics provided a significant difference in grade, household income, weight control experience. There was a perceived health status difference, according to the normal and overweight subjects. There was a significant difference in body image, self-esteem and depression between the two groups. There was a significant positive correlation between body image and self-esteem, and negative correlation between body image and depression, and self-esteem and depression in college female students. Conclusion: The Findings of this study give useful information to construct further studies in intervention program relating overweight control for college female students.
