The hard turning is a turning operation performed in high strength alloy steels (HRC>30) in order to reach surface roughness close to those obtained in grinding. This is possible because of availability of improved tool materials (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride. PCBN), ad more rigid machine tools. According to many previous work of hard turning mechanism, the maximum temperature of cutting can be raised up to 100$0^{\circ}C$. As the heat generation rate is very high, the thermal displacement of tool holder cannot be negligible. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to analyze effects of high heat generation at CBN tool tip to the thermal displacement of a tool holder in hard turning and finally geometric accuracy. The thermal behavior of a CBN tool holder is investigated by numerical simulation and experiment, and the result shows thermal elongation of microns order is possible during hard turning process.

ATM기술은 ITU나 ATM Forum과 같은 표준화 기관에서 B-ISDN서비스를 전송하기 위한 기술로 표준화 되어 왔다. 현재는 ATM기술이 복잡하여 인터넷 트래픽을 전송하도록 MPLS와 같은 백본기술로 채택되고 있다. 그러나 ATM프로토콜은 BcN망등에서 많이 채택될 것이다. 본 논문은 ATM기반 시스템에서 네트워크의 정보를 이용하여 HTR코드를 기법을 적용하여, 코드를 검출하고, 등록하는 기법에 대해 논하고 자 한다. 고속의 circuit switching시스템에서 HTR코드 제어는 필수적이며, 본 논문에서는 HTR코드검출 및 Fuzzy제어방식을 통해 실험결과를 보인다. 본 방법에 의해 제시된 실험결과는 체증상태를 신속히 제어하며 시스템 자원을 최대한 활용하고, 적은 부하로서도 효율적으로 제어함을 보인다.

Pfair 알고리즘은 다중 프로세서 환경에서 경성 실시간 태스크 집합을 스케줄링 하는 최적 알고리즘인데, 고정된 퀀텀 크기를 기반으로 한다. 최근 mode change 환경에서 도달 함수를 이용하여 최적 퀀텀을 동적으로 결정하는 방법들이 제안되었는데, 이 방법들에서는 최적 퀀텀을 구하기 위해 순차 탐색을 해야 되는 경우가 많이 발생하였다. 본 논문에서는 개선된 도달 함수를 이용하여 최적 퀀텀을 보다 빠르게 구할 수 있는 새로운 방법을 제안하였다.

We study the maximum integer multiflow problem and the minimum multicut problem in a ring network. Both problems in a general network are known to be NP-hard. In this paper, we develop polynomial time algorithms to solve the problems. We also prove that even In a ring network, maximum multiflow is not always integral, which implies that the amount of maximum integer flow does not always reach the minimum capacity of multicut.

PVC is a kind of electric insulation polymer. But we get some deteriorations in electrical characteristics of the PVC, when it is used on the radioactive field. In order to find out the cause of the deterioration, we investigate the surface-resistance, volume-resistance, dielectric constant and dielectric loss angle of the soft and hard PVC which is irradiated by the Co$^{60}$ .gamma. radioactivity. From the experiment, we can conclude the followings 1. Radio-activity proof characteristic in the soft PVC is stronger than in the hard PVC. 2. The resistance of PVC which is irradiated by the radio-activity decrease exponentially. 3. The dielectric constant and the dielectric loss angle of PVC irradiated by Co$^{60}$ .gamma.ray reach maximum value in first few time.

PURPOSE: This pre-post intervention study aimed to examine the effects of a 12-week supervised modified Taekwondo exercise program on the functional fitness of community-dwelling older adults. METHODS: 10 participants (mean age: 72.3 ± 4.6 years) completed the program over a 12-week period. The intervention consisted of Taekwondo-based exercises modified for older persons. Changes to functional fitness were measured using the finger-to-nose test, functional reach test, timed up and go test, 30-second sit-to-stand test, 30-second arm curl test, Chester step test, chair sit-and-reach test, and back scratch test. Participants were assessed prior to the training and after the final training session, changes were measured using descriptive statistics and paired sample 't' tests. RESULTS: Effect sizes ranged from small to large (Cohen's d = .22 to 1.23). The exercise program was well- tolerated by participants, with a high level of engagement and no attrition for the duration of the program. Results showed significant improvements in most measures of functional fitness (p < .05) except for the back scratch test (p = .051). CONCLUSION: These findings suggest a well-designed, supervised, modified Taekwondo exercise program can significantly improve functional fitness in older adults.

According to recent trend, hard disk drive(HDD) has been smaller and less weight. Therefore, it needs new method of writing position information. In this thesis, a new controller that is suitable for SSW is proposed. The controller accepted SSW technology that is used to write position information in current HDD industry. The important condition to perform SSW is to reach constant velocity decided from the head velocity profile as fast as possible. The constant velocity decides the positional accuracy of spiral pattern and setup time decides the capacity of HDD. The head velocity profile as a reference signal must be designed not to cause resonance mode. The proposed controller was designed with consideration of these 3 elements, and it properly works for SSW. The velocity profile designed with SMART control not only minimizes the jerk, but also does not cause the resonance mode of a plant. After designing a conventional PID controller, it compared with electrical spring technique and ZPET technique.

MIMO 시스템에서 ML 검출 기법은 많은 다른 검출기들보다 우수한 성능을 보인다. 그러나 ML 검출기법은 NP-hard 문제로 인해 실제 시스템에서 사용하기 어려운 단점을 가지고 있다. 이것은 polynomial-time 안에 최적의 해 (optimal solution)를 찾을 수 없음을 의미한다. 본 논문에서는 ML problem을 적용한 SDR (Semi-Definite Relaxation)에 궤환기법을 통한 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이는 SDR에 의해 구한 최적의 해를 spectral decomposition을 이용해 우세한 eigenvector를 찾아 송신 신호의 확률 분포를 구하고, 이를 수신 신호에 궤환 시킨다. 이는 또 다른 ML problem으로써 다시 SDR를 통해 최적의 해를 구하고 우세한 eigenvector에 해당하는 송신 신호 확률을 구한다. 이 확률은 ML problem에 해당하는 최적의 값으로 추정 송신 신호를 검출할 수 있다. 이러한 기법을 통해 최적 성능을 갖는 ML 검출 기법의 성능에 보다 더 가깝게 접근하였다.

Trustless, depression, happiness is a normal human emotion that everyone experiences at times. People face problems and hard circumstances every day due to an environment, social life, or traumatic developments in their lives. This study focused on a particular type of inconsistency patterns of behavior that experiences' students during the school time. Some students find depression interferes with their learning and test taking to such an extent that their grades are seriously affected. This study examined the awareness and readiness of a sample of Saudi Arabian high school teachers to recognize, understand, and respond to the ways in which students may respond to testing situations with depression. Findings suggest teachers learn from experience to use both direct and indirect ways to identify students with depression; employ test preparation and test taking strategies to help students reduce depression; and reach out to parents for additional assistance where teacher strategies are not sufficient.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to explore the academic failure experiences of Korean Medicine Students. The academic failure in a medical school is defined as the situation the student who have academic failure need to repeat their academic year again. Methods : Data were collected through in-depth individual interviews from April to May 2016 and analyzed through Colaizzi's phenomenological methodology. The participants were interviewed twice, for 30minutes to 60minutes per interview. Results : Eight theme-clusters of were identified from 21 themes. The theme-clusters were 'Dream of university life and freedom', 'Meeting Stranger academic field and growing study stress', 'Difficulty of self-management', 'Weak supporting system', 'Feeling of guilty, sense of isolation and decreasing in self-esteem', 'The experience during the vacation after the academic failure', 'The experience of returning to school' and 'Self growing through hard experience'. Conclusions : Understanding of academic failure experience of Korean Medicine Students is an important approach to counsel them and an important way to reach a good model of education at a medical college.
