새로운 아태지역 지정학 구도와 한미일 해양협력 과제 (Emerging Geopolitical Landscape in the Asia-Pacific Region and the Necessity of ROK-Japan-US Maritime Cooperation)

  • The Asia-Pacific Region has emerged as a arena of geopolitical competition between the U.S. and China. The Obama administration of the U.S. had laid out the concept of rebalancing strategy toward the region, concentrating its 60 percent of Naval Forces to the region till 2020 and consolidating its network of allies and partners. Whereas Chinese leader Xi Jinping also put forward the concept of new type of major power relations concerning its relations with the U.S. and a concept of 'the Asian Community of Common Destiny' aiming at a more intensified mutual relation among countries in the region. In doing so, Asia-Pacific region gradually became the arena where mutual competition and cooperation between the U.S. and China has crossfired. As a close ally to the U.S. and a partner to Japan, South Korea should develop trilateral naval cooperation by holding joint naval drill with the aim of humanitarian support and disaster relief. At the same time, Seoul also should make efforts to proceed mutual confidence building with Beijing by deepening military-to-military cooperation. These policy options will be helpful to enhance Seoul's security posture in the region.

  • 포항항은 19개의 지정 정박지와 3개의 검역 정박지로 운영되고 있으나, 일평균 약 40여척을 수용하기엔 정박지의 숫자가 부족하고, 최근 기상악화로 인한 주묘발생으로 선박이 방파제와 충돌하거나 침몰하는 해난사고가 발생하였다. 이는 포항항 정박지가 북동방향의 외해로 열려있는 지형적인 특성으로 북동쪽의 높은 풍랑 유입시 정박지에 투묘중인 선박의 주묘현상이 발생되어 선박 사고의 위험이 상존하고 있기 때문이다. ${\cdots}$ (중략) ${\cdots}$.

  • In this study, the balance beam control subsystem, new type of construction machinery using the mechanism of CMG (control moment gyro), for the attitude control of an unstructured object such as a beam carried by a tower crane, is designed and implemented. The balance beam controller consists of a wheel spinning at high speed and an outer gimbal for controlling the attitude of the wheel. Two motors, one for the wheel and the other for the gimbal, are used. Applying force to the spin axis of the wheel, as an input of the system, leads the torque about the axis because of the gyro effects. This torque is used to control the attitude of the unstructured object in this study. For the stabilizer function, in addition, holding the load at the current position, the attitude of the wheel is freed by cutting the power applied to the gimbal motor of the balance beam controller, which result in the braking force to stop the load by gyro effect. The works presented here include the mechanical system of the balance beam controller, the remote controller, the servo controller and the control software for the system. We also present experimental results to show that the system we proposed is useful as a new construction machinery which can control the attitude of the beam hanging from a tower crane.

  • After the construction participants system is abolished, expectations are high for its consequences such as liquidating paper-companies, holding back low price contracts, and improving multi-stepwise subcontract structure. However, the professional construction firms have been took responsibilities and obligations as businessmen employing the chief workmen and construction workers. For this reason, it is expected that they will be charged a great deal of expenses such as increase in labor management services and laborers, the occurrence of an retirement grants, insurance fees, etc. Since the hold on power of field managers are getting weaker toward the construction workers, it is most likely to have loss in efficiency of production in the long term. Therefore purpose of this research is to analyze difficulties and the point at issues with which professional construction firms are undergoing after abolishing the construction participants system by investigating on the actual condition in the field management. For this research, we got a grip on the actual condition and analyzed the rise of a primary factor on reinforced concrete construction.

철도화차 대차용 마모판 개발 (Development of the wear plate for the railway freight car)

  • There are about 13,000 freight cars in Korea. The holding amount of the freight cars are many more than the other types of cars. But the bogie structure has many friction parts, so three are many hold-ups for the maintenance problem on the spot. As seen in Fig. 1 friction parts are organized of 30 parts in case of welding structure bogie. Especially left-right positions of the axle box have severe problems for the wear, they occurs the reduction of maintenance period, a lowering of the running safety. Generally the thickness of wear plate is 4.5mm and attached to bogie by way of welding method. At the running situation the friction occurs in wear plate each other. Namely the role of the wear plate reduce the load from the carbody. So we need the wear plate fur low-wearing, adequate friction power.

자유관절을 가진 2링크 암의 동특성과 제어 (Dynamic Characteristics and Control of Two-Link Arm with Free Joint)

  • A robot arm with free joints has some advantages over conventional ones. A light weight and low power consumed arm can be made by a reduction of the number of joint actuators. And this arm can easily overcomes actuator failure due to unexpected accident. In general such underactuated arm does not have controllability because of the lack of joint actuators. The two-link arm with a free joint introduced in this paper is also uncontrollable in the sense of linear system theory. However, the linearized system sometimes can not represent the inherent dynamic behavior of the nonlinear system. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of the two-link arm with a free joint in view of global motion including damping and friction effect of the joints is investigated. In the case of considering only the damping effect, the controllable goal positions are confined to a specific trajectories. But in the case of considering the friction effect, the system can be controlled to arbitrary positions using the friction of the free joint as a holding brake. Also numerical example of position control is presented.

솔비탄계 비이온계면활성제 종류에 따른 에멀션점착제의 점착물성 (Adhesive Properties of Emulsion PSA for Various Nonionic Sorbitan Surfactants)

  • 에멀션형 점착제 분야에서 노닐페닐계 비이온계면활성제를 대체할 수 있는 친환경 비이온 계면활성제를 찾기 위해 솔비탄계 비이온계면활성제를 다양한 화학구조별로 선별하여 에멀션형 점착제를 제조한 후 이를 노닐페닐계 비이온계면활성제인 NPE40을 사용한 점착제와 점착물성을 비교해 봄으로써 그 대체 가능성을 확인하였다. 이 결과 NSR10-series와 Tween 60의 경우에 NPE40의 경우보다 초기점착력, 박리강도 그리고 유지력 면에서 모두 더 우수한 점착물성을 보임을 알 수 있었다. 이는 솔비탄계 비이온계면활성제의 특이한 화학구조와 소수성기와 에틸렌옥사이드기의 적절한 비율 때문일 것으로 판단된다.

  • 지구 온난화에 대한 대응 노력으로 스마트그리드가 주목받고 있으며, 국내의 경우 정부는 CO2 배출량의 20%를 차지하고 있는 수송 분야를 대체하기 위한 노력으로 전기자동차 및 충전 인프라 구축을 확대하고 있다. 하지만 전기자동차 충전 인프라는 지능화를 위해 IT기술을 접목하고 있어 기존 IT기술이 가지고 있던 보안위협들을 그대로 상속받을 수 있다. 이로 인해 발생할 수 있는 보안 사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있도록 보다 안전한 전기자동차 충전 인프라 구축이 요구된다. 이에 본 논문은 전기자동차 충전 인프라에 대한 논리적 아키텍처를 제시하고 이를 바탕으로 발생 가능한 보안위협들을 식별하였다. 또한, 이러한 보안위협들을 대응하기 위한 보안요구사항을 분석 및 제시하였다.

  • Thermoelectric materials have been the topic of intensive research due to their unique dual capability of directly converting heat into electricity or electrical power into cooling or heating. Bismuth telluride ($Bi_2Te_3$) is the best-known commercially used thermoelectric material in the bulk form for cooling and power generation applications In this work we focus on the large scale synthesis of nanostructured undoped bulk nanostructured $Bi_2Te_3$ materials by employing a novel bottom-up solution-based chemical approach. Spark plasma sintering has been employed for compaction and sintering of $Bi_2Te_3$ nanopowders, resulting in relative density of $g{\cdot}cm^{-3}$ while preserving the nanostructure. The average grain size of the final compacts was obtained as 200 nm after sintering. An improved NS bulk undoped $Bi_2Te_3$ is achieved with sintered at $400^{\circ}C$ for 4 min holding time.

  • 전동기 일체형 유압액추에이터(EHA)는 전기모터와 직결되어 구동되는 유압펌프를 이용하여 유압 피스톤의 변위나 속도를 제어할 수 있도록 모듈화된 유압기기로 효율이 높고 독립된 동력원을 갖는 장점으로 인하여 항공기의 전자구동시스템에 적용되어 왔다. 최근에는 다양한 형태의 유압시스템이 적용되고 있는 건설중장비 분야에서 엔진과 전기모터를 결합한 하이브리드 기술이 개발됨에 따라 EHA의 활용범위가 확대될 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 편로드 유압실린더를 갖는 EHA가 적용된 유압시스템을 대상으로 펌프작동에 따른 유압실린더의 기동 및 정지특성을 고찰하기 위하여 EHA 내부 유압회로의 기능을 파악하고 동특성 모델을 유도하였으며 파일럿작동 체크밸브의 크래킹압력을 분석하여 개방 및 폐쇄특성을 예측하였으며 시뮬레이션을 통하여 분석된 결과를 검증하였다.
