고분해능 ICP-MS를 이용한 반도체용 고순도 황산 분석 (Analysis of Ultra Pure Sulfuric Acid for Semiconductor Using High Resolution ICP-MS)

  • Ultra trace metal impurities of high-purity sulfuric acid for semiconductor process have been determined in the concentration of lower than ppb (ng/g) level using high resolution inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (HR-ICP-MS).The acid samples were evaporated and concentrated by the factor of 20. No clement in the acids exceeded 1ppb level and most of the clements were determined below 10ppt (pg/g). Elements without spectral interference in mass spectrum, such as In, V, Mn, etc, were determined in the concentration of below 1 ppt level The recoveries in the range of 72% to 127.2% for 0.5 ppb spiked sample were obtained.

고속 고분해 테라헤르츠 시간영역 분광기 (High-Speed High-Resolution Terahertz Time-Domain Spectrometer)

  • 본 논문에서 비동시성 광샘플링(asynchronous optical sampling; AOS) 방식을 이용하는 고속 고분해 테라헤르츠 시간영역 분광(terahertz time domain spectroscopy; THz-TDS)을 시연한다. 모터로 구동되는 선형 스테이지를 사용하지 않고, 약간 다른 반복 주파수를 갖는 두 대의 펨토초 레이저를 각각 테라헤르츠파 발생과 검출에 사용하여 고속으로 10 ns의 시간축 상의 신호를 획득하고 fast Fourier transformation(FFT)을 통하여 100 MHz의 주파수 분해능을 갖는 고분해 분광을 구현한다. Cross-correlation 방법에 의해 시간 분해능은 278 fs으로 측정되었다. 또한, 본 분광기를 이용하여 수증기의 투과 스펙트럼을 측정하고 흡수선들을 분석하였다.

  • 원격탐지를 목적으로 하는 레이다 시스템에서는 일반적으로 도플러 필터뱅크를 적용하여 목표물 반사 신호들의 스펙트럼을 분석함으로서 반사 신호의 크기 및 속도정보 등을 얻게 된다. 이러한 스펙트럼 추정방법은 오래 전부터 널리 이용되고 있는 FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) 기법을 이용한 것으로 대부분의 레이다 시스템에서 채택하고 있는 방식이다. 그러나 레이다 시스템에서의 목표물 반사 신호 획득시간이 현저히 짧은 경우, 즉 고속으로 이동하는 항공기용 시스템이나 매우 빠른 목표물들의 즉각적인 탐지가 목적인 시스템에서는 기존 FFT 스펙트럼 추정방식으로는 높은 도플러 주파수 해상도를 얻을 수 없기 때문에 정확도가 현저히 떨어질 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 해상도 문제가 발생하지 않는 파라메터 추정방식인 AR 스펙트럼 추정 방법에 대하여 고찰하였다.

Chromosomal Microarray Testing in 42 Korean Patients with Unexplained Developmental Delay, Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Multiple Congenital Anomalies

  • Chromosomal microarray (CMA) is a high-resolution, high-throughput method of identifying submicroscopic genomic copy number variations (CNVs). CMA has been established as the first-line diagnostic test for individuals with developmental delay (DD), intellectual disability (ID), autism spectrum disorders (ASDs), and multiple congenital anomalies (MCAs). CMA analysis was performed in 42 Korean patients who had been diagnosed with unexplained DD, ID, ASDs, and MCAs. Clinically relevant CNVs were discovered in 28 patients. Variants of unknown significance were detected in 13 patients. The diagnostic yield was high (66.7%). CMA is a superior diagnostic tool compared with conventional karyotyping and fluorescent in situ hybridization.

파향스펙트럼 추정법의 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on the Methods Estimating Wave Directional Spectrum)

  • 불규칙 파랑의 파향스펙트럼 추정법에 대하여 고찰하였다. 파향스펙트럼 추정이론의 근간은 Longuet-Higgins et al.(1963)이 제시한 방법으로 현재 많이 이용되고 있으나 추정정도가 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 파향스펙트럼을 [0, 2$\pi$]에서의 확률밀도함수로 간주하고 Entropy 법칙을 응용한 Kobune et al.(1986)의 최대 엔트로피법 (MEM)은 Longuet-Higgins et al.의 방법 (LHM)에 비해 파향의 분석능이 매우 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 특히 MEM은 파향스펙트럼이 Delta 함수민 경과에는 그 파향스펙트럼을 정확하게 추정하며, 단봉형 스펙트럼의 경과에도 Mitsuyasu의 방향분산계수(spreading coefficient)가 5 이상이면 정도가 매우 좋은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 쌍봉형 파향스펙트럼의 경과에는 두 peak를 이루는 파향의 각도차가 클수록 분해능이 양호하며, peak의 첨예도(peakedness)가 큰 쪽이 평활화(smoothing)되어 이 부분의 에너지 일부가 첨예도가 작은 peak쪽으로 이동하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 한편 LHM은 쌍봉형의 경과에도 단봉형으로 추정하는 경향이 뚜렷하며, 계산시간이 빠른 점을 제외하면 MEM에 비해 분해능이 매우 뒤떨어지는 방법이라 할 수 있다.

Object Detection from High Resolution Satellite Image by Using Genetic Algorithms

  • Many researchers conducted the effort for improving the classification accuracy of satellite image. Most of the study has used optical spectrum information of each pixel for image classification. By applying this method for high resolution satellite image, number of class becomes increase. This situation is remarkable for house, because the roof of house has variety of many colors. Even if the classification is carried out for many classes, roof color information of each house is not necessary. Most of the case, we need the information that object is house or not. In this study, we propose the method for detecting the object by using Genetic Algorithms (GA). Aircraft was selected as object. It is easy for this object to detect in the airport. An aircraft was taken as a template. Object image was taken from QuickBird. Target image includes an aircraft and Haneda Airport. Chromosome has four or five parameters which are composed of number of template, position (x,y), rotation angle, rate of enlarge. Good results were obtained in the experiment.

  • Nowadays, evaluation of amounts and distributions of radioactive waste is an important preparatory step in the process of nuclear reactor decommissioning. For tentative estimation of radioactive waste, a cell-based rigorous 2 step (R2S) method usually is used; however, a poor resolution caused by the averaged flux and spectrum in a cell is still a great challenge because of leading to underestimated or overestimated results. To overcome the poor resolution, several systems were introduced. Neither system, however, provides any function for evaluation of radioactive waste amount and distribution. Thus, it is additionally required to classify radioactive waste based on the results of activation calculation. In this study, the advanced R2S (AR2S) system was developed. To verify the performance of the system, its results for a verification problem were compared with those of the cell-based R2S method. The results showed good agreement, which is to say, within 2.0% relative error. Also, several characteristics of fine/coarse mesh were analyzed. To demonstrate the performance of the AR2S system, the radioactive waste from the Japan Power Demonstration Reactor (JPDR) was estimated, and the result indicated a high-resolution distribution. Therefore, it is expected that the AR2S system will prove useful for precise evaluation of radioactive waste.

  • Two-dimensional wavelet spectrum analysis is applied to Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR) images from the NOAA meteorological satellites in the area around Japan to unfold the horizontal structure of SST into space and scale (wavenumber), which can yield localized space-wavenumber information. The results reveal significantly new and previously unexplored insights on horizontal structure of sea surface temperature, which cannot be revealed using a traditional Fourier transform approach.

  • This paper proposed a preprocessing algorithm which is named Automatic Tracking Window (ATW), which eliminates the effects of noises at spatial signals and spurious peaks at high-resolution algorithm in bearing estimation algorithm. This method estimates spatial spectrum by periodogram algorisdthm and hihg-resolution algorithm after preprocessing of spatial signal by automatically tracked window.

'Artificial Intelligence' Acceptability in Online Dispute Resolution: A Comparison Study of Korean Age Groups

  • The worldwide diffusion of COVID-19 contributes to electronic commerce all over the world. The proliferation of high volume and small value electronic commerce naturally has combined artificial intelligence with online dispute resolution (ODR). This paper investigates the age effect on Artificial Intelligence acceptability in online dispute resolution and its empirical findings are as follows. First, seven measures out of the nine employed in this case study shows a coherent dynamic pattern over the age spectrum. In other words, the total samples are a heterogenous group rather than a homogeneous one. Second, medium answer occupies a non-negligible portion across answers from nine research questions. It seems to indicate that a considerable portion of Korean respondents are hesitant to make a choice on artificial intelligence at this juncture. Third, all of the respondents agree that the introduction of AI to the dispute resolution could contribute to the hastening of the dispute resolution process. Fourth, most of the respondents agree that artificial intelligence might have the cognitive ability but not the sympathetic or affective ability to handle the electronic commerce disputes.
