  • The reverse detection heteronuclear multiple quantum coherence, HMQC study of metcyano complex of horse myoglobin(MbCN) has provided the complete assignment of hyperfine shifted resonances of heme carbons attached with proton(s). The application of HMQC experiment to the paramagnetic low-spin MbCN gives clear $^1H$ and $^{13}C$ coherences for the paramagnetic amino acid residues as well as heme side chains, and can be extended to the low-spin paramagnetic hemoprotein derivative for the assignment of natural abundance $^{13}C$ resonances. This assignment strategy can avoid possible ambiguities that may result from the sole utilization of $^1H$ nuclear Overhauser effect for the assignment of heme $^1H$ signals resonating in the diamagnetic region. The resulting 2,4-vinyl ${\alpha}$-carbons and 7-propionate ${\beta}$-carbon follow anomalous anti-Curie behavior, and are indicative of incoplanarity with heme plane. Magnetic/electronic asymmetry of heme induced by proximal histidine(His) makes spread that the hyperfine shifted heme carbon resonances over the range of 250 ppm at $25^{\circ}C$. These heme carbon resonances would be the much more sensitive probe than those of proton resonances in analyzing the nature of heme electronic structure of myoglobin.

  • It's important to measure quantitative properties about thermal-nano variation conduct of polymer for producing high quality components using NIL process. NanoScale indents can be used ad cells for molecular electronics and drug deliver, slots for integration into nanodevices, and defects for tailoring the structure and properties. In this study, it's to evaluate mechanical characteristic of polymer such as PMMA and PC at high temperature for manufacture of nano/micro size of polymer using indenter at high temperature. At high temperature mechanical properties of polymer have extreme variation. Because heating the polymer, it becomes softer than room temperature. In this case it is especially important to study for mechanical properties of polymer at high temperature.

  • The heterologous expression of sodN gene from Streptomyces seoulensis in Streptomyces lividans together with the gel filtration and sedimentation equilibrim data indicated that the quaternary structure of NiSOD is homohexamer, which is novel among SODs, not the previously reported homotetramer. The EPR spectrum of $^{61}$ Ni (I = 3/2) substituted NiSOD showed a clear resolved hyperfine structure at g=2.016, unambiguously identifying that the EPR signal from NiSOD is due to Ni.(omitted)

  • M$\ddot{o}$ssbauer spectra of ferrimagnetic $Fe_2SE_8$ prepared with $^{57}Fe$ enriched iron have been taken at 298 K and below 78K, and Fe\ulcornerSe\ulcorner has been studied by X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure is found to be a "3c" hexagonal superstructure of the NiAs structure. Three sets of six-line hyperfine patterns were obtained and assigned to three magnetically nonequivalent sites of a superstructure of the crystal. The iron ions at all three sites are found to be in a highly covalent ferrous state. It is shown that the results obtained at the low temperature region are well consistent with Okazaki's "3c" superstructure model.uperstructure model.

  • $^{57}Fe_xCu_{1-x}O$(x = 0.0, 0.02) powders were prepared by sol-gel method and their crystallographic and magnetic hyperfine properties have been studied using X-ray diffraction and $M{\ddot{o}}ssbauer$ spectroscopy (MS). The crystal structure of the samples is found to be monoclinic without any secondary phases and their lattice parameters increase with increasing annealing temperature ($T_A$), which is attributed to an increase in oxygen-vacancy content. MS measurements at room temperature indicate that $Fe^{3+}$ ions substitute $Cu^{2+}$ sites and ferromagnetic phase grow with increasing $T_A$. Magnetic hyperfine and quadrupole interactions of $^{57}Fe_{0.02}Cu_{0.98}O$ ($T_A=500^{\circ}C$) in the antiferromagnetic state at 17 K have been studied, yielding the following results: $H_{hf}=426.94\;kOe$, ${\Delta}E_Q=-3.67\;mm/s$, I.S.=0.32 mm/s, ${\theta}=65^{\circ}$, ${\phi}=0^{\circ}$, and ${\eta}=0.6$.

  • The electronic and magnetic structure of Fe overlayers on W(110) is determined by means of the all-electron local spin density full potential linearized augmented plane wave (FLAPW) method with a single slab approach. Charge and spin densities, magnetic moments, contact hyperfine fields, and layer projected density of states (LDOS) are presented. For bilayer Fe coverage, we find magnetic moments to be 2.90 and 2.30 ${\mu}_B$ for the surface and subsurface Fe layers, respectively, corresponding to a 18% enhancement of the total magnetization compared with the calculated bulk value (2.22${\mu}_B$);For monolayer coverage the moment is 2.56 ${\mu}_B$ which is enhanced by 16% compared to bulk. Unusual changes in the magnetic hyperfine interaction are found in going from a monolayer to a bilayer coverage. Comparison of the results to the theoretical ones of the clean Fe(110) to discuss the hybridization and the negative pressure effects. We discuss our results by comparing them to experimental results.

  • Fe-based powders, Fe-M(M=Cr, Mn, Cu, Zn), were prepared in Ar gas by mechanical alloying and their crystallographic and magnetic properties were investigated. X-ray diffraction indicates that the cubic lattice parameter increases for the M substitution. The distance of closest approach around M can explained the increase of lattice constant in Fe-M powders. $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectroscopy measurements on Fe-M samples indicates the coexistence of ferromagnetic phases and paramagnetic phase that are created by the distribution of local environment M on Fe atom. On the other hand, The spread of line-width on $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectra can be explained by the distribution of hyperfine magnetic fields. The results of quadrupole shift and isomer shift revealed that M substitutions in Fe-M powders didn't change both structure and the local charge distribution around Fe atom severely.

  • The crystallograpic and magnetic properties of $Eu(Fe_{1-x}In_{x})O_{3}$ (x=0, 0.03과 0.05) have been studied by the methods of X-ray diffraction, $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectroscopy, and magnetic hysteresis measurement at room temperature. The X-ray results show that the samples have a crystal structure of orthorhombic and unit cell volume of the crystal with the exception of the sample of x=0 increases as increasing the In concentration. In the analysis assuming two sets of six-line of $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectra, it is found that the magnetic hyperfine field in each of sets decreases increasing x. The linewidth of the absorption lines for the samples increased as increasing x. This implies that the data involve a sum of several hyperfine patterns which have intensity being proportional to $_{n}P_{z}(x)$, the probability of an environment with z such Fe neighbors. The magnetic hysteresis curves show decrease of $M_{s}$ and increase of $H_{c}$ of the samples with increasing x.

  • $Ni_{0.65}Zn_{0.35}Cu_{0.1}Fe{1.9}O_4$ has been studied with Mossbauer spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. The crystal structure is found to be a cubic spinel with the lattice constant $a_0=8.390{\AA}$. Mossbauer spectra of $Ni_{0.65}Zn_{0.35}Cu_{0.1}Fe{1.9}O_4$ has been taken at various temperatures ranging from 12 K to 705 K. The isomer shift indicates that iron ions are ferric at tetrahedral [A] and octahedral sites [B], respectively. The Neel temperature is determined to be $T_N=705\;K$. As the temperature increases toward $T_N$ a systematic line broadening effect in the Mossbauer spectrum is observed and interpreted to originate from different temperature dependencies of the magnetic hyperfine fields at various iron sites. The quadrupole splitting just on $T_N$ is 0.41 mm/s whereas the quadrupole shift below $T_N$ vanishes. This implies that the orientation of the magnetic hyperfine field with respect to be principal axes of the electric field gradient is random.

  • The mixed ferrite $Ni_{x}Co_{1-x}Fe_{2}O_{4}$ have been investigated by X-ray and $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectoscpy. From the results of X-ray diffraction measurement the structure for this system is spinel, and the lattice constant is in accord with Vegard's law. $M\"{o}ssbauer$ spectra of $Ni_{x}Co_{1-x}Fe_{2}O_{4}$ have been taken at various temperature ranging from 13 to 800 K. The isomer shifts indicate that the valence states of the irons at both A(tetrahedral) and B(octahedral) sithe are found to be in ferric high-spin states. The variation of magnetic hyperfine fields at the A and B sites are explained on the basis on A-B and B-B supertransferred hyperfine interactions. It is found that Debye temperatures for the A and B sites of $CoFe_{2}O_{4}$ and $NiFe_{2}O_{4}$ are found to be ${\theta}_{A}=734{\pm}5K,\;{\theta}_{B}=248{\pm}5K,\;and\;{\theta}_{A}=378{\pm}5K,\;{\theta}_{B}=357{\pm}5K$, respectively. Atomic migration of $Ni_{0.3}Co_{0.7}Fe_{2}O_{4}$ starts near 450 K and increases rapidly with increasing temperature to such a degree that 61 % of the ferric ions at the A site have moved over to the B site by 700 K.
