  • As the number of harmful sites increases, many social problems are occurring. Therefore, in order to solve this problem, the government is carrying out activities to block access to web sites to harmful sites based on the law. However, due to the change from HTTP to HTTPS protocol, it has become difficult to block the harmful sites in the existing method. In the existing HTTP protocol, a method of blocking the site corresponding to the harmful site domain list by utilizing the DNS information was used. However, due to the generalization of HTTPS, it is difficult to block the harmful sites in the existing method. Therefore, the ISP uses the method of blocking the website using the SNI field in the TLS (Transport Layer Security) Handshake protocol used for HTTPS. However, since the method using SNI field raises the concern of monitoring Internet users or exposing information about connected sites, in this paper, we proposed method which can support anonymity to Internet users while blocking harmful sites. The suggested method also can support integrity and source authentication to the transmitted data.

  • The circulation of unwholesome information such as obscene and violent information is gradually increasing based on the rapid expansion of information communications infrastructure. Those kinds of information are harmful to the adolescents and even cause social problems so that active countermeasure is requited. In order to cope with the spread of unwholesome information, appropriate regulating methods are absolutely in need by establishing or revising information communications-related laws. In this paper, we had analyzed domestic and foreign programs with existing harmful information blocking method, and then designed and implemented a selective blocking program based on Platform for Internet Contents Selection(PICS) by using selective blocking technology based on Internet contents rating system. We also proposed a compromised rating system blocking method that consists of selective filtering function by age and the popular blocking list. The proposed system has advantages in that there would be no increase in network load resulting from blocking list update and inquiry, it is possible to perform active selective filtering considering user's age, and it may introduce self-imposed rating.

  • Harmful contents on a mobile platform are becoming serious problems to young people due to the prevalence of smart phones with the fast development of mobile technology. Mobile applications and contents are so much optimized on the mobile environment that young men are exposed to many harmful contents. A system for blocking harmful contents is suggested in this study. The system includes a local proxy function, filtering module, and local database in order to increase the blocking efficiency. The local proxy function and the filtering module are implemented on an Android platform, and the local database are running on a PC-based server. The suggested system perfectly blocks harmful contents, and shows relatively high speed.

  • As internet activates, web sites that supply images harmful to the emotion of youth are overflowing rapidly. Chances that the youth approach to the harmful sites are increasing, and then the emotion of youth is damaged seriously. In this paper, we present the system that distinguish harmful ones from images in the web documents of user-accessed URLs and output the document after blocking images harmful to the youth. As the results of the experiments about performance of the web-images blocking system, we found the utility factor of blocking harmful images of the proposed system is 89.6% in the full nudity 70.1% in the half nudity, and the error rate is 2.4% in the face images.

  • Problems related to information overload and harmful information have already expanded to national social problems as well as personal problems. This study explores the causes of Internet addiction, exposure to harmful information, malicious comments, fake information/information manipulation, and new alternatives that have recently been felt as social problems. Assuming that existing technologies/policies were not applied effectively, psychological cause analysis was performed for the fundamental problem approach. As a result, internal problems such as obsession with knowledge/understanding of wrong information/black and white stereotypes and prejudice were analyzed as main causes. Each proposed solution aims to help improve national technology/policy regarding internet addiction and blocking harmful information.

  • This paper proposes on the technical blocking method of Internet harmful pornographic sites which is the most Internet negative-function. At Present, most technical methods based on web sites back-searching or words filtering for blocking the pornographic Internet sites have limitations. For this, this paper proposes the acoustic and image based blocking method for filtering harmful Internet sites. For this, sexual main body parts are extracted by texture analysis and curve fitting. Also acoustic signals are analyzed using pratt tool and auto-correlation function is adopted for matching between prototype signals and test signals. Finally, the effectiveness of this paper is demostrated by several experiments.

  • More and richer information sources and services are available on the web everyday. However, harmful information, such as adult content, is not appropriate for all users, notably children. Since internet is a worldwide open network, it has a limit to regulate users providing harmful contents through each countrie's national laws or systems. Additionally it is not a desirable way of developing a certain system-specific classification technology for harmful contents, because internet users can contact with them in diverse ways, for example, porn sites, harmful spams, or peer-to-peer networks, etc. Therefore, it is being emphasized to research and develop context-based core technologies for classifying harmful contents. In this paper, we propose an efficient text filter for blocking harmful texts of web documents using context-based technologies and examine which algorithms for feature selection, the process that select content terms, as features, can be useful for text categorization in all content term occurs in documents, are suitable for classifying harmful contents through implementation and experiment.

  • Recently, blocking harmful contents such as adult images has been widely researched. However, most of adult image blocking methods use flush color model without shape information. In this paper, we present a new adult image blocking methods based on shape and color information. In the first step, the shape is considered. In the second step, adult images are detected using skin color model. Considering both shape and color, the detection rate can be increased. We evaluate adult image detection performance using sample images.

To intercept those entire harmful information sites, it using contents basis isolating. Instead of using existing methods, it picks most frequent using composed key words and adds all those harmful words' harmfulness degree point by using 'ICEC(Information Communication Ethics Committee)' suggested harmful word classification. To testify harmful information blocking system, to classify the harmful information site, set standard harmfulness degree point as 3.5 by the result of a fore study, after that pick up a hundred of each 'Harmful information site' and 'General site' randomly to classify them through new classification system. By this classification could found this new classification system classified 78% of 'Harmful Site' to "Harmful information site' and 96% of 'General Site' to 'General site'. As a result, successfully confirm validity of this new classification system.

However, with function of easy access for useful information, internet has dysfunctions of providing users with harmful contents indiscriminately. Some information, such as adult content, is not appropriate for all users, notably children. Additionally for adults, some contents included in abnormal porn sites can do ordinary people's mental health harm. In the meantime, since Internet is a worldwide open network it has a limit to regulate users providing harmful contents through each countrie's national laws or systems.
