We propose an incremental relaying protocol in conjunction with opportunistic communication for differential modulation with an aim to make efficient use of the degrees of freedom of the channels by exploiting a imited feedback signal from the destination. In particular, whenever the direct link from the source to the destination is not favorable to decoding, the destination will request the help from the opportunistic relay (if any). The performance of the proposed system is derived in terms of average bit error probability and achievable spectral efficiency. The analytic results show that the system assisted by the opportunistic relaying can achieve full diversity at low SNR regime and exhibits a 30㏈ gain relative to direct transmission, assuming single-antenna terminals. We also determine the effect of power allocation on the bit error probability BEP) performance of our relaying scheme. We conclude with a discussion on the relationship between the given thresholds and channel resource savings. Monte-Carlo simulations are performed to verify the analysis.

This paper describes the symptoms with the failure causes of pole transformers analyzed at KEPCO branch offices' request in 2001, and ultimately aims for devising proper countermeasures against the failures. The failure causes are generally divided into problems in manufacturing, mounting and operating. The pole transformers encounter the failure with unique mechanisms. To verify the mechanisms to failures and help devise proper countermeasures, a flowchart is proposed based on the authors' experience and foreign case studies. The failure causes of pole transformers can be analyzed more exactly by using the flowchart.

This paper deals with the study of distributed design system and the implementation of JAVA based initial design system using CORBA/sup [1-3]/. In the state of initial design, designer should consider other information related to a design part. In this case, designer has a difficult problem to search and calculate distributed data. We propose a special connector named ‘Allocator’and implement an initial design system AIDS(Agent based Initial Design system). AIDS can help designer search and calculate the distributed information. In this study, JAVA and CORBA were chosen for handling network and distribute programming. AIDS focuses on the possibility of incremental concurrent design capability. AIDS is comported of Request-Agent, Calculator-Agent, View-Agent, Search-Agent, and ‘Allocator’. The proposed system can be used for designing initial design of a gripper in the web regardless of operating system.

Today, manpower is used as a major factor in the production of service industry that is on the increasing trend. So the research on manpower structure have been regarded as a important field. The research on personnel scheduling, however, have got de-emphasizeed as compared wi th the field of manufacturing scheduling. As the increasing trend of service industry, an appropriate personnel scheduling for each type of service industry is needed urgently. This paper deals with nurse scheduling problem in the field of personnel scheduling. We aim at developing prototype of the expert nurse scheduling program which is easy to use when scheduling without help of expert, and satisfies the various request of hospital scheduling policy and nurse scheduling.

Microsurgical procedures are time-consuming and sometimes fatigue-inducing. However, a skilled assistant and scrub nurse can help surgery be performed more smoothly and rapidly. Three microsurgical simulation courses were held for perioperative nurses at our institution. Each course consisted of two lectures and two practice microsurgical sessions, and was evaluated with a post-course survey. The respondents all felt that their knowledge of microsurgical instruments, sutures, microscope set-up, and microsurgical skills had improved following the course. Many felt that their ability to predict what the surgeon would request during a microsurgical case improved, and that they were able to handle instruments and sutures better. The nurses also reported improved confidence in assisting with microsurgical procedures and tolerance of the long operative time in some microsurgical cases. Based on our experience, a basic microsurgery course for nurses can play a significant role in training effective and competent microsurgical scrub nurses.

Human-computer interaction is a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation, and implementation of interactive systems for human use. In this paper we suggest designing a smart deaf emergency application based on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles whereas nowadays everything around us is becoming smart, People already have smartphones, smartwatches, smart cars, smart houses, and many other technologies that offer a wide range of useful options. So, a smart mobile application using Text Telephone or TeleTYpe technology (TTY) has been proposed to help people with deafness or impaired hearing to communicate and seek help in emergencies. Deaf people find it difficult to communicate with people, especially in emergency status. It is stipulated that deaf people In all societies must have equal rights to use emergency services as other people. With the proposed application the deafness or impaired hearing can request help with one touch, and the location will be determined, also the user status will be sent to the emergency services through the application, making it easier to reach them and provide them with assistance. The application contains several classifications and emergency status (traffic, police, road safety, ambulance, fire fighting). The expected results from this design are interactive, experiential, efficient, and comprehensive features of human-computer interactive technology which may achieve user satisfaction.

The results of our study will help develope the education programs for a child-care teacher. The study was conducted to investigate the job request questionnaire. The subjects of the questionnaire were 257 people who are teachers, directors of child care centers and students. Frequency analysis, t-test, Chi-square, ANOVA, and Sch$\acute{e}$ffe were used to analyze the questionnaire as statistical tools. Firstly, public child care centers positively recruit teachers who graduate from college and consider their ability and sincerity to be the most important factors. Secondly, directors and teachers in public child care centers tend to consider preparing education, advice with child's parents, and managing facility the most important duties. Based on the results, the development of the education program will be focused on the child care field.
