This paper aims at the comparative study of practicing Buddhism and Taoism related to "life gate". The term "life gate", as a physiological entity of disputed morphological identity, first appears in The Inner Canon where it refers to the eyes. Reference to a "life gate" as an internal organ body first appears in The Classic of Difficult Issues which states, "The two kidneys are not both kidneys' The left one is the kidney, and the right is the life gate." Successive scholars refers to life gate as a gi point of Taoists.. The question of the life gate invited little discussion until the Myeong and Cheong Dynasty, when various different theories were put forward. Especially Jin Sa-taek says "life gate" is the governor of the twelve place in the human body, throwing light on the meaning of it. Not that life gate denotes a local point, it does a system of life gate. Generally speaking, life gate designates cinnabar field. I think that the human body produces essence by way of life gate. That is, the human body is unified by the system of life gate. Life gate is not only the source of infusing the engine of the human body with vital energy but also as well as gi-point.

The short in vivo half-life of GLP-1 prevents it from being used clinically. This short half-life occurs because GLP-1 is rapidly degraded by dipeptidyl peptidases such as DPP-IV. To overcome this obstacle, a GLP-1/Fc was constructed and evaluated to determine if it was degraded by DPP-IV and in serum. When the degradation of GLP-1/Fc by human DPP-IV and rabbit serum was compared with that of GLP-1 it was found to be reduced by approximately 5- and 4-fold, respectively. Furthermore, GLP-1/Fc showed a potent activity for human GLP-1 receptor activation ($EC_{50}$ approximately 6 nM). Taken together, these results indicate that GLP-1/Fc may have an extended half-life in vivo that occurs as a result of inhibition of degradation by human DPP-IV. Due to the extended half life, GLP-1/Fc may be useful for clinical treatments.
Mankind has been attempting to live a happy and safe family life in a residential space. Due to the advent of the mobile phone in the 1990s and the smart phone in the 2000s, when the information and communication age came, human life has been innovatively changed. The revolution of human civilization led to the Neolithic Revolution and the Iron Age, followed by a smart phone revolutionizing human life, and the revolution faces with the era of info-communication, smart phones became a daily life and the fourth industrial revolution. The fourth industrial revolution is an era of info-communication technology (ICT), creating a new paradigm across human life through technological developments such as artificial intelligence (AI), IoT, big data, mobile, and cloud. The smart home is actively researched in a direction to support the overall human life as a representative future residential culture paradigm. However, the study considering the needs according to the lifestyle, functional characteristics of each living space and human lifestyle of the Phono Sapiens era where smart phones live like daily life was relatively insufficient. In addition, research on smart home service design should be considered from the apartment residential space planning stage. Therefore, this study has significance in suggesting the direction of research on human-centered smart home service design considering the characteristics of each living space and resident's life-style in the smart phone era.

In this paper, a model of adaptive individual life support system is proposed from the viewpoint of cybernetics. This model is derived based on the relation between human behavior and human action, static and dynamic in processing speed, and abstract/concrete. In applications, task and information of human which includes in this system analyzed by paying attention to cybernetics. This paper shows a few actual example of modeling by fundamental adaptive individual life support model such as medical diagnosis, health care and education support. Finally as an example, design and implementation are concretely carried out for health care support system. This is also a method to design a information support system which is involved in human.
In this study, the relationships between the interior space of the upper class residence of Korean late Chosun dynasty and human dimensions based on their life styles of that era are analized. As an object of the study, the interior space of Yunkyungdant in Changduk palace is selected. The major analytical frame works of this study are : the analysis of Space-Human Body System, the analysis of Space-Objects-Human Body System, and the analy-sis of Space-Objects-Human Body System, and the analy-sis of Space-Objects-Life Activities of Human Body System. As a result, it was verified that there are certain quantitative relationships between the interior space of the residence and the human dimensions of Koreans lived up to their life styles and activities of Chosun dynasty era, specialized as 'Confucian life style'.
Humans have acquired many distinct evolutionary traits after the human-chimpanzee divergence. These phenotypes have resulted from genetic changes that occurred in the human genome and were retained by natural selection. Comparative primate genome analyses reveal that loss-of-function mutations are common in the human genome. Some of these gene inactivation events were revealed to be associated with the emergence of advantageous phenotypes and were therefore positively selected and fixed in modern humans (the "less-ismore" hypothesis). Representative cases of human gene inactivation and their functional implications are presented in this review. Functional studies of additional inactive genes will provide insight into the molecular mechanisms underlying acquisition of various human-specific traits. [BMB Reports 2015; 48(7): 373-379]
After the launch of smart phones, various miniaturized smart devices such as wearable and IOT devices have deeply embedded in human life, and have created a technology-oriented society. In this technology-oriented society, technology development itself is important, however it seems more important to utilize existing technology appropriately and deliver effectively to human life. As the computer became personalized after the appearance of PC, human-centered computing such as HCI and UCD had begun to appear. However, most of the researches focused on technology that made human being convenient to interact with computer such as computer systems design and UX development. In the technology-oriented society, it seems more urgent to apply existing technology to human life. In this paper, we propose a methodology, 'Digital Leveraging' which guides how to effectively apply technology to human life. Digital Leveraging is the way of convergence between technology and humanities.

Stem cells are unique cell populations with the ability to undergo both self-renewal and differentiation, although a wide variety of adult stem cells as well as embryonic stem cells have been identified and stem cell plasticity has recently been reported. To identify genes implicated in the control of the stem cell state as well as the characteristics of each stem cell line, we analyzed the expression profiles of genes in human embryonic, hematopoietic ($CD34^+$ and $CD133^+$), and mesenchymal stem cells using cDNA microarrays, and identified genes that were differentially expressed in specific stem cell populations. In particular we were able to identify potential hESC signature-like genes that encode transcription factors (TFAP2C and MYCN), an RNA binding protein (IMP-3), and a functionally uncharacterized protein (MAGEA4). The overlapping sets of 22 up-regulated and 141 down-regulated genes identified in this study of three human stem cell types may also provide insight into the developmental mechanisms common to all human stem cells. Furthermore, our comprehensive analyses of gene expression profiles in various adult stem cells may help to identify the genetic pathways involved in self-renewal as well as in multi-lineage specific differentiation.
