은닉 마코프 랜덤 모델 기반의 전달 맵을 이용한 안개 제거 (Image Dehazing using Transmission Map Based on Hidden Markov Random Field Model)

  • 본 논문에서는 한 장의 영상에서 안개를 제거하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 기존의 Dark Channel Prior(DCP) 알고리즘은 영상의 어두운 정보를 계산하여 전달량을 추정한 후, 매팅(matting) 기법을 사용하여 안개 영역을 보완하여 검출한다. 이 과정에서 블록현상이 발생하는 문제가 있으며 이로 인해 안개를 효율적으로 제거하는데 한계점이 있다. 이 문제를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 Hidden Markov Random Field(HMRF) 와 Expectation-Maximization(EM) 알고리즘을 이용하여 매팅 과정에서 발생하는 블록문제를 해결하고자 하였다. 실험 결과를 통하여 제안한 방법은 기존 방법보다 안개제거에서 더 향상된 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

Create a hybrid algorithm by combining Hill and Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithms to Enhance Efficiency of RGB Image Encryption

  • The greatest challenge of this century is the protection of stored and transmitted data over the network. This paper provides a new hybrid algorithm designed based on combination algorithms, in the proposed algorithm combined with Hill and the Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithms, to increase the efficiency of color image encryption and increase the sensitivity of the key to protect the RGB image from Keyes attackers. The proposed algorithm has proven its efficiency in encryption of color images with high security and countering attacks. The strength and efficiency of combination the Hill Chipper and Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithms tested by statical analysis for RGB images histogram and correlation of RGB images before and after encryption using hill cipher and proposed algorithm and also analysis of the secret key and key space to protect the RGB image from Brute force attack. The result of combining Hill and Advanced Encryption Standard Algorithm achieved the ability to cope statistically

통계적 편차와 히스토그램 변형을 이용한 단일영상기반 고품질 영상 생성기법 (Single Image Based HDR Algorithm Using Statistical Differencing and Histogram Manipulation)

  • In this paper, we propose a high-quality image acquisition algorithm using only a single image, which the high-quality image is normally referred as HDR ones. In order to acquire the HDR image, conventional methods need many images having different exposure values at the same scene and should delicately adjust the color values for a bit-expansion or an exposure fusion. Thus, they require considerable calculations and complex structures. Therefore, the proposed algorithm suggests a completely new approach using one image for the high-quality image acquisition by applying statistical difference and histogram manipulation, or histogram specification, techniques. The techniques could control the pixel's statistical distribution of the input image into the desired one through the local and the global modifications, respectively. As the result, the quality of the proposed algorithm is better than those of conventional methods implemented in commercial image editing softwares.

A Generalized Image Interpolation-based Reversible Data Hiding Scheme with High Embedding Capacity and Image Quality

  • Jung and Yoo proposed the first image interpolation-based reversible data hiding algorithm. Although their algorithm achieved superior interpolation results, the embedding capacity was insufficient. Lee and Huang proposed an improved algorithm to enhance the embedding capacity and the interpolation results. However, these algorithms present limitations to magnify the original image to any resolution and pixels in the boundary region of the magnified image are poorly manipulated. Furthermore, the capacity and the image quality can be improved further. This study modifies the pixel mapping scheme and adopts a bilinear interpolation to solve boundary artifacts. The modified reference pixel determination and an optimal pixel adjustment process can effectively enhance the embedding capacity and the image quality. The experimental results show our proposed algorithm achieves a higher embedding capacity under acceptable visual distortions, and can be applied to a magnified image at any resolution. Our proposed technique is feasible in reversible data hiding.

  • In this paper, we proposed an watermarking algorithm in which invariable sign of DWT coefficients should be used and by which the quality of digital image can be preserved for the protection of copyright. According to the algorithm, through the calculation of the sign DWT coefficients and the use of elements, position of watermark and size value should be decided. By so doing, the algorithm can improve image quality(PSNR) and obtain good efficiency with which strong watermark can be inserted into the digital image.

  • In this paper an improved morphological algorithm for directional defect detection is proposed, where the defect is parallel to the texture image. The algorithm is based on obtaining the background image while removing the defect by comparing every directional morphological result with max or min except that of defect. The defect can of defect and the background image. For a computer simulation, it is shown that the proposed method has better performance than the conventional algorithm.

  • In this study, we compare two image denoising methods which are the Rudin-Osher-Fatemi total variation (TV) model and the nonlocal means (NLM) algorithm on medical images. To evaluate those methods, we used two well known measuring metrics. The methods are tested with a CT image, one X-Ray image, and three MRI images. Experimental result shows that the NML algorithm can give better results than the ROF TV model, but computational complexity is high.

  • In this paper, manufacturing system and Internet are combined and NC milling machine engraves image and text on nameplate. Image and text are input through Internet. And NC tool path is obtained by thinning algorithm and NC part program is generated. Thinning algorithm detects center lines from image and text by using connectivity and tool path is obtained along the center line. Actually experiments are performed and thinning algorithm and G-code generation module are verified.

윤곽선화상과 배경화상을 분리 처리하는 화상데이타 압축기법 (An Image Data Compression Algorithm by Means of Separating Edge Image and Non-Edge Image)

  • 본 논문에서는 화상을 고주파 성분이 포함된 윤곽신 화상과 저주파 성분이 포함된 배경 화상으로 분리하여 압축하는 화상 데이타 압축 알고리즘을 제질하였다. 윤관선 화상은 8방향 경사마스크를 사용하여 검출하고 연속길이 Huffman 부호화 방법을 적용하여 부호화하고 배경화상은 원화상에서 윤곽선화상을 제시하여 줌으로써 추출한 후 DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform)을 취하여 이 개수에 대한 비트 할당표를 구하여 부호화 하였다. 실제 화상에 적용한 결과 최고 신호내 잡음비(PSNR)이 36 dB에서 압축율이 0.52bpp(bit/pixel)로 만족할만한 결과를 보여 주었다.

A Noisy Infrared and Visible Light Image Fusion Algorithm

  • To solve the problems of the low image contrast, fuzzy edge details and edge details missing in noisy image fusion, this study proposes a noisy infrared and visible light image fusion algorithm based on non-subsample contourlet transform (NSCT) and an improved bilateral filter, which uses NSCT to decompose an image into a low-frequency component and high-frequency component. High-frequency noise and edge information are mainly distributed in the high-frequency component, and the improved bilateral filtering method is used to process the high-frequency component of two images, filtering the noise of the images and calculating the image detail of the infrared image's high-frequency component. It can extract the edge details of the infrared image and visible image as much as possible by superimposing the high-frequency component of infrared image and visible image. At the same time, edge information is enhanced and the visual effect is clearer. For the fusion rule of low-frequency coefficient, the local area standard variance coefficient method is adopted. At last, we decompose the high- and low-frequency coefficient to obtain the fusion image according to the inverse transformation of NSCT. The fusion results show that the edge, contour, texture and other details are maintained and enhanced while the noise is filtered, and the fusion image with a clear edge is obtained. The algorithm could better filter noise and obtain clear fused images in noisy infrared and visible light image fusion.
