In Tongyeong Ogwangdae, the characters use many ornaments and these ornaments represent different meanings. The following results were observed from the analysis that was carried out, to find the symbolic meanings of ornaments and props, and they- were used in Tongyeong Ogwangdae. The ornaments and props used in the traditional mask play are used to effectively represent the roles, characters, situations, and certain parts of body. They put each character in a psychological mood that enables him or her to perform his or her role more realistically. This in turn moves the audience. The ornaments and the props that were used in Tongyeong Ogwangdae help the audience to understand the characters and the hidden meaning of the play. These ornaments and props can be classified into three categories namely, one representing the character's social status, one representing the role of the character, and one indicating the flow of the play.

21th century is evolving from physical to brain-oriented society, and from class oriented society to network society. In the midst of it, bobos is the new enlightened elite group. In depth analyzationon of the beat generation from the 1950's and hippies from the 1960's, which had influenced the bobos, were done to study on such new and core elite group. According to the research, the emerging of bobos was originated and created from the long gone conflict between the beat and bourgeois, and the hippie and the conservative. And this mixed culture of both free-spirited hippie and materialistic yuppies from the 80's is rapidly growing, and they are easily seem from various commercial advertisements, accessories and fashion designs. In addition, the bobo's were targeted by the main designers, and expressed through bohemian luxury and romantic hippie mood. Naive and childish floral prints, paisley prints that were influenced by the hippies, the hair styles from the 80's and washed denims were seen at the collections. However, the symbolism of the 60's defiant fashion styles seem to fade away but remains only as a style. The comparison and analyzation between the fashion of bobos, hidden meaning of those defiant fashion styles and the aesthetics of it are arranged in the following conclusions.

Presentation is the way of revealing regionality that is hidden into the inner world. The expression of regionality has to be based on the origin and at the same time created newness as always suitable for the present through combination of 'familiarity' and 'unfamiliarity'. Regionality that has been maintained even under the application modern trends, spirits, technologies and materials should be now disclosed. Creating new forms that reflect regionality is possible only when a keen sense(emotion) always focusing on the essence of the earth works together with foresight(imaginative power) clarifying global pattern changes, under high tensions between both of them. Kim Su-Keun succeeded in reinterpreting traditional spaces, but failed in communicating patterns of life, ultimately revealing stiffness with no tension and no creativity. Kim Jung-Up could not draw out a whole meaning of relations among traditional fragments or relations between them and the present. He only borrowed such fragments from the view of formative art. For 'disclosed abstract', 'familiarity' and 'unfamiliarity' are repeated circularly and cope with pattern changes, continuously creating new forms and showing unity as a complete calmness(rest). In "YangDuk Catholic Church" by Kim Su-Keun provides a simultaneous reactivation of various images through continuous cross-weaving rather than being inclined to either the earth or the world. Based on the technique of 'disclosed abstract', "YangDuk Catholic Church" created a new form and space never seen before.

일반적인 CHMM 어휘 인식 시스템은 어휘 인식에 대한 모델들의 관측 확률 인식률이 낮고, 일부 단위 음소 모델에만 적용되어 제한적으로 사용되는 문제점이 있다. 또한, 어휘 탐색에서 어휘의 의미가 다양하여 탐색된 어휘가 사용자의 요구에 부합되지 않는 문제점을 가진다. 이러한 문제를 개선하기 위해 GMM(Gaussian Mixture Model)을 이용한 음소인식을 수행하고, 개선된 k-means 알고리즘을 이용하여 어휘 특성에 따른 제한적인 탐색 문제점을 해결하였다. 성능 실험은 기존의 시스템과 비교하여 정확도와 재현율로 대변되는 효과성을 측정하였으며, 성능 실험 결과 정확도는 83%, 재현율은 67%로 나타났다.

All costumes used for dramatic effect delivers the character's individual data such as sex, age, social position, job, personality, and sense of values in the scene and leads the progress of drama as a media that describes psychological condition and image of the drama etc. symbolically. Therefore, it has a meaning of finding out the importance of film costume, recognizing the traditional culture through the expression and creativity limited to the age in expression, finding out the unique Korean beauty and succeeding it to the future generation. The film is the first costume drama in Korea, which is remake work of Lt;Les Liasions dangereuses, 1782> in the age of the King Jeongjo in Joseon Dynasty. And is comic costume drama that the story goes as a man of the noblest birth debuts as a filthy novel writer. Both films have remarkable grace, elegance and magnificence as having Joseon Dynasty on the background, and treats irregularities and dissipation hidden in the noble society that looks elegance on the surface. There are three aesthetic symbolism in films, naturalism neat beauty, traditionality expressed.

The main focus of this study is to understand realities of postmodern consumer culture by deconstructing fashion advertisements, Calvin Klein's ck One and cK be. The metaphysics of critical theory, visual and textual analysis are used to deconstructing the ads applying one of the postmodern cultural critics, Baudrillard' s notion of hyperreality. Through deconstructing the ads five postmodern characteristics representing hyperreality were found. First, there is no message regarding functional characteristics of the product offered in the ad, which is far from the modernist's utilitarian Point of view. Hyperreality in Postmodern consumer culture is consumption centered and focuses on the product's symbolic meanings. Second, especially for cK be, the ad uses atypicai, irrelevant models and images, which are introduced as a concept of ‘real people’ rather than the ideal person or body type. Third, there are transformations of the meanings from cK one to cK be such as the notions of globalization and gender which clearly represent ongoing reality in the Postmodern culture. Fourth, there are hidden meaning of hedonism and relativism, which are prevalent in postmodern ideology. Finally, models' bodies are used to convey messages as well as form the ground and figure in the ad that is a significant characteristic of postmodern consumer culture. In conclusion, the study of Calvin Klein's fashion ads supports the notion that advertising mirrors reality in postmodern consumer culture, which is hyperreality.

Machine reading comprehension is the task of understanding a given context and finding the correct response in that context. A simple recurrent unit (SRU) is a model that solves the vanishing gradient problem in a recurrent neural network (RNN) using a neural gate, such as a gated recurrent unit (GRU) and long short-term memory (LSTM); moreover, it removes the previous hidden state from the input gate to improve the speed compared to GRU and LSTM. A self-matching network, used in R-Net, can have a similar effect to coreference resolution because the self-matching network can obtain context information of a similar meaning by calculating the attention weight for its own RNN sequence. In this paper, we construct a dataset for Korean machine reading comprehension and propose an $S^2-Net$ model that adds a self-matching layer to an encoder RNN using multilayer SRU. The experimental results show that the proposed $S^2-Net$ model has performance of single 68.82% EM and 81.25% F1, and ensemble 70.81% EM, 82.48% F1 in the Korean machine reading comprehension test dataset, and has single 71.30% EM and 80.37% F1 and ensemble 73.29% EM and 81.54% F1 performance in the SQuAD dev dataset.

In this paper, I revisit and problematize "blackness" in THH by building on Toni Morrison's call for the theorization of "blackness" in American literature. THH has received much critical attention in the decades that followed its revival, but this paper argues that the meaning of "Africanist presence" has not been adequately addressed in 19th-century women writers' works. This paper is an effort to fill in this gap, and examines the ways in which "blackness" informed and shaped this most popular text of 19th-century America. This paper argues that THH demonstrates contemporary America's fear of "blackness," and rather than celebrating Capitola's feminist credentials or criticizing the lack of sensitivity to racial issues in THH, shows that the significance of the text lies in the ways in which it prophesies an impending national crisis mediated through the disruptive force of Capitola and Black Donald. THH certainly reiterates the popular, contemporary racial paradigms and excludes blacks from the conceptualization of "manhood," and it may seem that the issue of race is subsumed under gender issues when the text continuously privileges gender over race. However, at the same time, Black Donald and Capitola's disruptive energies signify the fear of explosive "blackness," and the disruptive stirrings of "blackness" permeate the novel as the energy that might rupture the seemingly tranquil order of antebellum South. The novel encodes and reflects the fear of blackness in the minds of its readers, and the popularity of this novel foretells nothing less than the explosion of Civil War.

Quasar luminosity function (QLF) shows the active galactic nucleus (AGN) demography as a result of the combination of the growth and the evolution of black holes, galaxies, and dark matter halos along the cosmic time. The recent wide and deep surveys have improved the census of high-redshift quasars, making it possible to construct reliable ultraviolet (UV) QLFs at 2 < z < 6 down to M1450 = -23 mag. By parameterizing these up-to-date observed UV QLFs that are the most extensive in both luminosity and survey area coverage at a given redshift, we show that the UV QLF has a universal shape, and their evolution can be approximated by a pure density evolution (PDE). In order to explain the observed QLF, we construct a model QLF employing the halo mass function, a number of empirical scaling relations, and the Eddington ratio distribution. We also include the outshining of AGN over its host galaxy, which made it possible to reproduce a moderately flat shape of the faint end of the observed QLF (slope of ~ -1.1). This model successfully explains the observed PDE behavior of UV QLF at z > 2, meaning that the QLF evolution at high redshift can be understood under the framework of halo mass function evolution. The importance of the outshining effect in our model also implies that there could be a hidden population of faint AGNs (M1450 > -24 mag), which are buried under their host galaxy light.

이 연구는 메를로-퐁티의 실존적 역사 이론에 의거해서 헤겔과 마르크스의 역사관을 비판적으로 검토하고 결론적으로 평가하는 것으로 구성된다. 이 글은 다음과 같이 전개된다. 헤겔에서 역사적 경험은 절대 정신의 자기 전개 과정으로서 이해되고 이것은 변증법적으로 서술된다. 그리고 헤겔의 역사는 절대 정신의 실현을 향해 달려가는 보편적 목적론의 역사이다. 이러한 헤겔의 목적론적 역사관은 인간이 역사에 의미를 줄 수 있고 이성에 목적을 줄 수 있었던 일이 어떻게 가능한가 하는 문제, 바꾸어 말해서 의미가 어디서 나오는가 하는 문제 즉 의미 가능성의 문제를 전제한다. 이 문제와 관련해서 헤겔은 역사의 의미와 목적의 지각적 토대 즉 육화된 자기 의식에서 해명하지 못했다. 마르크스에서 역사의 주체는 프롤레타리아 또는 계급 의식이다. 그리고 계급은 생산 관계에 의해서 산출된 사회적 실재이다. 그러나 계급은 체험된 실재로 존재하지 않으면 현실화할 수 없다. 계급 없는 사회를 가져오는 계급 투쟁 역시 우리 자신이 우리에게 프롤레타리아 의식으로 가치 부여하는 의식이 없으면 촉발될 수 없다. 계급 의식의 탄생과 투쟁의 시작은 노동자가 타자의 주체성 및 물질적 대상 세계와 만나고 협력하고 대결하면서 자신의 생활 세계의 구조와 의미를 지각하기 시작하고 이해하며 혁신하게 되는 시간적 경과를 거치면서이다. 결론적으로 그것은 우리의 육화된 실존이 세계와 교섭하는 데서 구성되는 의미 없이는 불가능하다.
