다중표적 뼈 전이암의 하이브리드 세기변조(modified hybrid-VMAT) 방사선치료계획 유용성 평가 (Evaluation of the Modified Hybrid-VMAT for multiple bone metastatic cancer)

  • 목 적 : 동일 선상축(co-axial image)의 다발성 뼈 전이암에 대한 하이브리드 세기변조(modified hybrid-VMAT) 계획의 유용성을 평가하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 동일 선상축의 다발성 뼈 전이암환자 총 5명을 대상으로 치료계획시스템(Ray station, 5.0.2.35, Sweden)을 이용하여 치료계획을 수립하였다. 치료계획용적(planning target volume, PTV) 처방 선량은 30 Gy로 설정하여 총 3가지 치료계획: 용적변조회전치료계획(volumetric modulated arc therapy, VMAT); 배경방사선(background)을 고려하지 않은 하이브리드 용적변조회전치료계획(hybrid VMAT, VMAT(h)); 배경방사선을 고려한 하이브리드 용적변조회전치료계획(modified hybrid VMAT, VMAT(mh))을 비교하였다. 선량용적히스토그램(dose volume histogram, DVH)을 이용하여 PTV의 maximum dose($D_{max}$), mean dose($D_{mean}$), 처방선량지수(conformity index, CI), 선량균질지수(homogeneity Index, HI) 및 손상위험장기(organ at risk, OAR)의 선량을 분석하였다. 또한 monitor unit(MU)와 치료시간(beam on time)을 분석하였다. 결 과 : VMAT, VMAT(h)과 VMAT(mh)의 PTV $D_{max}$는 3188.33 cGy, 3526 cGy, 3285.67 cGy이고, $D_{mean}$은 3081 cGy, 3252 cGy, 3094 cGy이고, CI는 $1.35{\pm}0.19$, $1.43{\pm}0.12$, $1.30{\pm}0.06$이고, HI는 $1.06{\pm}0.01$, $1.14{\pm}0.06$, $1.09{\pm}0.02$로 평가되었다. VMAT(h)과 VMAT(mh)의 OAR은 3 % 증가와 18 % 감소하는 것으로 평가되었다. 추가적으로 평균 MU는 904.90, 911.73, 1202.13 그리고 평균 Beam on time은 $128.67{\pm}10.97$초, $167.33{\pm}7.57$초, $190.33{\pm}4.51$초 소요되었다. 결 론 : 다중표적 치료 시에는 modified Hybrid-VMAT를 적용하면 선량의 겹침이 보정되어 과선량(over dose) 조사되는 것을 방지하는 다중표적을 치료할 수 있다. 그리고 PTV의 선량포함을 만족하면서 주위의 정상장기를 더 효과적으로 보호할 수 있는 치료계획이 가능하다. 또한 modified Hybrid-VMAT의 임상적 효능을 확인하기 위해 많은 수의 환자를 대상으로 한 장기 추적 관찰이 필요하다.

Frequency Control of in Hybrid Wind Power System using Flywheel Energy Storage System

  • In this paper, a design problem of the flywheel energy storage system controller using genetic algorithm (GA) is investigated for a frequency control of the wind diesel hybrid power generation system in an isolated power system. In order to select parameters of the FESS controller, two performance indexes are used. We evaluated a frequency control effect for the wind diesel hybrid power system according to change of the weighted values of a performance index. To verify performance of the FESS controller according to the weighted value of the performance index, the frequency domain analysis using a singular value bode diagram and the dynamic simulations for various weighted values of performance index were performed. To verify control performance of the designed FESS controller, the eigenvalue analysis and the dynamic simulations were performed. The control characteristics with the two designed FESS controller were compared with that of the conventional pitch controller. The simulation results showed that the FESS controller provided better dynamic responses in comparison with the conventional controller.

A Hybrid Prefix Cashing Scheme for Efficient IP Address Lookup

  • We propose a hybrid prefix caching scheme to enable high speed IP address lookup. All prefixes loaded in a prefix cache should not be overlapped in address range for correct IP lookup. So, every non-leaf prefix needs to be expanded not so as to be overlapped. The shorter expanded prefix is more preferable because it can cover wider address range just as an single entry in a prefix cache. We exploits advantages of two dynamic prefix expansion techniques, bounded prefix expansion technique and bitmap-based prefix expansion technique. The proposed scheme uses dual bound values whereas just one bound value is used in bounded prefix expansion. Our elaborated technique make the dual bound values be associated with several subtries flexibly using bitmap information, rather than with fixed subtries. We evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of the average length of the expanded prefixes and cache miss ratio. The experiment results show the proposed scheme has lower cache miss ratio than other previous schemes including both bounded prefix expansion and bitmap-based expansion irrespective of the cache size.

치과용 CAD/CAM 전용 세라믹기반 하이브리드 레진 수복물의 변연 적합 연구 (A study on marginal fit of the ceramic-based hybrid resin restoration for dental CAD/CAM systems)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to assess and compare the marginal fit of ceramic-based hybrid resin restoration (HYB) and zirconia restoration (ZIR) for dental computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing systems. Methods: A stainless steel master model was produced. The impression was first made with silicone, and then stone working models were produced. A total of twenty restorations were fabricated with two different materials: ZIR and HYB. The silicone film thickness of the marginal gap was measured using a digital microscope; digital photos were taken at a magnification of ×160, and then analyzed using a measurement software. The values of the result were evaluated with the independent-sample t-test (α=0.05). All statistical analyses were performed with a statistical software. Results: The mean values for the marginal gap was 37.14±2.96 ㎛ for HYB, compared with 40.37±5.26 ㎛ for ZIR. No significant difference was found between ZIR and HYB (p=0.107). Conclusion: As a result, the marginal fit of the restoration fabricated using the hybrid resin was better than that of the restoration fabricated using zirconia. Also, the marginal fit of all groups was below the clinical acceptable range of 120 ㎛. Thus, HYB for dental CAD/CAM system in this study is expected to be suitable for clinical use in dentistry.

Dynamic Data Migration in Hybrid Main Memories for In-Memory Big Data Storage

  • For memory-based big data storage, using hybrid memories consisting of both dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) and non-volatile random-access memories (NVRAMs) is a promising approach. DRAM supports low access time but consumes much energy, whereas NVRAMs have high access time but do not need energy to retain data. In this paper, we propose a new data migration method that can dynamically move data pages into the most appropriate memories to exploit their strengths and alleviate their weaknesses. We predict the access frequency values of the data pages and then measure comprehensively the gains and costs of each placement choice based on these predicted values. Next, we compute the potential benefits of all choices for each candidate page to make page migration decisions. Extensive experiments show that our method improves over the existing ones the access response time by as much as a factor of four, with similar rates of energy consumption.

Al 6061-T6 합금의 해수 내 캐비테이션 진폭에 따른 캐비테이션-침식 조건하에서 전기화학적 특성 (Electrochemical Characteristics with Cavitation Amplitude Under Cavitation Erosion of 6061-T6 in Seawater)

  • Generally, Al alloys of 5000 and 6000 series show excellent weldability, workability, and specific strength, and are widely used in ship building. A combined experiment via cavitation erosion and corrosion damage involving 6061-T6 Al alloy was performed using potentiodynamic polarization under cavitation erosion (hybrid experiments) with amplitude (cavitation strength). The corrosion current density was approximately 52-fold higher at 30 μm than under static conditions, suggesting that the amplitude greatly affected the damage. The degree of damage increased with increasing cavitation amplitude. After the hybrid experiment, the corrosion rate was compared according to the weight loss and damage depth, and the relationship between the two values was expressed as alpha value. The alpha (α) values at amplitudes of 5 μm, 10 μm and 30 μm were 5.11, 12.81 and 8.74, respectively, suggesting that the α value at 10 μm was greater than at 5 μm, and indicating local corrosion damage. However, the α value at 30 μm was smaller than that of 10 μm, which is attributed to higher damage via uniform corrosion than damage induced by local corrosion.

PP/Tencel/흡한속건PET/하이브리드 복합사 구조가 고감성 의류용 직물의 물성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Hybrid Yarn Structure Composed of PP/Tencel/Quick dry PET on the Physical Property of Fabric for High Emotional Garment)

  • This paper investigated the characteristics of the physical properties of woven fabrics according to the yarn structure and fibre property. It was found that wicking property of woven fabrics made of sheath/core hybrid yarn were better than those of siro spun and siro-fil hybrid yarns, which was caused by platform for transport of moisture vapor by filaments on the core part of sheath core hybrid yarns. In drying property, the fabric specimen woven by PP/Tencel sheath core hybrid yarns as a warp and Coolmax/Tencel spun yarn as a weft showed quick drying property, which was caused by the sheath core hybrid yarn structure as drainage of water moisture and coolmax fibre characteristics as quick dry material. Concerning to breathability and thermal conductivity as heat transport phenomena, it was observed that breathability of fabrics woven with hybrid yarns such as sheath core and siro-fil in the warp and hi-multi filaments in the weft showed the lowest water vapor resistance, which was explained as due to for air gap in the fibres of the spun yarns to restrict the wet heat transport from perspiration vapor. Thermal conductivities of the fabrics woven with PET/Tencel siro-fil yarns in the weft and hybrid yarns such as sheath core and siro-fil in the warp revealed the highest values, which was observed as due to higher thermal conductivity of PET than PP and more contact point between fibres in the siro-fil and sheath core hybrid yarns.

Various Characteristics of Hybrid between River Puffer, Takifugu obscurus and Tiger Puffer, T. rubripes, and Their Hybrid Triploid

  • A comparison of the growth, hematological values, fatty acids, and gonadal and growth hormonal changes of river puffer, Takifugu obscurus, tiger puffer, T. rubripes, their hybrids (river puffer ${\times}$ tiger puffer) and hybrid triploids was performed during 3 months of their early growth period. Several features were observed during these 3 months: hybrids showed the highest levels of specific growth rate, 1.48%; hybrid triploids showed the smallest change in viscera fat (P<0.05), but GSI was not significantly different among groups (P>0.05). Considering hematological parameters, hybrid triploids had increased mean corpuscular volume and mean corpuscular hemoglobin (P<0.05), but other parameters were not significantly different between groups (P>0.05). With respect to fatty acids, puffer fish, hybrids and hybrid triploids contained fatty acids such as SFAs, MUFAs, n-3 PUFAs and n-6 PUFAs. There were significantly different amounts of total fatty acids between groups (P<0.05), however, rates of changes in fatty acids did not differ significantly between groups (P>0.05). Gonadal hormone (estradiol and testosterone) changes in the river puffer and tiger puffer were significantly higher than that observed in hybrids and hybrid triploids. The hybrids and tiger puffers had higher amounts of growth hormone (thyroid stimulating hormone and thyroxine) than the hybrid triploids and river puffers (P<0.05).

Hybrid SNR-Adaptive Multiuser Detectors for SDMA-OFDM Systems

  • Multiuser detection (MUD) and channel estimation techniques in space-division multiple-access aided orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems recently has received intensive interest in receiver design technologies. The maximum likelihood (ML) MUD that provides optimal performance has the cost of a dramatically increased computational complexity. The minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) MUD exhibits poor performance, although it achieves lower computational complexity. With almost the same complexity, an MMSE with successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme achieves a better bit error rate performance than a linear MMSE multiuser detector. In this paper, hybrid ML-MMSE with SIC adaptive multiuser detection based on the joint channel estimation method is suggested for signal detection. The simulation results show that the proposed method achieves good performance close to the optimal ML performance at low SNR values and a low computational complexity at high SNR values.

유한요소법을 이용한 보강판의 균열거동해석 (Analysis of Crack Growth in the Stiffened Panels by using Finite Element Method)

  • A simple numerical procedure is presented to determine the stress intensity factors for crack in a stiffened panel subjected to a uniaxial uniform stress normal to the crack. Two types of stiffened panels are analyzed by the finite element method for various values of crack lengths, stiffness ratios, and stiffener spacings. From the finite element solution, the stress intensity factors were determined by using hybrid extrapolation method. Results are presented in graphical forms for upper mentioned parameters.
