  • Membrane electrode assembly (MEA) for polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) are commonly prepared in the research laboratory by spraying, screen-printing and brushing catalyst slurry onto membrane or other support material like carbon paper or polyimide film in a batch style. These hand applications of the catalyst slurry are painstaking process with respect to precision of catalyst loading and reproducibility. It has been generally mentioned that the adoption of continuous process is very helpful to develop the reliable product. In the present work, we report the results of using continuous type coater with doctor-blade to coat catalyst slurry for preparing the MEA catalyst layers In a faster and highly reproducible fashion. We show that while expectedly faster than batch style, the machine coater requires the use of slurry of appropriate composition and a properly selected transfer decal material in order to achieve superior MEA plat lnw loading reproducibility. To make highly viscous catalyst slurry that is imperative for using coater, we use 40wt.% Nafion solution and minimize the content of organic solvent. And the choice of proper high surface area catalyst is important in the viewpoint of making well-dispersed slurry. After catalyst coating onto the support material, we transferred the catalyst layer to both sides of Nafion membrane by hot-pressing In this case, the degree of transfer was Influenced by hot-pressing condition including temperature, pressure, and time. To compare the transferring ability, we compared so many films and detaching papers. And among the support, polyethylene terephthalate(PET) film shows the prominent result.

수용액 중의 염료 제거를 위한 폐수처리공정의 특성(2) - 반응성염료의 오존산화 및 섬유상활성탄 흡착 처리 - (Characteristics of The Wastewater Treatment Processes for The Removal of Dyes in Aqueous Solution(2) - Ozonation or ACF Adsorption Treatment of Reactive Dyes -)

  • This study was carried out to treat the aqueous solutions containing reactive dyes(RB19, RR120 and RY179) by the Ozone demand flask method and adsorption process using activated carbon fiber(ACF) which are one of the main pollutants in dye wastewater. Ozone oxidation of three kinds of the reactive dyes was examined to investigate the reactivity of dyes with ozone, competition reaction and ozone utilization on various conditions for single- and multi-solute dye solution. Concentration of dyes was decreased continuously with increasing ozone dosage in the single-solute dye solutions. Competition quotient values were calculated to investigate the preferential oxidation of individual dyes in multi-solute dye solutions. Competition quotients(CQi) and values of the overall utilization efficiency, ${\eta}O_3$, were increased at 40mg/l of ozone dosage in multi-solute dye solutions. ACF(A-15) has much larger specific surface area$(1,584m^2/g-ACF)$ in comparison with granular activated carbon adsorbent (F400, $1,125m^2/g-GAC$), which is commonly used, and most of pores were found to be micropores with pore radius of 2nm and below. It was found that RB19 was most easily adsorbed among the dyes in this study. In the case of PCP (p-chlorophenol) and sucrose, which are single component adsorbate, adsorption capacities of ACF(A-15) were in good agreement with the batch adsorption measurement, and saturation time predicted of ACF columns for these components was also well agreed with practically measured time. But in the case of reactive dyes, which have relatively high molecular weight and aggregated with multi-components, adsorption capacities or saturation time predicted were not agreed with practically measured values.

  • 본 연구에서는 사이즈코리아의 제7차 인체측정조사 자료 중 40-59세 중년 남성의 직접 계측 데이터를 분석하여 전신 체형의 특성을 알아보고, 중년 남성의 전신 체형을 유형화하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 맞음새가 우수한 중년 남성의 의복패턴 제작에 필요한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 전신 계측자료는 SPSS Ver. 24.0 프로그램으로 분석하였다. 요인은 신체의 수평, 수직, 어깨관련, 앞중심길이, 다리굵기, 어깨처짐 등 6개 요인이 추출되었다. 중년 남성의 전신체형은 3개로 유형화되어 유형1은 둘레는 가늘고 너비는 좁으며, 높이는 낮고 앞중심길이는 짧으며 다리가 얇은 체형이다. 유형 2는 높이는 높고 앞중심길이는 길며, 둘레 및 너비는 보통으로 다리가 굵고 어깨가 처진 체형이다. 유형3은 둘레는 크고 너비는 넓으며 어깨도 넓은 체형으로 앞중심길이는 긴 편이지만 신체높이는 낮고 어깨가 처지지 않은 체형이다. 중년 남성은 복부의 돌출 및 지방축적에 따른 둘레와 두께 항목의 증가가 두드러지므로 이를 반영한 패턴 제작이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

암묵적 태도검사(Implicit Association Test, IAT)를 이용한 남녀 중학생의 가정교과에 대한 성편향성 태도 연구 (A Study of the Gender-Biased Attitudes of Korean Middle School Students toward Home Economics as a Subject: Implementing the Implicit Association Test)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an Implicit Association Test to measure students' gender-biased attitude toward Home Economics, a required subject in middle-school and to examine the effects of gender, gender-biased attitude toward Home Economics, and gender egalitarianism on the perception of the subject. A total of 508 male and female middle-school students were surveyed using Qualtrics. The results revealed that the students had a gender-biased attitude of perceiving Home Economics as feminine as a whole, and this tendency was more evident among female than male students. To the contrary, their attitudes toward Home Economics as a subject was generally favorable when asked explicitly using self-administered questions. Among the high school elective classes, students preferred 'fashion' most, followed by 'dietary life', 'technology and home economics', and 'family life culture'. Female students, students with patriarchal attitude, and students who has gender-biased attitude toward Home Economics were more likely to perceive Home Economics as an alienated and less important subject. The generally positive explicit attitude toward Home Economics may be the results the social desirability effect due to the education. However, the home economists should develop a plan to overcome the gender-biased implicit attitude in order for the value of Home Economics as a subject to be fully addressed.

Influence of Total Ginseng Saponin on Catecholamine Secretion Evoked by Nicotinic Receptor Stimulation in the Perfused Rat Adrenal Gland

  • Lim and his coworkers (1987; 1988; 1989) have also found that all of total Ginseng saponin, panaxadiol-and panaxatriol-type saponins cause the increased secretion of catecholamines (CA) in a $Ca^{2+}$ -dependent fashion from the isolated perfused rabbit adrenal glands through the activation of cholinergic (both nicotinic and muscarinic) receptors. These CA secretory effects are partly due to the direct action on the rabbit adrenomedullary chromaffin cells. However, the present study was designed to examine the effect of total ginseng saponin on CA secretion evoked by activation of cholinergic nicotinic receptors in the isolated perfused model of the rat adrenal gland. Total ginseng saponin given (100 ${\mu}g$/20 min) into an adrenal vein did fail to produce alteration of spontaneous CA release from the rat adrenal medulla. Acetylcholine(5.32 mM)- and DMPP(100 ${\mu}M$, a selective nicotinic receptor agonist)-evoked CA secretory responses were reduced markedly after the pretreatment with the total ginseng saponin at a rate of 100 ${\mu}g$/6.2 ml/20 min, respectively. Pretreatment with total ginseng saponin also depressed greatly high potassium (56 mM, a membrane depolarizing agent)- and Bay-K-8644 (10 ${\mu}M$, a calcium channel activator)-induced CA secretions. Taken together, it is thought that total ginseng saponin can inhibit the releasing effect of CA evoked by nicotinic receptor stimulation from the isolated perfused rat adrenal medulla, which seems to be associated to the direct inhibition of influx through L-type calcium channel into the rat adrenomedullary chromaffin cells. It seems that there is species differences in the adrenomedullary catecholamine secretion between the rabbit and rat.

  • ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin은 다른 분자를 포접하여 inclusion complex (포접착물)를 만드는 특성을 가지고 있기 때문에 의약품, 농약, 식품, 화장품, 산화방지제, 휘발방지제, 흡습방지제, 퇴색방지제, 유화제 등의 다양한 용도로 사용되고 있다. 이러한 장점에도 불구하고 ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin은 물이나 유기용매에 대한 용해도가 낮아 사용에 제약을 받아왔다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 Bisphenol-A나 폴리우레탄(PU) 발포제인 cyclopropane에 대한 포접특성을 갖고 물이나 유기용매에 대한 용해도가 향상된 polyol type의 ${\beta}$-cyclodextrin 유도체를 합성한 후 그 특성을 고찰하였다. 연구결과 합성된 polyol을 사용해서 제조한 경질 PU foam은 기존의 polyol과 비교해서 더 우수한 열전도 특성과 압축강도를 나타내었다.

Precedent survey for development of nursing home clothes according to aged society

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the preferred materials and design characteristics of nursing home clothes in order to collect the basic data necessary for the elderly nursing home clothes. It was to utilize the elderly nursing home clothes considering elderly body shape, hand function, illness. This study was conducted by questionnaire method and SPSS ver. 20.0 program was used. The preference for nursing home clothes material was high for cotton, and it was found that they prefer soft, stretch material, warm feeling material, and lightweight material. In the hygienic aspect, they favored sweat-absorbent materials, and preferred laundry- care-resistant materials with poor wrinkles and dirtiness. The nursing home clothes preferred a two piece form consisting of a round neckline, two pockets on both sides, a waistband of rubber band, long lengths, and a waistline pants. The most important function in the nursing home clothes was recognized as wearing comfort. Aesthetics, symbolism, color and print pattern were recognized as not important functions. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on the functional part such as wearing comfort in the design of the nursing home clothes. The material is also hygienic and comfortable to wear. In the case of the elderly, it is necessary to provide convenience for the wear of clothes through the development of stretchable material and detachment device since the movement range of muscles, arms, and legs is reduced. Based on this study, we will utilize it for the development of nursing home suit considering the characteristics of elderly person in the elderly society. It is to develop functional materials for the elderly in need of nursing home, to develop the pattern considering the elderly body shape, and to develop the desorption device considering the movement of the hand.

라이프스타일에 따른 여대생의 두피건강신념과 두피관리행동 (A study on differences in scalp health beliefs and scalp care behaviors according to the lifestyles of female college students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 건강한 두피관리행동의 증진을 위해 건강신념모델에 기초한 여대생의 라이프스타일을 유형으로 나누어 두피관리행동에 대하여 알아보는 것이다. 연구를 위하여 서울, 경기지역의 여대생 총 534명을 대상으로 2020년 3월 18일에서 2020년 4월 7일까지 실시하였다. 연구의 결과 라이프스타일에 따른 두피건강관리 건강신념수준의 차이는 인지된 유익성과 인지된 장애성, 자기효능감에서 모두 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 또한 라이프스타일에 따른 두피관리행동 차이에 대한 결과로는 사회지향성향, 유행추구성향, 경제지향성향 순으로 높게 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 두피건강신념수준을 높일 수 있는 정보와 교육 프로그램의 개설 및 라이프스타일의 유형별 두피관리제품의 개발이 필요하다고 사료된다.

TiO2 나노입자와 3-MPTMS로 코팅 처리한 면섬유의 표면 특성과 항균성 및 광분해효과 (Surface Characteristics, Antimicrobial and Photodegradation Effect of Cotton Fibers Coated with TiO2 Nanoparticles and 3-Mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane(3-MPTMS))

  • In this study, cotton fabrics were coated with $TiO_2$ nanoparticles using 3-mercaptopropyltrimethoxysilane(3-MPTMS), which is highly reactive to cotton fabrics, as a medium, and the characteristics, antimicrobial properties, and photodegradation properties of the fibers were measured. The manufacturing process is as follows. (1) 3-MPTMS was added to isopropanol, and $TiO_2$ colloid was added to the mixture to prepare a solution. (2) Cellulose fibers were immersed in the prepared $3-MPTMS/TiO_2$ solution, stirred for 90 minutes at $45^{\circ}C$ in a constant temperature water bath, and dried thereafter. In order to identify the morphology of the cellulose fibers coated with $TiO_2$ nanoparticles, the surface was observed with a scanning electron microscope(SEM), and SEM-EDS was measured to identify the adhesion of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles. The SEM images showed $TiO_2$ nanoparticle and 3-MPTMS coated layers on the fibers and it was identified that $TiO_2$ nanoparticles were attached to the cellulose fibers. The antimicrobial activity of $3-MPTMS/TiO_2$-treated cotton fabrics was measured using a bacterial reduction method. $3-MPTMS/TiO_2$ cellulose fibers which was irradiated by ultra violet light, showed antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli(ATCC 43895) and Staphylococcus aureus(ATCCBAA-1707) unlike unirradiated fibers. The cellulose fibers were stained with methylene blue and the photodegradation performance of the stained fabrics was analyzed. The stained fabrics showed high degradation performance with photolytic reactions of $TiO_2$ nanoparticles.

대학생들의 외모관리관심도 및 뷰티트렌드와 융합된 외모관리행동 (The appearance management interest of University Students and Appearance management behavior converged with Beauty trend)

  • 본 논문은 대학생들의 외모관리에 대한 관심도와 뷰티트렌드와 융합된 다양한 형태의 외모관리행동과의 연관성을 알아보기 위한 것이다. G지역의 대학생들을 대상으로 2018년 4월15일부터 30일까지 15일 동안 설문지를 배포하여 연구목적과 방법을 설명하고 동의한 학생 267명의 자료를 SPSS 18을 활용하여 분석하였다. 대학생들의 외모관리 관심도는 건강관리에 대한 관심도를 제외한 체형관리, 피부관리, 헤어관리, 화장품사용관리에는 남, 여 대학생에 따른 관심도 차이를 보였다. 그리고 화장품사용관리 관심도가 높은 학생들은 트렌드와 융합된 패션스타일 화장스타일 피부관리 체형관리 행동요인들의 경우 정(+)의 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났고, 트렌드와 융합된 운동건강기구 사용 요인에는 부(-)의 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 대학생들의 트렌드와 융합된 외모관리행동에 대한 연구를 토대로 뷰티산업체의 신상품개발연구 등에 참고자료 활용을 기대하고, 추후 새로운 융합형태의 외모관리행동연구를 지속할 예정이다.
