The purpose of this study is to develop and analyze the meaning and contents of the "H-STEAM teaching & learning model" which combines Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) with the elements of Humanities. We developed this model based on the key competencies linked with career path for middle school students in Korea, with the recognition of two issues. First, the existing Korean STEAM education lacks the elements of humanities, thus failing to achieve an authentic convergence education. Second, it is necessary to develop a program that might correspond to the Free Semester Program that was first introduced in 2013, and implemented at full scale in 2016 for middle school students in Korea. The advantages of H-STEAM are as follows: First, H-STEAM enables students to flexibly think while traversing the physical world and the symbolic world in the process of dealing with the daily problems. Second, it combines advanced technology with human sensibility and imagination, and enables students to derive creative outcomes that stimulate their minds. Third, it makes students feel and realize a point of contact between the subject that students learn, and jobs of the real world.

In consumer space, architecture is experiencing the rise of architectural design that reflects the experience of the customer. As a result, the shape and space in architecture have overcome their basic functional aspirations, thus fulfilling the aesthetic desires driven by human sensibility. This has led to overcome the primary internal condition of sales of industrial establishments and made possible its role as a marketing tool through the improvement of the brand image and in charge of indirect sales. This research will be based on the Prada Tokyo Epee Center's architectural process, designed by Herzog De Moron, focusing on the relationship between the space design process and strategy and experimental marketing aiming towards the architect's intention and goal in relation to perceptive communication. This paper will thus look into how experiential marketing strategies, prominent in marketing, are being shown in comsumer spaceas design elements. It will further investigate into how design elements is being used as a tool for product sales and brand image reconstruction. In conclusion, authors discuss importance of experimental marketing tool in the current consumer society and role of contemporary architects who need to consider design that does not only satisfy their customers but further stimulates their desires.

Architecture of the present time has a general tendency that focuses only in its permanence between the structure and the ground. Architecture has the temporariness. In other words, it is a losing creation. Structure of natural building materials starts its life on the ground and also ends its life on there. Natural building materials leave no building wastes on their ground. Concerns about how to let materials contain not only its physical property but also their regional relation and timely temporariness can let us express materiality of natural building materials in modern construction spaces. And also, it will be the way of recovering the value of architecture and the healing human's sensibility. Kuma Kengo made an attempt that makes the best use of materiality in his work by using them in balance and draw new materiality by a fusion of them. In here, suggestion about the ways of using weak natural materials in modern construction spaces is the main object of this paper. And we can make a progress by analyzing Kuma's expression way of materiality in his work.

We are exposed to the various external stimuli input from the environment, which cause emotional changes based on the characteristics of the stimuli. Unfortunately, there are no quantitative results on relationship between human sensibility and the characteristics of physiological signals. The objective of this study was to quantify EEG signals evoked by visual stimulation based on the assumption that the analysis of the variability on the characteristics of the EEG waveform may provide the significant information regarding changes in psychological states of the subject. Seven university students were participated in this study. The experiment was devised with eleven experimental conditions, which are control and ten different types of visual stimulation based on IAPS (International Affective Picture Systems). Wavelet transformation was employed to analyze the EEG signals. Most positive and negative emotional response were compared in pairs. The results showed that the reconstructed signals at the decomposition level revealed the different energy value on the EEG signals. Also, general patterns of EEG signals in rest state compare with positive and negative stimulus were found. This study could be extended to establish an algorithm which distinguishes psychophysiological states of the subjects exposed to the visual stimulation.

Poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) fabrics were treated with a silica particle and phosphate flame retardant to determine the optimum process condition of the digital textile printing(DTP) media. The treating conditions for the study were 6 conditions, from F1 to F6, in which F3, F4 and F5 were treated with mixture of both silica particle and phosphate compound in process of pad, dry and cure fixation. F6 was treated with phosphate compound only and silica particle coating successively. Xanthan gum was used to control the migration of liquid phosphate compound onto PET fabrics. The change in surface morphology of fabrics treated with silica particle and phosphate compound was observed by SEM and flame retardance was evaluated by limiting oxygen index(LOI). It was observed that F6 was the excellent flame retardance and low bleeding in printing, Collectively, the printing characteristics of silica to cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink and flame retardance of fabrics finished with phosphate compound were identified in this study.

한정된 네트워크 대역폭을 가진 현재의 인터넷에서 영상의 품질을 향상시키기 위해 영상의 비트율을 높이는 것은 비용 등 여러 가지 문제로 인해 현실적으로 많은 어려움이 있다. 따라서 비록 충분하지 못한 비트율의 영상을 전송받더라도 전송받은 영상의 화질을 높이는 연구가 다양한 방법으로 진행되고 있다. 영상의 화질을 향상시키는 많은 방법 중 후처리 기법은 이러한 잡음을 효과적으로 제거 할 수 있으면서 동영상 압축 표준 복호기를 수정할 필요가 없기 때문에 좋은 해결책이 된다. 동영상의 압축 과정에서 낮은 비트율로 인해 발생하는 화질 열화 현상 중에 쉽게 완화 할 수 있고, 영상의 질이 비용 대비 높은 효율로 좋아지는 대표적인 현상이 블록화 현상이다. 일반적으로 블록화 현상은 영상의 고주파대역에서 나타나므로 본 논문에서 영상의 고주파 성분과 블록화 현상을 구분하기 위해 Sobel 마스크를 사용한다. 구분된 블록화 현상이 발생한 매크로블록의 양쪽 경계면에 4-tap 저주파 통과 필터를 사용하여 블록화 현상을 효과적으로 완화할 수 있다. 개선된 영상의 화질 평가 기법으로 신호처리 분야에서 많이 사용되는 객관적인 지표인 PSNR에 의한 평가와 함께 실제 인간의 시각을 기준으로 주관적이고 감성적인 관찰에 의한 평가를 함께 수행한다.

A vibration in the building occurs by influences of the facility equipment and the structural system. As the building recently becomes higher and bigger, the vibration in the floor slab is issued. Specially, the vibration with $4{\sim}8Hz$ frequency is harder to control than any other range of frequency. This vibration easily affects human sensibility and often makes the resonance phenomenon by corresponding with the floor slab's natural frequency when people and heavy equipments move. Moreover, the permission regulations for the vibration of the building are established by building's purposes. However, it is not subdivided in detail and sometimes ambiguous to each client. Even though the vibration could cause negative influences in a research building, there is not the vibration criterion for a research building. Therefore, it is necessary to set up its own vibration criterion with the client before building and to keep checking this vibration criterion under the construction. This study proposes the reasonable control methods and the vibration criterion for floor slab's vibration which are adapted to the R4-project. The R4-project is a research building and a high-rise building also. Accordingly, this study could help to the next similar project in the design and the construction phase.

Men perceive and react around him through the five senses. Also men give rise to the human sensibility and maintain his emotion. This study doesn't limit working environment to VDT environment, but considers the universal working environment acquiring information by eyesight stimulation. In case of forming an abnormal veiling reflection we consider the form ; a vertical(25%, 50%, 75%)and a horizontal(25%, 50%, 75%). The results from the subjective evaluation are analyzed by SD(Semantic Differentical methodology)of 5 point scale for visibility and nuisance when an abnormal veiling reflection forms on target. In addition, the results of the objective evaluation are suggested by measuring and analyzing EEG of bio-signal for visual sensitivity. The results of this study can apply to basic data which create a guideline of a visual operation. In particular, it can be designed as an illumination environment concerning an ergonomic factor on visual operations, mental stress such as a visual inspection operation, visual information search operation, etc. As a result, we can expect to reduce the visual nuisance and contribute to the improvement of the performance and the uplift of the competitive power.

This study aims to investigate the concepts and characteristics of Metrosexual and Ubersexual image which are the recent fashion phenomena representing the lifestyles of comtemporary men, and to analyze the design of contemporary men's fashion based on the represented characteristics of these sexual images. To accomplish these ends, various related publications, articles and papers, divers serial publications, and numerous internet articles are collectively reviewed for theoretical studies, and design analysis are conducted for content analysis(style, color, material, detail, etc) using photo data taken from the collections from 2001 through 2006. The results of this study shows that recent appearance of Metrosexual and Ubersexual fashion image represents the change of aesthetic standards in the contemporary society. With the influence of sociocultural phenomena which allow the pursuit of individual personality, the contemporary men, instead of expressing the socialized sexual identity, came to acquire the freedom of sexual identity which represents their personal desires. As an expression of hmnan will to pursue unrestricted sensibility and aesthetic sense, these sexual phenomena of Metrosexual and Ubersexual will be reinterpreted and reappear in various forms as the social atmosphere and aesthetic standards changes.

For the disabled persons who can't use their limbs, motorized wheelchair that is activated by voice recognition module employing speaker independent method, was implemented. The wireless voice transfer device was designed and employed for the user convenience. And the wheelchair was designed to operate using voice and keypad by selection of the user because they can manipulate it using keypad if necessary. The speaker independent method was used as the voice recognition module in order that anyone can manipulate the wheelchair in case of assistance. Using the implemented wheelchair, performance and motion of the system was examined and it has over than 97% of voice recognition rate and proper movements.
