고강도콘크리트 충전 각형강관기둥의 내력평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Strength Evaluation of Rectangular Steel Tubular Columns Infilled with High Strength Concrete)

  • 두께가 얇은 강관을 사용한 CFT기둥은 강관의 국부좌굴에 대한 구속효과로 내력상승을 기대할 수 있으므로 폭두께비가 작은 강관 CFT기둥에 비해 경제성을 확보할 수 있다. 본 논문의 목적은 각형 CFT기둥에 대한 기존 설계식의 타당성을 입증하고, 내력 증대에 따른 강관 폭두께비의 사용성 한계를 확인하고자 하였다. 실험의 주요변수로는 강관의 폭두께비, 콘크리트 각 주의 높이 및 콘크리트 충전 유무로 하였다. 실험결과, 고강도 콘크리트를 충전한 박판의 각형강관기둥에서 충전콘크리트의 압축내력에 대한 강관의 구속효과가 크게 나타났으며, 비선형 해석에 따르면, 실험결과에 의한 내력은 전체 CFT단주 실험체에서 해석값보다 다소 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

철근 최소 연신율 규격에 대한 평가 (Evaluation of Minimum Extensibility Standard Requirements for Steel Reinforcement)

  • 효율적인 철근콘크리트 구조물을 설계 시공하기 위하여, 최근 들어 고강도 철근에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 고강도 철근은 일반강도 철근에 비하여 연신 능력이 낮은 것이 일반적이므로, 기존의 최소 연신율규격을 만족하지 못할 가능성이 있다. 또한 국내외 철근 규격의 최소 연신율 규정과 표점 거리 규정은 각 규격마다 상이하여, 동일한 철근이라도 적용하는 규격에 따라 적합 여부가 다르게 평가된다. 따라서 각 철근 규격을 비교 검토하고, 국내의 철근 규격 KS D 3504의 규정이 합리적인지 검토할 필요가 있다. 이 연구에서는 한국, 미국, 일본, 유럽, ISO 등 국내외 철근 규격의 최소 연신율 규정과 표점 거리 규정을 비교 분석하고, 철근 인장시험을 통하여 규격의 엄격성을 평가하였다. 그 결과, 국내 철근 규격인 KS D 3504가 가장 엄격한 것으로 평가되었다. 이 엄격성 비교 결과를 바탕으로 KS D 3504의 일반용 철근 규격의 최소 연신율 규정을 수정할 것을 제안하였으며, 내진용 철근 규격을 제안하였다.

Development and Application of CFT without Fire Protection using High Performance Steel and Concrete

  • Concrete filled tube (CFT) columns, which consist of a steel tube filled with concrete, combine the benefits of the two materials. The steel tube provides a confining pressure to the concrete, while the local buckling of steel plate can be prevented by the concrete core. CFT columns also have a high fire resistance due to the heat storage effect of concrete under fire. For this reason, it is possible to develop CFT columns without fire protection measures. CFT columns without fire protection have many advantages, including quality control, cost reduction, better space efficiency and a shorter construction period. Due to these advantages, studies on the development of CFT columns without fire protection measures have been performed. However, CFT columns lose their bearing capacity under fire because the steel tube is exposed to the outside. As a result, the structure is collapsed, causing significant damage. In this research, we made a CFT column using high strength concrete (100 MPa) and high strength steel (800 MPa). We use steel fiber and nylon fiber with concrete to provide fire resistance. We perform the fresh concrete experiment and investigate the fire resistance of the CFT column (${\Box}400{\times}400{\times}15{\times}3000mm$) under loading. To investigate the effect of steel fiber on increasing fire resistance, we compare the fire resistance time according to the steel fiber. Through the test, it was found that the CFT specimen with steel fiber had better fire resistance performance than other cases.

고장력강의 구멍 확장 실험을 이용한 자동차부품 설계연구 (A Study of Automobile Product Design using Hole Expansion Testing of High Strength Steels)

  • Current need of weight reduction in automotive part increases the application for high strength steel (HSS). The various types of high strength steels have been used to produce chassis part, control arms and trailing arms for weight reduction and increasing of fatigue durability such as dual phase steel (DP) and ferrite bainite steel (FB). But, DP and FB steels have proven to show inferiority in durability as well as press formability. Edge cracking occurred often in flange forming and hole expansion processes is the major failure encountered. This paper discussed the behavior of edge stretchability of high strength steel of DP and FB steels. Experimental works have been conducted to study the effect of punch clearance and burr direction on hole expansion ratio (HER). Also finite element simulation (FEM) has been preformed to clarify the mechanism of flange crack and support the experimental results on HER of DP and FB steels. It was simulated the whole process of blanking process following by hole expansion process and ductile fracture criterion named the modified Cockcroft-Latham model which was used to capture the fracture initiation. From the hole expansion tests and FEM simulation studies it was concluded that ferrite bainite steel showed better stretch-flangeability than dual phase steel. It was attributed to the lower work hardening rate of ferrite bainite steel than dual phase steel at the sheared edge.

고강도강재의 효율적 사용을 위한 초고층건물의 최적설계기법 (Structural Optimization of High-rise Buildings using High-strength Steels)

  • 최근 국내에서 400~600MPa급의 구조용 고강도강재가 생산되고 있으며, 큰 하중을 부담해야 하는 초고층건물에는 고강도강재의 사용이 효과적일 것으로 예상되나, 고강도강재의 적절한 사용법 및 적용사례 부족으로 인해 고강도강재는 일부 건축물에서 제한적으로 사용되고 있다. 그럼으로 본 연구에서는 고강도강재를 초고층건물에 이용할 수 있는 방법으로 최적화기법을 이용한 초고층건물 구조비용 최적설계기법을 개발하였다. 개발된 최적설계법은 강재의 강종별 재료 가격을 고려하며 강재의 강도와 크기를 결정함으로서 구조비용을 최소화 시킬 수 있다. 제안된 구조비용 최적설계법을 6개의 실제 초고층건물 구조설계에 적용하였으며, 경험에 의존한 구조 설계를 병행하여 개발된 최적설계법의 효율성과 적용성을 평가하였다. 개발된 초고층건물 구조비용 최적화기법은 경험에 의존한 설계에 비해 7~21%정도의 구조비용을 절감할 수 있었다. 또한, 제안된 최적설계법의 적용결과로서 얻어진 강재의 강도분포와 강종별 재료비용의 분석을 통해서 고강도강재를 초고층건물에 효과적으로 적용하기 위한 간략한 가이드라인을 제시하였다.

자동차용 핫스탬핑 고강도강 판재의 겹치기 레이저용접 (Lap joint Laser Welding of Hot Stamped Ultra High Strength Steel for Automotive Application)

  • Recently ultra high strength steels(UHSS) has been widely applied to the structural or safety components in the automotive industry. Specially, hot stamping boron steel 22MnB5 has shown the crash-resistant characteristics when applying to bumpers and pillars. Lap joint Laser welding of the hot stamped and die quenched sheets of Boron steel was carried out using 3kW Nd/YAG laser. The appropriate Lap joint laser welding conditions were founded separately for four lap joint combinations. The lower sheest is a hot stamped sheet in common and the upper sheet is selected among the hot stamped steel and high strength steels such as SPCC, 370MPa, and 590MPa grade high strength steels. Cross bead sections and local hardening and softening were observed as well as tensile-shear test results.

  • The simulation program is developed to get the target strip crown of high strength steel in the continuous hot strip rolling. The developed program consists of several sub-program, which contains work roll shifting pattern, roll wear profile, roll thermal expanded profile and strip profile. Also, the variation of strip profile is investigated according to roll deflection and flattening. The results are compared with the values observed from the actual hot rolling of high strength steel. And effect of bender force on the strip profile is studied. The strip crown is shown to decrease with increasing bender force.

  • This paper aims to ensure describe the a spring-back prevention technique for improving shape fixability by using an ultra-high strength steel sheet with 980 MPa to develop a lightweight seat rail parts. Ultra-high strength steel gives a potential for considerable weight reduction and a cost-effective way to produce energy efficient vehicles. The influence of a spring-back of seat rail parts on the shape fixability in forming processes was investigated to be solved by an adjustment of the appropriate tool design and process parameters. The computed results for improving shape fixability were in good agreement with the experimental results.

  • Quenchable boron steel is a new type of high strength steel to reduce the weight of automobiles and maintain the safety conditions. Quenchable blanks can be hot-stamped and hardened in a water-cooled tool to achieve high strength. In this paper, new alloy for hot stamping is designed based on requirement of mechanical properties and two types of surface coating are investigated in viewpoints of oxidization and exfoliation. An automotive part of center pillar is manufactured by hot-stamping using Al-Si coated sheet. The performance of developed part is compared by static compression test and side impact crash test.

  • The die development of the high-strength steel sheet has big difference on the formability compared with the general panels. Especially, the springback after stamping of the high-strength steel sheets shows big problem. In this study, for the die development of the high-strength steel sheets, write about examples reducing the lead time and the expense of the die development after CAD modification with the result of the springback analysis after finding the best design planning as several times stamping analysis.
