This paper propose the hardware IP of real-time face detection system for mobile devices and digital cameras required for high speed, smaller size and lower power. The proposed face detection system is robust against illumination changes, face size, and various face angles as the main cause of the face detection performance. Input image is transformed to LBP(Local Binary Pattern) image to obtain face characteristics robust against illumination changes, and detected the face using face feature data that was adopted to learn and generate in the various face angles using the Adaboost algorithm. The proposed face detection system can be detected maximum 36 faces at the input image size of QVGA($320{\times}240$), and designed by Verilog-HDL. Also, it was verified hardware implementation by using Virtex5 XC5VLX330 FPGA board and HD CMOS image sensor(CIS) for FPGA verification.

In the era of ultra high speed information communication technology represented by Smart phone and Tablet PC, the disable and the aged people came to be in a position of so-called 'relatively weak people' in the field of information communication due to inconvenience of use and difference in information acquisition and processing ability. Thus, a survey was conducted on Smart phone accessibility items based on previous studies of the disabled with crippled disorder, brain lesions, myelopathy and muscular disabilities having more inconvenience relatively in their use of smart phone due to upper limb dysfunctions. Especially, people with upper limb dysfunctions with relatively weak grip had big inconvenience in the conditions of uses requiring actions such as grabbing and rotating the devices, and due to the characteristics of touch screen input method of Smart phone, they had big inconvenience due to a lack of a guidance for keyboard in input. As a result of questionnaires by the type of disability, it turned out that severe myelopathy causes the most inconvenience in using smart phone.

Recently to introduce new services of ultra-high speed wireless access and systems beyond the 3rd generation mobile communication, 5 GHz band has been highly interested. As a way of getting the required frequency, it is considered that microwave relay bands below 6 GHz, which shows a slow decrease in demand and less cost-effectiveness, should be moved to other bands above 6 GHz. In this paper, as a tool for analyzing microwave link design and its service quality, the outage prediction based upon Vigants & Barnett's model is reviewed. To show outage and availability calculation, simulations are performed for the operating 4 GHz radio sites, and some results and features regarding frequency movement to 6.7 as well as 8 GHz are also discussed in terms of diversity techniques, bit error rate, and availability As the results, it is confirmed that only the diversity techniques of space or space and frequency can satisfy the annual objective of availability irrespective of frequency movement.

This paper presents two different approaches for channel estimation of IMT-2000 pilot symbol-assisted W-CDMA reverse link over Rayleigh fading channels of one and two paths. By obtaining BER performance through computer simulations, the proposed algorithms of 2-point second-order interpolation and IDD BWMA are compared with the performance of existing interpolation and adaptive algorithms. The BER performance of the proposed algorithms is superior to WMSA, linear and second-order Gaussian interpolation, LMS, and RLS algorithm in fast fading channels. In particular, the BER performance of the IDD BWMA algorithm is nearly insensitive for Doppler frequency within simulation range $E_b/N_0$ = 28 dB. The two proposed algorithms also have relatively simple structure and similar processing delay in comparison to the existing algorithms. Therefore, these algorithms are more suitable for high-speed mobile communication environments.

The Ubiquitous Society is being attained gradually as it got through the step of super-high speed internet mobile and digital convergence. Now, it is being variously spread to no only the little ordinaries of communication but also fields of economy and industry. Specially, RFID and Navigation are being issued at home and foreign. These are prospected to give assistances that it bring along the competitive power of nation. But inflection range of RFID and Navigation is localized in the most sin lest. This paper proposes system to reflect the individual and special quality using RFID and Navigation and to fit easily changing environment. And we studied to use what kinds of information in the special environment. We used Fuzzy Logie and TSP for making the intelligent navigation system with more information.

Data communications networks at sea can be modelled by multi-layered networks with traditional carriers (RF, satellites), and BWA (wireless LAN, WiBro, LTE), which partially makes it possible the high speed communication services (WWW, VoIP) at sea. In this paper, a novel routing scheme (CPR) is proposed which selects an optimal carrier for each hop in routes based on carrier preferences (CP). The carrier preferences are measured proactively depending on the feasibility of transmission characteristics (transmission rate, cost, and latency time) of the carriers for each application. Performance was compared with that of the OMH-MW (Optimal Medium per Hop based on Max-Win) routing scheme.

Electronic transactions have been increasing with the development of the high-speed Internet and wireless communication. However, in recent years financial corporations and mobile carriers were attacked by hackers. And large numbers of privacy information have been leaked. In particular, in the case of credit card information can be misused in the online transaction, and the damage of this given to cardholder. To prevent these problems, it has been proposed to use a virtual card number instead of the actual card number. But it has security vulnerability and requires additional security infrastructure. In this paper, we analyzed the proposed virtual card number schemes. and we propose a new virtual credit card number scheme. In the newly proposed scheme, cardholder generates a key pair (public key/private key) and pre-register public key to the issuer. then, cardholder can pay no additional security infrastructure while still efficiently satisfy the security requirements.

WAVE(Wireless Access in Vehicular Environments) system is wireless communication technology that vehicle sends and receives packets between vehicles or between vehicles and infrastructure in a high-speed mobile environment. In this study, we have designed and implemented a CRL(Certificate Revocation List) download protocol that is used to verify certificate revocation status of the other party when the vehicles communicate with WAVE system. This protocol operates over UDP. And to support security features, also, ECDSA(Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) is used for mutual authentication and ECIES(Elliptic Curve Integrated Encryption Scheme) is used to ensure the confidentiality. Moreover, this protocol ensures the integrity of data by adding MAC(Message Authentication Code) to the end of packet and support the error and flow control mechanisms.
Mobile real-time systems with limited system resources and a limited power source need to fully utilize the system resources when the workload is heavy and reduce energy consumption when the workload is light. EDZL (Earliest Deadline until Zero Laxity), a multiprocessor real-time scheduling algorithm, can provide high system utilization, but little work has been done aimed at reducing its energy consumption. This paper tackles the problem of DVFS (Dynamic Voltage/Frequency Scaling) in EDZL scheduling. It proposes a technique to compute a uniform speed on full-chip DVFS platforms and individual speeds of tasks on per-core DVFS platforms. This technique, which is based on the EDZL schedulability test, is a simple but effective one for determining the speeds of tasks offline. We also show through simulation that the proposed technique is useful in reducing energy consumption.
With the progress in high speed internet networks, mobile devices and social networking, the eco-system of the media has shifted from that where the flow of content was one-way from the producer to the consumer. A so-called 'prosumer' culture has taken root where the consumer himself produces media content. Along with these trends, various video-sharing platforms such as youtube has a method of allocating advertisement profit to the content producer, offering a win-win platform for content pro-sumers. This allows the channels to attract several tens of millions of subscribers and raise an annual income of over 10 billion Won, marking a revolutionary change in the content industry. This paper seeks to analyze video distribution channels and short-form media content that are showing continuous growth to identify new markets where animated content can make progress in an era of online video media platforms, as well as provide a future direction for small teams of creators of animated films to survive and thrive in this environment.
