고대 의료시설의 유형 및 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Types and Characteristics of Ancient Medical Facilities)

  • This study is to understand the architectural types and characteristics of the medical facilities during ancient period. The study is based on the research of the medical and architectural history. The medical or healthcare facilities are influenced by their social, cultural and conceptual idea, especially how they think about 'disease', 'cure' and the 'medicine'. As the results of the examination of this study can be summarized as followings. Firstly, Ancient medical facilities are classified into four types according to the ideas of 'disease' and 'cure' ; 1) God oriented facility 2) health welfare facility 3) treatment oriented facility 4) practice & educational facility. Secondly, there are three typical types of the spatial characteristics what modern hospitals have ; 1) nursing ward 2) treatment ward 3) hostel or hospice. And they are all assembled around the courtyard in common. Thirdly, their architectures are not 'designed' but 'derived' plan by reasonable other building types, and transformed by medical function. Fourthly, a consideration of the surrounding circumstances is the most important point to make the medical health facilities during ancient period.

제호탕의 문헌 고찰 (A Bibliographical Study on Jehotang)

  • This study was performed to present new insights into the distinct aspects of Jehotang. Its history, significance, and effects were examined by evaluating the pertinent literature. In which the idea that Korean foods were original sources of medicine was well expressed. This study was also conducted with the anticipation that it may be useful in developing new foods and beverages based on modern science. References to the Jehotang were found in nine Korean medicine books, seven general books, and in dynastic records such as Bibyeonsa deungnok, Joseonwangjosilrok, Seungjeongwon Ilgi, etc; thus, it was likely a food since the early Korean age. Furthermore, it was discovered that in the Chosun era. Jehotang was not only drunk as a soft drink at the Royal Court in the summer, but was also used as a royal gifts to Cabinet members at the Tano festival on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar.

전통민속마을 소방방재 기본구상 - 아산 외암민속마을을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Basic Ideas for Fire Fighting Prevention System in Traditional Folk Village - Focused on Oeam Folk Village in Asan -)

  • This research has set up the fire protection and early suppression plan for Asan Oeam folk village which is composed of traditional wooden building instinct or complex. The results of this study are as follows. 1. The traditional wooden buildings require attentive considerations about the fire property of the Waga and the straw roofed house. Especially, as the straw roofed house has property that the transfer and development of the fire is fast. Therefore we studied on the transferring possibilities of the fire dangerous instinct through measuring the distance from of the eaves edge and trees in neighboring house. 2. This research proposes the tools for the priority protective building through consideration of fire risk and cultural priority because the fire prevention for all is impossible at the same time. 3. The most important thing is preserve the cultural identities of traditional folk village in establishing the fire hydrant and fire prevention facilities. Traditional folk village landscape should be considered.

젓가락 문화 및 연구에 관한 문제 (On several questions concerning the reaserch of Zhu culture)

  • The history and culture of using Zhu to help take food in China is a focal question in contemporary Chinese academic circle and leads to various conflicting ideas. This article, based on original historical documents, archaeological findings, cultural relic authentication, field investigation and the author's long-term thinking, comes up with a series of new conclusions. Firstly, Zhu emerged and developed along with cooked food and granular food served in bowls; secondly, there had been a period of using a single Zhu in China's history before two Zhus being used simultaneously; thirdly, the development of Zhu culture went through five historical periods, namely the former form, the interim form, the Jia form, the Zhu form and chopsticks form. In addition, the author gives out his unique viewpoints on some other relevant questions, including the Zhus which can be dated back to the Neolithic Age unearthed at Longqiuzhuang in Jiangsu province, Jiangzhai in Shanxi province etc, and the bronze utensils in the shape of Zhu unearthed in 1934 at Yin Dynasty ruins in Henan province.

『상한론(傷寒論)』의 사방(四方)·사신탕(四神湯) 중(中) 주조탕(朱鳥湯)의 부재(不在)에 관한 고찰 (A Study on the Absence of the Zhuniao decoction among the Four Directions Sishen decoction in 『Shanghan Lun』)

  • Among the ancient ideas of East Asia, there is a myth about the symbol of the Four Gods who commands all directions in the east, south, west, and north, and this is also reflected in the medical field. However, although there is discussion about Qinglong Decoction (青龍湯), Baihu Decoction (白虎湯) and Xuanwu Decoction (玄武湯) in the 『Shanghan Lun (傷寒論)』, there is no content focusing on Zhuniao decoction (朱鳥湯). Considering the consistent perspective of 『Shanghan Lun』, which recognizes the disease-syndrome and seeks prescriptions based on yin and yang thinking, this is very unusual. Therefore, in this study, it was revealed that the concept of 'Sishen Decoction (四神湯)' itself was a concept that emerged when the authors of 『Shanghan Lun』 established the 'eight-principles syndrome differentiation (八綱辨證)' system in their recognition and response to diseases-syndromes. Based on this, I considered the following possibilities: They were able to present Qinglong decoction, Baihu Decoction and Xuanwu decoction, as appropriate prescriptions for 'exterior cold excess syndrome (表寒實證)', 'interior heat deficiency syndrome (裏熱虛證)', and 'interior cold deficiency syndrome (裏熱實證)'. However, it is possible that the name of the prescription 'Zhuniao decoction' was not intentionally used, because it was not possible to provide an appropriate prescription for 'exterior cold excess syndrome (表熱實證)'.

  • In the study of library history in our country, the history of the Koryo Dynasty is very important. The Pisosong, the first library to be operated by the government, was founded in 995 .A. D. Although research about the Pisosong indicated that it was located outside the palace the author felt that further investigation was needed. Might not the library be located inside the palace\ulcorner For this reason, this study examined 1) the historical background of the Pisosong, 2) changes in its structure and organization, 3) its organization and personnel, 4) its function and, 5) its relation to the Pigak and the Osowon. The findings of this study may be summarized as follows: 1) Pisosong was changed and reorganized 15 times by the end of the Koryo Dynasty. 2) Its functions were keeping official documents and books, buying, exchanging, publishing, editing, revising books, writing official documents for the king and, as a place to discuss ideas and sometimes to deliver lectures to the king. 3) Osowon was another institute which was equivalent in its function and role to the Pisosong. 4) The Pisosong was in all probability located inside the palace because there were very important books in it. It is assumed that its location should be a secure place. Also this would enable the library to be managed more conveniently. 5) The Pigak in the Koryo Dynasty must have been located inside the palace as the Piko in the Sung Dynasty in China was.

북미 기록학의 동향과 전망 - 패러다임 변화를 중심으로 - (Archival Studies in North America: Current Developments and Trends)

  • 최근 전자기록의 등장과 포스트모더니즘의 확산은 기록학계에 기술적, 이론적 반향을 일으켰다. 이는 기록학 패러다임의 다원화와 커뮤니티 아카이브의 확산으로 이어지며 서구 기록학 전반에 걸쳐 지대한 영향을 미쳤다. 이러한 추세는 기록을 효율적 관리 대상으로, 기록관리의 기술적 문제를 강조하던 과거의 경향에서 벗어나, 기록과 기록관리의 의미를 사회적 산물로 이해할 것을 요구했다. 기록학 내부에서 행해진 이러한 패러다임의 변화는 기록의 범주를 광범위하게 확장시키고 다원화된 새로운 기록 전통을 정립해 나가고자 했다. 현재의 변화는 표면적이고 일시적인 기술적 문제에 한정된 것이 아닌 기록의 본질에 대한 심층적인 고찰의 결과물이라 할 수 있는데, 본고는 북미 기록학계가 추구하는 변화에 대해 문헌정보학과 역사학의 변화의 맥락 속에서 그 특징을 소개하고자 한다.

미술 공예 운동과 후기 인상주의 비교 예술론 연구 (A Study on the Comparative Art theory in the Arts and Crafts Movement and Post-impressionism)

  • The history of modern design begins with the arts and crafts movement(1860). The importance of the movement which decorated the outset gave birth to all the trends of thought which would occur under the circumstances within it, and is deemed that the ideas of the figures who played an active part in the movement might be ceaselessly continued through the works and ideas of their outstanding juniors or purpils as a doctrine of the philosophy of design. Therefore, it might be a prerequisite that the significance and spirit of the movement, and its developing process should be addressed in detail in the first place, but for the limited space of this paper, it was intended to desvribe only the part which can be interpreted in duplicate, linked with post-impressionism. The subject of this thesis is about a theory of art in which both ideas of the movement(1860) and the post-impressionism(1910) are comparatively reviewed. The genre, strictly speaking, is classified into the history of painting, and there is a gap fo about an half century between the issues which are comparatively discussed here. Both the movements began in a same environmental place of England, specially the movement at Milieu in England, and since there is a common point that the representative runners of each movement, William Morries(1834-1896) and Roger Fry(1866-1934), belong to a same race of Engol-Saxon, their ideas coincide with an aesthetic scholar, H. Tanie's aesthetic interpretation method and the more important is, as being elucidated in the comment and aesthetic theory for which Roger Fry gave effort and activity in his later life, that when he read intensively Ruskin's books, $\ulcorner$Modern Painters$\lrcorner$and$\ulcorner$Stones of Venice$\lrcorner$he had solidified his idea of post-impressionism while giving approval and criticism on them. After all, as in a co-painter, Windyham Lewis's reference of 'Roger Fry's Too Late Morris Movement', he, inspired by the actual activities of Morris, played activities similar to that of Morris in which exhibiting and selling some of his decorative art works signed by him and the works of post-impressionism through (1913-1920). Herein, that is wished to add a remark by this author is a point that the author of$\ulcorner$Vision and Design$\lrcorner$, Roger Fry, has not be made a subject of discussion specially in the Korean world of design. So, with this case of a thesis, it's wished that many latent awakened, design persons in korea give efforts to researching into Roger Fry so that their findings could be officially announced in the would. By the way, what is tried to describe in this paper from now on is to analyse and review the origin of post-impressionism which idea was first coined in the art world through the 1st and 2nd exhibitions of 'Manet and Post-impressionism' which were opened each at the Grafton Gallery in 1910 and 1913 by him. And also, it is intended to review it through the art journals and some references by critics of the day in which favorable criticism or severe criticism were ready to comment through the opinions and influences of the coworkers of Roger Fry, say, Clive Bell, Desmond Maccarthy, etc. and of himself as a main axis, on the art ideas of Gauguin, Gogh, Matisse, and Cezanne whose works were the typical ones participated and exhibited in those 1st and 2nd exhibitions.

맹자사상의 사회복지적 함의 (Mencius Thoughts on Social Welfare)

  • 본 논문은 사회복지 관점에서 바라 본 맹자에 대한 새로운 해석이다. 맹자에게서 찾아볼 수 있는 사회복지 사상은 현세적이고 인본주의적으로 이는 지금의 사회복지 이념에 근접해 있다. 사회복지는 18세기 산업혁명 이전부터 박애사업, 구제사업, 자선사업 혹은 사회사업 등의 이름으로 시작되었다. 복지란 사회 구성원의 기본적 욕구를 충족시키고 삶의 조건을 보장하는 것으로 궁극적으로는 사회 통합과 안녕을 달성하려는 사회적 활동의 총체를 뜻하기도 한다. 이는 사회구성원의 생활하는 삶의 상태이며 안정(Well bing)을 의미한다. 안정은 최소한의 물질적 욕구와 심리적 안정을 말한다. 맹자의 항산 항심론과 공정한 조세 제도, 정전제를 통한 경제제도의 실현은 사회복지 이념인 사회구성원의 안정적인 삶을 보장하고 행복을 증진 충족시키며, 궁극적으로는 사회 통합과 안녕을 달성하려는 사회적 활동의 총체와 뜻을 같이 한다. 맹자의 사상에는 백성을 중시한 민본사상이 내재해 있으며, 현대 자본주의 사회가 구조적으로 안고 있는 불안과 불평등의 문제를 왕도정치에서 적극적으로 해결하고자 했다. 맹자의 왕도정치는 물질적 안정을 기반으로 한 민본사상과 효제를 근본으로 하여 도덕성의 교육으로 백성들의 행복감을 증진시킬 수 있다는 것이다. 인간이 인간다운 생활을 영위하고 최소한의 물질적 안정과 심리적 안정을 사회복지제도와 복지정책의 주요 요소로 하여 최저생활 보장, 사회적 평등, 인간의 존엄성과 자유의 확대 및 생활의 질 향상 등이 사회복지의 주요 이념이다. 맹자의 사상 안에는 이와 같은 사회복지의 주요 이념이 모두 포괄되어 있다. 특히 맹자는 정치적으로는 위정자의 인정을 바탕으로 하고, 경제적으로는 주나라의 정전제를 시행하여, 윤리 도덕적으로 안정된 사회가 확립되기를 원했다. 그 사회는 바로 백성을 근본으로 하는 사회이며, 그러한 사회의 실현이 맹자가 원했던 이상사회였고, 맹자 사회복지사상의 목표라고 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문은 맹자의 사상 속에서 오늘날의 시대적 요구에 부응할 수 있는 사회복지 이념과 이를 현실에 적용할 수 있는 실천윤리로서의 규정을 살펴보았다. 또한 맹자의 사회복지 사상을 이해하기 위해 당시의 사회적 배경과 경제적 상황, 정치적 관념에 대해 고찰하였다. 이는 맹자의 사상 속에 본질적으로 내재되어 있는 사회복지적 요소를 심층적으로 고찰하는 계기가 될 것으로 판단된다.

슈왑의 생애와 과학교육 사상 (J. J. Schwab's life and His Ideas of Science Education)

  • 흔히 조셉 슈왑은 20세기 과학교육의 가장 중요한 키워드라 할 수 있는 과학탐구론의 주창자로 여겨진다. 본 연구는, 문헌조사의 방법에 기초하여, 슈왑의 과학교육자 및 교육학자로서의 그의 생애를 간략히 요약하고 또 주요 쟁점들을 중심으로 그의 과학 및 과학교육에 대한 사상들을 되돌아 보았다. 뛰어난 과학자로 출발하였다가 나중에 교육의 활동에 참여하였던 1950년까지의 다른 유명한 과학교육자들과 같이, 슈왑은 본래 유전학 전공의 과학자였으나 이후 교육개혁, 교육과정 연구, 과학교육에 집중하였다. 그의 학문적 관심은 다양한 분야에 걸쳐 폭넓은 것으로서, 생물학과 과학으로부터 역사, 철학, 교육에 걸치는 것이었다. 그의 과학탐구 이론의 핵심은 '과학을 과학답게 가르치는' 것이며 이를 이루는 가장 좋은 방법은 '과학을 탐구로 가르치는' 것이다. 하지만 그는 '과학을 탐구로 가르치기' 위해서는 '탐구로서의 과학'과 '탐구로서의 교수' 그리고 '안정적 탐구'와 '유동적 탐구'에 대한 섬세한 개념적 구분이 필요하다고 주장한다. 과학교육과 교육학 일반에 걸친 그의 많은 아이디어들은 자신의 과학탐구의 개념에 기초하고 있으며, 이는 과학의 다양성, 교과서, 교육과정, 교사의 역할 등 다른 그의 주요 개념들의 기초가 된다. 요약하자면, 슈왑은 과학교육의 합리적 개혁을 이끌었던 학자로 특징지어질 수 있으며, 여기서 합리적 개혁이란 과학교육의 본성과 그 지향점을 파악하고 이를 위하여 해당 학문 영역에 대한 구체적이고 실제적인 안내를 통해 실질적인 변화를 이끌고자 하였다는 의미이다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 일부 그의 주요 아이디어는 그 추종자들에 의한 상당한 왜곡을 지닌 채 후대에 전해지고 있다.
