The Possibilities of Cultural Diplomacy for Sustainable Development at Different Levels of Social Interactions

  • One of the important areas of state policy in the socio-economic and cultural development of the country is cultural diplomacy. It contributes to the information dissemination about the country, strengthens interstate relations, and forms a positive image. Through cultural diplomacy, we achieve a positive perception of the world community of the country, determined by its place in the modern system of international relations. The aim of the study is a comparative analysis of cultural diplomacy opportunities for sustainable development at different levels of public relations, as well as the impact of cultural diplomacy opportunities on the indicators of the Global Sustainable Competitiveness Index and the Global Sustainable Development Index. Regarding the results of the research on the impact of cultural diplomacy opportunities on the indicators of the Global Index of Sustainable Competitiveness and the Global Index of Sustainable Development, four groups are identified among the countries of the European Union: countries with a very high level of sustainable competitiveness and sustainable development; countries with a high level of sustainable competitiveness and sustainable development; countries with low levels of sustainable competitiveness and sustainable development.

Design of image encryption system using multiple chaotic maps (다중 카오스 사상을 이용한 영상 암호시스템 설계)

  • The proliferation of the Internet and the rapid progress of wire/wireless communication technology makes security of digital images more and more important since the exchanges of digital images occur more and more frequently. And as the tight relationship between chaos theory and cryptography, many researches for development of new encryption systems based on chaotic maps have been widely progressed recently. In this paper, we propose a digital image encryption system based on both one-dimensional PLCM(Piecewise Linear Chaotic Map) and two-dimensional baker map. This proposed system is a product cipher that contains a perturbance-based chaotic stream cipher based on ID PLCM and a chaotic block cipher based on 2D baker map and is very high secure and easily implementable cipher having both a good confusion property and a good diffusion property. And with test results, we showed this system is very secure against statistical attacks.

  • Using password on system is easy to build and shorten the access time to authorize user, which is high in use for vary system that requires users' authorization. Many input device are able to perform the password system easily, such as PC, smart-phone, tablet PC, etc. Beside the high usability of password, physical attack occurs when user put their password on the device, known as Shoulder Surfing attack. It used to be formed in numbers, characters or mix of different kinds, but new kind of password arose. Exploiting image or making scenarios are those kinds which are able to reflect users' intentions. Not many estimation exists for new password, so there's need to be standard for those new password for highlighting usability and accessability. In this paper, we propose password system with simple image and switching key-board to test statistical method to estimate usability on the password.

  • There has been increased interest for building energy-saving for worldwide. There is continuing research on IT technology for efficient management of BEMS. Recently, It be able to control of LED and to maximize energy savings to the development of LED lighting technology. We propose the security image processing system to improve efficiency and we implement the real-time status monitoring system to surveil the object in the building energy management system. In this paper, we proposed the system of LED control using IP camera and Adaptive Gaussian Mixture Model for BEMS. We implement LED light control software on the based of the security camera image processing so the reliable controling based on the security camera is possible efficiently.

  • Physical memory analysis has been an issue on a field of live forensic analysis in digital forensics until now. It is very useful to make the result of analysis more reliable, because record of user behavior and data can be founded on physical memory although process is hided. But most memory analysis focuses on windows based system. Because the diversity of target system to be analyzed rises up, it is very important to analyze physical memory based on other OS, not Windows. Mac OS X, has second market share in Operating System, is operated by loading kernel image to physical memory area. In this paper, We propose a methodology for physical memory analysis on Mac OS X using symbol information in kernel image, and acquire a process information, mounted device information, kernel information, kernel extensions(eg. KEXT) and system call entry for detecting system call hooking. In additional to the methodology, we prove that physical memory analysis is very useful though experimental study.

  • As computers and Internet become popular, many corporations and countries are using information protection system and security network to protect their informations and resources in internet. But the Intrusional possibilities are increases in open network environments such as the Internet. Even though many security systems were developed, the implementation of these systems are mostly application level not kernel level. Also many file protection systems were developed, but they aren't used widely because of their inconvenience in usage. In this paper, we implement a kernel module to support a file protection function using Loadable Kernel Module (LKM) on Linux. When a system is damaged due to intrusion, the file system are easily recovered through periodical file system image backup.

Optical Encryption using a Random Phase Image and Shift Position in Joint Transform Correlation Plane (결합 변환 상관 평면의 이동 변위와 무작위 위상 영상을 이용한 광 암호화 시스템)

  • Most optical security systems use a 4-f correlator, Mach-Zehnder interferometer, or a joint transform correlator(JTC). Of them, the JTC does not require an accurate optical alignment and has a good potential for real-time processing. In this paper, we propose an image encryption system using a position shift property of the JTC in the Fourier domain and a random phase image. Our encryption system uses two keys: one key is a random phase mask and the other key is a position shift factor. By using two keys, the proposed method can increase the security level of the encryption system. An encrypted image is produced by the Fourier transform for the multiplication image, which resulted from adding position shift functions to an original image, with a random phase mask. The random phase mask and position shift value are used as keys in decryption, simultaneously. For the decryption, both the encrypted image and the key image should be correctly located on the JTC. If the incorrect position shift value or the incorrect key image is used in decryption, the original information can not be obtained. To demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed system, computer simulation is performed. By analyzing the simulation results in the case of blocking of the encrypted image and affecting of the phase noise, we confirmed that the proposed method has a good tolerance to data loss. These results show that our system is very useful for the optical certification system.

New Construction of (2,n) Visual Cryptography for Multiple Secret Sharing (복수의 비밀 분산을 위한 (2, n) 시각 암호의 새로운 구성)

  • 서울Visual cryptography scheme is a simple method in which can be directly decoded the secret information in human visual system without performing any cryptographic computations. This scheme is a kind of secret sharing scheme in which if a secret of image type is scattered to n random images(slides) and any threshold (or more) of them are stacked together the original image will become visible. In this paper we consider (2, n) visual cryptography scheme and propose a new construction method in which the number of expanded pixels can be reduced by using the sample matrix. The proposed scheme can futhermore distribute the multiple secret image to each group according to the difference of relative contrast.

Detecting Doors Edges in Diverse Environments for Visually Disabled People

  • It is a challenge for visually impaired people to access unfamiliar environments independently, hence the quality of life is reduced, and safety of life is compromised. An accurate and reliable door detection system comprising of way finding and indoor navigation can be beneficial for a large number of autonomous and mobile applications for visually impaired people. This paper illustrates an image-based door detection scheme for visually impaired people using stable features (edges and corners) including color averaging and image resizing. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme shows a significant improvement when compared with existing scheme.

  • 인터넷의 급속한 발달과 이미지 콘텐츠 개발 기술의 발달로 현재 누구나 쉽게 이미지 콘텐츠의 공유 및 배급이 용이해졌다. 그러나 이로 인해 누드나 포르노와 같은 불건전한 유해 이미지들의 접근 역시 쉬워지고 있다. 특히, 스마트 폰이나 스마트 TV 등 멀티미디어 기능이 가능한 휴대장치 및 단말기의 비약적인 발전으로 인하여, 언제 어디서나 우리들은 유해 이미지의 노출되어 있다. 따라서 유해 이미지 시청이 적당하지 않은 연령층까지 무방비 상태에 놓여 있기 때문에 이를 막을 수 있는 시급한 대책이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이중 피부 화소 검출에 이용하여 인체 영역 검출해내고 이것을 이용하여 유해 이미지 분류를 위한 방법을 제안하고자 한다. 일반적으로 피부 화소 검출 기법은 오차율을 가지고 있기 때문에 정확한 검출이 힘들다. 따라서 우리는 검출에 대한 강도를 조절하여 이중으로 피부 화소를 검출하여 좀더 정확한 피부 영역을 획득한다. 또한 기존의 방법들은 대체로 일차적인 피부 영역 검출에 초점을 둔 반면, 유해 판별의 주된 기준이 되는 가슴이나 성기, 엉덩이 등을 좀 더 중점적으로 찾으려 하지 않았다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 검출된 피부 영역에서 유해 부위를 좀 더 집중적으로 찾아 유해 판별 성능을 높이는 방법을 제안하고 실험으로 증명을 하고자 한다.
