The traditional Korean Ondol System that is a radiant floor heating system was made as warm floor and cool indoor temperature. Nowaday, Ondol is developed as the hydronic floor heating system. But unbalance of floor temperature and indoor temperature is occurred bocause strengthen thermal insulation and airtightness in building changes thermal performance. To solve these problems, we examine actual indoor environment of heating system methods in existing apartments and present the new method of floor heating system. The existing heating system made definite indoor temperatures but floor temperatures that is $22^{\circ}C-26^{\circ}C$ was maintained. To solve these problems, we adopted the differential heating system which made warm area and cool area. A differential heating system was made different pitches of heating pipe in single zone and ratio of warm area to cool area is 1 to 2. As a result of experiments, warm area temperature is $40.7^{\circ}C$, cool area temperature is $36.1^{\circ}C$. A difference of temperature between both area is 4K. A distribution of indoor vertical temperature is similar to both warm area and cool area.
The purpose of this study is to get optimum design and operation conditions of the heating rubber roller for laminating process. The cause of performance degradation of heating rubber roller is delamination of rubber on metal tube, rubber aging due to high temperature. We measured the material properties of thermal expansion, thermal conductivity, specific heat and density and analyzed thermal distributions of rubber layer using finite element method. As a result of heat/flow analysis, the density distribution of heating coil must shorten the stabilization time by reducing the temperature deviation on the length direction at the temperature rising section after increasing the density of the area contacting with the laminate film at the center part which is an opposite of the current composition while enabling to maintain the temperature of heater to be consistent while maintaining the temperature deviation to be low when heat loss is created. Finally, we determined optimum heating method of heating rubber roller.
The objective of this study was to provide preliminary data for food industry by investigating the distribution of microorganisms in raw materials and sausage examining the effect of heating temperature on sausage quality. Total microbes in sausage ranged 2.21-3.11 Log CFU/g. Bacillus pumilus, B. licheniformis, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, and Enterococcus faecalis were detected on sausage. Total microbes in raw materials was 1.59-7.16 Log CFU/g. Different types of microorganisms were found depending on raw materials, with B. pumilus and B. subtilis were being detected in both raw materials and sausage. Total microbes in sausage after heating was in the range of 1.10-2.22 Log CFU/g, showing the trend of decrease in total microbe with increasing heating temperature, although the decrease was not significant. With increasing heating temperature, pH and hardness were also increased. The yield of sausage manufactured at $85^{\circ}C$ was 95.42% while that manufactured at $65^{\circ}C$ was 96.67%. Therefore, decreasing heating temperature during sausage production might increase yield and save energy without microbiological effect.
In this study, the glass fiber drawing from a silica preform in the furnace for the optical fiber manufacturing process is numerically simulated by considering the radiative heating of cylindrically shaped preform. The one-dimensional governing equations of the mass, momentum, and energy conservation for the heated and softened preform are solved as a set of the boundary value problems along with the radiative transfer approximation between the muffle tube and the deformed preform shape, while the furnace heating is modeled by prescribing the temperature distribution of muffle tube. The temperature-dependent viscosity of silica plays an important role in formation of preform neck-down profile when the glass fiber is drawn at high speed. The calculated neck-down profile of preform and the draw tension are found to be reasonable and comparable to the actual results observed in the optical fiber industry. This paper also presents the effects of key operating parameters such as the muffle tube temperature distribution and the fiber drawing speed on the preform neck-down profile and the draw tension. Draw tension varies drastically even with the small change of furnace heating conditions such as maximum heating temperature and heating width, and the fine adjustment of furnace heating is required in order to maintain the appropriate draw tension of 100~200 g.

The TR forging is a kind of continuous grain flow forging. The preform of crank shaft for TR forging process was a round bar with a ring groove. In the first stage, the preform was partly heated by induction heating and then forged by vertical and horizontal force in sequence. In this study, the simulation process of induction heating was proposed to evaluate the temperature distribution of preform for TR forging. The equivalent circuit method was adopted to find coil current of the preform with a various dimensions and power levels. With these results, the coupled electromagnetic and transient thermal analysis for induction heating was performed to evaluate the temperature distribution at the preform of crank shaft during induction heating process. This FE analysis technique with equivalent circuit method was verified by comparing the analysis results with the experimental results.
The evaluation of the indoor environment of the Assembly Hall in the University, which is designed to be a large space, requires efficient design of its heating system that takes into consideration natural convection and the characteristics of the occupant's spaces. Indoor thermal environment was measured in the field and simulated with CFD code. The estimations of temperature distribution and indoor airflow distribution must be carried out simultaneously, as the thermal stratification is induced by natural convection flows. In order to simulate the even distribution of factors affecting the indoor environment, including temperature and airflow, Phoenics is used. The turbulent flow model adopted is the RNG k- model. The inlets and outlets of the air-conditioning systems, material and thermal properties, and the size of the test room ($35m{\times}18m{\times}10m$) are used for the simulation. Since the Assembly Hall is symmetric, half of the space is simulated. A Cartesian grid is used for calculation and the number of grids are respectively $60{\times}45{\times}35$. The results of the computer simulation during winter conditions are compared with the measurements at the typical points in the assembly hall with the heating system. After evaluating the results of the computer simulations, the methods of the heating system and layout are suggested.
Analysis of radiation heating system for producing 60" size PDP panels was carried out using $RADCAD^{TM}$ software. Optimum arrangement of infrared heating elements was found to obtain uniform temperature distribution in PDP panel during heating. Heating capacity of each heater was determined to obtain an appropriate maximum panel temperature. Parametric study to find the effect of design parameters such as the thermophysical and optical properties of glass and cooling system was carried out. As a reference system, about 35 kW heating capacity was chosen to obtain about 800 K maximum panel temperature after 30 minute heating. The maximum temperature difference in panel was below 20 K. The maximum/minimum and its difference in the panel were very sensitive to the variation of the emissivity of glass and cooling block.
There are many parameters that affect the natural circulation flow, such as height difference, heating power size, pipe diameter, system pressure and inlet temperature and so on. In general analysis the heating power is often regarded as a uniform distribution. The ANSYS-CFX numerical analysis software was used to analyze the flow heat transfer of supercritical water under different heating power distribution conditions. The distribution types of uniform, power increasing, power decreasing and sine function are investigated. Through the analysis, it can be concluded that different power distribution has a great influence on the flow of natural circulation if the total power of heating is constant. It was found that the peak flow of supercritical water natural circulation is maximal when the distribution of heating power is monotonically decreasing, minimal when it is monotonically increasing, and moderate at uniform or the sine type of heating. The simulation results further reveal the supercritical water under different heat transfer conditions on its flow characteristics. It can provide certain theory reference and system design for passive residual heat removal system about supercritical water.

Most hot water heating valves for apartments are constant-flow types, which limit the flow rate through an individual household for even distribution of heating water to other households. The constant-flow type is implemented by an on-off control. As a result, heating water is supplied intermittently and hence, indoor air temperature also fluctuates. Returning water temperature is also high, which reduces energy efficiency. To implement continuous feedback control, the indoor temperature dynamics was simulated to fit a measured temperature history by a state-of-the-art physical model. From the model, it was found that the most important disturbance is outdoor temperature and its effect on indoor temperature lasts about an hour. To cope with the slow response and the significant disturbance, a prediction control with proportional feedback is proposed. The control was found to be successful in implementing continuous heating water flow and improved indoor temperature control.

In attempt to develop a drug delivery system using serum albumin microspheres, bovine serum albumin microspheres containing antitumar agent. Cytarabine, were prepared. The shape, surface characteristics, size distribution, behavior of in vivo distribution, drug release behavior, and degradation of albumin microsphers in animal liver issue homogenate and proteolytic enzyme were investigated. The shape of albumin microspheres was spherical and the surface was smooth and compact. The size distribution of the albumin microspheres was effected by dispertion forces during emulsification and albumin concentration. Distribution of albumin microspheres after imtravenous administration in rabbit was achieved immediately. In vitro, albumin microsphere matrix was so hard that it retained most of cytarabine except initial burst during the first 10 minutes, and the level of drug release during the initial burst was affected by heating temperature, drug/albumin microsphere matrix was so hard that it retained most of cytarabine except initial burst during the first 10 minutes, and the level of drug release during the initial burst was affected by heating temperature, drug/albumin concentration ratio and size distribution. After drug release test, the morphology of albumin microspheres was not changed. Albumin microsphere matrix was degraded by the animal liver issue homogenate and proteolytic enzyme. The degree of degradation was affected by heating temperature.
