포항신항 도제 축조에 따른 정온도 개선 효과분석 (Evaluation of Harbour Tranquility Improvement in Pohang New Port by Detached Breakwater)

  • 포항신항이 단계별로 완공된 후 제기되어 온 항내정온도 불량 문제는 항만가동율 저하의 주요 원인으로 제기되어 왔으며 이의 개선을 위해 2018~2020년 포항신항 외항방파제의 외해 측에 도제(Detached breakwater)를 건설하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도제의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 도제 설치 전후로 취득된 항내외의 파랑 관측자료를 분석하여 항내에서의 파고감소율을 비교한 결과를 제시한다. 먼저 이전 수치모델 연구를 통해 예측된 파고는 항내 4개 지점 중 3개 지점에서 관측값과 비슷하게 나타났으며 나머지 1개 지점에서의 오차는 수치모델이 부두 안쪽에 발생하는 중복파 현상을 잘 재현하지 못했기 때문으로 판단된다. 도제 건설 전후 기간의 관측값을 비교한 결과 도제 설치가 항내정온도 개선에 기여한 것으로 나타났는데, 항내 4개 관측지점 모두에서 포항신항 정온 목표파고인 0.3 m를 초과하는 파고의 출현빈도가 도제 건설 후에 크게 감소하였다. 또한 항내외 파고를 비교한 항내 파고 감소율도 모든 파향에 대해 도제 건설 후에 유의미하게 개선된 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 적절하게 설치된 연안구조물이 항내정온도 향상에 기여하는 효과를 증명한 것으로 향후 유사한 경우의 문제 해결에 유용하게 적용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • In this paper, vibration response of gravity-type caisson breakwater is analyzed to suggest the direction for structural health monitoring (SHM) on harbor caisson structure. To achieve the objective, the following approaches are implemented. Firstly, vibration analysis methods are selected to examine the dynamic characteristics of the lab-scale caisson in the frequency and the modal domain. Secondly, vibration tests on the lab-scale caisson breakwater which is installed in 2-D wave tank were performed under several water level conditions. Thirdly, vibration response of the lab-scale caisson were analyzed in the frequency and modal domain. Finally, the direction of SHM for gravity-type caisson breakwater was suggested.

가동식 잠수 방파제의 유체동력학적 성능 수치해석 (Numerical Analysis of Hydrodynamic Performance of a Movable Submerged Breakwater)

  • Numerical analysis of hydrodynamic performance of a movable submerged breakwater was carried out as an eco-friendly marine structure for coastal and harbor protection. Using boundary elements method with two-dimensional frequency-domain reflection and transmission coefficients and wave forces acting on the submerged flat plate were calculated with various submerged depths and respective motion allowable modes. The movable breakwater was found to be more efficient in wave-blocking than the fixed structure. Variation of reflection coefficients was significantly influenced by vertical motion of the body.

  • 본 논문에서는 부분 반사 반무한 방파제 또는 방파제 개구부에 사각으로 입사하는 파의 산란에 대한해석 해를 유도하였다. 유도된 해의 타당성을 검토하기 위하여, 완전 반사의 경우에 대하여, McIver 및 Bowen andMcIver가 1999년과 2002년에 각각 반무한 방파제와 방파제 개구부에 대하여 유도한 식의 결과와 비교하였다. 또한 유도된 해석 해를 이용하여 방파제의 반사계수와 파의 입사각이 항 입구에서의 정온도에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 방파제의 반사계수가 증가함에 따라, 그리고 파가 사각으로 입사함에 따라, 반사파의 영향으로 항 입구의정온도가 악화된다.

2차원 연성모델을 적용한 불투과성 잠제 전면의 국부세굴 모의 (Numerical Simulation of Local Scour in Front of Impermeable Submerged Breakwater Using 2-D Coupled Hydro-morphodynamic Model)

  • In order to understand the characteristics of the topography change in front of an impermeable breakwater, a coupled model for a two-way analysis of the existing LES-WASS-2D and newly developed morphodynamic model was suggested. A comparison to existing experimental results revealed that the results computed using the 2-D hydro-morphodynamic model were in good agreement with the experimental results for the wave form, pore water pressure in the seabed, and topographical change in front of a submerged breakwater. It was shown that the two-way model suggested in this study is applicable to a morphological change in the seabed around a submerged breakwater. Then, using the numerical results, the topographical changes in front of an impermeable submerged breakwater were examined in relation to partial standing waves. Moreover, the characteristics of the local scour depths in front of them are also discussed in relation to incident wave conditions, sediment qualities, and submerged breakwater shapes.

단주기 불규칙파에 의한 금진항 정온도 개선대책 연구 (Research on improvement measures of Harbor tranquility in Geumjin Fishing Port Excited by Incident Short Random Waves)

  • Most of the short period waves are blocked by the breakwaters when the short period irregular waves propagate into the ports. However, nonlinear irregular wave numerical experiments show that the long waves generated by the nonlinear interaction is predominant in the port. Seiches phenomenon in Geumjin Fishing Port is very similar to 60 and 300 second harbor oscillations. By arranging the inner breakwater of the proper length in the inside of the port, it is possible to effectively reduce seiches, as well as the short-period wave, and significantly improve the harbor tranquility. In the case of rectangular basin type such as the Geumjin Fishing Port, the multi-directional irregular wave numerical model should be used for the investigation and countermeasures for the harbor tranquility.

ADS 최적화 프로그램을 이용한 사석 방파제의 경제성 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Economic Design of Rubble Mould Breakwaters Using ADS(Automated Design Synthesis) Optimization Program)

  • In this paper, the method of determining the economically-optimal design section of rubble mound breakwater, using ADS program, was studied to supplement the deterministic approach. First of all, the design waves are computed, according to the return periods, using the Weibull distribution from the data of waves at the location of the breakwater. In order to take an optimal section, according to the return periods, the ADS program was used. The restriction conditions and objective functions are decided from the references of the specifications and standard manuals for Coastal and Harbor Construction Work. Results from this study support the ADS program as an appropriate method for determining the economically-optimal section of rubble mound breakwater, comparing the construction costs and the initial and damage repair costs for its life time.

  • 안목항의 방파제 확장 건설로 인하여 항 남측에 심각한 침식현상이 광범위하게 발생하고 있는 데 본 연구에서는 이를 규명하기 위하여 수지 분석법과 수치 해석적 방법이 수행되었다. 또한 효율적인 연안통합관리를 위한 주기적인 관측 및 분석 시스템의 필요성을 강조하고 상세한 표사 이동의 변화를 제공하는 수치모형 시스템이 제시되었고 연안관리의 측면에서 어떻게 활용될 수 있는 지 안목항 침식 문제를 통하여 살펴보았다. 수치모형 시스템은 토사의 재부상율과 중력에 의한 침강율의 차이로 해저면의 변화를 산정하는 데 파랑 변형, 해빈류, 그리고 부유사 이송 및 확산 예측 모형과 결합되었다. 또한 침강율 산정 시 필요한 수심 평균 부유사 농도와 해저면 부유사 농도의 새로운 관계가 부유사 수직구조의 수학적 분석으로부터 제시되었다.

Marina Development Impact on the Tranquility of Small Coast Harbor

  • Due to the increased demand for safety and security requirements on the port infrastructure, the harbor tranquility is one of the important parameter in the mooring basin of harbor. It relates keenly to berthing/unberthing and cargo handling works but also it is an important indicator to get the minimum water area as the safe refuge. Hupo harbor is a national coastal harbor located in east coast of Korea and a development plan for a new marina near the entrance is being carried out including berth layouts, breakwater extensions, 300m marina berths, dredging and land reclamation works. The new plan will impact on calmness of the existing port. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze in complex the variation of wave height and direction caused by wave refraction, diffraction, shoaling and reflection from the incident waves from outside the harbor. In order to check the calmness inside a harbor, the numerical models are being used currently need fundamental reviews according to the difference of results which depend on their respective features. In this study, hence, it was introduced the validity of numerical models by comparing the computational results with the hydraulic model experiment. The current investigations contribute to the existing development recommendations and provide further solutions for port planning.

조석이 큰 해역에서의 해안과정과 항만퇴적의 변화 (Variation of Beach Processes and Harbor Sedimentation in an Area of Large Tide)

  • In the past, the predictions of beach processes and harbor sedimentation were mainly relied on the hydraulic model tests and empirical methods. In recent years, however, as computers have come into wide use, more accurate models have gradually been developed and thus replaced those conventional methods. For prediction of topographical change near the coastal area, we need informations of wave and current conditions in the numerical model which should be calculated in advance. Numerical model introduced in this study combines wave refraction-diffraction, breaking, bottom friction, lateral mixing, and critical shear stress and three sub-models for simulating waves, currents, and bottom change were briefly discussed. Simulations of beach processes and harbor sedimentation were also described at the coast neighboring Bangpo Harbor, Anmyundo, Chungnam, where the area has suffered accumulation of drifting sand in a small fishing harbor with a wide tidal range. We also made model test for the new layout of the harbor and planned south breakwater for preventing intrusion of sand. Although the model study gave reasonable description of beach processes and harbor sedimentation mechanism, it is necessary to collect lots of field observation data, including waves, tides and bottom materials, etc. for better prediction.
