In order to investigate and evaluate the effects of red deer antlers on hair growth in the full-thickness wound healing model, Sprague-Dawley rats were given incision wounds through the full thickness of their dorsal skin and deer antler was applied for 40 days. At specified intervals thereafter (4, 8, 16, 32 and 40 days), the animals were sacrificed and the wound site skins were excised, processed, and sectioned. At post-injury days 16, 32 and 40, longer and more active new hair appeared around the healing wound of antler-treated skin. Histological studies showed that the antler extract markedly increases the depth, size, and number of hair follicles. Expression of IGF-I (insulin-like growth factor) mRNA was detected by RT-PCR and real time RT-PCR. The result showed that the expression of IGF-I (days 16, 32, and 40) was obviously up-regulated in antler-treated skins compared to control skins. Similar results were seen in the ELISA analysis to quantify the IGF-I expression. These results support the notion that wound healing can cause hair growth by enhancing the expression of IGF-I. Deer antler extract appears to have the potential to promote hair growth and could be used in hair growth products.

Background and objective: As the 'Healing Agriculture Research and Development and Promotion Act' came into effect on March 25, 2021, social interest in agro-healing has been increasing exponentially. This study was conducted to analyze the priorities of agro-healing classification system and to provide basic data to inform policy directions and related research for the development and activation of agro-healing. Methods: The survey data collected from 18 experts were analyzed using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method in determine the relative weights of the main and sub-criteria for the classification system. There were three main criteria identified: agro-healing input industry, agro-healing service industry, and agro-healing-related/derived industry. There were also 11 sub-criteria. Results: The top three sub-criteria with the highest complex weights include "community service," "social rehabilitation" and "treatment and rehabilitation," all of which correspond to the main criterion "agro-healing service industry". In addition, the complex weights of the sub-criteria corresponding to the main criterion "agro-healing related/derived industry" are as follows: "other agro-healing support service," which ranked 4th, and "training and education institutions for agro-healing experts," which ranked 5th when prioritizing the criteria. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that the main criterion to be considered first in establishing a classification system is "agro-healing service industry". Therefore, it is necessary to continue research on detailed service classifications and systems with verified validity to ensure expertise in human resources, and organization related to social purpose services in agro-healing.

The purpose of this study is to organize research trends by analyzing healing studies using emotional insects, and to suggest future research directions. As a result, only six emotional insect species were used for healing purposes, and most of the age groups of the test subjects were elementary school students and the elderly. As for the type of research, field application of the healing program was dominant at 76.5%. Effectiveness verification was mainly conducted through questionnaires before and after participating in the healing program. In some cases, stress-related salivary hormones were used as indicators or clinical tests were conducted by medical staff. Based on the results of this analysis, future strategies such as finding new emotional insect species, developing various types of healing program models, and expanding and subdividing the target subjects were suggested to promote the growth of the healing industry using emotional insects in the future.
The average income of forestry household was only 54.3% of urban workers's and 67.6% of farms household's income based on the data from statistics Korea in 2012. This indicates that forestry, which is a labor-intensive primary industry, has the limitation for creating added value. On the other hand, the demands for forest healing and forest experiential program have been continuously increased with new lifestyle focusing on the quality of life and increased leisure time. Therefore, it is necessary to establish comprehensive policies to increase added value except forestry to respond forest demands. The project utilizing forest healing can be on of solutions to meet forest demands. Thus, this research intends to investigate an economic revitalization plan for mountain villages with forest healing. The characteristics of forest healing facilities and contents of forest healing programs were examined through internet searching, fields surveys, and expert interviews. Total 186 concepts, 8 categories, and 24 subcategories were derived from raw data of surveys. The application process of forest healing was also provided to encourage local economy of mountain areas. This research offers application procedure of the forest healing for regional economic vitalization in Mountain Villages interviews using grounded theory by Strauss and Corbin(1988) as well as NVio11. This research contributes to prepare the base of future quantitative studies by providing strategies and suggestions for the application plans of forest healing programs. In addition, this research offers basic data for the policies to establish and manage forest healing villages.
Korean agriculture has recently focused on the 6th dimension of industrialization, which includes the functions of healing and care. The green care and healing business is one of the most representative models, satisfying modern consumers' needs for care or healing in rural agricultural environments. Many studies have shown physical and social benefits from green care and healing, but studies regarding economic performance are rarely found. The present study aimed to analyze the economic feasibility of different green care and healing farm complexes proposed in recent domestic research, with various possible combinations of business scenarios. The results show that most of the scenarios are economically feasible as B/C (benefit-cost ratio) and IRR (internal rate of return) are 1.19 and 8.53%, respectively, under scenario 1. This study also performed a break-even analysis for providing more flexible decision-making information. Overall, scenario 1 from green care and healing site and scenario 4 from green care and healing cluster are found to be superior to the other scenarios in terms of B/C and IRR. The scenarios in this study reflect the domestic farms or complexes which have similar functions of care or healing. Therefore, the results of this study provide information on practical policies and business implications in making decisions on the specific size and operational patterns when adopting green care and healing complexes by central or local governments and private sectors in the future.

This study aims to examine the effect of healing program using insect. For the insect resources, the program uses 3 species of emotional insects. The subjects were a total of 29, the elderly with mild dementia and adults with developmental disabilities in the facility. The activities are 9 programs in total and each program takes 2 hours once a week. For data collection, we measured a blood pressure, stress level using autonomic nervous system activity, and scale of happiness, depression and insomnia by a survey. The datas were collected every week before and after the program. As a result of paired-sample t-test analysis, the participants of the agro-healing program using insects had positive effects as follows: reducing a depression, relieving a symptom of insomnia and stabilizing a blood pressure. Through the results of this study, it was possible to confirm the positive effects of the agro-healing program using insects. If farms lead agro-healing program using insects on their own, it could be expected to contribute to improve the quality of life through agriculture as well as to improve the farms' income.
Background and objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of visitors' positive emotions on satisfaction and loyalty with the perception of restorative environment of a healing garden created in an urban agriculture expo. Methods: The psychological indicators to the images of the healing garden were analyzed by the visitors' demographic variables and the three factors of plant cultivation activity level: plant cultivation experience, plant preference, and plant-related event. Results: Between age groups and occupational groups, significant differences were found statistically. The Perceived Restorativeness Scale(PRS) showed significantly differences between age groups in repose, fascination and legibility. The Positive Affect & Negative Affect Schedule(PANAS) showed statistically significant differences between age groups in positive emotions. In addition, we investigated the correlation between the PANAS and the three factors of plant cultivation experience level, the four factors of the PRS, satisfaction and loyalty. The three factors of plant cultivation experience level, the four factors of the PRS, satisfaction and loyalty showed a positive correlation with positive emotions and were inversely correlated with negative emotions significantly. Multiple regression analysis with dummy variables was conducted to examine the effects of plant cultivation activity level, attention restoration, and the PANAS on healing garden visitors' satisfaction and loyalty. As a result, among the four factors of the PRS, fascination and positive affectivity were significant variables that affect healing garden visitors' satisfaction and loyalty. Conclusion: The results indicated that the higher the attention restoration of visitors due to the fascination of the healing garden and the higher their positive affectivity and the more they have plant-related memories, the higher their impact on healing garden visitors' satisfaction and loyalty. Therefore, fascinating natural environments or greenery landscapes like healing gardens where people can contact plants would reduce negative emotions such as anger and sadness but to increase positive emotions such as pleasure, joy and satisfaction.

Colostrum, a nutrient-rich fluid produced by female mammals after giving birth, is the specific initial diet of mammalian neonates. Colostrum is important for the nutrition, growth, and development of newborn infants and contributes to the immunologic defense of neonates. It contains immunoglobulins, antimicrobial peptides, such as lactoferrin and lactoperoxidase, and other bioactive molecules, including growth factors, such as IGF (insulin-like growth factor), EGF (epithermal growth factor), $TGF-{\beta}$ (transforming growth factor), and FGF (fibroblast growth factor). Bovine colostrum is a rich source of growth factors, which play a central role in wound healing. The biological activities of colostrum emphasize the relevance of the synergistic activity of growth factors to stimulate keratinocyte proliferation and migration, which are essential for tissue repair. Colostrum increases the expression of early differentiation markers, such as keratin 1 and 10 and involucrin, and late differentiation markers, including loricrin and filaggrin. Additionally, colostrum increases granulation tissue volume in the dermis, suggesting that it has a beneficial effect on wound healing. The therapeutic use of colostrum or individual peptides present in colostrum has a positive and curative influence on various gastrointestinal diseases.

The purpose of this study is to identify factors that are causal and intention to revisit healing agricultural facilities and to identify the relationship between factors. the effect of experience type was analyzed on revisit intention by using facility experience satisfaction as a meditator for healing agriculture participants. The sub-variables of experience types were divided into educational experience, devious experience, entertainment experience, and aesthetic experience. 259 questionnaires collected from the people who experienced healing agriculture programs in the whole country were used for empirical analysis. The PROCESS macro v3.4 and SPSS v22.0 were used to analyze based on the singular simple mediation model which contains a single mediator. First, all types of experience had a positive (+) effect on satisfaction. Second, satisfaction had a positive (+) effect on revisit intention independently of experience type. Third, all types of experience had a positive (+) effect on revisit intention. Fourth, satisfaction mediated between experience type and revisit intention except for deviating experience among experience types. As a follow-up study, it is necessary to study for the adjustment of mediators other than the mediator introduced in the study or the controlled mediated analysis through the conditional process model in which the moderator variable is introduced.
This study was performed to investigate the effect of satllower(Carthamus tinctorius L.) seed yoghurt on osteoporosis. Sham-operated rats(control) were fed basal diet for 6 weeks. Ovariectomized rats were divided into 6 different experimental groups including basal diet group(G I), yoghurt diet group(G II) and 1% to 4% safflower seed yoghurt diet group(GIII to GVI). and fed with the experimental diet for 6 weeks, respectively. The feed intake, feed efficiency ratio and body weight gains of rats fed with the experimental diet for 6 weeks were analyzed, respectively, and the weight. length, strength, mineral content and density in left femur of the animals were determined, respectively. Also, the right femur tissues were observed by Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM). The level of feed intake was not different among all experimental groups. The feed efficiency ratio and body weight gain were high in safflower seed yoghurt groups, and GV and GVI appeared high specially. Density, strength, ash content and minerals content in left femur were similar between control and G I, and increased with increasing the amount of satllower seed in yoghurt. On the other hand, weight and length in left femur showed no difference among all experimental groups. From the results of SEM observation of right femur tissue, GVI showed high healing effects. From the results of this experiment the healing effects of satllower seed yoghurt diet group were higher than those of control and G I. Among the treatments, GVI showed the highest healing effects on the osteoporosis in ovariectomized rats.
