Cruise industry is a continually growing high value industry despite of economic recession. As Chinese cruise tourists increase, the cruise industry in Northeast Asia has been attracting attention. Korean ports have constructed cruise terminals with vision of becoming a cruise home port. Asian leading cruise country, Singapore has cruise industry strategy linked with Singaporean tourism strategy. Based on the Singaporean cruise industry, several strategies for Korean cruise industry development are suggested. Analyzing the economic effect of cruise home port and call-port and Korean cruise industry environment shows that Busan port is fit for home port, Incheon port is fit for sub home port, and Jeju port is fit for call-port. Korean cruise ports are playing a role in call-port in Northeast Asia cruise market, an introduction of Korean cruise company and home port by the company are needed to develop the Korean cruise industry.

In this paper, we have designed and implemented Web based Home Phoneline Neworking Aliance(Home PNA)device management, system which can resolve the unfair bandwidth service form may subscribers and manage subscribes using these devices. To manage Home PNA device with Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP) management elements are classified into system. Port performance, fault functional area based on Management Information Base(MIB) objects from Multi Dwelling Unit(MDU) devices MIB. System management provides configuration information of each MDU devices, and port management provides the current state of subscribes and performs filtering operation against the unauthorized users. And performance management provides traffic information about trunk and subscriber lines. Finally fault management provides fault logging fo the unexpected events and trap message from devices To verify the operability of the proposed system, we have tested it in real network environment.

It becomes common to use computers to control electronic devices and security facilities in newly constructed buildings and house. There are many home application devices in the market which can be controlled by computers. But they are expensive and managed by specialized companies. This paper is focused on personal computers which are available in most homes and can be used to control home electronic appliances and home security facilities. We implemented a home automation server based on Linux. The standard parallel port of personal computer is used to connect sensors and actuators. Therefore, the cost of the server is very low. Moreover, the server is connected to Internet and anywhere we can control and monitor the home security facilities and home automation systems.

The development of Korea in the Northeast through trade is not a matter of choice as far as national strategy is concerned, but is an important national policy that is a matter of life or death which will determine the future fate of Korea. This thesis will attempt to arrive at a general, tangible plan for the development of Korea in the Northeast centered around trade by examining the change in naval environment at home and abroad, the given economic situation in the Northeast, and the present state of essential port development in Korea-China-Japan. Its objective will be to provide strategies for the development of Busan port confrontation. For the last ten years, China has been growing at a rapid rate. Since a lot of the volume of naval trade is being transferred from Korea to China, we must do everything we can to improve the service and reduce cost. In addition, Japan also is losing international position. Japan's government and the private industry are trying to make Super Core Ports a prominent feature of their port system. If the Busan port system is to remain competitive, these aspects of the Japanese port system must be kept in mind to prevent trade from going to other ports with more competitive systems.

The master of ship is always authorised to perform whatever acts are ordinarily necessary for the safe and proper prosecution of the voayge with regard to both ship and cargo. In other words, when a ship is away from her home port, where her business was managed, the master generally carried the owner's authority, and ordinarily he had power to enter into engagements, on their behalf, for carrying goods in the ship, or for letting her service, provided those engagements were consistent with the usual manner of employing her adopted by the owners. Accordingly he has always to decide onboard for an adequate applying of statutory law and cases whenever he acts. But the master would appear to have no such autho-rity where he can communicate with the owners without difficulty as, now-a-days, he nearly always can. This paper, therefore, intend to review some guidance of his authority in accordance with the Korean Code of Commerce as well as precedent based on it. The paper is also simply to place at the disposal of young shipmasters and those who aspire to command some legal information concerning limit of master's authority away from vessel's home port through legal commentation on the precedent, which may assist them to a better understanding of the many problems they may be faced with in the course of their ca-reers. In order to make an efficient study of legal structure concerned for shipmaster's authority, several up-to-date precedents are selected and described herein by writer's opinion for preventing unreasonable legal dispute in this field before courts in future.

The increase in the number of ships entering and leaving the port and the creation of various cargo volumes can promote local economy and lead to regional development, attracting businesses, and influx of local residents. The port area of Dangjin consists of the limited cargo and most private docks, making it increasingly weak in meeting the local economic development and the expectations of local residents. Therefore, in order to promote regional development and revitalize the local economy, and to reduce the sense of alienation of local residents, it is necessary to make it easier to access and water to ports through the development of all areas of Eumseompo-gu, and to make active changes in the marine and port logistics environment. As seen through various cases of port development at home and abroad and the redevelopment of the ports at Gohyeon Port in Geoje, Dangjin Port should be able to quickly demonstrate the development of the Dangjin Port area and improve the quality of life for the residents of the metropolitan area. This is the time when the government's drive is highly requested.

In order for Busan New Port to secure more trading volumes than the competing ports at home and abroad, an alternative plan for the new port management policy needs to be sought. By the way, aiming to minimize trial and error while maximizing effect in establishing and driving the new port management policy, there is necessity of referring to the developmental strategies of the advanced ports such as Singapore and Hong Kong that are possessing the globally leading position as well as maximizing the substantial value added and the employment-creation effect even qualitatively. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to propose for a reasonable development strategy for Busan New Port in line with conditions and characteristics of Busan New Port by comparing and analyzing conditions and characteristics of these two advanced ports and by comparative analysis on the developmental strategy according to this.

Korea is one of the world's major oil importers. And a few domestic ports are operating SBMs for transferring imported crude oil to shore facilities. Recently, Ulsan port is planning to install additional new SBM and to move the existing two SBMs to other places according to the establishment of breakwater caused by the development of Ulsan New Port. However, there are no systematic and consistent standards for fixing the most suitable position domestically and internationally. This study aims to propose the standard of SBM installation using SAW after analyzing the examples of SBM operation and previous researches at home and abroad, and proposing the distribution rate based on opinion survey of exports and related organizations.

There have been many streaming servers that provide a large number of contents for a user's preference. General purpose streaming sewer makes use of a RTSP protocol for streaming controls such as message passing with client players. To date, there has been minimal research regarding streaming server's performance test tools. For measuring streaming server's performance, performance evaluation technique is needed and also achieved by RTSP based controls, a server's performance result and its miscellaneous test tools such the PseudoPlayer for pumping data to a specified port and the PseudoMonitor for gathering information. In this paper, We implement a test toolkit for evaluating a streaming server's performance and show the case of its application

The cruise industry in the Mediterranean region increased from 2000-2018, being the second most important region after the Caribbean. The purpose of this study was to analyze the networks and hub ports of the Mediterranean. This paper used the SNA (Social Network Analysis) methodology, which includes Hub and Authority Combined Centrality (HACC) that has been used to analyze cruise port centrality, as well as degree centrality such as In-Degree, Out-Degree, and Betweenness. This empirical study suggests that the top three ports of the Mediterranean ports' network in terms of hub index are Barcelona, Civitavecchia, and Palma de Mallorca. The academic implications are the suggestion for data integration based on real itineraries and numbers of POC (Port of Calls), as well as the selection of the hubs of the targeted areas. The practical implications are suggested such as a clear requirement for cruise industry, as a way to widen the scope for the Mediterranean region and a valuable reference for cruise ship companies to select the best fit home ports.
