Ceramide, cholesterol and free fatty acids are the major intercellular lipids, maintaining the integrity of the skin barrier. However, the roles of these lipids in canine skin barrier function are little known. The aim of this study was to evaluate the repairing effects of 2% ceramide (CER), 2% cholesterol (CHO), 2% linoleic acid (LIN) and 2% intercellular lipid mixture (ILM) on damaged canine skin barrier by 1.25% sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS). Transepidermal water loss (TEWL), skin hydration, skin pH and skin thickness were assessed. Histological profiles and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) profiles were assessed on day 12. SLS effectively induced the canine skin barrier damage. TEWL was significantly decreased by topical application of CER and ILM in SLS and vehicle-treated skin on day 8 and 12, respectively (p < 0.05, p < 0.0 I). By end of the experiment all lipids significantly decreased the TEWL as compared with SLS and vehicle control, but CER and ILM more significantly decreased the TEWL than UN and CHO, respectively (p < 0.01). Skin hydration was significantly increased by CER and ILM during experimental periods (p < 0.01). Skin pH was significantly decreased by CER, LIN and ILM. In histological profiles, the thickness of the stratum corneum (SC) was significantly increased by the SC lipids as compared with vehicle and SLS (p < 0.01). Especially, CER and ILM showed more prominent improvement of barrier recovery. In TEM of the SC, SLS induced exfoliations of corneodesmosomes in the SC, and CER and ILM effectively protected exfoliations of corneodesmosomes on SLS-damaged canine skin. These results indicated that topical application of CER and ILM dramatically improved damaged-skin barrier function by SLS. Also, it was considered that the use of CER or ILM was recommended for the management of skin barrier dysfunction by irritant and inflammatory skin disorders such as atopic dermatitis.

I. Purpose In special cases of Total Body Irradiation(TBI), Half Body Irradiation(HBI), Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, E-Wing's sarcoma, lymphosarcoma and neuroblastoma a large field can be used clinically. The dose distribution of a large field can use the measurement result which gets from dose distribution of a small field (standard SSD 100cm, size of field under $40{\times}40cm2$) in the substitution which always measures in practice and it will be able to calibrate. With only the method of simple calculation, it is difficult to know the dose and its uniformity of actual body region by various factor of scatter radiation. II. Method & Materials In this study, using Multidata Water Phantom from standard SSD 100cm according to the size change of field, it measures the basic parameter (PDD,TMR,Output,Sc,Sp) From SSD 180cm (phantom is to the bottom vertically) according to increasing of a field, it measures a basic parameter. From SSD 350cm (phantom is to the surface of a wall, using small water phantom. which includes mylar capable of horizontal beam's measurement) it measured with the same method and compared with each other. III. Results & Conclusion In comparison with the standard dose data, parameter which measures between SSD 180cm and 350cm, it turned out there was little difference. The error range is not up to extent of the experimental error. In order to get the accurate data, it dose measures from anthropomorphous phantom or for this objective the dose measurement which is the possibility of getting the absolute value which uses the unlimited phantom that is devised especially is demanded. Additionally, it needs to consider ionization chamber use of small volume and stem effect of cable by a large field.
Dopants and defects can be introduced as well as the intercalation of metals into single wall carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) to modify their electronic and magnetic properties, thus significantly widening their application areas. Through spinpolarized density functional theory (DFT) calculations, we have systemically studied the following: (i) (10,0) and (5,5) SWCNT doped with nitrogen ($CN_xNT$), (ii) (10,0) and (5,5) SWCNT with pyridine-like defects (3NV-$CN_xNT$), and (iii) chemical functionalization of (10,0) and (5,5) 3NV-$CN_xNT$ with 12 different transition metals (TMs) (Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Pd, and Pt). Attention was done in searching for the most stable configurations, deformation, calculating the formation energies, and exploring the effects of the doping concentration of nitrogen and pyridine-like nitrogenated defects on the electronic properties of the nanotubes. Also, calculating the corresponding binding energies and effects of chemical functionalization of TMs on the electronic and magnetic properties of the nanotubes has been made. We found out that the electronic properties of SWCNT can be effectively modified in various ways, which are strongly dependent not only on the concentration of the adsorbed nitrogen but also to the configuration of the adsorbed nitrogen impurities, the pyridine-like nitrogenated defects, and the TMs absorbed; due to the strong interaction between the d orbitals of TMs and the p orbitals of N atoms, the binding strengths of TMs with the two 3NV-$CN_xNT$ are significantly enhanced when compared to the pure SWCNTs.

Rhodamine B (RhB) was utilized as a dye sensitizer for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) and its photovoltaic property was examined under the illumination of AM 1.5 G, $100mWcm^{-2}$. DSSCs based on RhB exhibited typical photovoltaic properties with an open-circuit voltage ($V_{OC}$) of 0.34 V, a short-circuit current ($J_{SC}$) of $1.55mA{\cdot}cm^{-2}$, a fill factor (FF) of 50%, and a conversion efficiency (PCE) of 0.26%. In order to further improve the photovoltaic properties of RhB-based DSSCs, the effect of (i) incorporating a strong electron-donating NCS unit into the RhB molecular backbone, (ii) combining a bis-negatively charged zinc complex anion ($Zn-dmit_2$, dmit=di-mercapto-dithiol-thione) with the amine cation of RhB, (iii) co-adsorbing RhB dyes with chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) molecules onto porous $TiO_2$ electrodes, was investigated and discussed.

In order to linearize the nonlinear systems, two different methods(i.e. state coordinate change and feedback) are usually used. In this paper, we consider the multi-input discrete-time nonlinear systems and obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for both the linearization problem by state-coordinate change and the feedback linearization problem. The way of finding state coordinate change and state feedback which linearize the given system is also given in the proof.

We propose an autotuning algorithm for PI controller with unknown plant. The proposed algorithm uses a saturation function and time delay element as a test signal. Since the integral element of PI controller reduces a phase margin in the closed loop system, the closed loop system could be resulted in unstable with PI controller. To avoid unstable in the closed loop system with PI controller, the proposed algorithm identifies one point information in the 3rd quadrant of Nyquist plot with a time delay element. The proposed method improves an accuracy of one point identified information with one saturation function. We demonstrate a performance of the proposed method via a simulation.
A total of 672 Cryphonectria parasitica was isolated from 2,536 blight lesions on chestnut twigs, which were collected from major chestnut plantations all over Korea. Isolation rates of each province ranged from 13.5% in Jeonbuk-ds to 37.4% in Gyeongnam-do, with an average rate of 25.6%. The isolates were classified into six groups according to color and shape of colony on PDA: smooth margin (S), irregular margin (I), yellow to brown (Y), white (W), and white with yellow center (C). Among these groups, IY was the most abundant with an isolation rate of 65%. On the other hand, SW, SC, IW, and SY were quite rare, with isolation rates ranging from 1.5% to 5.8%. When the 672 isolates were inoculated on the chestnut twigs,380 isolates (56.5%) caused lesions larger than the standard virulent isolate EPISS-2, while 158 isolates (23.4%) caused smaller lesions than the standard hypovirulent isolate UEP-1. However, 87.4% of the isolates belonged to the virulent group and only 12.6% belonged to the hypovirulent group based on Bavendamm test. In the provinces of Jeonnam-do, Jeonbuk-do, and Gyeongnamdo, which have high density of chestnut trees, the rates of hypovirulent-like isolates were over 20%.

A new neural oscillator has been designed and fabricated in an 0.5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ double poly CMOS technology. The proposed neural oscillator consists of a nonlinear variable resistor with negative resistance as well as simple transconductors and capacitors. The variable negative resistor which is used as a input stage of the oscillator consists of a positive feedback transconductors and a bump circuit with Gaussian-like I-V curve. The proposed neural oscillator has designed in integrated circuit with SPICE simulations. Simulations of a network of 4 oscillators which are connected with excitatory and inhibitory synapses demonstrate cooperative computation. Measurements of the fabricated oscillator chip with a $\pm$ 2.5 V power supply is shown and compared with the simulated results.

Methanol ($CH_3OH$) is a key species in the formation of complex organic molecules. We report the first detection of solid $CH_3OH$ in a line of sight toward the Galactic center (GC) region, based on L-band spectra taken with the Subaru telescope, aided by L'-band imaging data and moderate-resolution spectra from NASA/IRTF. It is found toward a background star, ~8000 AU in projected distance from a newly discovered massive young stellar object (YSO). This YSO also exhibits a strong $CO_2$ ice absorption band at ${\sim}15{\mu}m$ in Spitzer/IRS data, which has a prominent long-wavelength wing. It confirms that a high $CH_3OH$ abundance is responsible for the broad $15{\mu}m$$CO_2$ ice absorption towards massive YSOs in the GC. Clearly, $CH_3OH$ formation in ices is efficient in the GC region, as it is in star-forming regions in the Galactic disk. We discuss implications of our result on the astrochemical processes in the hostile GC molecular clouds.

최적화 결과 80nm ZnO, $300{\mu}m$ c-Si(p), 1nm a-Si(i), 1nm a-Si(n), $1{\mu}m$ Ag, acceptor의 도핑 농도 $7\times10^{16}cm^{-3}$ 에서 $V_{oc}$=697.7mV, $J_{sc}$=42.15mA/$cm^2$, $P_{max}$=0.0247W/$cm^2$, FF=83.51%, Eff=24.56%의 고효율을 얻을 수 있다. 본 연구를 통하여 태양전지 설계나 제조 시에 연구비를 절감할 수 있고 높은 효율의 태양전지로 접근할 수 있다.
