  • The purpose of this study was to derive the conditions for manufacturing rice porridge with optimum properties after reheating. The characteristics of rice porridge according to the soaking time, water addition rate, heating temperature, heating time, and cooling conditions were compared using the 'Samkwang' cultivar. In Step I, as the heating temperature increased, the weight change decreased and the viscosity increased, and the temperature known as the main factor of the gelatinization also appeared to affect the viscosity increase. In Step II, the viscosity and the texture properties was not significantly different as the soaking time was reduced, and 10 minutes was suitable because of due to the shortening effect of the total process time. In Step III, the residual heat was lowered by cooling after the rice porridge production, so the viscosity could be greatly reduced. Also, it was confirmed that the water addition rate of 900% and the heating temperature of 15 minutes were optimal manufacturing conditions. The next study will investigate the porridge processability of rice cultivars using these results.

  • This study examined the curing temperature of concrete with a photothermal insulation sheet to shorten the curing time of concrete as part of construction cost and period reduction. According to the experiment results, the heating performance effect is confirmed through the temperature difference between photothermal insulation sheet and bubble sheet. And it has a high curing temperature in the order of bubble sheet (photo heating material B) > bubble sheet (photo heating material A) > bubble sheet on same layers.

  • In order to examine the chemical stabilization through DCG curing of cement paste exposed to high temperature environment, we produced a sample of 40% W/C cement paste and heated it for 180 minutes under the heating temperature of $800^{\circ}C$. The DCG curing time was 6, Three time conditions were divided into 12 and 18 hours. As a result of XRD analysis, Calcite ($CaCO_3$) was found in Theta 29.4, 40, and 46.5o. As the curing time increased, the peak of Calcite also increased, which is due to the increased reaction time with DCG. Therefore, Calcite produced through DCG curing seems to have stabilized chemically by filling the pores generated by heating.

조직모델에서 냉.온치료기의 열전달 특성 비교 연구 (A Comparative Study on Heat Transfer Characteristics in Tissue Model with Application of Heating or Cooling Therapeutic Modalities)

  • Objectives : This study aimed to investigate temperature characteristics by heat transfer type of therapeutic modalities. Methods : We selected heating and cooling modalities that are frequently used in clinical by heat transfer type: conduction, convection, radiation, and conversion. We used ham as tissue model, and applied the modalities for 30 minutes. We measured real-time changed temperature($^{\circ}C$) of the surface, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 14 mm depth. Results : 1. In conduction-using hot pack, ice pack, and CryoStamp heating-cooling combination therapy unit($40^{\circ}C/{\sim}15^{\circ}C$), the surface temperature sharply rose close to equilibrium in first 5 minutes. 2. In convection-using smokeless moxa, temperature slowly rose to the maximum at 25-minute elapsed time. But in another convection-using CRAiS cryotherapy device, result was similar to that of conduction. 3. In radiation-using infrared lamp, result was similar to that of conduction, but not reached equilibrium during applying time. 4. In conversion-using ultrasound device, temperature was the highest at 6 mm depth, and not reached equilibrium during applying time. Conclusions : We could comprehend temperature characteristics and proper use of modalities by heat transfer type. It would be necessary to consider in vivo physical conditions in further studies.

Spalling of heated high performance concrete due to thermal and hygric gradients

  • In this study, high performance concrete beams and prisms with high content of PFA were heated to various temperatures up to $450^{\circ}C$ at heating rates of $1^{\circ}C/min$, $3^{\circ}C/min$ and $10^{\circ}C/min$. The thermal gradient was found to increase first with the heating time until a peak value was reached and then decrease until the thermal equilibrium was reached, measured as $115^{\circ}C$, $240^{\circ}C$ and $268^{\circ}C$ for the three heating rates. Spalling occurred on some specimens when the heating temperature was over $400^{\circ}C$ for heating rates of $3^{\circ}C/min$ and $10^{\circ}C/min$. The hygric gradient was found to reach its maximum when the thermal gradient reached its peak. This study indicates that spalling of HPC could happen when the heating temperature was high enough, and both thermal and hygric gradients reached their maxima.

뽕나무(Morus alba L.)의 RAPD 분석조건 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimization of RAPD-FCR Conditions for Morus alba L.)

  • 본 연구는 뽕나무 품종간의 유전적 특성 분석을 위한 기초 자료로서 최적의 RAPD-PCR 조건을 확립하기 위하여 수행하였다. 본 연구를 위해 '밀성뽕', '청일뽕', '수일뽕' 그리고 한성뽕'등의 4품종을 이용하여 Operon사의 OPY15 (5'-AG-TCGCCCTT-3') primer를 사용, 여러 가지 PCR 조건하에서 실험하였다. DNA 농도, primer농도, $MgCl_2$ 농도, PCR 횟수, annealing temperature, pre-heating time의 조작유무 등 여러 가지 요인들을 대상으로 시험을 수행한 결과, $25 \mu$ 반응용액을 기준으로 50 ng의 template DNA, $1 \muM$의 random primer, 1.5 mM의$MgCl_2$45회의 PCR cycle, 45$^{\circ}C$의 annealing temperature 그리고 pre-heating time이 없는 조건이 최적으로 나타났다. 이러한 RAPD-PCR법의 안정적인 조건의 확립은 후차적인 뽕나무 품종간의 유전적 특성의 규명, 계통간의 관련, 신품종 육성 등을 위한 중요한 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 생각된다.

수분함량, 가열온도 및 가열시간에 따른 전분 반죽의 호화특성 (Gelatinization Properties of Starch Dough with Moisture Content, Heating Temperature and Heating Time)

  • Corn starch와 waxy corn starch를 사용하여 중간수분계의 수분함량으로 반죽을 제조하고 수분함량과 가열온도, 가열시간에 따른 전분 반죽의 호화양상을 밝혀 보고자 하였다. Corn starch와 waxy corn starch의 amylograph 호화 특성은 1% CMC를 첨가하여 측정한 호화개시 온도가 모두 약 $64^{\circ}C$로 나타났다. DSC특성은 corn starch호화 개시 온도가 $68.15^{\circ}C$, 최대호화온도가 $74.01^{\circ}C$, 호화종결 온도가 $85.65^{\circ}C$, 호화엔탈피는 3.2 cal/gram이었으며, waxy corn starch의 호화개시온도는 $68.24^{\circ}C$, 최대호화온도 $75.43^{\circ}C$, 호화종결온도 $93^{\circ}C$, 호화엔탈피는 4.2 cal/gram으로 나타났다. 수분함량$(X_1)\;36{\sim}52%)$, 가열온도$(X_2)\;60{\sim}100^{\circ}C$, 가열시간$(X_3)$ $0{\sim}2.0$분으로 가열시 corn starch와 waxy corn starch 반죽의 호화도(Y) 변화를 실험계획법으로 조사한 반응표면 회귀 방정식은 corn starch 반죽의 경우 $Y=28.659+8.638\;X_1+15.675\;X_2+7.770\;X_3-1.620\;{X_1}^2+10.790\;X_1X_2-4.220\;{X_2}^2+0.510\;X_1X_3+1.980\;X_2X_3-6.850\;{X_3}^2$ $(R^2=0.9714)$ 이었고 waxy corn starch 반죽의 경우는 $Y=32.617+12.535\;X_1+20.470\;X_2+8.608\;X_3+4.093\;{X_1}^2+13.550\;X_1X_2-4.467\;{X_2}^2+1.560\;X_1X_3+2.160\;X_2X_3-9.527\;{X_3}^2$ $(R^2=0.9621)$이었다. 즉 수분함량과 가열온도, 가열시간이 증가할수록 반죽의 호화도는 모두 증가하는 경향을 나타내었고 같은 조건에서는 waxy corn starch가 corn starch 반죽보다 $10{\sim}20%$ 정도 더 호화되는 것을 알 수 있었다. Corn starch 와 waxy corn starch 반죽의 호화 속도를 보면 가열온도 $70^{\circ}C$$80^{\circ}C$에서는 가열시간 0.5분 이내에서 비교적 빠른 속도로 반죽이 호화되고 가열시간이 그 이상으로 증가할 때도 반죽의 호화가 약간은 진행되지만 $90^{\circ}C$ 이상의 가열온도에서는 가열시간 0.5분 이내에 반죽의 호화가 급속히 일어나고 가열 시간을 증가시켜도 더이상의 호화는 일어나지 않았다. 같은 조건에서는 waxy corn starch 반죽의 호화 속도가 corn starch보다 더 빠른 것으로 나타났다. 대표적으로 52% 수분함량에서 반응속도상수(k)와 가열온도(T)사이의 관계식은 corn starch의 경우 $logk=11.1140-4.1226{\times}10^3(1/T)$, waxy corn starch의 경우 $logk=10.1195-3.7090{\times}10^3(1/T)$이었다.

PET부분배향사(POY)의 열처리에 따른 내부구조 및 물성변화 (The Changes of the Microstructure and the Physical Properties of Heat Set PET Partially Oriented Yarns)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the microstructure and physical property of PET POY which was taut-annealed under various conditions. The DSC melting curves of annealed PET POY showed double melting peaks in most cases. As temperature and time increased, form II crystal became sharp and increased in size, and form I crystal decreased in size. The slower the heating rate, the higher the programmed heating effect during DSC analysis. Crystallinity and briefringence of annealed specimens increased as the treatment temperature and time increased. Breaking tenacity of specimens treated for 3 minutes increased as the treatment temperature increased, but others decreased. Elongation at break decreased as the annealing temperature and time increased. Dye uptake of annealed specimens decreased as the temperature increased up to $190^{\circ}C\~210^{\circ}C$. then the uptakes increased at higher temperatures. At the same temperature, dye uptake of the specimen decreased as time increased.

연신한 PP filament의 승온열처리에 의한 결정구조 변화에 관한 연구 (A Study On Crystalline Structure Change by Isothermally Annealed after Elevated heating of drawn PP filaments)

  • The change of crystalline structure of drawn PP filaments were investigated. Samples were treated by isothermally annealed after elevated heating from $20^{\circ}C$. Measurements were carried out with XRD for crystallite size and density gradient tube for crystallinity. Isothermally heat treatment were carried out at the temperature of $100^{\circ}C$, $120^{\circ}C$ and $140^{\circ}C$ for 10min., 30min. and 60min. in dry oven. The isothermal heat treatment after elevated heating from $20^{\circ}C$ were carried out at the temperature of $100^{\circ}C$, $120^{\circ}C$ and $140^{\circ}C$ for 10min., 30min. and 60min. with heating rate of $1^{\circ}C$/min., $5^{\circ}C$/min. and $10^{\circ}C$/min. From the results of this study, it found the following facts. It was found that the crystallinity and crystallite size of (110) plane of sample were increased with increasing of annealed temperature and time. Also crystallinity and crystallite size of samples which were isothermally annealed after elevated heating from $20^{\circ}C$ were higher than those of isohtermally annealed samples.

히팅카고 응고사고 분석 - 나일브렌드를 중심으로 - (An Analyse for Solidified Accident of Nile Blend Crude Oil)

  • A heating cargo is solidified by several reasons during carriage. This study is to analyse a cargo accident which 811,202 US barrels of Nile Blend crude oil reamined solid In the tanks after discharge. There are some possibilities that low temperature of Beading cargo below cloud point and wax appearance temperature at loading time, heating interruption during voyage or discharging, and prohibition of crude oil washing during discharging might influence the cargo solidified. But we concluded that the defect of heating system would most affect the heating cargo solidified locally, and which blocked drain hole of bottom transverse and web frame and they obstruct flow of heating cargo in the tanks.
