부산.경남 일부지역 치과위생사들의 일반적 특성과 방사선 안전관리 특성이 방사선 안전관리 실천에 미치는 영향 (Influences on Radiation Safety Management Practice of General Characteristics and Radiation Safety Management Practice for Dental Hygienists in Busan and Gyeongnam Province)

  • 본 연구는 2012년 7월 2일부터 2012년 8월 30일까지 현재 부산 경남지역에 근무하고 있는 치과위생사 220명을 설문 조사하였다. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 현주소를 파악하고, 방사선 안전관리 실천에 미치는 영향을 조사하여 올바른 방사선 안전관리 지식을 제공하고자 한다. 나아가 방사선 안전관리 태도와 습관화가 이루어질 수 있는 프로그램의 개발에 기초자료에 활용하고자 한다. 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 교육(p<0.01), 방어도구 착용(p<0.01) 여부는 긍정적인 응답을 한 자가 부정적인 응답을 한 자보다 조사대상자와 안전관리 특성에 따른 방사선안전관리에 대한 지식 정도가 높게 나타나 유의한 결과가 나타났다. 2. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 교육(p<0.001), 방어도구 착용(p<0.01) 여부는 긍정적인 응답을 한 자가 부정적인 응답을 한 자보다 조사대상자와 안전관리 특성에 따른 방사선안전관리에 대한 태도 정도가 높게 나타나 유의한 차이를 보였다. 3. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 교육(p<0.001), TLD 착용(p<0.01), 방어도구 착용 여부(p<0.001)는 긍정적인 응답을 한 자가 부정적인 응답을 한 자보다 조사대상자와 안전관리 특성에 따른 방사선 안전관리에 대한 실천 정도가 높게 나타나 유의한 차이를 보였다. 4. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 교육의 유무는 긍정적인 응답을 한 자가 부정적인 응답을 한 자보다 조사대상자와 안전관리 특성에 따른 방사선 촬영 시 건강염려 정도가 높게 나타나 유의한 차이를 보였다(p<0.001). 5. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 지식은 태도(r=0.252, p<0.01), 실천(r=0.200, p<0.01)과 정적 상관을 가지고 있었으며, 방사선 안전관리에 대한 태도는 실천(r=0.446, p<0.01), 촬영 시 건강염려(r=0.181, p<0.01)와 정적 상관을 가지고 있었다. 방사선 안전관리에 대한 실천은 촬영 시 건강염려와 정적 상관(r=0.280, p<0.01)을 가지고 있었다. 6. 방사선 안전관리실천을 종속변수로 하고 지식, 태도, 촬영 시 건강염려를 독립변수로 하여 분석한 결과 방사선안전관리실천에 영향을 주는 요인은 태도, 촬영 시 건강염려 순으로 나타났다(p<0.05).

교사의 구강보건교육 실천과 자기효능감이 구강보건교육 태도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Oral Health Education Practice and Self-efficacy of Teacher on Oral Health Attitude)

  • 본 연구는 교사의 구강보건교육 실천과 자기효능감이 구강보건에 대한 인식에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 주요 관련 변인인 지식, 태도, 자기효능감, 실천의 관계에 대한 몇 가지 인과모형을 설정하였다. 서울시에 있는 특수학교 교사 376명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 217명의 응답자 가운데 198명을 대상으로 t-검정, 일원배치분산분석, 상관분석, 경로분석을 하였다. 1. 교사의 성별, 연령, 경력에 따라 교사의 구강보건지식, 구강보건교육 교육에 대한 자기효능감, 구강보건교육에 대한 태도 수준을 비교한 결과, 교사의 성별에 따른 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았으나, 교사의 연령에 따라 구강보건교육에 대한 자기효능감(p = 0.001)과 태도(p = 0.013)에 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 또한 교사의 경력에 따라 구강보건지식, 구강보건교육에 대한 자기효능감과 태도는 유의한 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 2. 교사의 구강보건지식, 구강보건교육에 대한 태도, 자기효능감, 구강보건교육 실천에 대한 상관관계를 분석하였다. 구강보건교육 태도, 자기효능감, 실천 사이에는 통계적으로 유의한 정(+)의 상관관계가 나타났으나, 교사의 구강보건 지식와 실천 사이에는 유의한 상관관계가 나타나지 않았다. 3. 교사의 구강보건 지식이 직접적으로 교사의 구강보건교육 실천에 직접적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 교사의 구강보건교육에 대한 태도의 매개에 의해 교사의 구강보건교육 실천에 영향을 미치는 부분매개 모형(모형1)의 검증 결과, 지식과 태도 사이의 경로(Estimate=0.183, C.R.=0.294, p=0.003)와 태도와 실천 사이의 경로(Estimate=0.398, C.R. =3.090, p=0.002)는 통계적으로 유의하였으나, 지식과 실천 사이의 경로는 유의하지 않았다. 이 경로를 제외한 지식, 태도, 실천 사이의 완전매개 모형(모형1-1)은 모든 적합도 지수의 기준을 총족하였으나($x^2$=0.081, df=1, p=0.776, GFI=1.000, AGFI=0.998, NNFI= 1.178, NFI=0.996, CFI=1.000), 실천의 분산은 지식과 태도에 의해 충분히 설명되지 않았다(SMC=0.05). 4. 교사의 구강보건교육 실천이 구강보건교육에 대한 태도에 직접적인 정(+)의 영향을 미치며, 구강보건교육에 대한 자기효능감의 매개에 의해 교사의 구강보건교육 태도의 매개에 의해 영향을 미치는 부분매개 모형(모형2)의 검증 결과, 실천과 태도 사이의 경로(Estimate=0.273, C.R.=5.734, p<0.001)와 교사효능감과 태도 사이의 경로(Estimate=0.242, C.R.=4.426, p<0.001)는 통계적으로 유의하였으나, 실천과 태도 사이의 경로는 유의하지 않았다. 이 경로를 제외한 실천, 교사효능감, 태도 사이의 완전매개 모형(모형2-1)은 모든 적합도 기준을 충족하였으나($x^2$=2.081, df=1, p=0.149, GFI=0.993, AGFI=0.958, RMSEA=0.074, NNFI=0,942, NFI=0.965, CFI=0.981), 태도의 분산은 실천과 교사효능감에 의해 충분히 설명되지 않았다(0.136). 5. 지식태도실천 모형(모형2-1)에 교사의 구강보건교육에 대한 자기효능감을 매개변인으로 추가한 지식태도 자기효능감실천 모형(모형3)은 적합하게 나타났으며 ($x^2$=3.971, d.f.=3, p=0.271, RMSEA=0.039, GFI=0.990, AGFI=0.967, NNFI=0.971, NFI=0.944, CFI=0.986), 실천의 분산 중 14.3%가 지식, 태도, 자기효능감에 의해 설명되었다.

환자의 치위생학적 지식 및 실천 정도가 구강건강영향지수(OHIP)에 미치는 영향 (The Impact of Oral Health Impact profile(OHIP) Level on Degree of Patients' Knowledge about Dental Hygiene)

  • 이 연구는 환자의 치위생학적 지식 및 실천 정도가 구강건강과 관련된 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 측정하고자 평가도구중 하나인 구강건강영향지수(OHIP)를 사용하여 평가하였다. 그 결과 예방적인 지식이나 일상에서 매일 사용하는 구강용품지식 및 사용방법 지식이 높아야 주관적으로 느끼는 삶의 질이 높게 나타났다. 그리고 진료 형태별 지식과 같이 경험으로 습득한 지식은 높을수록 주관적으로 느끼는 삶의 질이 낮게 나타났다. 반면 심미치료중의 하나인 미백치료지식은 높을수록 주관적으로 느끼는 삶의 질이 높게 나타났다. 즉 예방적이고 심미적인 지식이 구강 건강영향지수에 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석된다.

구강보건교육이 학령전기 아동의 구강보건지식과 구강위생상태에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Dental Health Education on Dental Health Knowledge and Dental Hygiene Status in Preschoolers)

  • Purpose: This quasi-experimental study was conducted to identify the effects of dental health education on dental health knowledge and dental hygiene status in preschoolers. Methods: Forty-one children were recruited from two daycare centers, one of which served as the experimental group and the other as the comparative group without dental health education. Dental health education consisted of knowledge-oriented lecture and individual practice with a tooth simulator. The dental health knowledge was measured using a self-report questionnaire and dental hygiene using a dental plague index. The measurements were taken before and after the education program in the experimental group while only before the education program in comparative group. Results: Increases in dental health know ledge and decreases in dental plague index were observed 4 days after the education and lasted at least 8 days after the education, Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that dental health care education consisting of a lecture with simulation practice can be effective in improving dental health care in preschoolers at day care center.

치과위생사의 금연교육에 대한 지식, 태도 및 요구도 조사 (A survey on knowledge, attitudes and needs of smoking cessation education in the dental hygienists)

  • Objectives: The purpose of the study is to investigate the knowledge, attitudes, and needs of smoking cessation education in the dental hygienists. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 262 dental hygienists in Seoul and Gyeonggido from September 25 to December 31, 2015. Except incomplete answers, 250 data were analyzed using Stata 13.0 program. The questionnaire was adapted and modified from Kim and Yoon and was measured by Likert 3 or 5 point scale. The questionnaire consisted of general characteristics of the subjects(6 items), smoking cessation education characteristics of the subjects(4 items), knowledge of smoking cessation education (11 items), attitudes of smoking cessation education(9 items), and needs of smoking cessation education(11 items). Results: Those who said yes in smoking cessation education had higher scores in knowledge (p=0.001), attitudes (p<0.001) and needs of education (p=0.010). Those receiving smoking cessation education higher score in knowledge of smoking cessation education (p=0.017). The dental hygienists working in clinics that practice smoking cessation therapy program tended to have higher level of attitudes toward smoking cessation(p=0.030). The average scores for 11 items to assess knowledge of smoking cessation education and another 11 items to assess the need for smoking cessation education were $2.18{\pm}0.40$ out of 3 and $4.62{\pm}0.49$ out of 5, respectively. Conclusions: The smoking cessation education is very important to improve the knowledge, attitudes, and need of smoking cessation in the dental hygienists.

중학생의 식중독 예방에 대한 인식도와 개인 위생 실천 (Perception of Foodborne Illness Prevention and Personal Hygiene Practice)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate middle school students` perceptions on foodborne illness prevention in relation to their personal hygiene practices. The survey was administered in July, 2007 at one middle school, with a total of 390 students participating. The self-completed questionnaire consisted of several questions regarding the students` awareness of foodborne illness, perceptions of foodborne illness prevention, and personal hygiene practices. T-tests were used to identify the differences in their perceptions of foodborne illness prevention based on gender and Chi square tests were used to identify the relationships between their perceptions of foodborne illness prevention and personal hygiene practices. Eight percent of the respondents experienced foodborne illness at least once a year and 33.8% of them have stopped eating certain foods due to anxiety towards foodborne illness. The students perceived school foods (26.0%) and street foods(17.9%) as the main sources of foodborne illness, and dairy products(20.0%) and fresh fish (19.7%) were considered foods having the greatest potential for causing foodborne illness. Many students were aware of Escherichia coli O157(43.1%) and Hepatitis A(23.3%), but only a few recognized Clostridium botulinum(4.1%) and Salmonella(7.9%), even though these are major foodborne illness-causing pathogens. The students considered foodborne illness prevention very important(mean = 4.33); also, the results showed that many washed their hands 3-4 times (34.1%) and 5-6 times(29.2%) per day. Hand washing frequency was significantly related to the perceived importance of personal hygiene practice as well as to education on safety and sanitation. However, the students` perception on the importance of personal hygiene practices were not significantly different based on having received safety and sanitation education. Ultimately, these results will be used to develop guidelines for effective education on safety and sanitation.

일부 치과위생사의 응급처치 지식, 수행자신감과 대처능력과의 관계 (The Relation between the Problem Solving Ability and Satisfaction on Clinical Practice of Dental Hygiene Students)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the knowledge, confidence and coping ability about emergency treatment, and the impact of right knowledge and confidence in practice on coping ability in part of dental hygienists. In addition, we suggest emergency treatment knowledge for develop substantive education program applicable to clinical as required data. Methods: This subjects were 259 dental hygienists working in dental setting Seoul, Gyeonggi-do from June 5 to July 20, 2016. We analyzed the data with frequency analysis, descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson correlation coefficient, regression analysis by using SPSS. Results: Emergencies experienced by a dental hygienist in dental practice were fainting, local anesthetic allergies, and seizures. As a result of comparing the first aid knowledge, self-confidence, coping ability according to general characteristics of the study subjects, university graduation was higher than college and 3~5 years of working experience showed higher self confidence(F=3.837, p=0.023). The performance of self confidence and coping ability according to the characteristics of first aid showed high results in first aid training and dental hygienist having CPR license. Based on multiple regression analysis, confidence about emergency treatment is the biggest impact on coping ability(p<0.05). Conclusions: Dental hygienists need to develop and provide programs that can improve the ability of dental hygienists to respond appropriately and promptly in case of emergencies by recognizing the importance of first aid through conservative education.

노인종합복지관 급식업무 종사자들의 위생지식 및 수행 평가 (Evaluation of Foodservice Workers' Food Safety Knowledge and Practices at Senior Welfare Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate food safety practices and knowledge of foodservice workers at senior welfare centers. A self-administrated questionnaire was administered to 1200 foodservice workers at senior welfare centers in Seoul, Incheon and Gyeonggi province. Two hundred five responses were returned, with 181 usable for analysis. Statistical analyses were conducted using SPSS for Windows(ver.14.0). Volunteers of respondents comprised 64.1% while chefs and employees comprised 20.9%. Food safety practices were assessed using a 5-point scale(1: strongly disagree - 5: strongly agree), and the average score of food safety practices was 4.27. For specific practices, 'personal hygiene (4.46)' scored the highest, followed by 'cleaning and sanitizing(4.43)', 'separate handing(4.40)', 'cooking process(4.11)', and 'receiving and storing(4.05)'. There were significant differences in the practice average score by age(p<0.01) and experience of food safety education(p<0.01). The total score for food safety knowledge was 14.43 out of 20 points. In the category of food knowledge, 'equipment and facility(80.5%)' had the highest correct answer rate, followed by 'personnel hygiene(75.9%)', 'cooking process(70.4%)', and 'cleaning sanitizing(65.8%)'. There were significant differences in the knowledge total score by job type(p<0.05), age(p<0.05), working experience(p<0.05), chef certification (p<0.01), and frequency of food safety education(p<0.01). The knowledge and practice scores were significantly correlated(p<0.01). This study suggests that food safety education for foodservice workers should be conducted continuously and repetitively, and the development of proper education materials is needed to improve the effectiveness of food safety education for chefs, employees and volunteers at senior welfare centers.

완전학습모델기반 간호 미생물학 이론 및 실습프로그램의 개발과 효과평가 (The Development and Evaluation of a Clinical Practice Nursing Students' Microbiology Program Based on the Mastery Learning Model)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a clinical practice nursing students' microbiology program based on the mastery learning model, and to evaluate the effects of the program on nursing students' knowledge, self-efficacy, performance, and satisfaction related to the nursing students' microbiology program. Methods: The program was developed by using the processes of the mastery learning model. The pre-experimental research design involved a one group pretest-posttest design. The setting was a university located in Incheon, Korea. A total of 130 nursing students participated in the program including a theoretical lecture, clinical practice, and formative and summative evaluation. Results: Using the program that was designed and developed, results for the total score of self-efficacy, knowledge, and performance in the post-test application were significantly higher than in the pre-test application (p<.05). The satisfaction of hand hygiene and disinfection/contaminated hand microbial culture and disinfection test received the highest ratings. Conclusion: The application of a clinical practice nursing students' microbiology program was effective, and can be expanded to other nursing students. Future research with other study designs was warranted in order to prove the effect of a microbiology program based on the mastery learning model.

치과위생사의 의료관련법에 대한 지식 및 태도에 관한 연구 (A study on dental hygienists' knowledge and attitude towards medical related laws)

  • Objectives: This study was performed to provide a reference base to establish foundation for education about dental hygienist-related medical law and introduction of the system. Methods: A survey was conducted on 210 dental hygienists working at a dental clinic/ hospital in Jeollado. Data were analysed through chi-square test, one-way ANOVA, independent t-test, and Pearson's correlation analysis using SPSS 21.0 program. The study instruments included general characteristics of the subjects, knowledge on laws related to dental hygiene, attitude towards dental hygienist-related medical laws, level of understanding of medical related laws, and medical dispute educational hours. Results: The knowledge of dental hygienist-related medical law was high in dental hygienists aged 25 years and younger and with less than 3 years of clinical experience (p<0.05). The attitude towards the law was low in age of younger than 25 years, a three year college degree, a job position as a staff member, more than 5 years of work experience at present work place, and less than 3 years of clinical experience (p<0.05). Understanding of medical related laws was high in clinical staff members and with less than 3 years of clinical experience (p<0.05). Educational needs for medical dispute prevention was high in a job position as a staff member, low level of attitude towards dental hygienist-related medical law, and no attainment of education on medical dispute (p<0.05). Conclusions: The above results demonstrate that education and public relations about laws related with dental hygiene practice are essential. It is imperative to establish a systematic and bureaucratic legal system to prevent dental malpractice.
