A study on the anti-oxidative effect of electroacupuncture at Wijung (BL40) in rats (위중전침의 항산화 효과에 대한 실험적 연구)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to observe the anti-oxidative effects of electroacupuncture at Wijung (BL40) in rats. Methods : The author performed several experimental items including measurements of body weight, liver index, levels of albumin, total bilirubin, LDL-cholesterol, LDH, GOT and GPT in blood serum, and levels of SOD, glutathione, catalase, No and MDA (malondialdehyde) in liver, histological analysis of liver. Results : 1. In the BL40-EA group, liver index was decreased significantly compared to those of the control group, the holder group and the sham-EA group. 2. In the BL40-EA group, the albumin level was increased significantly compared to those of the control and holder group. LDL-cholesterol and GOT level were increased significantly compared to those of the control group and the holder group. 3. In the BL40-EA group, the SOD activity & the Catalase activity were decreased significantly compared to those of the control group and the holder group. 4. In the BL40-EA group, the density of liver tissue was more similarly maintained to the normal group compared to those of the control group and the holder group. Conclusion : These results suggest that electroacupuncture at BL40 has an antioxidant effect in human, and hereafter continuous study & clinical application is needed.

  • IN this study when drawing a square cup blank holder pressure necessary for flange wrinkling prevention was experimentally studied. The materials used in the experiment were SPCC and SUS304 and drawing ratio was 1.62∼2.0 Two case for lubrication condition were experimented. One was without lubricant and the other was with lubrication of high viscosity.

  • In the drawing of large size automotive panels, elastic deflection of die components is induced by the contact force between them. The deflection is nonuniform and locally distributed, and results in nonuniform material flow. In order to arrange such a nonuniform die gap, a correcting operation, so called die spotting, is inevitable, which requires trial and error works and consuming time. A prediction of the bending deflection prior to a try-out must be useful to reduce the die spotting time. In this study, drawing process of a front fender is simulated first. and the deflection of the blank holder is calculated from the contact force imposing on th blank holder. The balance block heights ensuring a uniform deflection are optimized by the analysis and design of experiments.

  • Lithography 장비의 국내 기술개발 수준은 선진사에 비해 많이 뒤져있다고 볼 수 있다. 최근 디스플레이 산업의 폭발적인 성장과 더불어 보다 확실하고 안정적인 생산을 위해서는 Lithography 장비의 국산화 기술개발이 시급한 상황이다. 현재 시중에 나와 있는 제품의 경우 Mask holder part의 과도한 중량으로 인해 교체의 어려움이 있고 그로 인해 장비의 자동화에 걸림돌이 되고 있는 상황이다. 이에 따라 Mask holder part의 교체를 양호하게 하기 위해 질량을 줄이고 처짐이 적게 발생할 수 있도록 형상을 최적화 시키는 것에 목적을 두고 실험계획법 중의 하나인 Taguchi method를 활용하여 Mask holder part의 형상을 최적화하였다.

  • Recentlry, High accuracy and precision are required in various industrial field. To obtain the surface roughness with range from several 10nm to several nm in inner cutting, we need a ultra-precision machine, single diamond tool, cutting condition, and the study of materials. It is very difficult to obtain the mirror surface without new technique. In this paper, Using the new tool holder as well as the ultra precision diamond cutting, we directly processed the inside of an aluminum alloy in order to obtain mirror surface. We have considered the length of tool holder when we design the tool holder. From experimental results, we believe that the new tool holder will improve inner cutting.

Comparison of Electromyographic Activities in the Neck Region According to the Screen Height and Document Holder Position (스크린 높이와 서류 고정대 위치에 따른 경부 주위 근육의 활성 정도 비교)

  • Using Video Display Terminals(VDT) in the working environment often causes health complaints in the neck and shoulder region. This study was conducted on ten subjects, in order to investigate the change of electromyographic activities in the neck region(sternocleidomastoid muscle, upper trapezius muscle and erector muscle of cervical spine)with regards to the screen height and document holder position. A total of six different conditions of screen height and document holder position were measured during subjects performed a text-entry task for a duration of 10min. The raw EMG signal was transmuted into the root mean square(RMS). Two-way ANOVA for repeated measures was used to analyse the effects of the two factors. As a result, changing the screen height and document holder position has no effect on electromyographic activities in the neck region.

  • The procedure on the design of a new tungsten cabide throw-away cutting tool system for deep grooving or cut-off machining is suggested. For relieving the maximum stress level at the corner radius of the blade holder, the finite element method is used. Also the pulling test device is proposed for measuring the holding force of the insert between the blade holder and the insert considering the materials in contact and configuration parameters of the holder.
