If an error occurs in the automatic mode when the advanced teleoperator system performs a task in hostile environment, then the mode changes into the manual mode. The operation by program and the operation by hyman recover the error in the manual mode. The system resumew the automatic mode and continues the given task. In order to utilize the inverse kinematics as means of the operation by program in the manual mode, Lee and Nagamachi determined the end point of the robot trajectory planning which varied with the height of the task object recognized by a T.V monitor, solved the end point by the fuzzy set theory, and controlled the position of the robot hand by the inverse kinematics and the posture of the robot hand by the operation by human. But the operation by human did take a lot of task time because the position and the posture of the robot hand were separately controlled. To reduce the task time by human, this paper developes an error recovery expert system (ERES). The position of the robot hand is controlled by the inverse kinematics of the cartesian coordinate system to the end point which is deter- mined by the fuzzy set theory. The posture of the robot hand is controlled by the modulality of the robot hand's motion which is made by the posture of the task object. The knowledge base and the inference engine of the ERES is developed using the muLISP-86 language. The experimental results show that the average task time by human the ERES which was performed by the integration of the position and the posture control of the robot hand is shorter than that of the research, done by the preliminary experiment, which was performed by the separation of the position and the posture control of the robot hand. A further study is likely to research into an even more intelligent robot system control usint a superimposed display and digitizer which can present two-dimensional coordinate of the work space for the convenience of human interaction.
This paper is the outcome of attempting to approach for reading the Analects of Confucius through the polysemy of Chinese character and indecidability of articles. For this purpose at first, I explained which this Chinese character can be applied for 'philosophy language'. In the 16th century Matteo Ricci had tried to find out the possibility of ideographic script as standing for a universal language. On the other hand, Hegel and Heidegger strictly insisted on the Chinese character is inappropriate for expressing the logic thought of the human being. The reason was as next; firstly, this character had not the preposition and articles, and secondly the only one word could not indicates the bisemy including the meaning of opposition, lastly this language system expresses and communicates only with the change of word order without inflection. But With some scholar like Cassirer, Saussure and Derrida we can confirm the possibility which will discover the Chinese character for using the logic and reasoning language of from different view. Because in the language system of this Chinese character the connection of words in contexts is more important other than meaning as the individual word, in comparison to the language of the West. The Chinese character hides the original meaning until being what kind of event and thing relationship watch inside with different letters. So to speak, the Chinese character is called as 'language of indecidability'. For these points, even though The Chinese character lacks of preposition, articles, and inflection speech etc. the letter systematic, this language system can play a role for expressing as the philosophic language which manages with the complicated problems of the human being.

Communication occurs through verbal elements, which usually involve language, as well as non-verbal elements such as facial expressions, eye contact, and gestures. In particular, among these non-verbal elements, gestures are symbolic representations of physical, vocal, and emotional behaviors. This means that gestures can be signals toward a target or expressions of internal psychological processes, rather than simply movements of the body or hands. Moreover, gestures with such properties have been the focus of much research for a new interface in the NUI/NUX field. In this paper, we propose a method for recognizing the number of fingers and detecting the hand region based on the depth information and geometric features of the hand for application to an NUI/NUX. The hand region is detected by using depth information provided by the Kinect system, and the number of fingers is identified by comparing the distance between the contour and the center of the hand region. The contour is detected using the Suzuki85 algorithm, and the number of fingers is calculated by detecting the finger tips in a location at the maximum distance to compare the distances between three consecutive dots in the contour and the center point of the hand. The average recognition rate for the number of fingers is 98.6%, and the execution time is 0.065 ms for the algorithm used in the proposed method. Although this method is fast and its complexity is low, it shows a higher recognition rate and faster recognition speed than other methods. As an application example of the proposed method, this paper explains a Secret Door that recognizes a password by recognizing the number of fingers held up by a user.
This study examined Korean sign Language of the linguistic form and the etymological forms about the origins of the Korean national sign languages. The general sign language has been shown through previous research all of place names from Chinese character except Seoul and Lmsil. And then, Sign language's form and origins which are current using in order to examine what kind of feature were analysed through interviews and publications in Korean association of the deaf people. As a result, it was analysed that was composed majority. indigenous sign language Korean place names were made and used by deaf than loan word character of Chinese characters, Hangul and loanword. When we consider that place names were correspond to a precious cultural heritage, representing the history with the culture and identity of the relevant area, we can worth of preservation and transmission to the abundant iconicity in the name of Sui. On the other hand the indigenous sign language korea place manes can worth deaf culture or korean sign language. Even lf geographical characteristics of area have been changed or local product was disappeared in this situation by The origin of sign language reach in modern time local specialty by geographical form lt continued over generation. This can be regarded as the Korean sign language of the form in the way of visual. lt will be very valuable heritage in the preservation deaf culture.
The aim of this study was to explore and understand the communication experiences of the deaf, from their perspective. This study obtained informations through in-depth interviews with five people with deafness using sign language. The collected data was analyzed according to Giorgi's phenomenological qualitative methods. The following main themes were extracted from the practical experiences of the participants interviewed: 'being confined in the world without sound by themselves', 'learning and comprehending how to communicate', and 'looking for identity as a membership of the deaf community'. Sign language was a tool and mediator so that they could come out of their comfort zone, communicate with people, and connect to others in the deaf community. However, on the other hand, sign language had a contradictory role that restricted their activities to the deaf societies that could understand each other using sign language. As a result of this study, we can be cognizant of how much not hearing and speaking(hearing disability) is a difficulty for human beings. The implication of this study's results on policy making and actual practices are discussed focusing on the rights and well-being of the deaf.

As computing paradigm of the next generation, Ubiquitous Computing has emerged owing to growing of the Internet and computer networking technologies, and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) which is the core technology to achieve(realize, actualize) the Ubiquitous Computing environment, is being noticed. MIT's Auto-ID Center has proposed PML(Physical Markup Language) which is based on XML (Extensible Markup Language), is a standard language for describing physical objects, in order to interchange of data between each of these RFID application systems. The PML defines only core parts to describe physical objects, but on the other hand the other parts to be needed in practical application have to be defined with extended definitions separately. In this paper, therefore, the object information data model was designed, which defines the type of the object in order. to process electronic tag information in the RFID application service based on PML Core of Auto-ID Center and is applicable to the distribution service parts.

Cross-language text categorization(CLTC) can classify documents automatically using training set from other language. In this study, collections appropriated for CLTC were extracted from KTSET. Classification performance of various CLTC methods were compared by SVM classifier using machine translation. Results showed that the classification performance in the order of poly-lingual training method, training-set translation and test-set translation. However, training-set translation could be regarded as the most useful method among CLTC, because it was efficient for machine translation and easily adapted to general environment. On the other hand, low performance was shown to be due to the feature reduction or features with no subject characteristics, which occurred in the process of machine translation of CLTC.
Software architecture, which is the high level model of a software system, should be specified with ADLs (Architecture Description Languages) for its clarity and preciseness. Most of ADLs such as ACME, however, have not come into extensive use in industries since ADL users should learn a distinct notation specific to architecture. On the other hand, UML is a do facto standard general modeling language for software developments. UML provides a consistent notation and various supporting tools during the whole software development cycle. UML, being a general modeling language, does not provide all concepts that are important to architecture description. UML should be extended in order to precisely model architecture. A number of researches on architecture modeling based on WML have been progressed. Ail of them, however, are based on the UML1.x. UML2.0 embraces much more concepts that are important to architecture modeling than UML1.x. In this paper. we defined an architecture modeling language based on UML2.0. We defined Generic ADL by extending UML2.0 and applied the defined Generic ADL to a restaurant reservation system.
Strong compression effects in a stressed vowel due to the addition of syllables have been adopted as evidence for stress-timing. In relation to this, Yun (2002) investigated the compression effects of number of syllables on Korean vowel. The results generally revealed that Korean had neither significant nor consistent anticipatory or backwards compression effects, especially when it came to the sentence level. This led us to claim that Korean would not be a stress-timed language. But the language investigated in the study was only Korean, and further cross-linguistic research was needed to confirm the claim. In this study, Yun's (2002) sentence level data are compared with Fowler's (1981) English data. The comparison reveals that Korean seems to be similar to English in the backwards compression effect, whereas the two languages are markedly different in the anticipatory compression effect. Thus, if English is a stress-timed language and the strong anticipatory compression effect is evidence in favour of stress-timing as is claimed, the present cross-linguistic study confirms Yun's (2002) suggestion-Korean is unlikely to be stress-timed. On the other hand, compression effects are revisited: the differences in vowel compression between English and Korean are discussed from the syntactic and phonological points of view.
ICANN has been governing the Domain Name System(DNS) "technically" since 1998. The architecture is called Internet Governance, and it brings about many different discourses; "What does that govern?", "Who delegate its role to ICANN?"," How could the regime ensure fairness?" etc. This article will analyze on Internet Governance by applying the government approach of Foucault, and try to compare two parts, the 'core' and the 'edge' of Internet Governance for method. Whereas the 'core' of it refers the site that be governed by the formal contract directly, the 'edge' as the rest of it means informal friendly relations with ICANN. The 'core' rule was stemmed from technological community such as IAB or IETF historically. They had invented new world and its population to integrate the technical order as protocol and the semiotic order as language, that be based on new government mode. On the other hand, ".KR" domain, one of the 'edges', has been evolved into more heterogeneous system, through contest and conflict between traditional state and Internet Governance. The governed object of ".KR" domain is situated in the crossing of each other the 'protocol user', the 'language-semiotic user' and the' geographical resident'. Here the 'geographical resident' rule was weird for DNS, so that shows the internal lack of Internet Governance. It needs to move to the concept of 'Hangeul(Korean-language) user' rather than the 'geographical resident'.
