  • The anterior guidance is one of the important factors in prosthodontic treatment of anterior teeth. The lingual surface shape of anterior restorations is so critical that small errors of treatment procedure can cause discomfort of the patient and disharmony of the dentition. If the anterior restorations are achieved harmonious anterior guidance through the fabrication and adjustment of provisional restorations, it is important to accurately reproduce the lingual surface shape of provisional restorations as the final prosthesis. In this case report, it was used the modified Dahl principle and copy-milled technique of computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) system for systematic diagnosis and treatment. Therefore, we tried to reconstruct the restoration shape more precisely by setting the appropriate anterior guidance and superimposing the digital image of the abutment teeth and the provisional restorations. Thus, by promoting functional and esthetic recovery, this case report demonstrates satisfying results to both the patients and dentist.

  • Gojong' Birth Anniversary Memorial Banquet in the 1910s was forced to be performed differently from the performance style in Joseon Dynasty period that featured a harmonious majestic beauty of etiquette music. The banquet was separated into three different sessions of ceremony, luncheon and performance', which clearly revealed a distinctive pattern of etiquette music. The performance was accompanied by the dinner party or was lightly implemented as part of evening entertainment. With the use of the term entertainment, the performances belonging to this category fell into nothing but something to enjoy, amusement, fun and play. The contents of such performances were not closely woven into the fabric of the entire banquet but were individualized and scattered in a way of putting the performances in a state of flux in line with the circumstances. Therefore, it became increasingly hard to expect a high degree of completion and solid structure of performances. The items of performance included western music, popular vocal music, popular instrumental music, magic, and film, which were not played in traditional court banquet in the presence of Gojong rather than traditional music and dance performed in court. In other words, the court performance could not maintain its traditional heritage but was transformed into a mixture of popular performance and new forms of art. It was driven by the Japanese imperialism toward the atmosphere of entertainment in oblivion of tradition but not toward the external extension of court performances.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze characteristics of the method of education or learning reflected in the teacher-student relationship in On Haeng Lok By Toe-gye and explore their relevance to modern education. By writing various works and conversing with his students, Toe-gye devoted himself in the education of the traditional Confucian principles. Specially, he taught his students based on two Confucian educative principles, namely Shim Deuk(心得) and Goong Haeng(躬行). Judging from this, Toe-gye can be seen as someone who tries to fulfill the role of teacher as dictated in the educative principles of the Confucianism. In Confucianism, teacher is responsible for forming a well-rounded view on life in student, rather than simply transmitting knowledge. As such, the teacher was supposed to find a harmonious way to create something new based on what was inherited from the past generation and try to do his best in learning new things himself and teaching his students. These Toe-gye managed to do successfully, earning his students' trust and respect. Being moved and inspired by their teacher, the students continued their intellectual pursuit. This relationship between Toe-gye and his students can be analyzed from the perspective of education method and discussed in terms of cognitive learning and adult learning. In terms of cognitive learning, the education method reflected in the relationship is similar to potential learning, insight learning, and imitation learning. In terms of adult learning, it is similar to self-directed learning and communicative learning.!

The thoughts and contemplation in GUANZI mostly contain practical issues of politics, law and economy, as well as military policy and also get involved in the education pursuing an organic relationship therewith. In GUANZI, the rule of law and morality were applied to the politics in a harmonious fashion. Although the text upheld agrarian-oriented policy in connection with nation's economy, it, however, succeeded to secure the national wealth by having implemented the polices concerned with industry and commerce in an appropriate manner. In addition, he established strong military organization through political stability and by securing economic strength. In short, this is the policy in order to pursue 'a rich nation with a strong military.' Under such situation, education made a positive contribution to meet the realistic needs in order for reinforcement of politics, economy, and military. In the level of moral education that will set right the decorum and proprieties of the people, and their loyalty and integrity, vocational training that enabled the four divisions of society, that is, the official class, farmers, artisans and merchants, to carry out their given jobs successfully was highly valued in GUANZI. • Gusadang Kim, Nak-Haeng is a scholar of 18th century in Yeongnam region who wrote about 130 Chinese poems. In this study, I searched Gusadang's inner world by interpreting his Chinese poems. His life is closely related to his father Jesan Kim, Seong-Tak who was exiled. The fact that he devoted himself to his father for 10 years shows he had strong standards in making decisions in life. In short, Gusadang was a person who looked gentle but was tough inside and he remained firm in his faith even with outside pressure. He could not achieve glory because he spent time serving his father in his thirties. Although he heard compliments from others that he was talented enough to succeed as a scholar, he lacked time and mental energy to study. Also, he was a moralist and wrote some poems about impressive events in his life even though he did not fully devote himself to writing poems. In this study, I searched his inner world focusing on how he felt and thought about outside world by analyzing his poems. In conclusion, I found three characteristics from his poems. Firstly, depressed feelings are shown based on excessive self-consciousness in the poems related to his father. Secondly, his will to keep balance in life is shown because he wanted a harmonious life as a seeker after truth. Thirdly, a sense of isolation is shown because he had to keep a distance from outside world.

  • This article proceeds to scrutinizing a oral tradition called the story of ruining one's family by daughter-in-law's cutting-condemnation conducive to any estimation of Koreans' religious mentality. This oral tradition begins with mischievous behaviors of daughter-in-law. She cut away any materials, which a vagabond monk of Buddhism identified as a source of solacing numberless visitors to her house. Tired of serving all the visitors, she cut away the material. It caused her parents-in-law's house to be collapsed. At a first glance, the daughter-in-law appears to be blamed for the collapse. Interestingly, no one cannot be blamed for the misfortune. A face value of the text does not show that the fate of misfortune comes from any ethical misconduct and its posterior mishandling. Behind this oral tradition, by the way, lies the consciousness that relates misfortune with a ceremony of cutting away any unique material; cutting away any material, cutting away the trend of coming visitors, and cutting away the mood of prosperity becomes identical. The thematic mentality of the text reveals a religious consciousness of seeing human beings' life to be identical with nature. This oral tradition must have focused on the importance of a harmonious relationship between human beings and nature.

  • Vietnam is a country where the largest number of Korean companies have branched out, and calibers who can speak Vietnamese are on great demands. In the multicultural classroom, students of Vietnamese background occupy the first or second largest composition among students with multicultural backgrounds; therefore, if teachers can teach in Vietnamese, the positive effects can be promising. This study presents and evaluates a Vietnamese language class developed and operated for the first time in Korea by a university to raise prospective teachers' global-multicultural competences. Two series of the classes were conducted during two vacations of 2018, and 20 students participated. As a results, the groups showed a significant increase in the global-multicultural competences; About 95 percent of the participants demonstrated improvement in the competences. The participants stated opinions: the classes should expand to offer opportunities for many other students who may want to acquire Vietnamese; the participants had better understandings of the Vietnamese cultures, envisioned their role as a Vietnamese speaker and suggested extended opportunities for contacts with Vietnamese cultures. The study hopes that other universities apply the educational model and the case study and that, as a result, teachers can contribute to building harmonious Korean-Vietnamese relations using Vietnamese.

  • Based on the theoretical review of social cooperatives and the results of the fourth round of fact-finding, this study tried to discuss the sustainability of social co-operatives from the social, economic, and environmental aspects, focusing on the seven principles of co-operatives. The issue of sustainability is "a development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs, the use of resources, the direction of investment, technological advances and institutional change in harmony with one another. as defined as "a process of change that advances the needs and desires of all future generations". It contains the meaning of connecting a sustainable society to future generations through harmony and balance, rather than opposing concepts of social value, environmental conservation, and economic growth. As a result of arranging the concept of social, economic, and environmental sustainability contained in sustainable development, and the seven principles of cooperatives and their connections, I would like to suggest the following about the sustainability of social cooperatives. First, efforts should be made for social contribution closely related to the local community. Second, it is necessary to create a profit model along with the public interest. Third, partnerships should be strengthened. When examining the public values and objectives that social cooperatives want to realize through this study, the three scopes of sustainable development are directly related to the role of important actors in pursuing social and economic values that social and economic organizations are facing. would. Therefore, the sustainability issue of social cooperatives is based on the concept that the goals and values pursued by social cooperatives are harmonious and balanced development in the environmental, social, and economic aspects, not only their own efforts but also the institutional support of the government. this will have to be presented.
