전동식 직접 구동형 능동 엔진 마운트의 설계 (Design of Active Control Engine Mount Using Direct Drive Electrodynamic Actuator)

  • This paper is focused on design of a new active control engine mount (ACM), which is compact in size and cost effective. The ACM, consisting of an electrodynamic actuator as the active element, flat springs and a sliding ball joint, is different in structure from the previous ACM designs based on the conventional hydraulic engine mount. Dynamic characteristics of the proposed ACM are extensively investigated before a prototype ACM, which meets the design specifications, is built in the laboratory. For cost effectiveness, a feed-forward control algorithm without a feedback sensor is used for reduction of the transmitted force through the ACM from the engine. The prototype ACM is then harmonic-tested with a rubber testing machine for verification of its control performance as well as adequacy of modeling. Experimental results show that the proposed ACM is capable of reducing the transmitted force by 20 dB up to the frequency range of 60 Hz.

헬리컬기어 가진에 의한 원통형 기어박스 모델의 진동음향 특성 (Vibro-acoustic Characteristics of a Cylindrical Shell Type Gearbox Models by Helical Gear Excitation)

  • Helical gear excitation is transmitted to a gearbox through the shafts and bearings and the vibration of the gearbox radiates the noise in the air. Therefore gearbox modeling is essential to evaluate the gear noise. This work deals with vibration and acoustic analysis of a cylindrical shell-type gearbox with/without holes excited by helical gears and focuses on the development of the simple gearbox model. To do so, helical gears and bearing forces are calculated. Gearbox with/without holes is modeled by the aluminum end plates and PMMA cylindrical shell body. The vibration mode and the forced harmonic response were calculated by the commercial FE software and the end plate of the gearbox is more contributed to vibration than the body. Acoustic analysis was also conducted by the commercial acoustic software and a cylindrical shell type gearbox with/without holes has the similar vibro-acoustic characteristics.

  • The Direct Quadrature Method of Moments (DQMOM) has been presented for the solution of population balance equation in the wide range of the multi-phase flows. This method has the inherently interesting features which can be easily applied to the multi-inner variable equation. In addition, DQMOM is capable of easily coupling the gas phase with the discrete phases while it requires the relatively low computational cost. Soot inception, subsequent aggregation, surface growth and oxidation are described through a population balance model solved with the DQMOM for soot formation. This approach is also able to represent the evolution of the soot particle size distribution. The turbulence-chemistry interaction is represented by the laminar flamelet model together with the presumed PDF approach and the spherical harmonic P-1 approximation is adopted to account for the radiative heat transfer.

  • In this report the large-signal RF performance of GaN MESFETs at different operating temperatures is investigated using a harmonic balance modeling technique. The predicted device performance calculated by the large-si anal model of a GaN FET is shown to be in good agreement with experimen tar data. It is demonstrated that the optimal RF performance of a GaN MESFET amplifier is achieved by balancing the input impedence for a optimized de sign. A GaN MESFET with the optimized design is predicted to produce maximum RF output power of about 4W/mm and 1W/mm at room temperature and 773 K, respectively. The device produces a peak Power-Added Efficiency (PAE) of 52% and 32% at the two temperatures.

  • This paper presents the modeling and simulation studies, using PSCAD/EMTDC, for the operation of DR(Distributed Resources) connected to the power system. In this study, we model the DR operated in parallel with the distribution system and simulate several operation modes of DR.   • The position control accuracy of the robot arm is decreased significantly when a long arm robot is operated at high speed. In this case, the robot arm must be modeled as a flexible structure, not a rigid one, and its control system will be necessarily designed with its elastic modes taken into account. In this paper, the vibration control of a one-link flexible robot arm is presented. The robot system consists of a flexible arm manufactured with thin aluminium plate, AC servomotor with a harmonic drive for speed reduction, optical encoder and accelerometer. The system is modeled with limited number of elastic modes, and its parameters are determined from the results of the experiments. The implemented control schemes are LQ control and sliding mode control. The experiments and digital simulations are carried out to test the validity of the system modeling, controller design, and active control implementation.

  • Conventional robots actuated by motors with the speed reducer such as harmonic drive had weakness in delivering loads, pressing, grinding, and cutting jobs. To overcome this, a new type of robot actuated by the ball screw was proposed. The ball screw is actuated by using four bar mechanism. The dynamics model of the robot was set up. The robot has parameter uncertainties and nonlinearlity due to the ball screw actuator. To coordinate the robot, the sliding-mode control was applied.

  • This paper deals with analysis of armature reaction magnetic field of linear generator with three phases coreless/cored type concentrated winding. On the basis of a magnetic vector potential and Maxwell's equations, governing equations to predict armature reaction field are derived, and current density modeling is also performed analytically by using the Fourier series expansion. The analytical method used in this paper is confirmed by comparing with finite element analysis results.

가로수 유형별 모델링을 통한 가로공간 조도분포에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Lighting Distribution on Road Space by Modeling Roadside Tree Types)

  • This study proposes lighting simulation approach to assess lighting quality on motor ways and walk ways considering each type of form and growth of roadside trees. Simulation approach to assess quality of lighting is frequently used for lighting design which guarantees secure of drivers and pedestrians during the night time. But, road side trees which have diverse benefits for citizens acts on obstacles during night time needs lighting. The results of this study shows a possible way for tuning the aims of both lighting and road side tree. It will be possible to develop harmonic design standards for road way lighting if further study achieved based on the result of this study.

Harmonic Structure Features for Robust Speaker Diarization

  • In this paper, we present a new approach for speaker diarization. First, we use the prosodic information calculated on the original speech to resynthesize the new speech data utilizing the spectrum modeling technique. The resynthesized data is modeled with sinusoids based on pitch, vibration amplitude, and phase bias. Then, we use the resynthesized speech data to extract cepstral features and integrate them with the cepstral features from original speech for speaker diarization. At last, we show how the two streams of cepstral features can be combined to improve the robustness of speaker diarization. Experiments carried out on the standardized datasets (the US National Institute of Standards and Technology Rich Transcription 04-S multiple distant microphone conditions) show a significant improvement in diarization error rate compared to the system based on only the feature stream from original speech.
