경부고속도로와 88고속도로에 대한 트럭수송시의 진동 특성 측정 및 분석 연구 (Measurements and Analysis of Truck Transport Vibration Characteristics on the Gyungbu and 88 Highway)

  • Measurements of accelerometer levels transmitted from the floor in commercials truck shipments were carried out transportation of 300 Kg-load from Gyungbu Highway(Waegouan-Seoul) to 88 Highway(Gwangju-Daegu). Different characteristics were observed the values measured the vibration levels with directions in the two Highway's as a function of road condition and truck speed. The results showed that the vibration levels of the Gyungbu Highway is much higher than those of the 88 Highway. A following analysis on the obtained values was used to get the acceleration spectral density (ASD) and power spectral density (PSD). For the entire transit route, the results showed that the level of vibration to vertical direction was significant effects for damaging the products carried compared to other directions such as longitudinal and transverse. This paper provides an updated history of measured characteristics of vibration levels for highways using mainly in domestic area.

  • As a result of industrial advancement and land development, a number of highway slopes have been gradually formed and numerous problems related to their stability have been frequently caused. Generally, major factors for rock slope stability are lithology, slope inclination, slope height, degree of weathering, precipitation, condition of groundwater and so onl. Many complex factors are mostly involved in the collapse of rock slopes. In this study, a database for 94 collapsed Jungang highway slopes were set up using GIS program through literature search, site investigation, geological map and Korea tectonic province map. The analyses for the collapsed factor including sort of rock(by origin), tectonic province, highway direction, slope gradient and direction, degree of weathering, slope height were carried.

  • In the recent years, a rigid pavement composed of a flat concrete slab has ken constructed due to the desirable structural strength of concrete, durability and economy. However, despite of precise design and construction of concrete highway pavement, some sections of the 88 Olympic express highway, Jung-bu express highway, and Kyung-bu express highway, which have shown premature cracking, faulting, and pumping before the end of their intended service life, have already been viewed with great concerns by highway officials and engineers. Since environmental variations and traffic loads might be considered as major factors to cause pavement failure problems, the thermal load due to temperature variations between top and bottom surface of the concrete slab was highlighted to verify analytical behavior of concrete slab using the finite element method.

  • Korea Highway Corporation(KHC) began the ambitious KHC Test Road construction project from 1997. It is 7.7km long two-lane highway next to the mainline of Jungbu Inland Expressway. The KHC Test Road construction was completed at the December 2002. It is composed of twenty-five PCC test pavement sections. Section design parameters are (1) concrete slab thickness, (2) base type, (3) base thickness (12, 15, and 18cm), and (4) pavement type. Twenty-five PCC test pavement sections contain 1241 sensors to evaluate the behavior of pavement system under traffic load and environmental change. The behavior of pavement systems will be identified by the observation of sensor measurement and pavement distress survey from test pavement sections. The Test Road research outcome will validate the Korean Pavement Design Guide which is develop by on-going funded research from the Ministry of Construction and Transportation.

고속도로로부터의 거리에 따른 쥐의 기관내 납과 카드뮴 함량 (Content of Lead and Cadmium in Organs of Rats by the Distance from Highway)

  • The concentrations of lead and cadmium in each organ of the rats were measured by the different distance from the Kyungbu highway at Yangjae-dong, Seoul and control site, Dongguk university forest at Mt. Unack, Namyanghu-gun, Kyunggi from 1984 to 1986. The lead was concentrated in the bone with the least. The lead concentration in the bone of the rats inhabiting within 10m from the highway was determined more than 5 times of the control site and significantly this was inversely proportional to the distance from the highway. The cadmium, in the other hand, was specifically concentrated in the kidney as compared with other oragns i.e., the decreasing order of the kidney within 10m from the highway was more than 3 times of that of the control, although the concentration in the organs was not significantly related with the distance from the highway.

  • Precise highway traffic noise simulation and reduction require the accurate data for sound power levels emitted by vehicles, varied to road surface, traffic speed, vehicle types and makers, different from countries to countries. In this study, we have elaboratively measured domestic highway traffic noise and parameters affecting noise levels at the nearside carriageway edge. From numerical simulation using the measured results for highway traffic noise, we propose not only two correction factors to enhance the accuracy of highway traffic sound power estimation using ASJ Model-1998 but also its typical power spectrum according to road surface type. The measured and predicted highway traffic noise levels using the proposed sound power shows little difference within 1 dB.

ESG-oriented Governance Work System for Smart Highway Implementation

  • This study was promoted to prepare an ESG-oriented work system for Korea Expressway Corporation through sustainable highway construction, IOT-based smart highway preparation, and establishment of a broad convergence business governance system between multiple ministries and implementing entities. Based on the 2nd Basic Plan for Landscape Policy (2020~2024) and the Public Design Promotion Act (2018~2022), the study was conducted through the improvement of the highway design method to be applied for four years from 2021 to 2024, the changes in construction and social conditions related to expressways, the analysis of policies and plans to secure consistency with the 'Korean New Deal', and the analysis of the project performance and work promotion system that the Korea Expressway Corporation's business execution organization has promoted together with each government department. The results of this research are expected to help the Korea Expressway Corporation establish the 21st Innovation Plan for the phased construction of a "100-years landscape with people" and the preparation of a sustainable future highway environment creation project for the lives and safety of the people.

통합채산제하의 신규 고속도로 개통으로 인한 통행료수입 변동지표 개발 (Development of Revenue Change Index by New Highway Opening Under the Unified Revenue System)

  • 신규 고속도로가 개통될 때는 통상 신규 노선은 기존의 노선과 연계 또는 경합의 관계를 가지게 된다. 이러한 네트워크의 변화는 신규노선 주변의 다른 노선에서도 통행량 변화를 가져올 수 있으며, 이로인한 통행료 수입의 변화도 아울러 발생하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 통합채산제하에서의 신규 고속도로로 인해 발생하는 통행료 수입 변동에 대하여 고찰하고, 신규 사업이 재정 또는 민자사업으로 추진되었을 때 통행료 수입 변동이 공공기관이나 고속도로 민간사업자에게 의미하는 바를 제시하였다. 또한 통행료 수입 변동의 크기를 개별 사업 평가 및 다수 사업 간 평가에 반영할 수 있도록 지표화 하고자 하였다. 논문의 한계와 향후 연구과제에 대해서도 언급하였다.

국도 아스팔트 포장의 NHPCI(National Highway Pavement Condition Index)를 활용한 보수공법그룹 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study for Determining the Rehabilitation Method Group using NHPCI on Asphalt Concrete Pavement of National Highway)

  • PURPOSES : The PMS(Pavement Management System) has been utilized in order to efficiently allocate the limited budget for the maintenance of national highway system. In the PMS of national highway, surface pavement condition is evaluated by using the VI (Visual Index). However, the VI is determined only by considering the cracking rate (%) and rut depth (mm), which is not reflecting the IRI (International Roughness Index) that is known as an important factor of pavement performance. In this study, the NHPCI (National Highway Pavement Condition Index) which includes the cracking rate (%), rut depth (mm), and IRI (m/km) is suggested for determining the rehabilitation methods group. METHODS : First, the rehabilitation methods performed between 2008 and 2010 on the national highway is classified and then, NHPCI is determined for each rehabilitation method. Next, the NHPCI for each rehabilitation method is grouped through the interval estimation of the population mean and T-test analysis. RESULTS : According to NHPCI range, the rehabilitation methods are divided into four categories: Not Required, Preventive Maintenance, Overlay Treatment (with or without cutting), and Full-scale Treatment (i.e., reconstruction). CONCLUSIONS : Based on this study, it is recommended that the appropriate NHPCI range should be determined through the combination of the rehabilitation categories and Decision Procedure of Pavement Distress Condition Visual Index.

고속도로 연결로의 교통사고 추정모형 연구 (A Study of Accident Models for Highway Interchange Ramps)

  • 우리나라는 건설교통부에서 규정하는 지침에 의거하여 도로를 설계하는데 안전한 도로의 건설을 위해서는 사고와 연관된 기하구조요인의 정확한 이해와 분석을 통해 도로의 설계자가 도로 설계과정에 반영하도록 하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구의 목적은 고속도로 인터체인지에서 발생하는 교통사고를 실제로 수집이 가능한 도로기하구조 및 교통여건에 관한 자료만을 이용하여 신뢰성있게 분석할 수 있는 모형으로 정립하는데 있다. 본 연구에서는 고속도로상의 총 129개 트럼펫인터체인지와 35개 클로버인터체인지 상에서 연결로 형식별로 발생한 교통사고를 이용하여 다양한 교통사고요인들의 관계를 분석하기 위해 교통사고발생분포를 통계학적 방법을 통하여 분석한 바, 음이항분포가 가장 적합한 것으로 확인되었다. 따라서 트럼펫인터체인지의 연결로 형식별, 그리고 클로버인터체인지의 연결로 형식별로 교통사고를 분석할 수 있는 음이항회귀모형을 개발하였다. 본 모형은 고속도로를 계획 및 설계하는 초기단계에서 인터체인지의 유형과 인터체인지 연결로의 유형을 결정하는데 활용할 목적으로 개발되었으며, 본 모형의 적합성을 판단하는 여러 가지 통계학적 값들과 모형을 통해 예측한 값들, 그리고 실제로 현장에서 관측한 값들의 차이를 분석한 바 본 논문에서 구축한 모형이 이론적 및 실용적 측면에서 적합하게 구축되었음을 확인하였다.
