Seamless 이동 멀티미디어 서비스를 위한 핸드오버 기법 (A Hand-over Scheme for Seamless Mobile Multimedia Communication Services)

  • The next generation mobile multimedia network is expected to provide higher-rate multimedia communication services to versatile mobile terminals moving in even higher speed. For achieving more efficient reusability of scarce radio resources and thereby accommodating more user population in this network, the smaller cell such as micro or pico cell structure is used. More efficient and faster hand-over schemes are necessary to prevent the degradation of QoS of multimedia services caused by hand-over processing delay and packet loss during frequent hand-over. This paper proposes a faster and more effective hand-over scheme for high-rate multimedia services in the future mobile multimedia networks. by utilizing the GPS information on the position of the mobile terminal and its estimated moving directions. The simulation results show that our proposed method provides a better performance than the conventional method.

  • The informatization of Korea is accompanied by the great growth of new strategic export industry, as of mobile phone or semiconductor LCD. Speaking to the situation of mobile phone, Motorola swept over the American domestic market in the beginning of 1990s, digital mobile communication as CDMA developed swiftly in Korea. In 1996, the first year's CDMA users of Samsung were merely one million, nevertheless, the world's sales in the first half of this year is up to 92 million. In this p aper I design 3D application based on J2ME and implement a freely removable 3D object which happened in a 3D scen e by receiving the keyboard response of mobile device with WTK (Wireless ToolKit) simulator. It contains benefits of improvement of relative speed and high-level functionality such as scene graph, keyframe animation, etc.

  • 현대에는 언제 어디서나 자신이 원하는 데이터를 빠르게 접할 수 있는 서비스가 요구되고 있고 이것을 반영하듯이 많은 시스템들이 개발되었다 특히 HSDPA (High Speed DATA Packet Access)의 경우 최대 14.4Mbps의 데이터 수율을 가져 3세대 이동통신으로 각광을 받고 있다. 하지만 HSDPA의 경우도 지상망 시스템인 관계로 LOS (Line of Sight)가 보장되지 못해 이것은 다중 페이딩에 의한 데이터 수율의 악화로 나타난다. 이러한 문제는 HAPS(High Altitude Platform Station)를 사용하게 되며 해결이 된다. HAPS는 비행선을 이용한 시스템으로 LOS의 보장뿐만 아니라 기존의 지상망 이동통신에 접목해 좀 더 높은 성능을 낼 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 HAPS 시스템을 HSDPA 시스템과 결합한 시스템 모델을 제안하고 시뮬레이션을 통해 그 성능을 분석하고 가능성을 살펴본다.

모바일 3D 게임 엔진을 위한 효율적인 스킨드 메시 처리 (An Efficient Skinned-Mesh Process For Mobile 3D Game Engine)

  • 기존에는 모바일 표준 3D 그래픽 API(C언어 기반)인 OpenGL-ES를 사용하여 모바일 3D 게임 엔진을 제작해, 핸드폰에 애플리케이션을 작동시켰으나, 저수준(Low-Level)의 다양한 기능만 제공함으로써, 다양한 콘텐츠 제작 및 콘텐츠 호환성에 제약이 많았다. 이에 본 논문에서는 OpenGL-ES보다 더욱더 다양한 고수준(High-Level)의 API를 제공하면서도 GSM 폰을 중심으로 J2ME상에서 자바환경에 최적화된 모바일 표준 3D API(Java언어 기반)인 JSR-184로 모바일 3D 게임 엔진을 제작한다. 또한, 스킨드 메시(Skinned-Mesh) 형태를 가지는 3D 모델의 처리속도를 향상시키는 방법을 제시하고, 실험 결과로 엔진의 성능을 증명해 보인다.

  • AR (Augmented Reality) is a technology that provides virtual content to the real world and provides additional information to objects in real-time through 3D content. In the past, a high-performance device was required to experience AR, but it was possible to implement AR more easily by improving mobile performance and mounting various sensors such as ToF (Time-of-Flight). Also, the importance of mobile augmented reality is growing with the commercialization of high-speed wireless Internet such as 5G. Thus, this paper proposes a system that can provide AR services via GNN (Graph Neural Network) using cameras and sensors on mobile devices. ToF of mobile devices is used to capture depth maps. A 3D point cloud was created using RGB images to distinguish specific colors of objects. Point clouds created with RGB images and Depth Map perform downsampling for smooth communication between mobile and server. Point clouds sent to the server are used for 3D object detection. The detection process determines the class of objects and uses one point in the 3D bounding box as an anchor point. AR contents are provided through app and web through class and anchor of the detected object.

  • A necessity of remote control robots or various searching robots etc. that accomplish works given instead of human under long distance and extreme environment such as volcano, universe, deep-sea exploration and nuclear power plant etc. is increasing, and so the development and the research regarding these mobile robots are actively progressing. The wheel mobile robot or the track mobile robot have a sufficient energy efficiency under this en, but also have a lot of limits to accomplish works given which are caused from the restriction of mobile ability. Therefore, recently many researches for the walking robot with superior mobility and energy efficiency on the terrain, which is uneven or where obstacles, inclination and stairways exist, have been doing. The research for these walking robots is separated into fields of mechanism and control system, gait research, circumference environment and system condition recognition etc. greatly. It is a research field that the gait research among these is the centralist in actual implementation of walking robot unlike different mobile robots. A research field for gait of walking robot is classified into two parts according to the nature of the stability and the walking speed, static gait or dynamic gait. While the speed of a static gait is lower than that of a dynamic gait, a static gait which moves the robot to maintain a static stability guarantees a superior stability relatively. A dynamic gait, which make the robot walk controlling the instability caused by the gravity during the two leg supporting period and so maintaining the stability of the robot body spontaneously, is suitable for high speed walking but has a relatively low stability and a difficulty in implementation compared with a static gait. The quadruped walking robot has a strong point that can embody these gaits together. In this research, we will develope an autonomous quadruped robot with an asaptibility to the environment by selectry appropriate gait, element such as duty factor, stride, trajectory, etc.

기동전단 운용에 따른 한국 해군의 해상 기동군수지원체계 발전 방향 (The direction of the development of the R.O.K. Navy's maritime mobile logistics support systems based on the ROKN maritime task flotilla)

  • Established on February 1st, 2010, The ROKN maritime task flotilla has a goal to successfully cope with North Korea and other potential threats. Unlike precedents of its kind, The ROKN maritime task flotilla is expected to concentrate more an far-sea strategies than coastal strategies. In such circumstances however, the existing maritime logistics systems have limitations upon which to utterly support the operation conception of the ROKN maritime task flotilla seven. To ensure it's efficiency, transformation of the systems is prerequisite. The purpose of this study is to deduce an adequate maritime logistics system for the ROKN maritime task flotilla by evaluating the limitation of the current system and foreseeing its performance necessary abilities to operate in the future. In order to do this, the study presented problems and the direction of development on the structural and behavioral sides. Fist, regarding problems in the structure of maritime logistics system, the investigation pronounced the need of improvement in mobile logistics support ability and its speed. In addition, for the behavioral side, the need of improvement in logistics cooperation system and self-maintenance ability was affirmed. For the development of an adequate maritime logistics system, the study suggested the amelioration in the operation of an adequate mobile logistics support platform and the speed of the logistics using high-speed transportation such as planes for the structural side. Moreover, for the behavioral side, it recommended th enhancement of logistics cooperation system including the nations that already imported th weapon system, amelioration of self-maintenance ability, and necessity to operate mobile maintenance group.

차세대 이동통신 시스템을 위한 PAPR 감소와 대역 내 왜곡보정 기법에 대한 연구 (A Study on the PAPR Reduction and In-Band Distortion Compensation Schemes for Next Generation Mobile Communication Systems)

  • 차세대 이동통신 시스템은 다양한 서비스를 지원하기 위해 다양한 분야에서 연구되며 응용되고 있다. 차세대 이동통신 시스템 연구에 있어 최대 관심은 다양한 통신시스템의 통합과 빠른 데이터 전송을 이용한 다양한 서비스의 제공이다. 통신시스템의 통합은 Multi Standard Modem을 이용하여 연구되고 있으며, 다양한 서비스 제공을 위한 빠른 데이터 전송은 OFDM(Othogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) 방식이 적용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 차세대 이동통신을 위한 Multi Standard Modem을 이용하여 PAPR(Peak-to-Average Power Ratio)을 감소시키기 위한 방법을 제안하고, PAPR 감소 중 발생되는 문제점인 대역 내 왜곡을 EVM(Error Vector Magnitude)을 이용하여 보정하는 기법을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 제안한 방법을 이용하여 차세대 이동통신 시스템의 PAPR 감소 효율, CCDF(Complementary Cumulative Distribution Function)와 BER(Bit Error Rate) 성능을 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석했다. 시뮬레이션 결과 차세대 이동통신 시스템의 성능이 개선됨을 알 수 있다.

와이브로 망에서 지수평활법을 이용한 핸드오버 지연 단축 기법 (Low-Latency Handover Scheme Using Exponential Smoothing Method in WiBro Networks)

  • 초고속 인터넷 서비스와 이동 통신의 발달, 그리고 Mobile Device 보급의 증가는 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 기술의 발전을 촉진시키는 계기가 되었다. 와이브로 (WiBro, Wireless Broadband Internet) 시스템은 이동 중에도 무선 랜 (Wireless LAN) 보다 넓은 서비스 지원 영역에서 고속의 멀티미디어 서비스를 제공 받을 수 있는 MBWA(Mobile Broadband Wireless Access)기술이며, IP 기반의 백본 망(Backbone Network)로 구성된다. 이와 같은 무선 이동 통신 환경에서는 와이브로 시스템의 Layer 2(MAC Layer, Medium Access Control Layer)에서의 이동성 지원 기술뿐만 아니라 Layer 3(Network Layer)에서의 이동성 지원 프로토콜이 필요하며, 사용자가 이동 중에도 원활한 서비스를 제공받기 위해서는 핸드오버(Handovcr)의 지연 시간을 최소화 시켜야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IPv4 기반의 와이브로 망에서의 핸드오버 지연 단축 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법을 이동 단말(MS, Mobile Station)이 수신하는 신호 강도의 예측 값을 바탕으로 크로스 레이어 (Cross-Layer)기반의 고속 핸드오버 기법 (Fast Handover Scheme)을 적용하며, 지수평활법 (Exponential Smoothing Method)을 사용하여 예측 값을 계산한다. 모의 실험을 통해 기존의 방법과 제안된 방법을 비교, 분석하여 핸드오버 지연 시간의 단축을 증명한다.

  • The MDDI(Mobile Digital Display Interface) standard is an optimized high-speed serial interconnection technology developed by Qualcomm and supports the VESA(Video Electronics Standard Association). It increases reliability and reduces power consumption in clamshell phones by decreasing the number of wires to interconnect with the LCD display. In this paper, the MDDI host is designed using VHDL and implemented on FPGA. We demonstrates that the MDDI host is connected with S3CA460 LCD controller is designed by Samsung Electronics Co. and display a steal image to the LCD.
