  • This study investigated the multifaced country image. The casual relationships among the multifaced country image, attitudes toward a country, and purchase emotion and purchase intention of fashion products with Korean images were also investigated. To conduct a quantitative analysis, we collected data from 296 Korean female consumers. SPSS 12.0 and AMOS 5.0 packages were used for statistical analysis. The results of this study as follows. To identify components of country image of Korea, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted. This procedure produced five components such as culture, technique/product, ethical values, nationality, and space. Structural equational model was used to analyze the relationships among the country image, attitudes toward a country, purchase emotion, and purchase intention of fashion products with Korean image. The proposed model was verified.

PCB 조립검사기의 자동티칭을 위한 부품윈도우 자동추출 방법 (Automatic Extraction of Component Window for Auto-Teaching of PCB Assembly Inspection Machines)

  • We propose an image segmentation method for auto-teaching system of PCB (Printed Circuit Board) assembly inspection machines. The inspection machine acquires images of all components in PCB, and then compares each image with its standard image to find the assembly errors such as misalignment, inverse polarity, and tombstone. The component window that is the area of component to be acquired by camera, is one of the teaching data for operating the inspection machines. To reduce the teaching time of the machine, we newly develop the image processing method to extract the component window automatically from the image of PCB. The proposed method segments the component window by excluding the soldering parts as well as board background. We binarize the input image by use of HSI color model because it is difficult to discriminate the RGB colors between components and backgrounds. The linear combination of the binarized images then enhances the component window from the background. By use of the horizontal and vertical projection of histogram, we finally obtain the component widow. The experimental results are presented to verify the usefulness of the proposed method.

공간주파수 특성을 이용한 DCT 압축영상의 적응 영상 향상 (An Adaptive Image Enhancement of the DCT Compressed Image using the Spatial Frequency Property)

  • 본 논문은 DCT 압축 영역에서 공간 주파수 특성을 이용한 적응 영상향상 방법에 관한 것이다. 영상의 동적범위를 압축하기 위해 Retinex 이론을 이용하여 영상의 조명성분인 dc 계수들을 조절하였으며, 대비를 개선하기 위해 인간의 시각 체계와 계수들의 공간 주파수 특성을 이용하여 ac 계수들을 수정하였다. 세로 방향, 가로 방향, 그리고 혼합된 공간 주파수 성분으로 분류된 ac계수들은 영상향상에 발생하는 블록화 현상을 최소화하기 위하여 적응적으로 수정하였다. 제안된 방법은 영상의 동적 범위 압축과 적응적 대비 개선을 이용하여 기존 방법보다 블록화 현상이 없는 효과적인 영상 향상의 결과를 가져왔다.

평균 및 위너 필터를 사용한 영상 복원에 관한 연구 (A Study on Image Restoration using Mean and Wiener Filter)

  • 영상은 획득, 저장 그리고 전송 등의 처리과정에서 다양한 원인에 의해 훼손되며, 이러한 영상을 복원하기 위한 많은 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 일반적으로 AWGN(additive white gaussian noise)에 의해 훼손된 영상을 복원하는 방법으로 평균 필터와 위너 필터가 있으며, 특히 평탄한 영역에서의 노이즈 제거에 평균 필터가 우수하다. 그러나 평균 필터는 영상의 특징을 고려하지 않으므로 에지 성분이 왜곡되어 평활화되는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 평균 필터와 함께 에지 성분을 보존하면서 대조도 개선에 강한 위너 필터를 사용하여 각각 필터링한 후, 처리된 영상에 가중치를 설정하여 병렬처리하는 영상 복원 방법을 제안하였다.

백화점 실내디자인 이미지의 구성요소 선호도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preference for the Components of the Department Store Interior Design Image -Focusing on Women Customers Resident in Seoul-)

  • When a certain particular department store is chosen by customers due to the good image, the department store will have provided for the conditions that it can precede in competition with other department stores. Based upon it, a survey was made of preference for the department store interior design image component. In order to make the department store image better based upon this study results, the designer should remember that department store is possessed of display and circultation planinorder to give consume the good image. And , as a result of analyzing customers' preference for the details of the interior design image component, the area, primary components of the department store space, should take on specialization , though narrow. The circulation should constitute the free flow system. The ornamental illumination should be emphasized for the secondary component of the department store space. The color planing should be made that is oriented to seasonality and products. The floor should finished with wood. The department store interior should be decorated in a modern and simple form. The display of the department store should be made in a fashion that it takes on seasonality and artistry. These measures can be said to be the desirable method to provide a good image for women customers paying a visit to the department store.

PDE-based Image Interpolators

  • This article presents a PDE-based interpolation algorithm to effectively reproduce high resolution imagery. Conventional PDE-based interpolation methods can produce sharp edges without checkerboard effects; however, they are not interpolators but approximators and tend to weaken fine structures. In order to overcome the drawback, a texture enhancement method is suggested as a post-process of PDE-based interpolation methods. The new method rectifies the image by simply incorporating the bilinear interpolation of the weakened texture components and therefore makes the resulting algorithm an interpolator. It has been numerically verified that the new algorithm, called the PDE-based image interpolator (PII), restores sharp edges and enhances texture components satisfactorily. PII outperforms the PDE-based skeleton-texture decomposition (STD) approach. Various numerical examples are shown to verify the claim.

유전밴드 영상의 위치 인식 및 기울어짐 보정 (Position Recognition and Leaning Correction of DNA Ban Images)

  • 이 논문에서는 직선 허프변환을 이용하여 유전밴드 영상의 위치를 인신한 다음, 영상의 기울어짐을 검출하고 보정하는 방법을 연구하였다. 먼저 스캐너로 입력된 그레이스 스케일 유전밴드 영상을 이진화한 후 직선 허프변환에 위하여 유전밴드 영상에 포함되어 있는 직선성분을 추출하고, 직선성분들이 직교하는 점을 찾아내어 입력하고자 하는 영상의 위치를 인식한다. 그리고 스캐너를 통하여 많은 양의 유전밴드를 영상 데이터를 효과적으로 입력할 수 있도록, 위치인식 과정에서 실시한 직선 허프변환에 의해 영상의 기울어짐을 $1도 이내의 정확도로 검출하고, 기울어짐을 자동으로 보정한다.

DCT 변환상에서 방향성 Zonal 필터를 이용한 화상 데이터 압축 (In DCT,Image Data Compression via Directional Zonal Filters)

  • In this paper we have proposed an efficient coding algorithm using directional filtering. First an image is transformed by using DCT which has better energy compaction and then the transformed image is divided into a low frequency component and several high frequency components. The transformed coefficients of each parts are transmitted respectively by using huffman code and these are transformed inversely at receiver. For the directional components total edge images are reconstructed at zero crossing points. We are able to reduce the amount of data by getting of complex component and making directional angles 90. As a results, this proposed method is better than that of Kunt in respect of processing time and memories. We have 38dB of image quality with objective measurement of PSNR and 0.26bpp of compression ratio which is acceptable.

Implementation of an Enhanced Change Detection System based on OGC Grid Coverage Specification

  • Change detection technology, which discovers the change information on the surface of the earth by comparing and analyzing multi-temporal satellite images, can be usefully applied to the various fields, such as environmental inspection, urban planning, forest policy, updating of geographical information and the military usage. In this paper, we introduce a change detection system that can extract and analyze change elements from high-resolution satellite imagery as well as low- or middle-resolution satellite imagery. The developed system provides not only 7 pixelbased methods that can be used to detect change from low- or middle-resolution satellite images but also a float window concept that can be used in manual change detection from highresolution satellite images. This system enables fast access to the very large image, because it is constituted by OGC grid coverage components. Also new change detection algorithms can be easily added into this system if once they are made into grid coverage components.
