휴대용 파워팩을 위한 소형 세라믹 리니어 엔진 설계 및 동적 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Design and Dynamic Characteristics of Compact Linear Engine for Porable Powerpack)

  • Current rechargeable battery cannot provide high energy density and the operational durations required. But linear engine/generators provide high energy density for portable power applications because fuel is more high density. In this paper, we suggest that basic design of powerpack using linear engine for assisting power output. Efficiency is relatively high because linear engine don't have crank mechanism compared with rotary engine. We made prototype engine and had experiments to know moving characteristic about the Linear Engine. It was possible to operate velocity at 50 Hz at the firing and pressure in cylinder was 16bar.

  • The current energy supply system is burdened by environmental and supply problems. The concept of a hydrogen economy has been actively discussed worldwide. KAERI has set up a plan to demonstrate massive production of hydrogen using a VHTR by the early 2020s. The technological gap to meet this goal was identified during the past few years. The hydrogen production process, a process heat exchanger, the efficiency of an I/S thermochemical cycle, the manufacturing of components, the analysis tools of VHTR, and a coated particle fuel are key areas that require urgent development. Candidate NHDD plant designs based on a 200 MWth VHTR core and I/S thermochemical process have been studied and some of analysis results are presented in this paper.

  • 수소에너지는 풍부한 자원으로부터 얻을 수 있는 2차 청정에너지로서 연소 및 반응 생성물이 환경을 오염시키지 않을 뿐만 아니라 에너지의 수송 및 저장이 용이한 화학적 매체이다. 물의 전기분해를 이용한 수소제조는 오염을 유발시기지 않으면서도 영구적인 재생에너지 시스템으로 이용할 수 있다. 고온 수증기전해의 핵심기술은 분해된 산소 또는 프로톤 이온이 전해질을 통해 신속하게 전달될 수 있는 전해질의 개발이 제1 핵심요건이며, 이어서 전류효율에 큰 영향을 미치는 전해질막과 전극재료의 접합기술의 확보가 중요한 핵심 요소기술이다.

  • Global warming and air pollution have increased the amount $CO_2$ in the atmosphere. In order to decrease the amount of $CO_2$, lots of researches are conducted toward using Hydrogen energy. Because of its high efficiency energy level and environmental friendly features, many companies have researched on developing hydrogen engine system and distributed generation system. Especially, the focus of this research provides the operation method of linear generator for hydrogen fuel combustion linear engine. During an ignition, linear generator is operated by motor to create the initial condition of engine combustion. Once the engine combustion is stabilized, the generator supplies electric power to grid. In order to stabilize the engine, linear generator is required to control mover frequency, direction, and force; Hence the PCS(Power Conversion System) place three H-bridge type inverter stacks in parallel to control phase current independently. As well, by using Back-to-Back method, it can receive electric power from both end.

  • 과산화수소의 발생은 일반적으로 유기 산화제를 포함한 산업적 프로세스의 넓은 분야에 응용된다. 과산화수소는 펄프와 제지 공업의 기계적, 화학적 처리를 위하여 사용되고 염소를 기초로 둔 화학제품에 알칼리 처리로 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 Nafiom과 러시아 양이온 교환막인 MK-40, 제조된 SPEEK막을 가스확산전극이 포함된 과산화수소 발생용 전해 셀에서 비교 실험한다. 다른 양성자 교환막에 효과에 따른 과산화수소 발생의 전기화학적 셀의 전압과 전류 효율, 에너지 소모를 연구한다.

Exergy and exergoeconomic analysis of hydrogen and power cogeneration using an HTR plant

  • This paper proposes using sodium-cooled fast reactor technologies for use in hydrogen vapor methane (SMR) modification. Using three independent energy rings in the Russian BN-600 fast reactor, steam is generated in one of the steam-generating cycles with a pressure of 13.1 MPa and a temperature of 505 ℃. The reactor's second energy cycles can increase the gas-steam mixture's temperature to the required amount for efficient correction. The 620 ton/hr 540 ℃ steam generated in this cycle is sufficient to supply a high-temperature synthesis current source (700 ℃), which raises the steam-gas mixture's temperature in the reactor. The proposed technology provides a high rate of hydrogen production (approximately 144.5 ton/hr of standard H2), also up to 25% of the original natural gas, in line with existing SMR technology for preparing and heating steam and gas mixtures will be saved. Also, exergy analysis results show that the plant's efficiency reaches 78.5% using HTR heat for combined hydrogen and power generation.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스마트시티 구축의 핵심인 수소연료전지의 활용형태를 분석하고 해결방안을 제시하는 것이다. 수소연료전지를 활용하는 발전소의 경우 간헐성 문제가 없다는 장점 때문에 향후 가장 유망한 사용 형태로 분석됐다. 다만 많은 장점에도 불구하고 폭발 우려와 특정 수소 생산방식의 경우 이산화탄소 발생 문제 등으로 지역주민들의 반발이 지속적으로 나타나고 있어 이를 해결하는 것이 스마트시티 구축의 주요 관건이 될 것으로 분석된다. 마지막으로 현재의 수소 생산방식을 분석하고 이에 따른 문제점을 파악하여 스마트시티의 완전한 구축을 위한 해결책을 제시하였다.

수소-천연가스엔진에서 밸브오버랩 감소가 배기특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Reduced Valve Overlap on Emission Characteristics of Hydrogen-Compressed Natural Gas Engine)

  • 현행 배기가스규제인 유로6을 대응하기 위해선 질소산화물과 메탄의 배출량을 크게 저감시켜야 하는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 부분부하운전조건에서 밸브오버랩 감소가 수소-천연가스엔진의 연소 및 배기특성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 각 연료와 기존캠 및 밸브오버랩이 감소된 변경캠에 대하여 연소 및 배기특성을 분석하였다. 실험결과 변경캠을 사용하였을 때 열효율이 감소하고 연료유량이 증가하였다. 열효율 감소로 인하여 메탄과 이산화탄소의 배출량은 증가하였다. 희박한 운전조건에서 질소산화물 배출량은 기존캠 대비 감소하였다. 동일한 연료 및 운전조건에서는 효율과 배기특성에 악영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다.

알칼라인 수전해용 Ni-Fe 합금 전착 전극의 특성 (Characterization of Ni-Fe Alloy Electrodeposited Electrode for Alkaline Water Electrolysis)

  • Alkaline water electrolysis is commercial hydrogen production technology. It is possible to operate MW scale plant. Because It used non-precious metal for electrode. But It has relatively low current density and low efficiency. In this study, research objective is development of anode for alkaline water electrolysis with low cost, high corrosion resistance and high efficiency. Stainless steel 316L (SUS 316L) was selected for a substrate of electrode. To improve corrosion resistance of substrate, Nickel (Ni) layer was electrodeposited on SUS 316L. Ni-Fe alloy was electrodeposited on the passivated Ni layer as active catalyst for oxygen evolution reaction(OER). We optimized preparation condition of Ni-Fe alloy electrodeposition by changing current density, electrodeposition time and composition ratio of Ni-Fe electrodeposition bath. This electrodes were electrochemically evaluated by using Linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and Cyclic voltammetry (CV). The Ni-Fe alloy (Ni : Fe = 1 : 1) showed best activity of OER. The optimized electrode decreased overpotential about 40% at $100mA/cm^2$ compared with Ni anode.

염료 감응형 태양전지에서 시간의 경과에 따른 셀의 특성 저하 연구 (Time Dependent Degradation of Cell in Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell)

  • We report on the time dependent degradation of cell in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSC). The photovoltaic performance of DSSC over a period of time was investigated in liquid electrolyte based on triiodide/iodide during six days. It was found that the short circuit current density ($j_{sc}$) of the cell dropped from 9.9 to $7mA/cm^2$ while efficiency (${\eta}$) of the cell decreased from 4.4 to 3.3%. The parameters corresponding to fundamental electronic and ionic processes in a working DSSC are determined from the electrochemical impedance spectrascopy (EIS) at open-circuit potential ($V_{oc}$). EIS study of the DSSC in the this work showed that the electron life time ${\tau}_r$ and chemical capacitance $C_{\mu}$ decreased significantly after six days. It was correlated the $j_{sc}$ and efficiency decreased after six days.
