Objectives : This study was aimed to investigate the methods for acupuncture and moxibustional treatment to insomnia Methods : The insomnia is classified by seven cause at main subject. According to this, arrange the acupuncture and moxibustional treatment for classical books, and explain eight meridian related to insomnia. Results : 1. Insomnia means deficiency of sleeping and it is the word generally used when a short period of sleeping, difficulty for deep sleeping and difficulty for recovery of original vital energy comes out. In oriental medicine, they understand that uneasiness condition occurred by abnormal operation of the internal organs as heart, liver, gallbladder, spleen, stomach, kidney, etc. caused by external affection or internal injury becomes Insomnia. 2. Cause of insomnia can be classified majorly as fire-transformation of liver and gallbladder , inner shaking of phlegm-heat , insufficiency of both the heart and the spleen, disharmony between heat and kidney, the dysfunction of the stomach, timidity of heart and gallbladder, the deficiency of Qi of the lung. They make insomnia with bad influence upon body and spirit. 3. The meridian system such as Heart Meridian of Hand Soeum, Pericardium Meridian of Hand Gworeum, Stomach Meridian of Foot Yangmyeong, Spleen Meridian of Foot Taeeum, Bladder Meridian of Foot Taeyang, Kidney Meridian of Foot Soeum, Gallbladder Meridian of Foot Soyang, Liver Meridian of Foot Gworeum and Lung Meridian of Hand Taeeum are used to treat insomnia. Sinmun acupoint and Naegwan acupoint are often used in particular because the they are good for calmming the spirit, the heart and purging the heart of (pathogenic) fire. 4. Especialy, Back-Su points of Bladder Meridian of Foot Taeyang was used by each causes. The Back-su Points was mainly used for heal the insomnia because the Back-Su points has good competent to control the ability of internal organs by direct effect to it. It is because the vitality flows through around back-Su. Conclusions : It comes to a conclusion as follows with research for relevancy of the main cause of insomnia and meridian system includes meridian point.

This study investigated the relationship between oral health knowledge, behavior and orthodontic satisfaction in orthodontic patients visiting dental hospitals and clinics and provided suggestions to improve orthodontic patients' satisfaction. This study anayzed structured self-administered questionnaires collected from 245 patients who visited 5 dental clinics in Gwangju Metropolitan City. Regarding oral health knowledge, the highest percentage of correct answers was for the item "Cavities heal themselves over time" (97.1%), and the lowest percentage of correct answers was for the item "Cavity bacteria move from tooth to tooth" (16.7%). Five fluoride items showed a lower percentage of correct answers than those for cavity and gingival diseases. Regarding the survey on oral health behavior, the highest score was found for the item "I brush my teeth with a certain method and order" (3.78 out of 5), and the lowest score was found for the item "I use an electric toothbrush" (1.34 out of 5). Regarding the survey on orthodontic satisfaction, the highest score was found for the item "I would recommend receiving medical treatment at the department of orthodontics" (4.23), and the lowest score was found for the item "Orthodontic cost is reasonable" (3.46). While oral health behavior had on orthodontic satisfaction, oral health knowledge had no effect on it. Oral health behaviors should be improved to enhance orthodontic satisfaction. To improve oral health behavior, it is necessary to develop and activate education programs for tooth brushing and oral care for orthodontic patients.

Pemphigus vulgaris is a rin, chronic intraepidermal bullous disease with potentially fatal outcome. Oral lesions precede skin lesions in at least $70\%$ of cases, and in cutaneous disease, concomitant oral lesions are encountered in $90\%$ of patients. This disorder involve the skin and mucous membranes, especially the oral and pharyngeal mucosa, but may also involve the nasal, oropharyngeal, laryngeal and esophageal mucosa. Oral lesions are initially vesicobullous but rapidly rupture, leaving a painful erosion that shows little tendency to heal. Pemphigus vulgaris affecting the oral mucosa is still diagnosed only after considerable delay, because oral ulceration in common, and clinicians believed the lesions to be caused by more common conditions such as recurrent aphthous stomatitis rather than a rare disorder such as pemphigus vulgaris. The definitive diagnosis of pemphigus vulgaris should be undertaken as early as possible, so that treatment can be started at an earl·y stage. Because of the presence of nonspecific oral ulcer, high degree of suspicion is often required to ultimately make the diagnosis of pemphigus vulgaris and then we report a case of pemphigus vulgaris with a literature review.

Fatigue tests were carried out to find the fatigue characteristics in the super-long life range by using a cantilever type rotational bending fatigue test machine. Three kinds of specimen in bearing steels with the quenched and tempered in air (A and B, B: shot peened after heal treatment) and under vacuum conditions(C:non-shot peened)were tested in this study. S-N curves obtained from fatigue tests of C specimen tend to come dawn again in the super-long life range due to fish-eye type cracking, while most of A and B specimens fractured by surface defects such as scratches and slip lines. This duplex S-N behavior for the high strength steels have to be reviewed by the change of fracture modes.

Objectives : To see if Clinical study on 1 Case of patient with the foot drop diagnosed as peripheral neuropathy suggest further treatment plan for more effective cure. Methods : To heal foot drop diagnosed as peripheral neuropathy using herbal medicine wooseul-tangkami and electronic acupuncture on the Yangmyung channel(陽明經) selected in The Yellow Emperor's of internal Medicine and on Panggwang channel(膀胱經) considered as painful lesion. Results : we experienced a case of foot drop diagnosed as the peripheral neuropathy the patient was treated by wooseul-tangkami, and electric acupuncture on Yangmyung channel and also Panggwang channel and had a significant improvement in gait ability and the range of motion. Conclusion : Herbal medicine wooseul-tangkami, and electric acupuncture on Yangmyung channel and also Panggwang channel was prescribed in the perpective of oriental medicine when treating foot drop, Wooseul-tangkami is used to remove the wetness-heat evil and had shown significant improvement in gait ability and the range of motion.

To investigate the effect of yeast glucan on wound healing in rabbits, histopathological findings and wound contraction after topical application of glucan on the open wound were observed. Formalin fixation and embedding of tissues at wound were prepared for histopathological findings at the other day after wounding. Wound size was measured for contraction. Macrophages appeared in the deeper site under the scab at day 1 after wounding in the glucan treated group, but not in the control. A number of macrophages, fibroblasts and a small number of neutrophils were observed at day 3 after wounding In the glucan treated group as compared with the control. Histopathological findings at day 5 after wounding in control were similar with those at day 3 in the glucan treated group. Glucan like granules were scattered in the cytoplasm of macrophages at day 5 in the glucan treated group. A great portion of wound reepithelialized at day 5 in the glucan treated group but a small portion of wound in the control. The Present study indicated that the treatment of 5,000$\mu\textrm{g}$/$m\ell$ of glucan has an effect on wound heal. ins in respect to migration of macrophage into the wound site, granulation tissue formation and epithelialization.

Physical wedges still can be used as missing tissue compensators or filters to alter the shape of isodose curves in a target volume to reach an optimal radiotherapy plan without creating a hotspot. The aim of this study was to investigate the dosimetric properties of physical wedges filters such as off-axis photon fluence, photon spectrum, output factor and half value layer. The photon beam quality of a 6 MV Primus Siemens modified by 150 and 450 physical wedges was studied with BEAMnrc Monte Carlo (MC) code. The calculated present depth dose and dose profile curves for open and wedged photon beam were in good agreement with the measurements. Increase of wedge angle increased the beam hardening and this effect was more pronounced at the heal region. Using such an accurate MC model to determine of wedge factors and implementation of it as a calculation algorithm in the future treatment planning systems is recommended.

Spices are used to enhance the taste of Korean food. The term "Yangnyeom" contains a wishful meaning that it would be as good for health as medicine when eaten. It is prescribed as a medicine to heal disease according to the ancient medical books. Fifteen spices in Korean food such as vinegar, liquor, honey, water, wheat-gluten, sesame, sesame oil, garlic, green onion, ginger, mustard, pepper, cinnamon, soy sauce, salt, cheoncho, and others are prescribed as medicine for internal and external uses for almost every disease. To examine these spices, the subjects were treated with either the spice-boiled water or spice-mixed water, or applied externally. It is suggested that spices that are produced through peculiar traditional cooking method, fermenting, and those that have long-growth period, grew in the natural environment, and the like have efficacy as medicine. Spices can be sufficiently applied as emergency medicine, disease-treatment, subsidiary supplement, and preventive medicine.

A special medical compression garment has been developed to be worn after surgery or treatment using an elastic fiber in which the amount of compression can be adjusted to a specified targeted area to reduce the formation of hypertrophic scarring. In order to develop this medical compression garments, specialized technical skill in fiber, compression class and body measurements are needed. This study provides product survey data for the development of medical compression garments. An investigation analyzed medical compression garments of 16 brands from 6 countries sold in the Korean market & online, such as Make Me Heal, Jobst, Bio Concepts, Design Veronique$^{(R)}$ Nouvelle and Leonisa$^{(R)}$ (USA), Respire(Germany), Malcom$^{(R)}$, Holistic garments and Jobskin(UK), Technomed, kanav Healthcare and Sindhoori surgicals(India), Soo medical and C&C medical(Korea), Secondskin(Australia). The main fibers of compression garments were nylon and spandex: in addition, the fiber content was different by country and brand. The number of compression classes of products was USA(4), UK(4), and India(4). For body measurements, USA and many brands used (bust, under bust, waist, hip, thigh, knee, calf, ankle, upper arm, elbow, wrist, armhole bicep) circumference and length.

We studied whether chemical strengthening can heal the flaws on soda-lime silicate glass. Artificial surface cracks were introduced on the glass by sharp indentation with various loads of 0.1 to 10 N. Then, the glasses with flaws were treated by ion-exchanging in KNO₃ melt. The change in the dimension of the crack on glass was measured by a digital microscope and a scanning electron microscope. The chemical strengthening treatment enhances the strength of the glass with flaws. It is thought that the melted KNO₃ not only forms the depth of the compressed layer of 7.5 ㎛, but also heals the cracks by infiltrating them and expanding the glass on both sides of the cracks. The critical length (2c) of the cracks on soda-lime glass that can be healed by chemical strengthening is 50 ㎛ or less.
