Modern people come to have high standard and variety need for the oneself expression these days. This phenomenon also, appears in the house space clearly. There are design characteristics in an element expressing a lifestyle and personality in the house space and a living room is the space that is important at time to do a design characteristics plan. Therefore, this study is going to analyze the design characteristics of the apartment house which is a representative house type these days. Concretely, there are design characteristics that a color, an Image, a style. This study used questionary survey from June 10, 2008 to July 9. The color analyzed a color and tone through a color palette of PCIS and the living room image used SD(semantic differential method) method by a concrete analysis method. The result of the analysis were as follows; 1) Various colors and tone were prefer in a house future than the house where lived in. 2) It was done prefer to 'comfort' image for the future living room image in the future but 'provocative' image and 'splendid' were not done a choice 3) A 'modern style' was done prefer to of with a house living room style in the future.

The purpose of this study is to suggest the materials for developing the new house style by analysing the space characteristics of wood frame houses in suburbs of Seoul. For this, we analysed 45 drawings(site plan, floor plan, elevation, section) that were designed by MICHOO, WOOD-LAND, STUGA and CHOWONJUTECK company etc. The space design characteristics that we found are as follows; 1. The wood is fragile to humidity. Therefore this characteristic is especially considered in designing the space of bathroom and utility room. 2. It is the merit of wood frame house that inner space can be designed variously by using spilt-level and the slope of roof. 3.The public space and private space are completely separated in most cases and the stair is located in the middle of house. This structure of house is short of horizontal openness. Instead, most houses gets vertical openness by making second floor on the living room opev. 4. In wood frame house as the rural house, the outer space is well used by setting up deck and balcony. The outer spaces like deck and balcony are usually used as a part of life space in connected with living room, dining room, master bed room and family room. 5. The public spaces like kitchen, living room, dining room and family room are considered so important in design that those are arranged in front in order to have good outlook and directiov.

Since the Japanese colonization,\ulcornerThe Architectural Association of Chosun(AAC)\ulcornerwas founded by the Japanese architects residing in Chosun. It is necessary to study the house related activities of this AAC as the process of modernization of Korean houses. As research materials,\ulcorner Chosun and Architecture\ulcornerwas used and the main concern of this research was based on competition of house design which were published in the magazines. There were four competitions which reflected the activity background of AAC with the social circumstances at that time and the research was done especially on the definite situation of the competition of house design. Also, the prize winning works were analyzed accordingly.

The purpose of this study is to examine house and interior design during the Georgian Period in England. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Typical houses during the Georgian Period were generally two types that one was a single detached house in the country and the other was a terrace houses in the city. 2. Both the houses and their interior design during the Georgian Period were influenced by Classicism and Palladianism. The distinction of forms and the decorations used motifs originating from Greece and Rome. Gradually, It had been changed by the influence of Rococo from Europe and the archaeological excavation of Pompeii and Herculaneum. 3. The facade of house used simpe, plain and symmetrical forms. Entrance was usually in the center of the house around sash windows. Also, the Inside of house, division of walls, arrangement of furnitures and decorations of details were followed the symmetrical forms. Finally, it was found that the distinctions represent the typical style of Georgian in England.

Because the hatred and phenomenon of NIMBY for charnel house become an issue, it is the actual condition that charnel facilities are not activated in urban. The purpose of this study Is to examine the space plan of charnel house that introduces the community concept; and then shows the way of interior design for charnel house connected with community space. The following researches are drawn based upon the purpose First, the present conditions and general functions of charnel house are considered closely and revised funeral policy that affects the organization of interior space in charnel house is analysed. Second, the case study for chanel house is limited to the indoor types among the existing researches for charnel house plan. Four charnel houses where were built after 2000 are selected for building standard of space organization in charnel house connected with community facility. Third, the concept and function of community space are considered and the space which can accommodate in charnel house is investigated. Fourth, the concept and organizational framework model of charnel house connected with community facility as a intermediate area In urban Indicate. Fifth, the concrete interior plan for charnel house connected with community space is proposed on the design case of charnel house that are located in urban area. The result of this study is expected to reduce a complicated matter with local residents and to have a correct understanding of charnel house in the future as the existing charnel facilities that have financial difficulty should make a remodeling plan including the community space that give mutual connection to area.

This paper not only reviews recent trends and characteristics of welfare facilities, but also proposes main components such as building materials and furniture applying a traditional Korean house. This paper aims to utilize interior design and construction materials of unit-care welfare facility applying the traditional Korean house. Results are as follows. 1. The rate of the private bedroom as elderly welfare facilities is 63.1%; on the contrary, the rate of the 4-person bedroom is 63.2%. The expansion of the private bedroom is an urgent need in order to improve the quality of residences. 2. According to elderly services needs and revitalization for the traditional Korean house, it is required to implementation the unit-care facilities for the elderly and interior design for the traditional Korean house. 3. The interior design for the traditional Korean house is applied to elderly living space such as a bedroom and a living room; it is not applied to care space and management space such as a nurse station and an office occupied by employees. 4. There is no problem to construct space applying the traditional Korean house using interior products currently being sold in the domestic market. 5. Standardized mass production is essential to popularize the traditional Korean house style interior.

The purpose of this study is to develop house caddie uniforms design which reflects the CI and image of 'Golfzon County Sunwoon', a representative golf course in the Honam circle, to enhance a positive image of a golf course and improve house caddies' service quality and their working efficiency. Study methods were as follows. In literature review, the domestic golf industry, golf culture, and house caddie uniforms as one of golf course CI elements were investigated. In empirical study, the formativeness of domestic golf course CI and house caddie uniforms was analyzed. Then, house caddie uniforms were developed using CI which is the symbolic element of a golf course. A concept for uniforms design development was 'Golf & Culture Communication' to symbolically represent an image of IT-based total golf culture club. It was limited to female uniforms design for spring or autumn that is high in application. A symbol and a logo which are symbolic elements of a golf course were freely worn in the form of a brooch. Symbolism and practicality were reinforced using PB(v), R(v), YR(v), and Y(vp) colors only for a golf course. Functionality was improved by using UV protection materials and aesthetics was expressed by reflecting 2014-15 F/W trends.

This study proposes a method of generating steel house shop drawing in an automated design method, reducing construction manpower and period. With one hour fire-resistant approval code, reflecting work ability and efficiency, steel-framed house market is expected to extend from one or two story house to multi-purpose facilities up to four story height. More models have been constructed in this system than the first appearance of fire-resistant approval in Korea in 1997. Also, cost estimation of components such as frame walls, roof trusses and floors is obtained with shop drawings. Also, the lack of suppliers of steel framed house shop drawing and unstandardized drawing method get constructors have difficulty in understanding its design. In steel framed house industry, shop drawings are essential part in building and constructing framework and they have major effects on construction deadlines and expenses. By exploring method of shop drawing automation, this study aims to optimize work flow with a standardized drawing method. The proposed system can be applied to manufacturing automation in domestic industry of factory-built panelizing method in the near future.

Designing of the apartment house in present has been contributing to private unit reflected demands and characteristics of residents. However, common space hasn't been designed in various ways compared to unit. Though the main entrance is place to link inner space and out space, to make resident identity and to communicate with neighbors, It has been produced the same type. The space design in 21st century is focusing on contents of space with the development of techniques, and we need to find applicability of new design related to digital technology in apartment house. The purpose of this study is to find applicability of interaction design at main entrance in apartment house for improvement functions of entrance. The results of this study were as follows; The main entrance is possible more active place through the interaction design that would be satisfied with residents needs and functions.
